In The Dark Again continues to stand for timeless electronic music at its finest. Release No. 14 is yet another testament to that.
The journey begins with the stunning anthem «Tomb of Ligeia» by Scottish artist Sebastian Swarm.
Next up is synth master Heinrich Dressel, delivering the beautifully melancholic and effortlessly cool «Elka Snow Cat.»
Electro hero Konerytmi rounds off Side A with a deep and bleepy cut.
The flip side opens with the massive, brooding «Ruined Horizons» by Be Dellow, a project by Violet Poison, whom the label fans will also know as Bakunin Commando.
Another familiar face brings the record to a close: Igors Vorobjovs, whose unmistakable sci-fi electro never fails to captivate.

He's back once again is Monsieur Van Pratt with more of his so-wrong-they're-right disco edits. This fight volume has two edits reshaping source material with the usual deft touch. His opener 'Linda' runs on clipped drums, tight bass loops and bright string stabs then 'Oye Un Momento' keeps its original vocal but reinforces the groove with heavier kicks and 'El Ritmo Que Te Atrap' has a kitsch Europe feel. On the flip, Disco 86 shifts towards something classier with 'Crees Que Soy Sexy' riding lush chords and plenty of glistening melodies drawn from the Rod Stewart original and 'Tu Amor' is packed with electric vocals and retro future keys for a full send finish.

With MYSTERIUM COSMOGRAPHICUM, the ALIEN CODE series opens a new transmission within the Cosmic Tribe universe — a speculative exploration of ancient futurism, extraterrestrial civilizations, sci-fi architectures and hidden technologies through electro-oriented sound research.
Across six tracks, the compilation moves through atmospheric electro, cosmic electronics, galactic basslines and contemporary machine-driven structures, combining cinematic tension with underground functionality.
MYSTERIUM COSMOGRAPHICUM unfolds as an episodic interstellar narrative — where each track operates like a different scene, transmission or passage within the wider ALIEN CODE universe.
For this transmission, Cosmic Tribe brings together an international selection of artists exploring contemporary electro and futurist electronic sound, featuring Raakel Bloody Raakel, Lups Digga, Aztronouth & Machinefunk, EC13, Lloyd Stellar and NOAMM.
Visually and conceptually, ALIEN CODE continues Cosmic Tribe’s investigation into lost and unknown civilizations, symbolic technologies and non-human futurist aesthetics — where ancient structures and ultra-advanced systems coexist beyond historical time.

This LP, the second set from Soul4Real based on songs mostly associated with Jackson, MS label Malaco, is another stunning showcase of the breadth of soul music. Featuring tracks ranging from the 70s through to the new millennium and from the deepest of blues-tinged ballads to disco beats, there is something on this LP for all soul enthusiasts to relish. The biggest name here is undoubtedly Bobby “Blue” Bland. A towering presence in both soul and blues for over 50 years, his influence – and sales – were immense. Other hitmakers are here as well, such as the prodigious vocal talent of Shirley Brown, whose massive “Woman To Woman” kick-started her long and successful career, and the delightful Dorothy Moore, whose immortal “Misty Blue” saved Malaco from bankruptcy in the mid-70s. Moore’s lovely duet with star Eddie Floyd was a one-off, as was Natural High’s Malaco subsidiary Chimneyville album. Always welcome on sets like this are lesser-known artists like sometime funk band Solid Gold Revue member Ray Crumley, who released a small handful of solo 45s,New Orleans singer Richard Caiton, who has had Northern soul plays, and mystery Mississippi native J.J. Lewis. Cult southern soul heroes such as the outstanding Tommy Tate – memorably described by Malaco boss Tommy Couch as “America’s best kept secret” – and the gifted and prolific down home songwriter George Jackson, whose BMI catalogue runs to over 400 songs, are prominent here. Jackson’s effort is previously unissued, and the more obscure item from Marvin Morrow is a first time on vinyl. Like Jackson, Morrow earnt his living as a writer for such luminaries as Gladys Knight and Chaka Khan. A treat for all connoisseurs. Malaco gave themselves the byline of “The Last Soul Record Company”, and listening to their output of over 50 years and the way they outlasted every other southern independent label, it’s impossible to disagree.

They say 3 is the magic number so here we are with Part 3 of our 'Back To The Old School' 12" series. Four cuts of the finest Disco-Rap remixes by Dave 'Love' Lee, we start things right off with some uptempo disco in the shape of Eddie Cheeba's " Lookin' Good" with it's clav stabbing & synth jabbing funk, ready to rock any dance floor with it's brilliant part-rapped, part-sung vocal play. Two versions are included of the B-Boys early 80's breakers anthem 'Rock The House'. First up is the breakbeat underpinned 'Magic Funk' mix that utilises one of the funkiest basslines of all time. On the flip the 'Roller Rink' mix is a mid tempo floor filler reprising a much loved 90s r&b jam to great effect. Finishing affairs is the 'Maximus Boogie Mix' of Maximus Three, leaning heavily into the classic disco-rap sound of fat Good Times bass, squelching synths under the bragging raps of TJ Swann and Pee Wee Mel.

BerettaMusic's compilation series is mouthwatering just from reading the names of the artists involved. First up is Detroit mainstay Dez Andres, who opens with 'Ready Disco,' a warm and typically hip-hop-inflected tone that Curiel's 'Keep You That Way' and Evan Rhodes' 'We Go Low' both build on comfortably, with the latter a particularly contagious minimal house shuffler with a bassline that really pops. DJ Cent's 'Malfunction' gets more heavy and threatening with steely drums marching into darkness, before Ryan Sadorus closes with 'Cultivate,' a storming disco-house workout. It's less a scattered various-artists grab bag and more a real document of Detroit's current house scene. Unsurprisingly, then, it is superb.
With 'The Electro Guilde III EP' Zodiak Commune Records once again presents a selection of well-known and label-recurring electro-acid producers who take you on their various adventurous musical journeys.
'Collateral Funk' is a one shot live recording funky acid Electro track by Acidulant and inspired by the likes of Dynamix II
'We Will Survive' by Dima Gastroler is a fantasy about robots fighting for their rights in the future world of global robotisation. Dynamic electro and psychedelic pads make it sound like that battle. We will survive!
Step into the world of pozek with 'EPT', a 128 BPM electro-acid tune that takes inspiration from 80s toys like Speak & Spell and classic old-school electro. The track weaves quirky, retro acid lines with driving electro beats, creating a perfect fusion of nostalgia and futuristic energy.
When johnfaustus start an electro track for Zodiak commune Records, he always have in mind the journey of a spaceship to the edge of a dark galaxy. No exception with 'Oberon', syncopated rhythms, abrasive basslines and a dark spacy theme

Futurismo proudly present a vital compilation born in the shadows of American punk; AMERICAN GRAVE Gothic Punk / Deathrock USA: 1978-1988, the third volume in their Altered Vision anthology series.
Drawing from darkest depths of the American spirit, American Grave is testament to a subculture spawned from late night savagery, graveyard hangouts and suburban isolation. Deathrock, post-punk, goth, whatever term you prefer, this compilation showcases the sounds and aesthetics of a tarnished golden era, an underground movement that took the DIY concepts of punk and the velocity of a burgeoning hardcore scene and immersed it in echoes, distortion, tribal rhythms and macabre vocals, thematically preying upon cult horror flicks, surrealism, and the manipulation of religious iconography. Whilst the UK had a counterpart scene many would hail as Goth, this was different, this was a truly American incarnation, a new breed of youth haunted by the ghosts of old blues, garage and glam, bleak theatrical imagery dressed up to evoke a response, smeared eyeliner, leather, bones…black. This was a backlash against a culture in decay, bucking against a puritanical oppression brought on by the archaic social standards set by their parents. It was aggression manifested as gloom, it was a ceremony, the celebration of death.
American Grave has been co-curated by Wesley Eisold (Cold Cave/American Nightmare/Heartworm Press) in collaboration with Futurismo head honcho Del Jae, to bring you a haunting tracklist ranging from the all important integral mainstays of the genre to those rarer and more elusive artists, including many recordings that have never been reissued before on any format. Featuring the music of Christian Death, T.S.O.L., The Cramps, Of A Mesh, The Gun Club, Twisted Roots, Kommunity FK, The Brainz, Theatre Of Ice, Burning Image, Fur Bible, PSI Com, Shadow Of Fear, Super Heroines, 45 Grave and more.
The music on this compilation is reinstated further from a visual perspective by an array of incredible images by famed punk photographer Edward Colver, and lovingly designed to the level you would expect from a Futurismo release.
2xLP on limited edition ‘Splintered Tomb’ coloured vinyl. It is housed in a gloss laminated outer sleeve with colour inner sleeves and contains a large fold-out poster with unseen photos by the great Edward Colver, words by Lisa Fancher and liner notes by Wesley Eisold of Cold Cave/American Nightmare.
The third chapter of The Third Room's curator-led series is shaped by Verraco, one of the key voices behind a new generation of artists reshaping contemporary club music. Through his productions, DJ sets and his work with TraTraTrax, he has helped define a sound where hybrid forms, rhythmic experimentation and cross-cultural influences are pushing the genre into new territory. Structured across two distinct sides, the release draws a clear connection between past and present. The A-side leans into a deeper, more classic space, while the B-side moves towards a more forward-facing, hybrid sound. It opens with Libration (Stone Version) by Substance & Vainqueur, a revisiting of their landmark 2007 release, a track that helped define the language of Dub Techno as it is understood today. Reduced, deep and spatially precise, it established a blueprint for how rhythm, delay and tone could function together. It's presence here acts less as a nod to the past and more as a reminder of a foundation that continues to shape the genre. Skee Mask's Clear Sky 909 continues this thread, softening the edges without losing depth. Warm, enveloping textures and fluid movement give the track a sense of openness, balancing clarity with emotional weight. The B-side shifts perspective. On Untitled (Teamgeist Mix), Verraco, joined by Tils, delivers the record's defining moment - a dense, intricately designed piece built on a driving low-end and evolving rhythmic patterns. Elements from Techno, Bass and Leftfield House converge into a detailed, forward-moving structure that actively bridges cultural contexts. It results in a form of dance music shaped by technical precision, but drive.n by a clear sense of intent, marking a distinct expression of Verraco's current sound. Untitled by 1morning introduces a rolling, tribal-infused groove with a strong sense of depth, while PatumPa by Regal86 closes the record with a bright, loop-driven energy that leans into pure motion. Across both sides, the release moves between reference and progression. Rather than separating old and new, Verraco connects them - tracing a line from foundational Dub Techno to a more fluid, contemporary club language. Each Mod Revival has a key album that brings an underground scene into the public domain. 'Scene 26' is the next logical step in showcasing the raw energy that Mod brings to music - established Heavy Soul Records acts SHARP CLASS, THE HORNETS and CIAN DOWNING rub shoulders with many first time on vinyl bands including THE XLNTS with a new anthem, and THE KOPPERS, SCARLETT FEVER and SOUTH STREET keeping the Mod Revival sound going. VELVET TUXEDO bring a 60s edge to proceedings before MODERN SYNDICATE and THE LAST ORDERS show how diverse the Mod sound is. Volume Two coming soon too....
'On The Scene '66 Part One' highlights four of these acts with roots in the previous years and how the music changed: The wild freakbeat sound of THE FREAKS OF NATURE, the heavy R&B 45 from THE ATTRACTION, the pop- pysch from KATCH 22 mixed with the unique sound of JOHN'S CHIDREN pulled together to give a taster of future releases coming with this series.....
Rhythm & Blues, Club Soul, Hammond Grooves and Pyschedelic Mod - 1966 was a very mixed bag of musical styles! The US influences continued to seep into how records were being made but signs of the burgeoning later UK sound is evident too as 'Scene 66' takes you on a musical journey through a real turning point in how bands wanted to be heard
DINTE presents a collection of southern gospel sides from late 1940s to mid 1950s capturing the post-WWII departure from rural folk & shape-note singing traditions that had previously defined the music, to quartets and vocal harmony groups embracing of driving, uptempo boogie-woogie rhythms and spirituals borrowed from the black church. Meticulously transferred and restored from the original 78 RPM and transcription discs by collector James Zurek
