opo’s 666ridims (2020 - 2026), compiled by J.TRIPP, brings together tracks from his 666ridims netlabel, reflecting on the singular sound worlds of some of his solo work. Like a discovery made by neutrino sensors, opo’s tracks research the transformation of rhythm, swing, and structure, aiming for a new grid. Sketchy and raw, processing emotions and experiences, regaling stories, and asking questions, opo relates in trance verse. All tracks here breathe his focus on improvisation, experimentation, and collaboration. Some of the beats featured on 666ridims (2020 - 2026) are outlines for freestyles and songwriting ideas, a practice formed during a long-distance music conversation with illustrator, printmaker, painter, designer, and maker Billy Bigwood. Other tracks are more club-oriented, like speculative genres programmed in odd meters. Japanese Barcelona-based DJ Hanakito contributes to one track, using samples and chops sourced from her vinyl imports.

Through Afroelectronic experimentation and diasporic narratives, opo encodes his soul's past and future through his music. Encoded, activated, returned. Australian based imprint Paper-Cuts returns to physical in 2025 for their 10th release on the label. Celebrating the debut feature-length album from ‘Radart’ aka Dylan Batelic (Paper-Cuts, Sunflower Aquarium). Featuring an 8-track collection of ambient, downtempo, breaks and more, taken from selected works between 2022-2024.

The palette of ‘The Seed’ is defined and refined in the best way. It’s an album that opens up many pathways. Brisker, freakier tracks like “Shadow In The Dark,” “R U Serious?” and “Humanity” run towards a softer finish with “Somedays” and the seven-minute, eyeliner-smearing closing ballad, “Lullaby Garden.” These are proper songs made with vintage machines, with a sound that carries obvious influences. ’ The Seed’ pulses forward as the body of the beast is turned inside out, wearing a beating heart on its sleeve, honoring those who left us too soon - DAF’s Gabi Delgado, Nitzer Ebb’s Douglas McCarthy, Depeche Mode’s Andrew Fletcher, and Sandwell District’s Juan Mendez. It’s important to note the emotional core of ‘The Seed’ album is the song ‘Synchronicity’ that is filled with both love and regret, the story of losing a friend without properly making amends. It is unquestionably heartbreaking, but is also delivered with a pang of hope, the feeling that with so many sunrises caught, so many additions and subtractions in life, a perspective has been gained. Big welcome to Time is Now for J Wax for a bit of a statement EP and I am coming out swinging here cos this is a really good record. There’s good, and then there’s this, the kind of good that stays good.

You know that feeling when something’s just right. When flow state becomes clarity. Well listening to this EP from J Wax gives me that feeling. This is proper Goldilocks business. It’s equal parts Gun Fingers and Loved up hugs. Just right.

By now we all know that something very special happens when Speed Garage collides with 1st wave UK Hard House - but - what makes this just right is that J Wax didn’t stop there, just like the Dutch 2nd Wave of Hard House he’s slid onwards into euphoric trance and oh boy am I here for it. In 1997 we got Double99’s Rip Groove and Nalin & Kane’s Beach Ball and for me this EP has as much in common with perfectly formed ‘97 Trance as it does with Speed Garage. Who says you can’t have it all!

We’ve been following J Wax’s output for years. He has been grafting hard. And for me he’s already firmly a part of the long lineage of globally significant Scottish party starting producers and DJ’s. So when we signed this EP to Time is Now I was gassed. Four big tunes. Sick EP. For me it’s crystal. J Wax is now a producer operating in rarefied air.

The Milanese psy-maestro commands the floor in a manner few can resist. A slew of in-demand transmissions for his own Lagunas imprint, Kalahari Oyster Cult and Francesco Del Garda’s Timeless label champion his command on the nocturne dance. The 2025 EP Bongdrift for djfix and Jek’s Earth Dog stable furthered this agenda, and now he seeks a second bite with follow up Muerte Deluxe.

Opener Control maneuvers the night with an acidic bite, its pulsating bassline and psychedelic groove synergised for the peak. The title track aligns ruder, a cheeky stomp igniting the low-slung rhythm with ragga-fuelled fervour. OneWayExit tracks on the infinite with unrelenting delirium in kinetic hypnosis, before R3vision rolls out on the finale; its moon-lit reflections on memories and reality tempering the discordant groove towards its melancholic conclusion.

Lorenzo Dada makes his first appearance on his own label, Romance a record label dedicated to romantic, 90s-inspired house music.

The release features three original tracks, including Fantastic Love, an iconic track for SOUND, capturing the signature vibe and identity of the new label.

Producer duo Crossroads is back with another track featuring the talented young singer Cler. This time, they’re taking on a huge classic originally by Grover Washington Jr. and Bill Withers. 'Just The Two Of Us'—a soul classic that’s been loved across three generations—gets a fresh update here, perfectly matching today’s modern soul sound. And once again, Cler delivers goosebumps with her vocals, bringing a seamless mix of simplicity and passion to an timeless hit.

Long time label collaborator and dub maestro Havantepe is back on Berg Audio with yet another journey into the deeper, more atmospheric shades of techno, unfolding across four timeless tracks. This release marks the highly awaited come back of the imprint’s “Monument” series, featuring a full cover designed by Juli Jah.

For its 15th Year Anniversary, Knotweed continues its long collaboration with Myk Derill, exploring different shades of bass-heavy dub techno.

Dolly TS welcomes Juri Heidemann! The versatile german producer is known for his modern stripped hypnotic grooves and unique rhythm textures. His Echo Mute EP strikes hard with a set of deep captivating, pumping, melodic, razor sharp techno!

Dub-Stuy continues its one-riddim series with Punchliner riddim, an original production crafted by DJ Madd, returning on beatmaking duty since his 2021 relick of the classic Answer Riddim. Driven by syncopated rhythms and a rolling bassline, this new addition to the series provides the perfect backdrop for three standout cuts from an international cast of vocalists.

The late Nazamba offers "Thief," a powerful social commentary in the tradition of dub poets like Linton Kwesi Johnson. UK-based Ras Demo showcases his versatility with "Lyrical Designer," while Spanish vocalist Lasai unleashes rub-a-dub energy on "The Punchliner." An instrumental version is also included.

The Synewave label has legendary status amongst those who know and now boss man Damon Wild is back on it with a quartet of deep techno treasures. 'Avoidant' is a roaming, cavernous sound with gentle synth notes rising and falling over hefty kicks. 'Invincible' is more sci-fi in style with icy modulations and roaming pads over slinky, kinetic drum patterns and 'Organica' is a jumbled mix of feather hi-hats and more bleeping pulses with kicks pulled far apart. After the Detroit stylings of 'Coronas,' Sonic Mind records boss Donnel Knox aka D-Knox remixes it into something more direct and rhythmically rugged.

The Soft Chaos captures the essence of music “in the moment “ - the interaction of three musicians within the improvisation. It embodies the true spirit and essence of “jazz” - music created spontaneously, yet within the boundaries of an art form that has influenced the sound of modern music and many genres for nearly a century.

A collaborative, improvisational, and free-form trio project led, produced, and mixed by Nathan Haines with Joe Kaptein (keyboards) and Elijah Whyte (drums), recorded in just one day at Auckland Lab Studios.

Hector Ram and Ricky Ramirez are starting to celebrate ten years of Short Attention Records and it's US house stalwart DJ Aakmael they've enlisted to pop the champagne cork and cut the cake. He's one of those artists who turns out plenty of music, much of it sounding within the same consistent deep house framework. But there's always a little something to his tunes that keeps you coming back for more - a perfectly chosen sample, a nagging bassline, a sense of melancholy that you cannot escape. All of that is true on his latest. 'Things Always Happen' has keys that convey beautiful pain, then 'If You Believe' is a deep house haze with smudgy samples and blues-y ache. 'Free' is more light with trilling jazz-funk keys and earthy guitar frets sprinkled into the mix. 'Stopmotion' shuts down with a signature Aakmael bump. Just timeless stuff.

CEPX003 continues the X-Series on CEP Records with a four track release by Elyas. As a long standing figure in the international techno scene, he has built a strong name through many years of dedication. Known for releases on labels such as Soma Records and Player, Elyas stands for raw and uncompromising techno with influences from ghetto and acid. Alongside vinyl and digital releases, he also runs two own labels and continues to shape the scene with a clear and functional sound. A1 'Cabale' and A2 'Bop Gun' move in a similar direction. Bouncy kicks meet acid lines and atmospheric pads that give both tracks a deep and driving feeling. Straight forward 4 to the floor techno for sweaty warehouse mornings. Small twists, rough transitions and unexpected moments keep the tracks moving from start to finish. On the B side, 'Gimme The Loot' and 'Ghetto Sneak Assault' bring a strong ghetto influence. Playful arrangements, raw vocals and sharp one shots create a loose but powerful groove. The tracks feel direct and slightly chaotic in the best way, while still keeping full control.

ARMOR, a new alias by Pascal Pinkert (Ambassade / Dollkraut). A few years ago he visited Turkey and Lebanon to collaborate with artists such as trip-hop legend Zeid Hamdan and Egyptian singer Maii. While many of these recordings found their way into Dollkraut releases, revisiting the material sparked the need for a new outlet. With ARMOR, Pinkert dives deeper into the space between folk traditions and electronic experimentation. Hypnotic drones merge with Middle Eastern percussion, while subtle rhythmic structures fuse with immersive soundscapes.

Dublin deep house fixture Glenn Davis returns with four tracks steeped in the smoked-out warmth of classic Chicago and New York house music, though there's enough personality here to stop things drifting into pure revivalism. 'The Journey' opens through supple drum movement and glowing Rhodes figures that unfurl lazily across the groove, as little chord flourishes flicker at the edges like light catching dust through half-drawn curtains. 'Love Is' softens the mood further through hazy vocal vapour and richly upholstered keys that melt gently into the rhythm. On the flip, 'Free Your Mind' introduces firmer rhythmic pressure without disturbing the record's low-lit sensuality. 'Da Jazz' closes things beautifully through brushed percussion and featherlight piano motifs with a rolling swing that feels most elegant in its looseness. Very classy deep house, this.

Belgian artist Jennifur announces MAZDA, an album inspired by long car rides, emotional transitions, and the strange beauty of existing between places, people, and versions of yourself.

Musically, MAZDA moves fluidly between genres and emotional textures, blending electronic love songs, indie rock structures, UK bass influences, cinematic electronica, and flashes of classical composition.

The project began when Jennifur's brother sent him a playlist called MAZDA, filled with songs their father used to play in the car. What started as a nostalgia gesture quickly became the emotional blueprint for the album.

While writing MAZDA, Jennifur realized he was unknowingly creating the soundtrack to a fictional romcom film that existed only in his imagination. Rather than avoiding clichés like love, heartbreak, growing older, or transition, he chose to embrace them wholeheartedly.

"In a car, you exist in a kind of in-between space," Jennifur explains. "You've left something behind, but you haven't arrived yet. That feeling became the entire record."

The album opener, From A to B, sets the emotional framework for the entire project. Its extended introduction mirrors the exact moment you pull out of your street and realisethat something new has begun.

Highlights include "I Need You To Hold On", written for Jennifur's brother as a message of encouragement. The song "I Once Had a Dream Where I Could Fly" originated from a conversation with his father about recurring dreams of flying. Meanwhile, "From The Sideline" confronts a quieter existential fear, becoming a coming-of-age anthem for anyone who suddenly realizes they have become more of a spectator than an active participant in their own life.

Tracks like "In The Sun" bring a softer, almost cinematic intimacy to the album. Written around the image of spending one final Sunday at the seaside with someone who is seriously ill, the song captures the beauty and fragility of fleeting moments. The closing track "The Dialogue Before We Left" serves as the emotional final scene of the album.

"For me, it's the moment after a long drive when you turn off the engine but stay seated for a minute," Jennifur explains. "You realise something happened. You listened to my story, and we travelled from A to B together."

Argentinian artist Juan Hansen presents his debut album 'Ultrasonido'; twelve tracks spanning indie dance, tech house, and soft melodic house, released on his own newly founded label Ultrasonido, with the second single 'Inside My Mind' coming out via belonging by Innellea.

After his breakthrough Boiler Room appearance in 2019, Juan has been on a relentless quest to push the boundaries, playing major stages around the globe, becoming one of the figureheads of the Argentinian electronic music world. As an exceptional live artist, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Juan brings a real sense of groove to the stage, merging two worlds effortlessly: deeply emotional songwriting and direct, dancefloor-focused club tracks. 'Ultrasonido' brings both sides together. The album is a clear evolution of Juan Hansen, presenting a wider range of his sound, which he also presents in his live performances. Wishys Entstehungsgeschichte war ein produktiver Ausbruch, angetrieben von der musikalischen Synergie der Band: die EPs ,Mana" und ,Paradise" im Jahr 2023, das Debütalbum ,Triple Seven" im Jahr 2024 und die Folge-EP ,Planet Popstar" im Jahr 2025. Nachdem diese Veröffentlichungen Beifall fanden und das Ansehen der Band wuchs, war die Konzeption von ,Nature's Pill" grundlegend anders. Das Album entstand in engerer Zusammenarbeit als frühere Veröffentlichungen, und die Gruppe traf sich erneut mit dem ,Triple Seven"-Co-Produzenten Ben Lumsdaine in Los Angeles, wo sich das Quintett in ein winziges Studio quetschte und die Hälfte der Songs live im Raum aufnahm, wodurch das Album die unmittelbare Energie einer Band erhielt, die nach intensiven Tourneen perfekt aufeinander eingespielt ist. Das gab ihnen diesmal die Möglichkeit, eine noch größere Bandbreite an Einflüssen zu vereinen, wobei sich der 90er-Jahre-Dream-Pop und Alternative-Rock von ,Triple Seven" mit dem College-Rock der 80er und dem Indie der 00er vermischte.

Wishys ,Nature's Pill" fängt eine Welt ein, in der sich das Leben unvorhersehbar und überwältigend anfühlt, aber dennoch voller Möglichkeiten ist. Originally released in 1994, Jon Tye and Pete Smith's collaborative album responded to the growing chill-out movement by leaning into classical and avant-garde influences from Satie, Debussy and Cage through to Soft Machine, Incredible String Band and Eno. Recorded across various studios stacked with classic and rare synths, Io was patiently composed into slowly unfolding suites punctuated with ripples of arrhythmic interference to arrive at a purist vision of true ambient.

The next instalment in Forever Records' ongoing reissue series shines a light back on this landmark piece of UK electronica with the first official reissue since its original edition on Rising High. As well as the original double LP pressing and a new CD digipak version, there will also be a uniquely numbered, limited edition housed in a gatefold sleeve that comes with a bonus 10" featuring two previously unreleased versions of the album's opening cut, 'Wimborne'.

Die Legenden der elektronischen Musik, Soft Cell, bestehend aus Sänger & Frontmann Marc Almond und Multiinstrumentalist & Produzent Dave Ball, veröffentlichen mit "Danceteria" ihr sechstes und letztes Studioalbum - zugleich ein Liebesbrief an das New York der frühen 80er Jahre, wo Soft Cell ihre ersten drei Alben aufnahmen. "Danceteria" ist ein großartiger, stilvoller und verspielter Abschied von 47 Jahren gemeinsamer Musikgeschichte von Marc & Dave als Soft Cell und präsentiert Darbietungen, die für die Karriere dieser Electro-Pop-Legenden prägend sind. Die traurige Realität ist, dass Dave Ball die eine Hälfte von Soft Cell war, und abgesehen von Live-Auftritten kann ich ohne ihn keine Soft-Cell-Songs schreiben."

For the man born Che Jessamy, his rap moniker isn’t some over-the-top rock star persona contrived for public consumption, it’s just a name. What you hear on his records is really who he is - a heavy-tongued griot from East Flatbush, Brooklyn with a gift for vivid stream-of-consciousness storytelling. His bars are imbued with the wisdom he’s gained in his lifetime - especially in the 14 years since he first made his debut with the Pro Era collective.


The elaborate title of his new album, Glory Of The King’s Hand, speaks to his gratitude for the hand that life’s dealt him, which is a pretty good one. At age 34, he does what he loves professionally and does it on his own terms. That’s something to be thankful for.

Known as much for his Yardie inflected Mancunian accented Mcing as his sweet melodic singing. It is fair to say both tracks Run Away & Somethin Heavy are massive.
