VENDETTA bleiben ihren Thrash- und Speed Metal Wurzeln treu und liefern ein Album ab, das dafür sorgen wird, dass eure Nackenmuskulatur ordentlich trainiert werden wird!
Schon von Beginn an ist der musikalische Stil von VENDETTA im Thrash und Speed Metal verörtet, was die ersten beiden Alben, die in den späten 1980ern veröffentlicht wurden, eindrucksvoll beweisen.
Vor einigen Jahren kam frischen Blut - in Form von Gitarrist Jan Hüttinger und Drummer Domi Bertelt - zur Band und man begann, am neuen Album zu arbeiten, welches während der Pandemie aufgenommen wurde.
VENDETTAs ehemaliger Sänger/Gitarrist Achim "Daxx" Hömerlein schrieb zusammen mit Bassist/Gitarrist Klaus Ullrich die Song und schrieb zusammen mit Sänger Mario Vogel die Texte.
Nun präsentiert die Band "Black As Coal", ihr bestes Album seit langem!

Auf "Superunknown Redux" spielt eine handverlesene Auswahl der lauteste, coolsten und vielseitigsten Bands der heutigen Rock- und Metal-Szene alle fünfzehn Tracks dieses bahnbrechenden SOUNDGARDEN-Albums in fesselnden eigenen Interpretationen neu ein. Wie bei den Redux-Alben üblich, erscheint auch parallel zu "Superunknown Redux" ein Begleitalbum unter dem Titel "Best of Soundgarden". Dieses enthält weitere 15 von diversen Interpreten neu aufgenommene Klassiker aus dem umfangreichen Repertoire der Grunge-Götter. Die Magnetic Eye Redux- Reihe lässt ausgewählte Künstler handverlesene klassische Alben aus der Geschichte des Rock und Metal komplett neu interpretieren und respektvoll in das neue Jahrtausend übertragen. Multi-platinum-selling pop-rock band, 5 Seconds of Summer, will release their live album The Feeling of Falling Upwards – Live from The Royal Albert Hall digitally on April 14. Physical formats of the album will be available on July 14.

The tracks are taken from the band’s 2022 one-of-a-kind performance “The Feeling of Falling Upwards” at the world-famous Royal Albert Hall in London, a venue the band busked outside of when they moved to the UK to write for their very first album 10 years ago. The performance included reimagined versions of songs from their 11-year catalog and brand-new songs from their critically acclaimed fifth studio album 5SOS5, accompanied by a 12-piece string orchestra and a 12-member gospel choir.

“’The Feeling of Falling Upwards’ is simply supposed to describe to you the feeling that we have experienced together, the feeling of taking a leap of faith on such a fickle thing like music,” expressed vocalist and drummer Ashton Irwin on stage at Royal Albert Hall, “And sharing this experience together year after year, season after season of our lives.”

Der vielfach Platin-ausgezeichnete Sänger, Songwriter und Künstler aus Houston, Texas hat sich von einer Underground-Instanz zum Superstar entwickelt - unbestreitbar, unzähmbar und mit einem unnachahmlichen Stil ausgestattet, der von Hip-Hop-Hochglanz, intergalaktischem R&B, progressivem Pop und einem guten Schuss Rockstar-Attitüde geprägt ist. Selbst in dieser Branche voller extrovertierter Sonderlinge gibt es niemanden, der klingt, aussieht und sich anfühlt wie Don.

Sein Vehikel für den nächsten Überschalltrip: das neue Album "LOVE SICK" . Auf seinem dritten Werk stellt Toliver visuelle Anleihen aus der Disco-Kultur, Mafia-Filmen und dem opulenten Design der 70er-Jahre in einen zeitgemäßen Kontext. Das Album erzählt die Geschichte von Don, der ein Speiselokal führt, das "Love Sick Diner", und nun plant, in die Nachtclubszene einzusteigen. Dabei gerät er jedoch mit dem Gesetz in Konflikt. "LOVE SICK" nimmt uns mit in eine Welt, die so facettenreich und einzigartig ist wie der Künstler Don Toliver selbst.

Mit ihrem Debüt "New Dubby Conquerors" aus dem Jahr 2001 eroberten SEEED nicht nur die Top 20 der deutschen Albumcharts, sondern lieferten auch gleich das Sommeralbum des Jahres. Mit den 13 Songs brachte das 11-köpfige Dancehall-Kollektiv ein wenig karibische Lässigkeit in deutsche Groß- und Kleinstädte. Über 20 Jahre später feiert die Band einige der zeitlosen Hits ihres Debüts mit einem besonderen Re-Release in Form von 12??-Singles auf farbigem Vinyl. Die Maxi-Singles erscheinen in limitierter Auflage in den Rastafari-Farben rot, gelb, grün.

Die Maxi-Single "Dickes B" enthält neben der niemals alt werdenden Berlin-Hymne mit "Walk Upright" und dem Reggae-lastigen "We Seeed" zwei weitere Songs des 2001er-Debüts. Die Songs "New Dubby Conquerors" und "Tide Is High" , Letzterer im Original von der jamaikanischen Rocksteady-Band The Paragons, sind in Mix-Versionen zu hören. Die Maxi-Single erscheint am 30.06. in einer limitierten Auflage von 1.500 Stück auf rotem Vinyl.

West Seattle Soul is an oozing collaboration of 13-15 Seattle hot shots crammed into a raw, close quarters performance that is blatant and obscure. It's an accidentally defying, thoroughly enjoyable, relapse of Seattle funk. The group has spent the last two years honing their chops at a residency at West Seattle’s Parliament Tavern.

When writing original music, this outfit goes by the name "The Pulsations" as presented on the B-Side of this Juicy slice of Seattle Side A: "Soul Makossa" West Seattle Soul put an afro-soul twist on Manu Dibango’s pioneering afro-disco hit “Soul Makossa.”
Their arrangement boasts bubbling clavinet, a tenacious horn section, and energetic vocal chants reminiscent of the original with a modern, underground dance music twist.

Side B: "Black River Crisis" Forming an Artist for all original music The Pulsations summon the deep pocket in “Black River Crisis.” Spurred from a group writing session, the drum and bass groove pave the way for interlocking guitar parts and a topsy-turvy horn line. The group found inspiration in the cataclysmic nature of the Black River that fed Lake Washington in the Seattle area.

The river was inadvertently drained when a canal was constructed from the Puget Sound to Lake Washington. The dried-up river caused a catastrophic loss of a resource that affected local farmers, the salmon population, and Native tribes who still lived alongside the river. It beckons the reality of the inevitable briefness in all facets of life and thusly, “you gotta dig it while it’s happening.”

The label is crated by Mathtiiaas Rosén (Mattias Lindgren) AKA Microman in 1995 in Stureby outside south of Stockholm Sweden.

After moving to UK in 98 more got in to it´s own "style" much because of London and that market, ...The label is just Microman´s backyard for experiments and try fix the holes in a dj set, the tunes needed in between the other. A techouse deep house funk house techno hybrid, now lately with the Ahab 13 taking the jump in to Brake Beat and Jungle looking back paying respect to 1998 old school.

Ahab 15 is here and Microman is on the case with a four track ep called: Freja - With a melodic yet stomping sound for both the bar before the gig.

Each track is an example of a fellow artist adopting Nick's art as if it was their own, submitting to the song, and the results prove to me that talent can so often win out over mere skill or 'personality'. Published in 1989 in the "Weekly Shônen Magazine", "Hajime no Ippo" by George Morikawa has become over the years a cult sports manga, and remains to this day one of the longest river series, still being published, counting more than 130 volumes.

This narrates the beginnings and the rise of a high school student, Ippo Makunouchi, in the world of professional boxing. In collaboration with Timmion Records, Daptone is proud to present My Echo, Shadow and Me, the debut album from the soulful Chicano brother, Johnny Benavidez. Hailing from San Diego (via El Paso, TX), Johnny's desire to sing was influenced by his grandfather, John Lorenzo Guzman, who as a teen in the early sixties spent some time harmonising with groups in El Paso, most notably Sonny Powell and the Night Dreamers. When he was 13, Johnny was given a record player and a box filled with R&B, Doo-Wop, and Soul 45s that he studied obsessively, employing the harmonies and melodies therein to cultivatehis own unique voice. After a chance encounter with the legendary Dimas Garza, Johnny's career began to blossom and soon he would find himself singing alongside stars like Eugene Pitt and Archie Bell, garnering the interest of Timmion Records..


Backed by the incomparable Cold Diamond & Mink (Bobby Oroza, Pratt & Moody) two incredibly successful singles were cut and plans for a full length were struck, culminating in 11 original songs penned by Benavidez. From the uplifting bounce of the title track, the doo-wop dinged "Dedicated to You", the Latin flare of "Uncle Sam," to the Sweet Soul masterpiece "Somebody Cares" (licensed and released on a Penrose Records 45), My Echo, Shadow and Me is not only an aweinspiring display of Jonny's versatility as an artist but also serves as a window into the eclectic array of soulful sounds that inspired him to fall in love with music and become a singer. Hard to believe, but the last solo instrumental album of the Italo-Viennese Fid Mella was released 7 years ago. During this time, the beat maestro has been anything but lazy, releasing numerous projects with artists such as Crack Ignaz, Torky Tork, Kamp, Silk Mob, as well as top-notch fellow musicians from Italy. Anyone who has ever taken a closer look at Fid Mella's instrumentals knows that his music always works independently of current trends or hypes. Since the beginning of his career, he has remained unwaveringly true to his own sound aesthetic and yet never lost touch with current productions. Fid Mella's new album "Cioccolato" is also bursting with creativity and musical relentlessness but is always catchy and packed with tons of flavor.
The new album was created in the close circle of the family - a converted farmhouse functioned as a creative workshop, where all samples used on "Cioccolato" were recorded during extensive jam sessions with Mella's wife, his brother and his father. The result is 17 gourmet instrumental pieces whose musical spectrum ranges from Brazilian bossa nova lightness to syrup-soaked Texas vibes.
