Superb mental tribe progressive music : sweet DCT style !

St David's ongoing remix project - Tributes To House Masters - takes a second swipe at the reworks form, probing deep below the surface layer of house music history for another worthy four-track V/A. Paul Johnson's production style is unmistakable before we've even read the name, and shines through even after a remix from St David Swag; 'Take A Lickin'' features several of his sonic blazons, from sticky MIDI brass to ticklish vocal chops. Johnson also famously remixed a Bohannon record, so the latter's inclusion here on the B2 makes this one feel just that bit more knowledgeable. DJ Pierre's MLK-sampling hooter 'Meet Hate With Love' is the favourite big, flabby soulful house chooer in between.

Overleaf is the new album by Paris-based musician Théo Martin, following Anti Atlas, released on LAAPS two years ago.

Overleaf was recorded over the course of a few intense months in 2026. Every recording made during this period eventually found its place within the album, transformed, fragmented and reassembled, sometimes far removed from its original form. The process gradually became a kind of puzzle, built from accumulated sounds, accidents and imperfections.

Tape remains at the heart of the album, but this time it is intertwined with a more extensive use of digital tools, opening new paths for transformation and layering.

Overleaf is about carrying what remains into what is yet to come.

Ailise Blake explains the deep, personal meaning behind the album's title, "Soave": "I titled this album "Soave" not only because of the sound of the word itself, which to my ears sounds like the wind, but because for me, soave is what we perceive silently beneath the action of everyday life, that veil of calm and stillness found when we stop to listen to ourselves; it represents the light and the tenderness, yet it is still and untouchable, it is alchemical, it is transcendental, it gives a sense of peace completely subjective to the mind that perceives it."

Thme is the alias of Paris-based musician Théo Martin. He has released numerous albums on labels such as Seil Records, Vaagner, and Lontano Series, along recent collaborations with artists Agyt and Lamasz.

Anti Atlas is Théo’s first solo work in two years, and his first release on vinyl and cd. The use of magnetic tape remains central to his creative process, enabling him to infuse the sound with a sense of fragility and vulnerability, despite its inherent unpredictability. Feedback loops, emerging from the interactions between tape recorders, served as the guiding principle throughout the entire recording. Longing, heartfelt aspirations, and the quiet hope that keeps us reaching for what lies ahead.

The House Music Institute is the new label by Pete M.. A recognized face on the Madrid underground scene, Pete M. has been making the city dance for the past two decades mixing House with Future Disco and Techno.

His first EP, LOFT 301 - Fourth World' includes two original tracks plus a remix by Jonny Sender.
Pete M. created two original tracks with a late night vibe using a classic groove and 4/4 rhythms combined with 808 analog sounds and beats.

Pete reached out to Jonny Sender for a remix who's recently released a number of original productions and remixes. Sender, bass player in the legendary band KONK, was part of the early '80s downtown scene in New York City as well as being a long time DJ. Jumping off from the original track, Sender brings some jazzy early '80s flavor while keeping the vibe strongly rooted in the present.
