Big Crown freut sich, das zweite Album von Thee Marloes, ,Di Hotel Malibu", zu präsentieren. Es erweitert den Rahmen - ein selbstbewusster Schritt weg von den Grenzen, die ihren Sound einst klar definierten, hin zu etwas Durchlässigerem, Gesprächigerem und zutiefst Indonesischem. Zwei Jahre sind vergangen, seit ,Perak", das Debütalbum des Trios aus Surabaya bei Big Crown Records, ihren einzigartigen Sound vorstellte. Dieses neue Album bricht nicht mit dieser Tradition, sondern erweitert sie und zeigt, wie sehr sie als Band seit der Veröffentlichung ihres Debüts und all den damit verbundenen Erfahrungen gewachsen sind. Auf diesem Album erweitert sich diese gemeinsame Sprache. Die Arrangements bewegen sich über ein breiteres Spektrum, mit neuen instrumentalen Farben, unerwarteten rhythmischen Wendungen und einem lockereren Ansatz in Bezug auf die Struktur. Die Band beschreibt es als eine Reaktion auf die letzten zwei Jahre ihres Lebens: soziale Realitäten, Liebesleben in Der Album-Opener ,Under the Silver Moon" ist ein kühler Two-Stepper, der die bitteren und süßen Seiten von Fernbeziehungen vor einem luftigen musikalischen Hintergrund thematisiert. ,Six Years" ist eine Seite aus dem Leben der Sängerin Natassya Sianturi und ihrem Kampf, den Schritt zu wagen, einen bequemen und sicheren Tagesjob aufzugeben, um ihrem Traum von einem erfüllten Leben zu folgen.

It happens very rarely that you can praise a records without any reservations, this is the case here!!!



A lot of ink has flowed across the page since the Vogue/Swing release (1955) of that founding solo record. The repertoire was made up of pieces that Thelonious was playing in New York over that period, but in trio or with a quartet, here his music shows nakedness, i should say crudeness, whisch is completely overwhelming. It is a balck and white photograph of what is happening inside Monk's head; its sharpness is enthralling, as everyone has known for more than sixty years.



We enter the world of one of the most original artists. Monk, at 37, is at the peak of his art.

Gatzara Records present a soul version of “We Need Love” by Johnny Osbourne, produced by The Blaxound and sung by Roberto Sanchez. On the B side, there is a hip hop version built from samples of the A side, featuring Rel McCoy, an MC from the United States.

A carefully crafted and long-awaited work, Mirage Café is more than an album — it is a fully immersive sensory experience. The Japanese duo expand their signature sound into deeper and more cinematic territory, blending refined electronica, ambient textures, subtle jazz inflections and understated groove with remarkable elegance and control.

The title evokes an imaginary café — a space of contemplation, connection and inspiration. The partnership with Standart Magazine reinforces this conceptual layer, bridging music and coffee culture into a cohesive narrative that feels both intimate and international. Neon pink vinyl. Their first new music since 2019, 'Killing The Buzz' sees The Black Wizards entering a new era, with their first release via Hassle Records. Signalling a bold step forward in sound, they shift towards a raw, garage-driven sound, built around direct arrangements, live energy and a strong sense of urgency. The Porto-based trio lay down a striking first impression on the single: Joana Brito's wiry, spitfire vocals volley off José Gomes' gravelly replies, over a chugging, serpentine groove propelled by Helena Peixoto's restless percussion. "Do you print yourself out pretty to look better in banners?" Brito questions archly, referencing the political signage that dots the streets of their home country, Portugal. Speaking on the track, Brito comments: "Killing the Buzz came out pretty funny & sarcastic, while talking about a real subject. The song is about being fed up with people in power positions, be it economical, political or social."

The Charmer, Toadies first full-length studio album in nearly a decade, also happens to be one of the last records recorded by famed engineer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey) before his death in 2024. The raw, guitar-driven collection places the platinum-selling band firmly back in the Alternative Rock pantheon that sparked their early success, while sounding right at home with the dozens of younger contemporary rock bands they've influenced.

Following some exciting releases from Humble B Flat in 2025, ‘Indigo Blues’ is the premier release on his new imprint Zinnia Records launching this May. Indigo Blues - an 8 track double disk journey through various depths of deep, cosy, warm and blue. Launching the release at the BBE store on the 19th May. Contours brings together New York–based producers and DJs Abby Echiverri and Clay Wilson for a four-track 12” on Acid Camp. The record moves across acid house and techno, unified by a clear
craft for pressure, pacing, and machine-driven tracks, with moments of restraint that hold up far beyond the dancefloor.

Wilson opens the A-side with “Interdimensional Romance,” a science fiction workout that threads together acid echoes of Chicago, Detroit, and New York. “Nightride” follows with a more laid-back approach, rooted in acid yet softer around the edges, with a subtle ’90s pull. On the B-side, Echiverri’s panned synths on “Chaos Terrain” vividly wax and wane across layers of LFOs. “Roche Lobe” closes the record in a more spacious mood—another acid-minded piece, less aimed at peak-time utility than at the late-night afterglow of the club.

Together, the four tracks understand acid not as a fixed formula, but as a flexible language. These are the songs of the underground clubs on Arrakis. See you at the front of the speakers.

Just before dropping the 3rd chapter in his "Threesome" series, Hus Kingpin surprises us with a brand new EP on which he gets out of his comfort zone, rapping on some chill hop beats provided by Wun Two and Made In M, once again proving the versatile and creative MC he's always been! Hand-Numbered pressing limited to 350 copies.

The last gig played by The Who before the Quadrophenia tour was this seven track greatest hits set, broad-cast on Dutch television in March 1973. Featuring material from Tommy and Who's Next, the encore was a lengthy but engrossing version of Magic Bus. Comes with full recording details and extensive sleeve notes.

A fascinating record of Hawkwind’s activities in 1970 with all tracks recorded for BBC radio. Side One is the band’s first Top Gear session transmitted in September and Side Two is the Sunday Concert recorded just after their legendary appearance at the Isle Of Wight festival. Some Of That Stuff and I Do It would later be renamed Come Home and Master Of The Universe respectively. Comes with full recording details and extensive sleeve notes.

The title comes from a previously unreleased version of All The Young Dudes (track one, side one) specially recorded for the BBC. Elsewhere we have two further studio tracks aired by Sounds Of The Seventies, live versions of Midnight Lady and Thunderbuck Ram recorded for FM radio and a ferocious set of four live tracks originally broadcast on French TV in 1971.
