Voices From the Lake (consisting of Donato Dozzy and Neel) mark the 10th anniversary of their influential self-titled album with a fully remastered reissue on Spazio Disponibile. It arrives in full on vinyl for the first time, as well as on digital formats, first quarter of 2023 as the pair continues to play select live shows around the world. The release will see the light of day as a 4-set vinyl LP release, including download. Italians Dozzy and Neel have been friends united by a shared vision of music since their teenage years. They are immaculate sculptors of sound who fuse evocative ambient and leftfield techno into multi-layered soundscapes. For many years they worked as established solo artists but came together in 2011 to craft what is now regarded as one of techno's most pure and absorbing listening experiences. It's often said that the best music comes about as a happy accident, and that is certainly true of Voices From the Lake. The career-defining album first arose in the thoughts of Dozzy and Neel when the latter was preparing a mix for the former's wedding and named it Voices From The Lake. It was a pertinent title that stuck in the mind: both grew up by waters around the coast of Italy, and in their early days the pair even held private parties on the shores of a lake. Fittingly, Japan's celebrated Labyrinth festival at that time was also held by a river and a lake in the middle of a forest on a serene mountainside. It was that exact setting the pair envisaged when making music to play live on stage. During preparations, they "accidentally" wrote an entire album. It has only ever been performed live a few times - once at Japan's Labyrinth festival in 2011, at London's Barbican, Barcelona's Mira Festival, Paris' Marathon Festival and once during 2022's Amsterdam Dance Event. Those shows saw the pair using banks of analogue and digital equipment to improvise in the moment and essentially remix the album live on stage. That spontaneity is captured in the original Voices From the Lake recordings and on later LPs such as Live at Maxxi in 2015, and the most recent EP Quarto Freddo from 2020. But the debut album remains a standout achievement. A decade on, it's quiet intensity, musical storytelling and slowly unfolding tension remain in a class of one. Each sound is meticulously designed and placed, and the spaces left behind are just as important in conveying such a captivating mood and emotion. Rather than traditional kick drums, hi-hats or snares, this is music crafted from layers of real-world sound - dripping water, chirping birds, rustling leaves or a distant breeze - and it's that which defines the album's organic allure. From deeply contemplative to cautiously optimistic, pastoral organic scenes to more underwater worlds, Voices From the Lake is a cohesive collection of tracks that add up to one inseparable whole.

Kosuke Mine’s electric album, with a strong rock and funk flavor, is set for reissue as part of "Spin This Now!" Vol. 9. This classic album shines with the outstanding combination of Mine’s saxophone with a wah-wah pedal and Mikio Masuda’s psychedelic keyboards.

East Wind was a groundbreaking jazz label established in 1974 through the full cooperation of Ai Music, as it was then known, and Nippon Phonogram, as it was then known. Over a period of about five years, the label produced albums not only by Japanese musicians such as Masabumi Kikuchi, Sadao Watanabe, and Terumasa Hino, but also by musicians who were engaged in creative activity on the global jazz scene at the time. In addition to the quality of the performances, the artwork, created with leading designers and photographers, brought a fresh new image to jazz albums and had a major influence on later record production.

New school Italian techno sensation Alignment is back with a third thrilling EP for on Charlotte de Witte’s KNTXT label that once again stands him apart.

Alignment's previous outings on the label - the Time EP in April 2020, then his Nothingness EP in November 2020 - made huge impacts. They are standout techno offerings from a young and exciting artist who has quickly risen to the top. He has remained hugely busy in the last 12 months with a wide-ranging sound that takes in everything from old school bangers to trance-tinged rollers via futuristic workouts.

Says label boss Charlotte de Witte, "Alignment's music has been strongly represented in all my livestreams of 2020 and 2021 and I honestly can't wait to finally bring his music and his latest creations on Power EP to the dancefloor. It's made to make you move and I'm very happy to have him on board once again!“

The artist himself adds, "The vibes we shared pre-pandemic on our beloved dance-floors inspired me a lot to create Power EP. I tried to focus on effective and highly energetic, peak-time techno weapons for KNTX011. Signature synths, big stabs and kicks following only one formula - no compromise and four to the floor.”

First up is Power, a high octane track with hard drums, slamming bass and bright synths that cannot fail to get hands in the air. The excellent 'Disconnection' has laser-like synths shooting across the face of the track while big, edgy trance stabs light up the barreling drums from way up above. 'Frequency' is another trance-influenced track that brings peak time energy to stomping and distorted drums. It is an emotive rollercoaster that never lets up and will make a mark on even the biggest dance floors. Last of all is 'Radioactivity' which has scuffed metal textures, crashing drums and strobe-lit synth lines that will turn every party into a rave.

Copenhagen-based DJ and producer Anastasia Kristensen presents her debut album Bestiarium Sombre, a vivid and cinematic techno work shaped by UK bleep, jungle and dubbed IDM influences. Known for headlining major clubs and festivals worldwide and for releases on Houndstooth, Turbo and Arcola, she now delivers a cohesive long-form statement on Intercept, home to artists such as Tsepo, Coloray, DJ Aya and Ineffekt. The album follows an anthropomorphic concept where each track embodies an animal, creating a distinctive narrative world with strong visual identity. This vinyl edition arrives as a limited transparent yellow marbled pressing housed in full-colour artwork. Designed for both peak-time DJs and collectors, it combines dancefloor impact with strong shelf presence.

Volume 2 of 3 vinyls containing all the extended mixes on Claude VonStroke’s 5th original artist album, “Wrong Number.” Whilst the first vinyl was all deep cuts, this second record is full of bumpy, quirky, club tools with unique properties. “Two Line Groove” features vocals “in the round” from both of his children, Jasper and Ella, and can be imagined working well on the DC10 terrace this summer. “A Little Drizzle” is a classic wonky VonStroke bassline with vocal chops all getting twisted like Matthew Herbert meets Akufen. Beaubien is the name of the street I lived on in downtown Detroit in the late ’90s. Sometimes people forget how much trance influence was in that early techno from the area. I made this string patch back in 1999 in my loft above Nikki’s Pizza, and it’s been sitting on my hard drive with that title ever since. I never imagined I’d be playing it at Panorama Bar in Berlin one day, and that it would work. That track went off!

Berlin lo-fi crooner Der Assistent returns with "Ultramarin", a sun-faded suite of soft-focus pop, Balearic grooves and late-night yacht moods drifting between languages, moods and references – slightly surreal, and quietly melancholic.
Following the tropical haze of its predecessor "Amnesie am Amazonas", his third album makes a slightly bigger splash: classic late-80s digital pianos, downbeat grooves and flashes of dub-reggae intertwine with subtle soprano and alto saxophone lines that drift between lounge melancholy and nocturnal jazz.
Laid-back opening cut “Wenn der Scirocco weht” pays homage to Japanese lovers rock, while the dubby downbeat title track celebrates the color blue in French, English, Italian and German, echoing situationist slogans and painter Yves Klein’s idea of “the invisible becoming visible.” Lead single “Mann am Telefon” dives into hazy yacht-pop and lo-fi soul, gradually unfolding into an instrumental outro that recalls the early synth romanticism of Vangelis.
Across the album, Der Assistent traces a playful tale of split personalities – with subtle nods to Fight Club and Blade Runner – culminating in the lush closing 80s R&B ballad “Total Confusion”.

Dj Immortal invites you to dive into his obscure experimental laboratory with “dissociation EP”, the first release on his own label, Glue Recordings. Oscillating between breakbeat, house and electro bits, the project blends genres and moods into a four-track journey made for sticky dancefloors and nocturnal explorations.

Eric Cloutier's career has always been defined by a certain kind of relentless, monastic discipline. With My Friend The Abyss (PALINOIALP01), Cloutier continues to bridge the gap between the selector and the creator. The album title itself suggests a reckoning with the internal-a realization that time is the only distance between an artist and their masterpiece-resulting in a body of work that feels less like a collection of tracks and more like a hard-won transmission from the deep.

Forged in a crucible of stress, chaos, and loss, the LP eschews the easy loops of his earlier output for a far more complex architecture. While Cloutier's signature hypnotic pulse remains the bedrock, the record expands into a startlingly broad lexicon: the dub-wise weight of "Havittaa" and the tribal intensity of "Desassossego" sit alongside moments of fragile ambient beauty. Following the underground cult success of Mystical Funk, Gerardo Frisina returns to the 7” format with a new double-sider aimed at dancefloors, collectors, and selectors with a taste for cinematic funk. A record that feels as though it emerged from a lost Afro-funk session, where cosmic funk and Afro-Latin grooves are filtered through a distinctly modern electronic sensibility.
On the A-side, “Duala”, inspired by the African city of Douala, pays tribute to Afro-funk in its most visionary era, evoking the unmistakable sound made famous by the great Manu Dibango. The track opens into a dense and hypnotic electronic funk journey: pulsating basslines, fluid guitars, psychedelic synthesizers, and a rhythmic tension that recalls the golden age of Afro-funk. A nocturnal voyage through rare groove and cinematic atmospheres, with the groove constantly remaining at the heart of the composition.
On the B-side, “Lindeza” is a tribute to the beauty and richness of Brazilian musical culture. A track that shifts perspective while keeping the temperature high: elegant, percussion-driven electronics with a Latin spirit, flowing at around 110 BPM. Warm and magnetic, the piece carries all the hallmarks of Gerardo Frisina’s sound, where futuristic jazz, tropical funk, batucada, and club culture meet in a refined production designed equally for deep listening and the dancefloor.

Originally released in the height of the underground disco revival, The Sounds Of Revolution EP has since become a sought-after modern classic. After years out of circulation — and with original copies now trading hands for €80-100 on the second-hand market — this long-requested EP finally returns to vinyl.

For its eleventh installment, Raw Soul continues to carve out its place in the deeper end of the house spectrum, this time welcoming Stuttgart-based DJ and producer Jakob Mäder to the fold.
Titled "House Your Feeling", the five-track EP captures Mäder's wide-ranging musical language-rooted in house, yet drifting effortlessly into ambient textures, disco-tinted warmth, and subtly experimental structures. It's a body of work that feels both intimate and expansive, equally suited for late-night listening and early-morning dancefloors.
The collaboration has been a long time in the making. Built over months of close exchange, the project reflects not only a shared musical vision but also a genuine personal connection. That sense of trust and patience resonates throughout the record-carefully crafted, unhurried, and deeply felt.
Across the EP, Mäder explores different shades of house music: from reduced, dreamy cuts to more groove-driven moments, always maintaining a distinct emotional core. On the A-side JARC completely pull apart and rebuild this disco bonafide classic turning it “Downside Up” and into a slinky, slowly building, fat funky bass line driven excursion. Sneaking different elements throughout the intro leading into the iconic vocals.

On the flip, the duo again build out the groove, turning this Jazz-Prog Rock classic from the mid 80’s into a club friendly, super funky floor shaker.

Jeff Mills does the dance a favour with remastered and unreleased cuts of some all-time classic.

Mills presents a previously unreleased version of the savage “Suspense” from his Drama EP AX006, 1993, alongside the haunting synth pads and fizzing 909 hustle of “Gamma Player” from Millsart’s Humana AX012, 1995 on the A-side.

The flipside features a fresh cut of the bleeping, intrepid deep-space sound design of “Transformation B (Rotwang’s Revenge)” from his Metropolis soundtrack, and the hypnotic energy of “Hydra and Synergy,” as used in his Exhibitionist 2 (2015) mix.

Long-running event series Point inaugurates its new label with the debut EP by co-owner Laimonas. These four tracks draw on the weighty lineage of EBM and electro to evoke fragile mental states and their sublimation into cathartic dancefloor experience. ‘Ček’ is a brooding, almost military opener, its implacable beat tempered by expressive synth work and a striking mid-track break. ‘Fusion Glasses’ gets funkier, with ricocheting shards of percussion and jazzy keys, while ‘Editional’ leans darker, its roiling textures punctured by cosmic fanfares. Massimiliano Pagliara celebrates 20 years of music production with a special anniversary compilation on Funnuvojere. The release brings together solo productions and collaborations spanning a rich and abundant period that began when Pagliara acquired his first analogue machines, five years after moving to Berlin from Milan, where he worked as a professional dancer and choreographer.

The compilation features 20 previously unreleased tracks, deeply infused with italo grooves, wonky bass-lines, balearic pads, drama, love, sex, and dreams. These tracks evoke a wide spectrum of moments, ranging from intimate, pleasure-driven home listening to full-blown dance-floor euphoria. Throughout the compilation, one can feel Pagliara’s enthusiasm for discovery—his excitement in encountering new machines and immediately putting them to work.

Pagliara’s sonic identity is unmistakable, present in every track and in the compilation as a whole. Like the facets of a crystal, the music reflects his many nuances while maintaining a strong, coherent core. Tracks such as Waves of Desire pay homage to Dream House, reimagined through contemporary production with cosmic tones and infectious drums. Ultimately, this compilation stands as both a gift to Massimiliano’s long-time fans and an open invitation to new listeners. It offers entry into a world shaped by beauty, order, balance, and ecstasy—guided by an enduring love for the craft.

Nørbak is back on HAYES with Passo Lento, five sparse, Orwellian exercises with concrete percussion and a soul-stirring, atonal approach to melody.

To submit or to surrender? Robert Johnson resident Oskar Offermann doesn’t have the answers, and that’s kind of the point. Things change: one moment you’re touring the globe as a recognizable face of one of the greatest clubs in the world, the next you’ve started a new life as a teacher. How do you handle that shift? On this record, Offermann doesn’t offer solutions so much as trace his own way through it, reflecting the whole process in his music and creative work.

Whatever the story, whatever the case, Oskar Offermann can still produce some of the most emotive, bleepy, strange dance music out there and this 12 inch is the proof. Sonically and conceptually it leans into that precise, melancholic German school: at points drawing from 80s wave and experimental music, then flirting with trancey motifs and closing in divinely crafted breakbeat. In just four tracks it packs in a surprising amount of functional range, exactly what you’d expect from one of RJ’s longest-standing residents. The A- and B-sides mirror each other: they open at full intensity, tempos pushed well past the 130 BPM mark, easy to imagine ripping through a peak-time floor – and still both sides land on something far more personal and reflective.

Even inside a framework of high-intensity club tunes, Oskar’s character shines through loud and proud. Think the slightly disjarring yet melodically captivating winds in the middle of the B1 trance induced number “Accepting”, or the masterfully paced build of opener “Planet Interface”. The same goes for A2 “Televise Improvise” and B2 “Sei mal nur lieb”: on paper they should feel like breathers next to the two behemoths, but they don’t. Offermann crams so much substance and personality into them that they become quietly dangerous. There’s that magical mix of squelchy acid, rough low end and naturalistic melodies on B2, and the relentless emotional drive of A2 “Televise Improvise”. Oskar is really, really good at making dance music irresistible.

Character, skill and honesty in one record, meant for the attentive listener and the brave DJ. A rare combination nowadays, get it fast!

Italy via Atlanta, say hello to Titino and “Sun Splicer”, the latest release on The Comfort. Three separate ideas connect this EP across 4 tracks. It toys with the expectations of its listener — core features morph as tracks progress, stable kick patterns turn to breaks and in reverse, simple stabs progress to melodic junctions. Acid permeates this record, not as a clear motif but a tinged essence. And it’s sincere, both to the setting of these pieces and where they’ll be listened to and what it honors.

“Shblasted” — a back-and-forth groove machine filled with dub sirens and stepped up acid. Clubby introduction meant for sacred dance floors.

“Ouachita” on the A2 is controlled chaos, snares fly around, synth lines seem to want to escape their own confines and it just bursts onto the listener. Then the keys come in, the groove stabilizes, pads become bigger and new life is given.

The B-side is playful. “Sun Splicer” is perhaps most aptly categorized by a now notorious idea of ‘electro house’, and the pure aggressive euphoria this track carries just might be that, but as we all know the Italians do it differently — it’s a heady dark excursion. “Existenz” is all-smiles no matter how menacing its first contact, a hook of a track that reimagines the weirder side of Italian trance — think Interactive Test at its most wonderful. The dusty snares feel like a balancing tool instead of an homage.

World-famous pianist Tsuyoshi Yamamoto’s second East Wind release, "Life," appears in the lineup for "Spin This Now!" Vol. 9. Backed by a golden rhythm section with Sam Jones on bass and Billy Higgins on drums, Yamamoto delivers a supremely swinging performance. His delicate ballad playing on "If You Could See Me Now" is also essential listening.

East Wind was a groundbreaking jazz label established in 1974 through the full cooperation of Ai Music, as it was then known, and Nippon Phonogram, as it was then known. Over a period of about five years, the label produced albums not only by Japanese musicians such as Masabumi Kikuchi, Sadao Watanabe, and Terumasa Hino, but also by musicians who were engaged in creative activity on the global jazz scene at the time. In addition to the quality of the performances, the artwork, created with leading designers and photographers, brought a fresh new image to jazz albums and had a major influence on later record production.

Behind Waspriders )) are two unhinged creative minds - Danny Voicu (aka Dan Only, ½ Cloudsteppers) and Alex Pletnev (aka Pletnev, Moisk). These transmissions started taking shape in a Toronto studio back in 2024. Toronto's own Cindy Ciel - also ½ of Cloudsteppers - blessed the EP with a body-moving banger of her own.

After Maghreb K7 Club – Synth Raï, Chaoui & Staïfi (1985-1997) and Maghreb K7 Club Disco Singles Volume 1, 2, and 3, Sofa Records and Les Disques Bongo Joe team up again for a new project exploring funky, synth-driven tape music from the Maghreb.

This compilation brings together eight songs —delivering a Saharan pop sound melted with reggae, dub, new-wave and funk — by Yassine (Ahl) Nana, the iconic figure of Mauritanian pop music in the 1980s and 1990s. Yassine and his band recorded songs between Nouakchott, Paris, and Rabat, resulting in only a pair of rare cassette tapes. This music was definitively part of the vibrant wave of African sounds sweeping across the continent at the time, from Abidjan to Oran and Kinshasa.

This compilation features previously unreleased recordings, along with liner notes, interviews, and exclusive iconography.

Diego Krause opens the bottle with “Currents,” setting the tone with controlled momentum. Punchy kick and bass sync with swinging hats and airy pads as crystalline synths gradually expand in colour, culminating in sparse, darker echoes and an understated atmosphere in its final moments. Lescano’s “Illusion” uses a stripped-back tech-house palette of resonant dubby chords, vocal echoes, and funky bass stabs, all thrown into motion, ready for the dancefloor. On the flip, NVNDO & Until6’s “Donkey Long” brings a playful shift: bongo-driven percussion, rubbery grooves, and 90s-tinted house basslines and synthwork give it a hint of Balearic flavour without losing club weight. A collection of spellbinding, melismatic vocal improvisations taken from 78s cut between the mid 1920s to mid '30s - a period defined by the aftermath of the Ottoman Empire’s partition, the Greco-Turkish War and the compulsory population exchange that followed.

This same period also represented a time of intense efforts, following the establishment of the Republic, to westernise the new nation's music - coupled with a ban on traditional music education in schools, and later a complete ban on broadcasting Ottoman-Turkish classical music on the radio. As such these performances seem shrouded in an even more distant past, and feel quite intimately connected with forms of Greek amanes and rebetiko - having stemmed from the same Ottoman makam system, both with a subject-matter focussed on heartbreak, yearning, and pain.

Ākāśa Studio is the sonic extension of a long-form exploration, a project dedicated to creating a sanctuary in nature for the expansion of consciousness in the hills of Sardinia. The label is the byproduct of a decade spent digging through records and making music, driven by a persistent refusal to settle for the expected.
For our debut, we’ve reached into the archives of George Saunders (SolarQuest). On the A side, we have selected three recordings from the mid-90s that embody the driving, emotional core of techno- trance with a touch of Goa. These pieces are remarkably lean, stripping away the excess of the era to focus on pure melodic momentum. They are high-energy club tracks that prioritise atmosphere over complexity. The B-side explores the after-hour sound that has become a staple of our gatherings. These tracks, produced between the late 90s and early 2000s, lean into spacious dub-inflections and warm, marinating, ambient textures. While the tempo recedes, SolarQuest’s distinct character remains, unfolding slowly to suit the transition from the dance-floor back to the self.

NU-S3RVO Vol. 2 is the second compilation released by NU-S3RVO. In this release, we continue our exploration of the sounds of modern East Asia, shifting our focus toward female creators within the local scene. This album features works from seven producers based in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Chengdu, spanning genres from Ambient and Bass to IDM and Techno.

The juxtaposition of “Eastern” and “Female” is not intended to annotate a specific identity, but rather to present an entirely autonomous field. For too long, the “East” has been constructed as a feminine, mysterious, and sensory-indulgent mirror of the “Other.” Such aesthetic norms act not only as gendered shackles but as extensions of colonial logic, forcing both women and the East to share a fate of being “spectacularized” for the gaze. Electronic music, as a creative medium, derives its radical freedom precisely from its departure from this destiny of “spectacle.” It represents the oscillator’s transcendence of physical acoustics and functions as a liberatory technology, offering creators a sanctuary to dismantle traditional constraints and reconstruct the self. In fact, since the inception of modern sound, women have been at the very core of inventing and defining the technologies, interfaces, and expressive techniques of the craft.

Stripping away the romanticized and semioticized cultural shells, each local artist in this compilation is a master of diverse technical crafts. Through their unique logic and emotional resonance, we aim to establish a decentralized acoustic language within the fissures of modern civilization.

Landing in early 2026, Smooth Sailing traces a blissed-out sonic journey from the combined minds of San Francisco’s Namastrange and Amsterdam’s Breeze. Their cross-continental connection threads throughout the EP, with subtle nods to the vast ocean that separates them. Closing the EP, Bliss Inc. delivers a psy-tinged reinterpretation of Meridian Space - a dark, brooding acid workout that pulls the original into deeper, murkier waters.

Belgian electronic body-music pioneers A Split-Second deliver an expanded reissue of their influential 1987 debut Ballistic Statues, a landmark of the New Beat and EBM movement. It is this distinctive perspective that The Hague based artist brings to Schrödinger’s Box for NPC Dream, eight tracks that map a journey that disregards genre limitations. The intent and mood are immediately set with the fierce “Air Slasher” plunging through the fog as kicks roll and beads of acid bulge. Raw electro is further coarsened by scything keys and vicious vocoder words in the title piece before the technoid mutations and pain-streaked “Echo of Ecco.” The ground is never stable, the direction and ideas darting and shifting to new sonic territory. Punishing and pure, “Mine Cart Madness” is EBM-encrusted cruelty. Tempos shift on the flip, the slow and cinematic atmosphere of “Pixel Swamp” feeding into the sinister and snarling snares of “Wishing Engine.” Paranoia and tension collide in the stabbing chiptune chords and spiking percussion of “Come Get Some”, acid barbs ballooning into a blistering barrage in this warped wrecking ball. “Light Warrior” is cut from the same raucous cloth. Knobs splinter against machined lyrics, sirens blare as kicks thump in this basement lurking beast.
