We met Volen through a tip from our friends at Cyclone as a Los Angeles-based DJ who was also a natural with production. In 2021 we released Volen's Distortion mini-album on Rhizome Forms. Those heady productions stuck with us and we knew a vinyl would soon be ready. Four years later, with countless hours spent in his Arizona desert sound lab, we present four acidic dancefloor interventions on wax.

“Validation” is immediately lively with a cascading acid groove. Spinning through inversions, the vocal refrains frame the kaleidoscopic dance floor energy of the title track.

The record's a-side finds completeness with the twisted anthem “I've Got to Shower".
Wobbly chords simmer under that famous sample while a slick breakbeat delivers the rhythm.

Side-b arrives with swagger as "Left & Right” rolls in with a mental acid and breakbeat powerplant of a groove.The track's breakdown billows atmosphere while the lower frequencies growl.

Volen saves the starry ecstasy for the final track. “Pump Their Dump” is an upbeat and dreamy acid house journey evolving into a collage of ear candy samples that'll satisfy dancers looking for that positive vibration release.

Two years after a debut EP that left a strong mark and defined his raw, distinctive sound, DJ Physical returns with Guess Who's Back, a powerful new chapter in his sonic journey on Molekul. This second EP is a bold and hybrid project, blending high impact influences from Techno, Rave, Breakbeat, UK Garage and Brazilian Phonk into a style that's both unapologetically wild and deeply authentic.

Rising duo Moontalk step into the spotlight on Planet X with ‘Hot Line 84’, a track that channels tightly wound grooves, warped guitar licks and infectious vocal touches into a rolling dancefloor cut. Built with a sharp focus on rhythm and texture, the single captures the duo’s forward-thinking approach and delivers a fresh statement of intent on one of the underground’s most closely watched labels.

Planet X head Ben Sterling completes the release with his own reinterpretation, steering ‘Hot Line 84’ into darker, hypnotic territory. Crafted live using various guitars and analogue synths, Sterling’s remix brims with raw energy, tunnelling its way through Indie Dance textures while retaining the future-facing edge of the original. A track already championed by the likes of Michael Bibi, Solomun, ANOTR and more, it’s another bold showcase of Sterling’s versatility as both a producer and label curator — and a reminder of Planet X’s commitment to cutting-edge, cross-genre sound.

Together, the original and remix strike a balance between groove-driven immediacy and late-night depth, capturing two distinct yet complementary sides of the Planet X universe. ‘Hot Line 84’ stands as a compelling snapshot of where the label is heading next: innovative, immersive and firmly in tune with the dancefloor.

Following the lush listening LP outing by KAMM, the EG team is back in fine floorrocking form, this time with both label operatives on the dials as Rodney joins Dave Aju for his debut co-production. And what a debut it is: Highly-potent, raw, swinging house music of the highest order, complete with knocking 909 kicks, thick slapping snares, and a hypnotic melodic call-and-response tonal section that keeps things properly lifted and moving throughout. The vox evoke label boss Aju’s earlier catalog work, and he’s in particularly pointed mode here, spitting fire spoken word lines calling out various questionable corners of the dance music scene and humanity on the whole. A bold light-shining display during notably dark times, defending the once-sacred underground dance space against runaway trends of ego-driven capitalism, online image over actual skill sets, and the beyond low-ball barrier of entry into the arena. But by the time the soulful chorus lines hit and rise us up and onward toward the blissful musical finish, it is clear that this is in fact a unifying floor anthem and that indeed despite our differences amidst disheartening global chaos, at least “We Still Dancin". As always with the seasoned DJ-focussed three-piece Elbow Grease EP offerings, here we have the full A-side OG Vocal Mix cut at a crispy and tight 45rpm, a deliciously stripped and leveled-up EG Dub Mix on the B1, and finally the uplifting B2 Vibe Mix which doubles-down as half ambient instrumental builder and essential acapellacapella

The ninth installment in the MEGABREAKZ series dives headfirst into the raw energy of early industrial. A rhythmic discharge straight from the golden era of industrial new beat and industrial dub: rusted percussion, toxic delays, and sweat-drenched basslines. Velax channels the raw spirit of Chicago’s most abrasive scene, Wax Trax!, where beats were machines and noise had a body. But here, everything is filtered through the dub haze of the UK’s early counter-scene, with fractured echoes in the style of Keith LeBlanc, crafting the ideal soundtrack for a crumbling factory. Nu Groove spotlights the artists that made the legendary NYC label a firm favourite of crate diggers then and now with this special vinyl release of their vital tracks revisited by leading selectors of today. The label, born in 1988 by Frank and Karen Mendez as an outlet for the experimental works of the Burrell Brothers, quickly became a home for up-and-coming genre pioneers. Nu Groove Edits, Vol. 7 opens with the NiCe7 Edit of ‘Feel It’ by NYC favourites The Sound Vandals. More monikers of Rheji Burrell appear in the collection too, as the seminal ‘APT. 2B’ by N.Y. House’n Authority is reworked by Steve Bug, followed by Darius Syrossian’s edit of ‘C’Mon’ by Rheji’s Avant Garde moniker. Make A Dance’s edit of the Rhano Burrell classic ‘I’ve Fallen And I Can’t Get Up’, under his You Know Who! alias, closes out this vinyl collection of future record box staples.

The Finnish nu school jungle label is back with an amazing Blade Runner sampling sci-fi jungle belter with three distinct remixes. Wasteman’s original version alternates between mystical storytelling and heavyweight amen salvos. Park Shadow’s dark cyborg vibed remix would make Metalheadz
proud, while Tim Reaper serves some absolutely smashing amens alongside a commanding bassline. Label curator ODJ Pirkka takes things to yet another direction with a long atmospheric jungle tune that builds on the original’s vibey Goemon loop, adding bunch of new instruments into the mix.

Solid Snake Series is the new VA line showcasing the next generation of cutting-edge electronic music, combining dancefloor functionality with multifarious layered sonic exploration. It debuts the collaboration of label boss Phase Fatale with Falling Ethics owner P.E.A.R.L., as well as fellow KHIDI resident Yanamaste, with a rare outing. Label mainstay Unhuman brings his sound directly into the techno realm alongside Nørbak and the first track together by Ne/Re/A and Clarisa Kimskii from New York City.

Mellow Man’s Central Park EP is back in full effect, delivering three deep house gems packed with swing, soul, and that unmistakable underground feel.

Deep isn’t just a sound—it’s a state of mind.

Kyntral is a co-founder of the so-far so-sophisticated Argentinian label Danza Nativa, and he serves up a deeply immersive trip here. 'Inner Depths' is liquid deep techno in the mould of Neel or Donato Dozzy. Percolating rhythms and dubby undercurrents subsume mind and body while deft little details place you underwater. 'Bloodstone' is a little more lumpy with a gentle smattering of percussion of drums that bump. 'Ancient Apparition' is a spacious sound with wispy pads disappearing to infinity, glassy tinkles and undulating drums all getting you into a meditative state. The Patrick Russell Phantom remix is more warped and dark to add a nice counterpoint.

Manchester-based Aiden Francis is at the forefront of the current prog house sound. His new EP cements that position with four more immersive club cuts doused in melody and subtle euphoria as well as hints of old school rave. 'Circuit Kween' is a punch one to start the harks back to classic Sasha & Digweed, 'Kompackt' hits its stride with an urgent low end and snappy finger clicks, 'Twizted' has a warped baseline and dark energy and 'Hex Klub' shuts down with more zoned out and trance infused feels with plenty of colour.

Troubadours is a tentacular collective oscillating around Laura Lippie, Kim Khan and Dr Winzo.

“Everything Is Being Recorded All The Time” is the result of three years of sonic explorations in Lyon, Abbecourt, Berlin and Den Pasar, carving hours long studio jams into deep, narcotic mutated funkiness.

Traditional instruments and high-tech ones are invoked to confront beauty and misery : the system is contemplated through dilated pupils. After an initial European release in 1976 on the Isadora label Age Of Earth was re-issued on Virgin Records in Summer 1977 and fast became a beacon for electronic music and what was becoming known as ambient - Some cite its very title as helping introduce 'new age' music - This re-issue faithfully replicates the original 1977 Virgin Records release and is pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl.
Guitarist and synthesiser player Manuel Göttsching formed Ashra after disbanding Ash Ra Tempel, the outfit he had led since 1971. Moving away from the space rock of his previous group, Ashra was a far more electronics-based project. Recorded in Berlin, between March and June 1976, the four pieces on the album represent the very best of what became known as Kosmiche: dreamily repetitive, glancing to the stars while keeping feet firmly on the ground.

New Age Of Earth is a record full of contrasts: the throbbing, techno-predicting Sunrain opens the album; with its waves and crickets sound effects, Ocean Of Tenderness pulses gently like a space-age early Fleetwood Mac; Deep Distance brings elements of surf music into glacial electronica. At 21 minutes long, Nightdust occupies all of the album's second side, a ruminative, slowly unfolding piece that, after its crescendo, gives way to Göttsching's impressively celestial electric guitar solo.

Mélange is a new community and online platform for young emerging artists based between Europe and Australasia.

The first of the label’s VA compilation album, just released,spans corners of electronic and world music and weavesbetween classical/ambient sounds and UKG, Jungle & Disco. It’s a commitment to multi-genre discographies and the need for more established career paths for young, gifted artists.

With early support on the vinyl from Four Tet and Haai, our goal is to help share and further establish European and Oceanic sounds with music lovers everywhere.
