IRON REAGAN's Relapse debut The Tyranny Of Will is a 24 song wrecking ball of hardcore-punk/thrash fury. Fronted by the venomously lyical Tony Foresta (Municipal Waste), on paper IRON REAGAN is a Richmond, VA supergroup (the band also features Phil Hall of Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse, etc as well as Ryan Parrish of Darkest Hour together with members of Mammoth Grinder). In practice IRON REAGAN are WAY more than just a supergroup project---they have toured the world several times over levelling audiences with their furious live show. This is a fully formed raging band that have delivered one of the heaviest hardcore records of the year that is guaranteed to be on the top of both metalheads' and punk rockers' year end lists.

Stone Music returns with Into the Cosmic Forest, a deep and patient journey into open-air improvisation. The group was founded in 2022 by Tokio Hasegawa, a core member of the legendary Taj Mahal Travellers, and brings together a wide circle of musicians from Japan’s ambient and experimental scenes.

While the name is new, the spirit continues. Stone Music extends the free-form, site-responsive approach that defined Taj Mahal Travellers — music shaped by environment, duration, and collective awareness rather than fixed structure.

Into the Cosmic Forest consists of two long-form pieces, each exceeding 20 minutes, both recorded live outdoors. Side A was captured at Japan’s Off-Tone Festival. It unfolds slowly and organically — layers of voice, strings, electronics, wind instruments, and percussive textures gradually forming a shifting sonic landscape.

Side B was recorded on the grounds of Mithila Museum in the mountains of Niigata, an art space managed by Hasegawa himself. More intimate in atmosphere yet equally immersive, the piece centers on voice and subtle interplay, allowing space and silence to become part of the composition.

What you hear is direct and unpolished: air moving, sound resonating, musicians responding to each other and to their surroundings in real time.

Following tours in India during 2023–24, with performances in national museums and universities, Stone Music continues to explore music as shared space rather than spectacle.

Into the Cosmic Forest invites listeners into that space — unedited, unhurried, and fully alive.

& 7“ aus „The Great Learning“ des englischen Komponisten Cornelius Cardew mit dem Scratch Orchestra
nach wie vor zu den beliebtesten und komplexesten.
Nach Abschluss seines Studiums an der Royal Academy of Music in London zog Cardew 1958 nach Köln
und arbeitete dort als Assistent von Karlheinz Stockhausen im Studio für elektronische Musik des Westdeutschen Rundfunks (WDR).
John Tilbury sagte, dass es Cardews Ziel sowohl mit dem Scratch Orchestra als auch mit „The Great
Learning“ war, „die grundlegendsten Prinzipien der westlichen Kunst und insbesondere das des Künstlers
als Aristokraten zu überwinden. Das Scratch Orchestra war ein Ausdruck der Universalität der Kunst;
Kunst als Lebensweise.“
Diese 1971 aufgenommene Veröffentlichung von „The Great Learning“ ist nach wie vor die wichtigste
Quelle für eine klangliche Erfahrung mit dem Scratch Orchestra und der bedeutendste Beitrag zu seinem
bleibenden Vermächtnis.

Candlemass was formed by bassist & songwriter Leif Edling in Stockholm, Sweden in 1984. Well known for their epic doom metal & continuing their legacy as genre leaders to this day, Candlemass has influenced a generation of the genre’s subsequent greats from My Dying Bride to Paradise Lost - Candlemass themselves taking a large influence from Black Sabbath.

‘Dactylis Glomerata’ was a come-back album of sorts, originally released in 1998, after the band had temporarily been laid to rest after the ‘Chapter VI’ album.

‘Dactylis…’ was an album of more stripped down dirty doom rock, with solid songwriting on display, evoking what some described as a strong stoner vibe, along with some hard rock elements. This was in contrast to the more epic heavy metal inspired compositions from previous albums, which the band were more known for. Having stood the test of time incredibly well, ’Dactylis Glomerata’ is a gem in the band’s rich history spanning four decades.

The album notably also features guitars by Michael Amott of Arch Enemy (ex-Carcass), & also a guest appearance by Ian Haugland from Europe.

It distills the spirit of the ’80s and early ’90s into a sequence of tracks that unfold like a collection of undeniable hits—direct, timeless, and uncompromising.

The record reaches its final form with remixes by Ancient Methods, a leading force in industrial techno, and Patrick Codenys of Front 242—one of the few acts whose legacy stands alongside Dirk’s own.

For the label, presenting this final work is both a privilege and a responsibility: a closing statement from one of the true architects of the sound itself, and the definitive work of Neon Electronics as a project.

Taylor Hollingsworth aus Birmingham, Alabama, hat sich schon immer einer einfachen Einstufung widersetzt. Als er gebeten wurde, seine Musik zu beschreiben, tat er sich schwer - ein bisschen Folk, ein Hauch von Blues, eine Prise Rock 'n' Roll, aber nicht wirklich in eine einzige Schublade zu stecken. Schließlich prägte er den Begriff ,Folk n' Roll", um seinen Sound zu beschreiben. Jetzt bekennt er sich stolz zu diesem Sound mit seinem neuesten Album, das treffend den Titel ,Folk n' Roll" trägt. Fans von JJ Cale, Mississippi John Hurt, Chuck Berry, Richard Thompson, Jonathan Richman und John Prine werden große Freude an Hollingsworths Mischung aus zeitlosen Einflüssen haben. In den frühen 2000er Jahren tourte Hollingsworth ausgiebig mit seiner punkigen Rockband (stell dir eine Mischung aus Ramones, Chuck Berry und ZZ Top vor) und arbeitete als Session-Musiker, der auf Tour mit verschiedenen Künstlern Gitarre spielte (vor allem mit Conor Oberst und der Mystic Valley Band). Doch nach der Geburt seiner Tochter legte er eine Tourpause ein, um sich ganz seiner Familie zu widmen und sein Handwerk als Vollzeit-Musiker vor Ort in Birmingham, Alabama, zu verfeinern. In dieser Zeit perfektionierte er seine fesselnde Ein-Mann-Show, die er nun ,Folk n' Roll" nennt. Seine Auftritte sind ein unvergessliches Erlebnis - fingergepickte E-Gitarre, ein mit Mikrofonen ausgestattetes Fußstampfer-Pedal, das den rhythmischen Rückgrat bildet, und gelegentlich ein Looper-Pedal, um Gitarrensoli einzuflechten, während er seine charakteristischen erzählerischen Texte vorträgt - Texte, die von zahlreichen Künstlern gecovert wurden, vor allem von Conor Oberst und Phoebe Bridgers bei Better Oblivion Community Center. ,Folk `N Roll" ist sein zweites Album für das beliebte Indie-Label Dial Back Sound, nach dem von Kritikern gefeierten und geliebten ,Yahola" aus dem Jahr 2025.

London's Spearmint follow-up their acclaimed 2023 record `This Candle Is For You' with the ambitious new concept album `Chase Me' New single "1986" evokes a time when the world wasn't connected by technology, but there was still a strong connection across the globe: music. Specifically in the song, it's folk in Newcastle and Madrid who are dancing to the same music. The vinyl version also features an exclusive track "Is It Just Nostalgia?" which sees the band time-travelling past `The Tube' and `Soul Train` to Friday nights of the past. Standby for the follow-up single in July_ Spearmint have been making great records since debut `A Week Away' in 1999 (`Sweeping The Nation', `A Trip Into Space', `We're Going Out'). Still the same line-up: Shirley Lee (singing, guitar), Simon Calnan (singing, keyboards), James Parsons (guitar) and Ronan Larvor (drums). This will be their eleventh album proper and the 65th release on their own hitBACK label. Re-united with producer Rhodri Marsden (Scritti Politti, Cardiacs), the `Chase Me' album tells a story of success, disillusionment, disconnection, peril, and resurrection. Anchored by three chases across a city at night, book-ended by two out-of-body experiences, and working towards a suite of uplifting love songs, it's a thriller, it's a horror, it's an allegory. Song-writer Shirley explains "The story would make a good movie I think_ but we don't know how to do that, so we did this." `Chase Me' will be available digitally, and on limited edition CD and vinyl. The vinyl version will be released on WIAIWYA records, and will include an exclusive 24 page full-colour lyric book, including photos and illustrations. Spearmint will premiere songs from the album alongside tracks from their catalogue that haven't been played for years, or ever in one instance, live at Colours in Hoxton, London, on Tuesday 29th September 2026.

Die LP versammelt neun Stücke, die zwischen 1982 und 1985 aufgenommen wurden und nun in 24-bit/48kHz-Downloads sowie als physische Pressung vorliegen. Die Veröffentlichung bringt frühe Demos und seltene Studioaufnahmen in eine kohärente Edition und richtet sich an Sammler und Freunde der regionalen Alternativszene. Musikalisch verbindet Marcus 5 alternative Funkelemente mit einem ausgeprägten Rhythmusfundament, zugleich sind Anklänge an New-Romantic- und Coldwave-Ästhetik spürbar. Charakteristisch für die Gruppe waren prägnante Basslinien, synkopierte Gitarren und eine ausgeprägte Bühnenpräsenz, die der Band in Ljubljana schnell lokale Aufmerksamkeit brachte. Diese stilistische Mischung sowie die knappen, melodisch orientierten Arrangements zeichnen den Sound aus und geben dem Material eine eigenständige Spur in der damaligen Szene.
