Nach 9 Studioalben und über 800 Shows, ist die finnische Disco-Metal-Maschine Turmion Kätilöt bereit für die nächste Stufe ihrer Weltherrschaft. Ihr 10. Studioalbum „Omen X“ in voller Länge wird am 13. Januar 2023 in 36 Ländern über Nuclear Blast veröffentlicht. Der Tourzyklus beginnt in Finnland unmittelbar nach der Veröffentlichung von Omen X.
Von Anfang an hatte Turmion Kätilöt den Ruf, eine großartige Live-Band zu sein. Disco-Beats der 90er, Metal bis zum Pedal, Melodien, Mitsingen, was auch immer – es gibt keine Regeln. Wenn Sie jedoch unter die Haut blicken, können Sie feststellen, dass die Dunkelheit mit dem Finger auf Sie zeigt. Gaz Coombes veröffentlicht die Neuauflage seines zweiten Soloalbums – ”Matador” - das 2015 erschien.
Ein Gefühl von Freiheit durchdringt jede Sekunde des Albums, das unter anderem die 2013er Single ”Buffalo” enthält. Von der astralen Pracht von ”The Girl Who Fell To Earth” bis zu den träumerischen Klängen

”World’s Strongest Man” ist die großartige Neuauflage des dritten Soloalbums von Gaz Coombes, das
auf das 2015 erschienene ”Matador” folgte. Inspiriert von Grayson Perrys ”The Descent of Man”, Frank
Oceans ”Blonde”, kalifornischem Gras, britischen Wäldern, unkontrollierter Männlichkeit, Neu! und HipHop (und vielem mehr), ist es eine wahrhaft bemerkenswerte Sammlung von elf zutiefst persönlichen Songs,
die alle von einer raumfüllenden, fesselnden Melodie begleitet werden. Vom tiefgründigen Titeltrack bis
zum mitreißenden ”Deep Pockets”, über die wunderschöne rhythmische Ballade ”Slow Motion Life”, ist
”World’s Strongest Man” ein kühnes, ehrgeiziges, frei denkendes, zukunftsweisendes Rock’n’Roll-Album.

This time Fred P, who certainly doesnt need any introduction and who’s labels Private Society and Perpetual Sounds are distributed by Mother Tongue, offers the rhythmic yet melodic and spiritually engaging ‘Inspired By Dopeness’.

Chicago’s own Specter and Madrid’s Josè Rico, who often work together as Our Own Organization, go extradeep, raw and hipnotic on the other side with the aptly titled ‘You Don’t Believe’.

WRWTFWW Records is absolutely honored to announce the release of Kenji Kawai’s complete soundtrack to Mamoru Oshii's 1993 superb political thriller science-fiction mecha anime PATLABOR 2: The Movie, available on vinyl for the first time ever and housed in a beautiful heavy gatefold sleeve with obi, as well as on digipack CD. Both versions come with liner notes by the great Masaaki Hara.
A true soundtrack maestro, Kenji Kawai is behind the legendary soundscapes of cult animes and movies such as Ghost in the Shell, Avalon, Ring, Ip Man, and Seven Swords among numerous others. PATLABOR 2: The Movie (Original Soundtrack) is one of his most experimental offerings, an outstanding palette of emotion-filled ambient atmospherics and percussion mastery breathing beautifully through Kawai’s minimalism meets modern classical approach. His symphony of moods paints a delicate picture of urban isolation, a central theme in the movie, but doesn’t hide hints of hope for a joyful future.
PATLABOR 2: The Movie (Original Soundtrack) is an ideal companion to Kenji Kawai’s Ghost in the Shell soundtrack, already available on WRWTFWW Records.
