Die fröhliche Nummer ist unüberhörbar von westafrikanischem Highlife und Afrobeat inspiriert und featuret den aus Ghana stammenden, aber heute in London ansässigen Sänger Ghetto Boy, der als “Prinz” der dortigen Afrobeat-Szene bezeichnet wird. Hörer/innen mit souligen Jazzfusion-Klängen und einem Solo des jungen Gitarristen Alex Blake in karibische Gefilde lockt. In der slicken Titelnummer “We Will Rise” setzt sich der Bostoner Saxofonist Braxton
Cook in Szene, der schon mit Rihanna und Solange Knowles auf der Bühne stand. Das letzte Wort auf der
EP hat in “Tempting (Dance 2)” schließlich der momentan omnipräsente Rapper Kojey Radical, der auch
auf dem neuen Album von Sons Of Kemet glänzt

DJ Neet & Gordon Brown Jr strikes back with their second release "Breaking Dub", a follow-up to their debut album "Research Program #1", heavily inspired by deep roots and reggae, released in 2017.

What makes this release special is the cover version of the classic Kyodai track "Breaking", released on Local Talk back in 2012. Wait a minute - A dub version of "Breaking" you say?.
Yes, you have to hear it to believe it !
While the original is built around heavy live drums, hands in the air piano chords and packs a lot of energy, this version slow things down and creates an hypnotic vibe.

Australian award winning producer Plutonic Lab returns with a sophisticated, genre defying Double A Side Single ‘Blind Eyes’ and ‘Give It Up.’

Pluto brings together a strong list of talented artists: The soulful, smoky voice of Natalie Slade, New Zealand based Rwandan rapper Raiza Biza, and multi instrumentalist 8H.

The two tracks mark an intoxicating return for the producer, showcasing how he is able to bring together artists’ of diverse backgrounds and styles to display skills, restraint and synergy in a moment in time.

Plutonic Lab says, “I feel the sound of these two pieces have a great balance between electronic textures, acoustic instrumentation, jazz, tough beats and clout.”

The two songs are an example of Plutonic Lab’s collaborative, versatile nature and his ability to cross genres without limitations.

Plutonic Lab has provided the backdrop for countless artists over a mammoth career spanning over two decades, collaborating with artists locally and internationally including Black Milk, Drapht, Hilltop Hoods, G-Love (US), Lanks, Guilty Simpson (US) and Wiley (UK).

Plutonic Lab’s 2016 LP “Deep Above The Noise” attained feature album status on Double J and Won “Best Hip-Hop Album’ at the AGE Music Victoria Awards 2016. Notably he produced Dialectrix’s 2013 album, “The Cold Light of Day” which was shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize, won the 2009 UK Mercury Prize for his work with Speech Debelle, and was nominated for ‘Best Urban Release’ at the 2008 ARIA Awards as half of the hip-hop duo Muph & Plutonic, who also placed 2 songs in the Triple J’s “Hottest 100.”

Pluto has toured across extensively across Australia, internationally and as tour drummer for Hilltop Hoods in the U.S, Canada, UK & Europe.

Digital Introversion is the first studio album of Aboukir, the new project of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ralph Maruani, also known as Flabaire for his electronic music pieces.

Throughout the 8 tracks of the LP, psychedelic guitars and dreamy vocals lie down on bluesy bass lines and subtle rhodes keys, putting great emphasis on instrumental sequences in every song.


Inspired by the sound of the 60s and 70s rock, the album conjures references to bands like Crosby, Stills & Nash, prog-rock pioneers Pink Floyd and more modern musicians such as Khruanghbin or Air. Recorded in 2018 and 2019 in his home studio, every instrument is played and arranged by Maruani himself except for the drums, performed by friends and family on several tracks. No samples here, just pure talent from an experienced producer and a lifelong vinyl collector.

Time to observe the light from the shadow, the "whirlwind of life", its excesses, its drifts and its symbolic violence. Time to think and translate into music as a privileged witness of our society.

While on lockdown, Senbeï exchanged a lot with his fans on social networks, offering them a collaborative project. From these discussions a dedicated Facebook group has been created on which his fans proposed ideas, arrangements and instrumental interpretations.

So many possible inspirations that allowed Senbeï to then play the conductor, composing new titles based on these exchanges.

The fans were also invited to propose titles for the album and graphic proposals ... TOITSU - unification in Japanese - as well as the work of Adrien Waterlot (a fan) were chosen by the members, to represent this work common.

SENBEÏ talks about it:

This project was launched during the 2020 lockdown. Like a lot of people, I found myself stuck at home, no more work, no more touring. I wanted to take the opportunity to launch a collaborative project by appealing to my fans via social networks. At first, I just imagined doing a song, picking from their ideas, a sample here, a guitar take there. I didn't think it would take on this magnitude. We quickly reached more than 500 people on a dedicated discussion group. And then it all got wrapped up. 4 months later, Toitsu was complete.

It wasn't just music, but also incredible general goodwill, good mood, lots of support, sharing, dedication and humor. All of that helped me orchestrate this happy mess in record time.

"Toitsu" means "Unification". Without those who participated, this album would not exist.

Slak debut on his own imprint with 3 balanced breaks/electro deep cuts entitled ‘Desireʼ including a remix from Datafive.
‘Desireʼ is built on fuzzy breakbeats, dubby pads and vibrant sound effects whilst ‘Intreccioʼ is more rhythmical with itʼs lively 909 hi hats, acid synths-and solid low end. Atmospherical but punchy, ‘Textureʼ with vocal echoes combining it with ethereal pads and clean breaks. Furthermore we have an elegant dʼnʼb remix of the track ‘Desireʼ from the co-owner Datafive, delivering the usual accurate mix of sound design, drums and dub-tech influences.

Datafive is hailing from the underground with his ep titled ‘The Journey’.
The Italian producer’s debut output delivers a post-genre ep, ranging from introspective mid-tempo landscapes to epic dub-tech drum’n’reese and post dubstep club oriented hypnotic grooves.
He’s combining dubby digital synths and accurate sound design with solid uk scenario beats, time-stretched whatever, wobbling squelchy bass and much much more, all wrapped in an absolutely mind-blowing sleeve design from Geso.

Ranked at #152 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, The B-52's has its roots in the band's improbable genesis, itself reflective of the record's gleeful moods and quirky charms. The five members first played after sharing a tropical alcoholic beverage at a Chinese restaurant, the ironic silliness and spontaneous irreverence indicative of the music on its breakthrough record. Musically, the band proves just as adventurous and whimsical. You probably never heard of him, but he is doing this thing since half an eternity. Rather than playing a lot of shows he focuses on studying the craft of electronic sound manipulation and what else can be said that: he is on top of his game! He shows us that it is still possible to create sonic structures that are beyond the usual by just using classic devices such as the TR 808 rhythm composer and a TB 303 monophonic synthesizer.
