With their upcoming album Waves, Moonchild enters a bold new chapter. BBE Music announces the first repress of the classic Roy Ayers albums ‘Virgin Ubiquity’ 1 and 2 since 2006, on luxurious 180g vinyl with brand new sleeve notes written by Sean P. The music on 'Virgin Ubiquity' was selected and mixed down from previously unreleased multi-tracks recorded between 1976 & 1981, which Roy had in storage. It's all unmistakably Ayers, but is diverse and fresh enough to be more than a mere adjunct to one of his most productive and popular periods - testament to his and his musicians' creative abilities, as much of most revered Ayers output stems from this time. These discoveries take their place beside some illustrious company in a timeline bookended by 'Everybody Loves The Sunshine' and 'Africa, Center Of The World', several solo and Ubiquity albums, collaborations with Wayne Henderson & Fela Kuti, as well as guesting on LPs by Buster Williams and Herbie Mann. The rare and deeply funky LP "Yoga – Be An Enlightened Soul – Stay Young And Pure With Yoga"
by Osunfisan Brothers & Sisters is set to return to vinyl in an official reissue, marking the first
authorized repress of one of Nigeria’s most elusive spiritual records.
Originally released in limited circulation, Yoga occupies a unique place in many collectors grail list.
According to Mr Femi Osunfisan, the album was conceived by his senior brother and bandleader, "We
chose yoga to as a concept to channel our music, but it was not intended to practise yoga with the
music". Neither pop record nor conventional boogie LP, the album is highly sought-after for the amazing
production by the Sound master Odion Iruoje and for the heavy afro-disco workouts.
At a time when Nigerian music was dominated by Afrobeat, highlife, and disco, Osunfisan Brothers &
Sisters charted a more introspective path—using rhythm, voice, and repetition as tools for enlightenment
and personal grounding.

First up is Alex Arnout with “Baby Let You Know” which is another solid production giving punchy and techy energy with a baseline that will wake you right up when it drops in ! It’s dark, edgy, and has a powerful signature sound that is perfect for the big dance floors as well as your underground intimate ones. Alex is no stranger to the imprint, having been the first artist signed to the label which is about to celebrate it’s 10th year as an independent record label.

Next up, we welcome back popular and talented producer Carlo Gambino with “Time Of Need” which takes you through 6 and a half minutes of a lovely gritty underground groove, and vocal snippets of the track title throughout the arrangement with his warm and unmistakable signature sound.

Then we have AMO (um) & Mills with the more minimal track of the VA, “Therapy” This is a stripped back track but instantly memorable after just one listen. Driven by a simple kick, snare, haunting fills and a riding dark baseline, the track also presents a conversation between two Women having a slightly confusing conversation in a therapy session.

Last up, it is a pleasure to introduce and welcome USA’s Jordan Bernardo & Sharktooth from the Tasteless Thieves crew to the label with their excellent collaboration on the track “So Sorry” This is the light on the VA with this massively uplifting infectious groove. The track is giving skippy swinging beats, filtered vocals which tease in and out of the arrangement, and a great energy that takes you back to the early 2000’s era.

From Universal Music's vast catalogue, the essence of Japanese AOR, all tracks are selected and played in Muro's mix cd 'Diggin' Japanese AOR' released in 2017 and now released on 2LP.

This includes some of hidden gems such as Maki Asakawa's 'American Night', Yoshio Harada and more from the late 80's to early 90's - the golden time of Japanese AOR.

SY3 (pronounced ‘sigh’) is a new project from LA-based Chinese-American artists Kelly Guan, Alex Ho, and Phil Cho. The trio started working on music together in 2023 after connecting over a shared love of Hong Kong New Wave cinema, Cantonese pop songs, r&b, and melody-driven dance music. Singer Kelly Guan aka Jia Pet has been independently releasing ‘bubbly’ pop music since 2022, and recently toured with the genre-bending indie artist Sasami. Multi-instrumentalists Ho (keyboards, saxophone) and Cho (guitar, bass) have collaborated frequently over the past decade, most notably on Ho’s 2021 debut album 'Move Through It' for Music From Memory.

Lead single ‘Tell Me,’ the track that initially caught the ears of MFM's Jamie Tiller and Tako, nods to the hazy downtempo explored by Chinese pop stars like Faye Wong and Zhou Xun in the ‘00s, while also recalling Japanese producer Yoshinori Sunahara’s iconic album 'Lovebeat'. Beyond musical influences, SY3’s neon-drenched pop songs draw from a cinematic language, particularly y2k-era films like Made in Hong Kong and Suzhou River, which speak to a generation of disillusioned youth in an increasingly fast-paced world. Guan’s lyrics depict characters caught in bittersweet love affairs (‘dial tone, when I’m alone, you promised we’ll be in touch') forever looking towards an escape from their current realities (‘I know the walls are high, these graceless hands are slipping’). Title track ‘梦游 Sleepwalker’ features a Cantonese spoken-word story about a sleepwalking young girl who sits alone on a balcony wondering where she might have gone the night before. The drifting ambient production loosely references a traditional Chinese folk melody, and closes out the EP with a delicate, layered saxophone solo from Ho.

Balancing intimacy with a wider emotional and visual language, SY3’s debut unfolds as a series of nocturnal pop vignettes shaped by memory, cinema, and place. Released digitally and on vinyl through Music From Memory on March 25th. Sleeve art and design by Michael Willis.

"Lost in the spinning sound" is the 12th studio album by The Dining Rooms (Stefano Ghittoni and Cesare Malfatti) who, over the years, have delved into an original style that balances cinematic atmospheres with funk, dub and ambient music. Here they have invited just one vocal guest, Chiara Castello from I'm Not a Blonde, for a collaboration that delivers a slow, nocturnal, orchestral, very minimalist album, oscillating between folk and blues, with deeply meaningful lyrics that explore the intricate nature of interpersonal relationships. The album cover, an illustration by Sara Vivan, conveys the idea of metamorphosis and invites us to dive into the sounds that surround and protect us. This is also the main message of the album: losing ourselves in order to protect ourselves a little. Drifting along and finding new, safer and more peaceful shores.

This unprecedented album encompasses tracks spanning every phase of Prince’s illustrious career, from 1977 to 2016. The project has been meticulously mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer and producer Chris James, a former Prince engineer whose notable credits include HITnRUN Phase Two, Art Official Age, and Plectrumelectrum. Timeless will be available on CD & black vinyl, providing profound insights into Prince’s creative process and musical evolution.

Graham Hunt kann einfach nicht aufhören, Alben aufzunehmen. Nun, bereits bei seinem sechsten Album ,American Pyramid", hat Hunt sich aus seiner Komfortzone herausgewagt, die bodenständigen, computerorientierten Experimente seiner früheren Arbeiten hinter sich gelassen und stattdessen Minnesotas legendäres Pachyderm Studio mit einer neunköpfigen Band, um zu versuchen, eine andere Seite seiner grenzenlosen Kreativität einzufangen. Das Ergebnis ist ein Album, das musikalisch und textlich neue Wege geht, wobei Hunt mit seinem surrealistischen Ansatz sowohl die Traditionen des amerikanischen Indie-Rock als auch die beunruhigende Distanziertheit der amerikanischen Erfahrung selbst seziert.
