180gAnnihilator zählt zu den erfolgreichsten und einfl ussreichsten Thrash-Metal-Bands weltweit. Im Mittelpunkt steht Mastermind Jeff Waters, der als Gitarrist, Sänger, Produzent und Songwriter maßgeblich den Sound der Band prägt.

Ab dem 6. Juni 2025 startet earMUSIC eine umfassende Reissue-Reihe auf CD und Vinyl, beginnend mit den Alben "King Of The Kill" (1994), "Refresh The Demon" (1996) und "Remains" (1997). Alle erscheinen in neu remasterten Versionen, mit überarbeitetem Artwork und brandneuen Liner-Notes. Diese Reihe zeigt eine Band, die sich stetig weiterentwickelt hat.

Erstmals werden unter dem Titel „More Noise“ auch Demos und Bonustracks aus den jeweiligen Album-Epochen gesammelt auf CD erhältlich sein.

Für alle, die sich nach dem doppelläufi gen Schlag von "King Of The Kill" gerade erst wieder aufgerappelt hatten, war "Refresh The Demon" genau das, was der Arzt verordnet hätte. Laut Waters war es eine Fortsetzung derselben kreativen Rolle, die "King Of The Kill" inspiriert hatte, und fühlte sich wie ein zweiter kreativer Aufschwung an.

"Remains" war das kühnste Experiment von Annihilator, ein gewagter Vorstoß in die Industrial-geprägte Härte, der sich den Erwartungen widersetzte. Jeff Waters war für fast alle Aspekte der Aufnahmen verantwortlich und verfolgte einen mechanischeren und Groove-betonteren Ansatz. Obwohl es eine Abkehr von den früheren Thrash-Wurzeln der Band darstellt, bleibt sein charakteristisches Gitarrenspiel erhalten. Das Album erscheint erstmals überhaupt auf Vinyl

Mit Songs so lässig und charmant wie alte Hollywood-Filme stellt sich der 21-jährige Amerikaner aron! (nur echt mit Ausrufezeichen) als neues Signing des Verve-Labels vor. Mit einer für die digitalen Welt angenehm analogen Musik hat er auf Instagram und TikTok schon Millionen von Klicks generiert.

Mit Strubbel-Frisur und Slacker-Look könnte man aron! für einen Indie-Rocker halten, aber der Eindruck täuscht. aron! schreibt swingende Melodien und clevere Texte, croont wie ein neuer Sinatra und ist fingerfertig an Gitarre und Tasten. Seine Lieder über die Liebe und das Leben im Allgemeinen sind Popmusik einer anderen Art, nostalgisch und gleichzeitig zeitlos modern.

aron! studierte Jazzgesang und Komposition für Film. Seinen „Vintage Pop“, wie er seine Musik nennt, veröffentlicht er jetzt bei Verve Records. „Es ist eine Art Singer-Songwriter-Jazz“, erklärt er. „Ich habe mich schon immer für die echten Romantiker interessiert. Die Leute machen heute dasselbe durch wie damals. Liebeskummer ist Liebeskummer, und Liebe ist Liebe. Wir sind alle Menschen, und darum geht es in den meisten meiner Songs“.

Sechs ins Ohr gehende Songs erscheinen jetzt beim berühmten Label von Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong und Blossom Dearie. Ein Kreis schließt sich und für den jungen aron! beginnt eine vielversprechende Musikkarriere.

Special collaborative project ARUM lands on the ESHU imprint. Something that every ESHU release has in common is that each project originates from friendship or a cooperation between like minded souls. This release is no different from that. "Guus" refers to the owner of a little cabin studio where a group of friends came together to create some beats. ARUM consists of Kaap (De Lichting), Jasper Wolff (Indigo aera), Luna Ludmila and ESHU head honcho Ivano Tetelepta himself. After an extended weekend of studio sessions this was the last jam created on a hazy Sunday afternoon when the crew headed into deep dub territories. The result is a five minute long smooth dub techno ride honoring Guus and the perfect Sunday ethos. If you talk dub techno, you talk about Deadbeat. Nothing would suit this release more than a remix by this true icon in dub techno and a close friend to the ESHU family. Happy Sundayzzz.

Die zweifach für einen Grammy nominierte Band kehrte für "Roar Like Thunder" in die Sienna Recording Studios in Nashville zurück, um zusammen mit Produzent Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne) das Album aufzunehmen. Herausgekommen ist ein Album, das vor heißem Rock’n’Roll nur so strotzt.

Sergej Prokofjew vollendete die Skythische Suite op. 20 im Jahr 1914, als er im Begriff war, seiner Heimat den Rücken zu kehren. Die Symphonische Suite op. 60 wurde fast zwei Jahrzehnte später komponiert, nachdem Prokofjew 1933 nach Russland zurückgekehrt war. Die biographischen Wendepunkte, an denen die beiden Suiten stehen, stellen auch ideologische Wendepunkte in Prokofjews Kunstauffassung dar. U.K. progressive post-rock supergroup Crippled Black Phoenix is a musical collective that has featured nearly 30 members in it's rotating roster. The constant driving force is multi- instrumentalist Justin Greaves (Electric Wizard, Iron Monkey Se Delan), who formed the band in 2004 with Mogwai bassist Dominic Aitchison. Creating what they describe as "endtime ballads" to signify both the slightly macabre nature of their songs & the unusual blend of styles as the final evolution in music. The band have made live shows a focus by performing in unusual venues across the world as well as using Victorian-era instruments in tandem with more modern instruments, often involving more than a dozen members onstage. In 2006, Crippled Black Phoenix released their first album, 'A Love Of Shared Disasters', followed in 2009 by 'The Resurrectionists' & 'Night Raider', but it was their fourth album released in 2010 on Invada Records - 'I, Vigilante' - an album of uncompromising soundscapes that garnered the band & album widespread critical acclaim within the media worldwide. On 'I, Vigilante', CBP create songs that feel both sky-crackingly epic & intimate at the same time. "We Forgotten Who We Are" is an 11 minute thundering storm which powers through sections of head-nodding chugging guitars to a sunrise of happy melody & back, "Fantastic Justice" is a staggering display of songwriting, with twists & turns that make the band sound like a mini orchestra - horns, strings, crashes & swoons with Greaves the dark conductor. The spoken-word opening to "Bastogne Blues" is perfectly evocative for a genuinely troubled song, CBP's command of bleakness is at it's strongest here; cinematic doesn't come close to describing the song's emotional resonance. Italian sound artist Marco Shuttle debuts on Astral Industries with AI-39. Alluring and evocative, ‘Sonidos y Modulaciones de la Selva’ is a journey deep into the Amazon rainforest, seeking to capture its power and vastness, but also a rumination on the problem of its impending destruction.

In this album Shuttle sees the continuation and further ripening of an ongoing creative process, utilising both audio and visual documentations as source material. On this occasion most of the field recordings were taken in the Tupana Arü Ü nature reserve in the Amazonas region of Columbia, between Leticia and Puerto Nariño.

For the compositional process Shuttle employs a distinctly minimalist approach, achieving highly rich and articulate soundscapes with relatively little. Painting with an almost impressionistic stroke, the depth of imagery is underpinned by a strong experimental leaning and a sophisticated musical language.

Within its wild freeform, the seamless interplay between nature and the machines sees them merge into a mysterious dance - a liquifying sequence of scenes that shimmer with flora, fauna and the unmistakable aliveness of the jungle. A procession of sputtering and cavernous pulsations, sprawling biologies and hidden mysteries, the jungle as an entity, a spirit, begins to emerge. With all its peculiarities and strangeness, it reveals a world of seeming chaos, yet underneath it all a thread of something innately conscious.

Although it could be considered a form of sound diary, the scope spans much further than a standalone creative work. Within its intoxicating montage of shifting forms, ‘Sonidos y Modulaciones de la Selva’ stands as a sonic ethnography, and a contemplation on time, space, and our evolving relationship with nature.

Ongoing large-scale logging, agriculture and infrastructure projects are leading to significant deforestation in the Amazon, and continues to threaten biodiversity, the global environment and the livelihoods of indigenous communities. Part of the proceedings from this release will be donated to Amazon Watch (amazonwatch.org), a nonprofit organisation that works to protect the rainforest and advance the rights of indigenous peoples in the Amazon Basin.

Heading in a different direction to Radman's older releases, this EP is inspired by two of his young loves: London squat parties and militant EA raves. That darkside hardcore sound you'd hear in the morning at the squats, with the energy of the main event at a Thetford Forest party. Dark, stompin', and drenched in 303s.

It's dedicated to one of his partners in crime of the time, Phil Sayer, who introduced him to much of the above and always pushed Radman to keep releasing tunes, with his support and brutal critique. Radman took samples of one of Phil's original poems for the track ACAB, from his performance in his old living room. Phil loved vinyl, 303s, darkside and hardcore, so we think he woulda been chuffed.

Da er jedoch nur sieben Alben unter seinem Namen aufnahm und bereits mit 33 Jahren verrstarb, ist er weitgehend in Vergessenheit geraten. “Blue Serge” von 1956 ist laut Penguin Guide To Jazz sein bestes Album: “Chaloffs Meisterwerk ist kraftvoll und bewegend zugleich, nicht weil man weiß, dass er dem Tod so nahe war, sondern wegen der unsentimentalen Stringenz seines Spiels.
