Are you ready for fresh blood! Some time ago, Tomorrow Is Now Kid! head honcho Alex Salvador and Jelle Meeuwsen aka "Pokopoko" met while spinning records and talking music at a party in Tilburg, The Netherlands. A big stack of demos got sent over to the TINK! headquarters and eventually a debut EP named "Petrichor" was created. A powerful four-tracker with a dusty and melancholic take on today's House music. It's raw and funky but changes vibes throughout, keeping it fresh. That said, "Petrichor EP" is an emotional rollercoaster and a tribute to the ever-changing and unpredictable Dutch weather.

Dreamteam pairing of Defaultman and Sapurra collaborate on this highly impressive 3 tracker for Poker Flat Wax. The two have collaborated frequently before, and with this vinyl only release, the juices are really flowing. 'Paperman' kicks things off - a slinky mid-tempo groover with an edge. The tight drums keep the rhythm ticking over while dub fx and a thick bassline add the drama and suspense. On the flip comes 'Groove Tutorial' - as fair a name as any when the programming is this good. The beat shuffles and chugs along, always staying fresh and interesting, while a minimal layer of other instrumentation adds depth. 'Lessons Cost' rounds off the EP, a full jazzy-house excursion that showcases the producers’ wide ranging talents and ear for rhythmic excellence.

Cologne’s resident conjurer Hodini steps up for his second solo EP on WOLF Music Recordings. Bringing elements from his hip hop background into this unique five tracker, Hodini dusts off long forgotten cuts, sampled with that MPC chopped graininess, blending lo-fi vocal sound bites with deft jazz loops, all adding a distinct, textured edge to his work.

‘Velved Groove’ and ‘Special Shoutout’ kick things off, snapping in funk fills and skipping guitar riffs behind a concoction of hazy spirals that transfix from the off. The former is an uptempo, twisted, jazz club house jam and the latter a bubbling voyage through the afterhours, bourbons flowing and faces flying from every corner.

A master of misdirection, Hodini also moonlights as one of Germany’s leading underground hip hop producers HulkHodn, proving he can flip styles and meld genres with ease. Featuring his alter ego, ‘Doggo Content’ is his nod to this - a crackling slo-mo trip through the intoxicated mind, soundtracked by stretched vocal snippets, wading bass notes and a crunching snare.

Two of the harder-hitting club tracks close out the EP, both focused around hypnotic bassline carousels and looping layers. ‘Where’s The Wine’ interjects Rhodes flickers with bongo rhythms and unsettling laughes, as ‘One4Fries’ marries off-kilter, piano stabs alongside jazzy flourishes and fizzing percussion.

Jimi Tenor & Freestyle Man, Finnish legends and everything-but-grey eminences of electronic
music, return to Studio Barnhus for another four-tracker full of the good stuff. Deep house as
done by professionals! The world keeps changing, people and sounds come and go, but when Jimi
croons away over Freestyle Man's finn-tastic funk foundations, it all just about makes sense to us.
Plenty of flute solo on this thing as well!

Franc Spangler makes a welcome and long overdue return to Delusions with a mighty-fine three tracker packed with the good stuff. The throbbing bump of the title track with it’s bouncing square-wave bassline and drifting stabs leads the charge, crunchy hats driving along the groove whilst a cut up vocal ratchets up the energy.

Flipping over we have Somewhere Else, a much deeper and jazzier affair based around a repeating four bar horn part. Never straying too far from the dance floor, Franc keeps things percussive and dynamic whilst conjuring up a moment of musical bliss, chiming synths dripping down like golden rays of sunshine on the densely textured orchestral layers.

Closing off the release, Dreamworld takes us by the hand on a tropical excursion, low slung beats punctuated by echoing xylophone riffs and Apito whistle. Dubby atmospherics and warm Juno106 chords give the track a Balearic mood perfect for the summer months ahead.

"Escape from dimension" is the 2nd EP of Saint Paul on his own imprint Moonrise Hill Material. Lyon based artist takes you on a musical journey through his diverse influences. This 5 tracker is a strong blend of funk, jazz, soul, hip-hop and house music, right on point for the summertime!

Tropical Disco Records return with another sizzling four-tracker, tackling deeper, more soulfully sustained tracks which still cipher the same party-centric impact consistent across every release.

Moodeena’s ‘The Chase’ is a fireball of an opener, showcasing a tantalizing flurry of teasing brass and uninhibited guitar strokes, cooly climaxing, sending shocks of piloerections to every corner of your body.

Next up label co-founder Sartorial on a slightly slowed, yet typical love flex with ‘Addicted To You’. It oozes high romantic interfusings of heady beats and a fantastically reinvented vocal. It’s an ode to that golden moment in mood music paired with midsummer sun, certainly one of his best works to date.

Tropical Disco debutant Chevals offers up a delectable deep house symphony with ‘Saturn’, a lush suite of hazy chords, boogie vamps and shuffling percussion.

Gledd & The Funk District’s ‘Late At Midnight’ closes of the record in fine style, looped swells and vintage stabs, laying a dexterous foundation for the full-frontal, fanatical vocal to follow. It appears the label are showing off using this tyrannic tool as the EPs send off, making you nostalgic about a night never experienced and stomping another firm footprint in contemporary disco’s orbit.

Velvet May returns on “ Tears On Waves” with the 4-
tracker EP “Unknown Bodies”.
This time he is joined by the live duo Years of Denial
and the northern-irish artist Autumns who delivered
their own interpretation and vision of the tracks in the B
side.
"Unknown Bodies" tell us a story, a contorted story of
lust and infernal gazes, yet divine that spread infamy
and glory, grief and bliss. A story of lost inhibitions and
sensations. A story of burning breasts. Now is the time
when each flower fades away like incense and sounds
and scents turn in the evening air.

The shivers of sweat 
Coming and going”
The artist wants to show something. A natural desire
which finds its fulfillment in the body, but that instantaneously dies at the end of the sensations.
Sensations too much strong to last so much time. That’s
exactly why he doesn’t never renounce to let go his
inhibitions completely, having fear to be burnt, devoured
and thrown in the deep end.
On the B side, the original tracks find a completely
different vision, but especially a new light, leading the
listener to a different path of the same perverse and
twisted nature.
Years of Denial is the alter-face of French musician/DJ/
producer Jerome Tcherneyan and Czech performance
artist/DJ Barkosina Hanusova. With the use of hardware
combined with vocals and a plethora of dub devices,
YOD are re-visiting the dark corner of Post Punk,
Industrial music movement and rave culture. Its remix
fully distorts the mood, introducing a new color and
identity, juxtaposing acid sounds and sharp groove
elements. The vocal has a new touch, and processed in
another way, drags everything to it creating a vortex.
Autumns is the solo project of Christian Donaghey, from
Derry, Northern Ireland, an outlet for electronic post-
punk with a lethal pulse. He delivered a train-shaped
remix, making the bass line a key element for the whole
track and finding the perfect “carpet” where to express in
a powerful and straight groove, based on his beloved
Roland 707.

Veyl Industries is releasing ‚Dreams & Memories‘, the debut work from Ori, one half of TV.OUT. This 8-tracker
features malevolent electronics, experiments with noise, textures and blood.

West Coast mainstay Dave Aju continues with his own varied style and pace, coming correct once again on Circus Company
with a truly special three-tracker of straight up dance floor bombs. This San Francisco DJ/producer is a master sampler, groove
innovator and jazz influenced artist who has been with this label for ten years. In that time, he has turned out plenty of timeless
LPs and EPs that have earned him a deserving reputation as a truly cultured craftsman.
Just in time for the warm summer months ahead, these pieces are fit for maximum daytime, nighttime, and after-hours pleasure
respectively. The releas kicks off with title track ‘Love In Zero Gravity’, one of those raw undefinable Dave Aju grooves, loaded
with soul and unique musicality. It builds in bass-heavy intensity, bright epic bursts and ecstatic waves like we've never heard
from him before. Next up the voodoo stylings continue on ‘Aubergine Dream’ but in a much deeper mode, where ultra-sweaty
basement funk collides with the darkest shades of purple imaginable, all laced-up with otherworldly lysergic lines. Finally,
‘Gatadu’ rounds things out with pure class, a bouncing robust house cut done-up with generous helpings of live percussion, rich
textures, and Aju's velvety vox - the perfect recipe to keep dancing long into Sunday's sun rays, all smiles and sing-a-long vibes
for the real heads and lovers. This is another superb offering from one of dance music’s most fascinating artists.

Rotciv is the Brasilian born, Berlin based man behind Mister Mistery records. This prolific producer has been out there for quite a long time and you might remember "The Rimshooters", the long lasting collaboration with Massimiliano Pagliara himself. Now it is time for Rotciv to offer a piece of his synthesisers' craftsmanship to Funnuvojoere Records. This five tracker EP expresses Rotciv's skills with harmony and music progression. A1 AWAKENING starts off with a piano house arpeggio and slowly evolves into a trance acid-tinged explosive motive. Organic feeling drums develop giving it a disco touch that will put a smile on the crowded dance floor. A2 GOOD SPELL combines a pure cosmic style with a New Beat-like dissonance and uplifting vocals. B1 KNOW THE UNKNOWN keeps the experimentation levels high with distortions and an 8bit dialogue that drifts into a progressive-kind of sound. Deeper than the rest B2 puts on stage a dark landscape that reminds of a black and white vampire movie. B3 INTERMISSION follows up and gives the final ambient touch to this delightful EP.

MLiR are back with Trans-World Junktion, a summer-ready two-tracker

Bogwoppa is back with some serious tunes recovered from DAT! This time we bring you a 4 tracker of some of the tracks from Secret Squirrel . These tracks are all from the original 1992 releases on the Bogwoppa label but includes 2018 remix of "It's Outrageous". Ltd to 300 copies!

Following the success of Vol 2 the bearded man in disguise returns with another powerful 4 tracker for the labels 3rd release. Vol 3 keeps the energy levels in the red with catchy bass stabs, sexy vocals and feel good synths. The Berlin Based “BEIN” kicking off his Be As One debut with a mental shaded and well crafted 4 tracker EP, with his own take on modern meets old school techno. from the dark room melodies and pads of “Undo Redo” trough the Detroitish touch of “Ante Litteram” and “Crystal” to the broken beats and heavy bass of on “Rawk”, Classic not to be missed release from Shlomi Aber’s Long Standing Imprimt.

Helsinki-based duo Timo Lassy & Teppo Mäkynen present a new two-tracker on We Jazz Records and dive deep into different moods on this 7" / digital single release. Lassy plays sax, Mäkynen (who is also known as "Teddy Rok" and via his Stance Brothers alias) plays drums and handles production duties. First up, we have "Zomp", a deliciously slow funk piece with enough groove to move mountains. On the flipside, "Dark Magenta" takes things leftfield with its tech-like rhythmic approach applied here onto an acoustic jazz quartet and hinting at Mäkynen's interest in electronic music.

As far as the term "award-winning" goes, here we have two of the latest "Finnish jazz album of the year" winners joining forces and doing what they do best. "Zomp / Dark Magenta" is out on Helsinki's We Jazz Records on 3 May. The 7" vinyl single follows the label's path of producing their singles with beautiful heat-pressed labels and serving them just right in generic brown sleeves.

After a lengthy hiatus from the label, Melbourne's best kept secret Booshank returns with a highly anticipated four tracker, featuring a contribution from Japanese artist Gonno. Tumultuous beat tracks meet detailed synthesis to form the signature sound we've come to love and expect from the mystery man.

In "operating with a blown mind" Booshank has manifested the energy and intricacy of his previous fantasies on Butter Sessions, Domestic Documents, Unthank and his own newly formed imprint Couch Acid. A hybrid of club ready cruisers and dreamy mind-melting ambience that could soundtrack a nightclub experience in an alternate reality or a low-key arvo in the sun.

A great crossover record for both DJs and fans of more ambient vibrations bolstered by a crackerjack interpretation by Gonno.
