Smooth acid injected edgy house cuts on this new Klasse Wrecks! For the last 3 years SJ Tequilla (Naota Matsuda) and Aaty Matoba have been a regular but hidden fixture in Berlin's underground music scene. You may have caught them at their regular spot in a dark tunnel next to the sprawling Ostkreuz station in Kreuzberg, lucky to sneak a quick listen before the cops came in and shut things down yet again. Armed only with an electrical generator, a 606, 303 and various dub echo delay units the pair have slowly been refining their Teknobusker project into quite a special thing. Proving that creativity blooms best when using a limited set of tools, the SJ Teknobuskers music is gritty and dark but also retains an important sense of humour. WRECKS029 was recorded between the years 2018-2019 and does a deft job in capturing a flavour of the rhythms, tones and squelches that echoed down the tunnels during Berlin's endless summers.

For this first volume of Musax Background Music Library, Farfalla Records continues exploring the maze of the french library music through one of its most discreet and prolific representatives: Jacky Giordano and one of his many projects, the Musax label. Farfalla Records carefully selected this tracklisting among LPs recorded between 1978 and 1979 of which the originals became particularly sought after by the collectors. Pierric, Serge Planchon, Patrick Petitbon, Gérard Gesina, Jean-Charles Capon, Daniel Humair and also a band composed of members from the legendary Crazy Horse cabaret, namely Pedro Perea, Claude Brisset, Bruno Bompard, Jean-Claude Guselli, Claude Thirifays, Vincent Momplet and Joseph Gatineau. Napolitan Techno DJ and heavyweight producer Davide Carbone releases on the French Rave Or Die Records for the very first time! Multiplying records and collaborations just like Mike Tyson was multiplying uppercuts, the co-owner of Repitch Recordings, Cosmo Rhythmatic and 3TH Records and owner of Carbone Records starts with "Dive Or Die" on the A-side: a speedy yet straight to the dancefloor tune based upon trancey acid lines a la Steve Stoll or Leo Anibaldi and aerial melodies. Combined with dark effects, this nostalgic song Made in Italy appears as an authentic Rave anthem from back in the glorious days!

On the flip side, ROD mastermind and dancefloor veteran Umwelt (Voitax, Return To Disorder) delivers a shaking, hefty and tremendous cut. Named with suitability "Tremblements", the jam signs a fascinating ode to smoking warehouses and illegal parties. Metallic pads over no mercy beats fused into industrialized synths and screaming atmospheres characterize this this dark as hell cut interspersed with counter breaks a la The Mover.

Dark, groovy and noisy at the same, two massive absolute bangers with old school roots on ROD twelve release! By the way, if you wonder the significance of the signs on the Rave Or Die logo in the labels, they are taken from the Hobo Code and mean "Keep away, Cops Active, Unsafe Area". You'll be warned.

Bratha is the name of the Berlin based collaboration of Matt Nowak aka No Mad Ronin and The Analogue Cops aka Lucretio and Marieu. Their releases on their own label Bratha, on Voitax and on Restoration have quickly sold out without any mainstream promotion. "Topless Dancers" is their debut E.P. on Matt Nowak´s imprint Zaijenroots. As usual, this vinyl only release recorded at the Restoration Headquarters and mastered at Dubplates & Mastering, combines refined samples and quotes with extremely solid, pumpin´ beats and fat basslines. The grooves move smoothly from the metronomic dance attitude with a romanian touch -topless dancers- of the title track, to the wobbling "Estate", undergoing to the suspended, melancholic fluctuations of "Space Boogie" and the slow discoidish "No Mad Ronins death". Bratha is the studio project of The Analogue Cops and No Mad Ronin. Their first two EPs on their own label Bratha have disappeared from the shops in just a couple of week.
For their first release on Restoration they have been joined by the great Jerome Sydenham on the title track 'I can't stay', an afterparty anthem; smooth and intense, hypnotic and charming, an outstanding balance of hardware power and restrained expertise.
'The craziest come out', on the other side, has the trademark features of the Bratha trio: entrailing, dark and spellbinding and with an heavy pace on the dancefloor.

Vae Victis can't hide their love and passion for raw house and techno. On this 5th release there is another fine selection of hybrids between styles perfectly expressing their love for genre bending music. Durant exsists out of a small collective of producers with main roles for Steve Murphy, Die Roh and Lucretio, alongside Blawan. "The Dove Ultimatum", a 4 tracks ep of punchy analogue electronic music! On the a-side lay General Motors and At Ten, 2 broken beat electro techno tracks a la Drexciya showing the hardest and most experimental side of the project. While on the flip the trio bring things on a housier field, though staying loyal to the a-side vibe by delivering 2 dark and obsessive raw house tracks.

Highly recommended! "Unity" is the first single taken from Third Side's forthcoming album "Unified Fields", that will be released on Restoration Records in September 2012. Third Side is the project of The Analogue Cops and Panorama Bar resident Steffi; their collaborations, which have been released exclusively on Restoration, have been of the most interesting jams of the last years.
The original "Unity", a fat overshadowing deep techno track, written and produced only with machines and recorded on tape, comes with 3 massive analogue remixes.
