The concept of strict musical genre has arguably been dead for decades, and the latest offering from Danish powerhouses Gustaf Ljunggren and Emil de Waal once again reinforces this notion. Their third collaborative album "Stockholm Kobenhavn", a spacious, cinematic and boundaryless exploration of their shared musical connection is set to release on July 7th on April Records. Emil de Waal has been one of Denmark"s leading drummers for three decades. Gustaf Ljunggren initially studied the saxophone at the Rhythmic Conservatory of Copenhagen, where whispers spread throughout the school that he was the best saxophone player in town and yet never practiced. His career has seen him prove that he can bring grace, musicality and heart to any instrument he touches, from the pedal steel guitar, to the bass, piano, and more. In the words of Danish multi-instrumentalist Kresten Osgood, "Although an instrument may be new to him he is able to play it like he has had a lifetime of experience working with it. Over the years I think the only instrument I haven"t seen him play is the drums." "Stockholm Kobenhavn" has a vast array of influences including Jazz, Americana, Film Music and Electronica. It is full of space, coaxing the listener into a meditative state and inviting them to drift away with their own imagination. The record plays as a series of open-ended sketches or moods, absent of big defining melodies or familiar song-like structures. Each piece evolves over time, providing musical interest in the form of rhythmic ideas, rich harmony, texture, and repetitive melodic patterns from a guitar or rhodes. Imaginative electronic production techniques combine the warm sounds of acoustic instruments with a constantly developing palette of otherworldly textures and effects. Grounded by an unwavering pulse, the combination of programmed beats and acoustic drums provide the hypnotic foundation over which the pair explore and challenge their common musical ground. The album closes with an intimate recording from a performance at STUK in Belgium, with a comforting guitar-led Americana tune bringing the listener back into the room and sharing in the joy the duo have felt in playing together over the past twenty years.

Die massive Produktion von "Beyond Acheron" stammt von TEMPLE OF DREADs Schlagzeuger Jörg Uken, der in seinem weit bekannten Soundlodge Tonstudio unter anderem bereits Alben von DEW-SCENTED, GOD DETHRONED, OBSCENITY, SUICIDAL ANGELS und WARPATH aufgenommen hat. TEMPLE OF DREAD wurden auf Spiekeroog im Jahr 2017 von Gitarrist Markus Bünnemeyer als Ventil für seine Old School Death Metal Ambitionen gegründet. Im Jahr 2018 stießen Sänger Jens Finger und Schlagzeuger Jörg Uken dazu, mit denen Bünnemeyer auch bei Slaughterday aktiv war. Schon im nächsten Jahr erschien das Debütalbum "Blood Craving Mantras" (2019). The Undertones formed in Derry, Northern Ireland, in 1975 and released their fourth album ‘The Sin Of Pride’ in 1983 which peaked at #43 in the UK Album Charts.

The Sin of Pride was by far the most exploratory album the Undertones ever issued. For their fourth album, the band injected more post-punk dance into their growing soul sound and so the album is looser and more focused on mood and groove than their previous titles.

The record still offers some classic tracks from the Northern Irelanders, including ‘’Got To Have You Back", "Chain of Love" and fan favourite "The Love Parade’’.

Covers such as Leon Ware's "Got to Have You Back," which opens the LP, and Smokey Robinson's "Save Me," which closes it, are bookends for a moving blend of funky, driving, deeply textured psychedelic soul music that makes pearls of tracks such as "Untouchable".

This reissue is an exact replica of the original release and has been pressed on plum colour vinyl for the first time.

Celebrating dubwise origins, Mole Audio delivers two fresh remixes of their very first release: Andy Martin ft. Gavsborg’s Plato & Caves.

Gavsborg is a towering figure in Jamaica’s dancehall scene. So when Andy found an acapella, he set to work on a renegade edit. Subsequently approved and embraced by Gavborg himself, Andy’s interpretation provided the launch point for Mole Audio – and is re-envisioned twice more here.

Paired with the original A-side, the first B-side remix comes courtesy of Dub War’s legendary Bill Fuller. A progenitor of London bass music, Bill’s records as Dubwar are prized among collectors. Pairing hypnotic beats with spacious textures, an insistent analog bass line weaves its way through an infectiously dystopian atmosphere.

Taking a minimalistic house-driven approach, Andy’s all-new Mad Magnetism Version brings Gavsborg’s original vocal to a prime time environment. Sizzling high hats and diving bass drops combine to keep the dancefloor in motion before insistent dub chords further elevate the urgent atmosphere.

It's a cosmic liftoff with the mind warping sonic sounds of 'Planet Destroy'. Radioactive Man's funk-fuelled remix has an infectious 303 bassline that takes the listener on a jackin 'journey. On the flip side 'Exit Now' moves into driving hypnotic synths with sizzling percussion throughout.

'No Future' dips the dancefloor into a twisting wormhole of intergalactic grooves. The EP closes with the dark dystopian synths and extraterrestrial layers of 'It’s Only Lies Around Me'.

The Hampton All Stars played at the first concert of the festival "VS swingt" back
then. MPS boss Brunner- Schwer was there at the mixing desk. Some of these
recordings were released in 1978 as the MPS LP "Alive and Jumping" (MPS
15469).
"Hamp" and his All Stars were really into it and brought the audience in the Black
Forest, known as rather reserved, to a frenzy, especially after the break. The old
master worked his magic on the vibraphone, of course, but also played drums
and piano and sang with an irrepressible sense of rhythm as one who had
unmistakably internalized swing. The top trumpeter Cat Anderson was another
internationally known musician in the eight-piece all-star band with which "Hamp"
toured Europe at the time. And there was someone else who was one of HGBS's
personal favorites: pianist and organist Milt Buckner. Buckner's block chords had
not only influenced Oscar Peterson and George Shearing, but also inspired the
passionate piano freak Brunner- Schwer. The live recording with Hampton's All
Stars in Villingen was the last record of Buckner, who died a few weeks later in
the USA of acute heart failure.
The musicians can be heard in exuberant joy of playing, with "Hamp" standing out
sovereignly on vibraphone and drums, as well as Buckner with soulful organ
playing. Everything sounds unspent fresh and cheerful and shows Hampton and
his fellow players in top form. This rousing swing, which should appeal not only to
jazz fans, is available exclusively on LP.

Kharkiv born artists Komponente & Kurilo have been an integral part of the local scene in the past years both as DJs, Live-Act and Producers.

Now further apart since the beginning of the war they are still united in music and we are happy to finally share this EP with which was originally conceived when both artists were still Kharkiv based during the pandemic.

Kurilo has since made the journey to the New York via Berlin in recent months. While Komponente took refuge in Kyiv for some time after having sat out most of the fighting in and around Kharkiv while lending a helping hand to families and elders who couldn't manage or didn't have the means to leave the city when russia attacked.

At this point we are just happy and thankful to have both of them still with us and to be able to finally get this EP out which by now seems to have travelled from a past life to us in the here and now.

Pandemics or War this is Electronic Music charged with pure emotions produced during one crisis, released during the next and we will still dance to it during whatever comes next!

Schon früh, als sie aus Uncle Tupelo hervorgingen, gab es die Idee, dass Wilco eine Country-Band sei, oder zumindest eine alternative Country-Band. Und es gibt Beweise dafür - "in allem, was wir je gemacht haben, gab es Elemente von Country-Musik", sagt Jeff Tweedy.
"Wir haben uns nie besonders wohl dabei gefühlt, diese Definition zu akzeptieren, die Idee, dass ich Country-Musik mache. Aber jetzt, nachdem wir ein paar Mal um den Block gegangen sind, finden wir es aufregend, uns innerhalb der Form zu befreien und die einfache Einschränkung zu akzeptieren, die Musik, die wir machen, Country zu nennen."

Renowned Danish trumpeter Kasper Tranberg reforms his delicate chord-less trio with Nils Davidsen (bass & cello) and Frands Rifbjerg (drums) for the release of "Nobody"s Heart". Active on the jazz and improv scenes since the early 90s, Tranberg has been described as a player of great heart and purpose. Inspired by the iconic improvisers of our time, the album explores the connection between their instrument, their body and their soul. A collection of eight songs that Tranberg has deemed his favorites of the past few decades, the repertoire ranges from tin pan alley legends Rodgers and Hart, to visionaries like Ornette Coleman, to contemporary Danish singer/songwriter C.V. Jorgensen. On selecting the repertoire, Tranberg says "it was not about surface flash, technique or speed, but I followed my heart, my own footsteps and encounters in the previous 2 or 3 decades". Tranberg, Davidsen & Rifbjerg have been performin together since the early 1990"s, united by their passion for an exploratory and unpredictable playing style. With emphasis on stillness, melody, and texture, the record"s tone is melancholy, peaceful, and restorative. Tranberg"s intimate, warm trumpet sound soars above a bed of fluid bass and drum texture, slowly evolving from miniscule and sparse to dense and chaotic. Egoless, mature, and without flash, it is apparent the ensemble holds listening in high regard The trio seems to breathe as one, with each member aiming to make every note and sound mean something. Emil"s dark visions are full of noirish shadows and eerie neon glow - mood music for drug trips spent dreaming up new soundtracks to take drugs to! Emil Amos" forthcoming Zone Black album is a fully inhabitable world, its episodic narrative divided into an improbable balance between morbid ambient anthems and insouciant hip-hop instrumentals. Emil hadn"t heard it done quite this way before, so he took it upon himself. And it sounds real! Straight out of Madlib"s kitchen sink, and with a sense of brooding dread, "Jealous Gods" features throbbing beats, low synth paired with high vocal melody, layered together into something even more impossibly bizarre than the sum of their parts - like say, monks singing from on high, over a battleground littered with remnants of the old guard. Selected to score GODZILLA AGAINST MECHAGODZILLA was Michiru Ōshima (GODZILLA VS MEGAGUIRUS, STAR WARS: VISIONS), who brought an exciting and heroic musical aesthetic to the film. Employing the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Ōshima's music sounds as enormous and powerful as the kaiju themselves, with a new menacing theme for Godzilla that uses the lower registers to bring across the monsters immense force. In contrast, Ōshima's theme for Kiryu uses high brass for an almost superheroic feel, with both themes working beautifully in counterpoint to each other when the two titans have their rumble. 'The Outer Limits' is the seventh studio album released by Canadian heavy metal legends Voivod. It was issued via Mechanic/MCA Records in 1993. The album features a cover of "The Nile Song", originally by the British progressive rock band Pink Floyd, and Voivod's longest song "Jack Luminous", tracking in at 17 minutes and 26 seconds. When originally issued, the CD came with a miniature pair of 3D glasses in order to view the booklet art. The text in the upper right corner of the album cover reads "Number 8" to represent that it is actually the band's eighth album release overall following the compilation The Best of Voivod. 'The Outer Limits' was the final album to feature vocalist Denis Bélanger until his 2002 return. It was also Voivod's first album without original bassist Blacky, who had left the band before the release of the critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful 1991 album Angel Rat. Uncomfortable with the idea of bringing in an immediate replacement for Blacky, Voivod opted to have session musician Pierre St-Jean play bass guitar for the recording of the album. hues are clearer. These are unequivocally and absolutely the best songs Stephen
Duffy has ever written in his twenty or so long playing album career. The first
single release is "A Makeshift Raft". A song that asks if those seeking freedom
need drown, then ponders the inevitability of continuous wars. It praises the
America of Allen Ginsberg before a few bars of yodelling. It ends by eulogises
fingers, guitars and songs of love. Something for everyone then. The song is
accompanied by a video created by Martin Carr.They love being who they are and
they love this album and they hope you will find time to dance till all the stars
come down with them.

C&TH is heart-warming rock and roll originally from Boise, Idaho
Oneself, psych rock band, Clarke performing live with a drumstick in hand, guitar
strings under her thumb, vocals that cut right to the point with a Moe Tucker
rhythm laid underneath, with C&TH, she takes basement rock fuzz, pop precision,
molten neo-psych, weirdo gutter punk while singing exception art/psych damage
pop songs.
Since 2013 she has released five albums. Clarke and the Himselfs (Curly

SLW cc Watt is an inspired collaboration between prolific singer/
songwriter/illustrator Samuel Locke Ward and SoCal punk legend
bassist/singer Mike Watt - After the head-spinning fun of 2021's Let's
Build a Logjam and 2022's Real Manic Time, on the new Purple Pie Plow, the duo corral guests throughout the record: saxophonist Bob Bucko Jr, along with drummer Dean Clean, and guitarist Joe Jack Talcum from the sardonic punk band The Dead Milkmen.
