French Chicago Techno imprint Ghettomania is back with a bang – including tracks from the mighty Paul Johnson & Traxman.

In what ways does human consciousness transcend time, crafting subconscious connections that unite humanity’s primordial past with a future yet to be defined? Fittingly, Memory Implant took shape by following the latent threads of this concept, emerging from dream theories and anthropological explorations organically into the realm of Fourth World Music.

Finding a middle ground between atmosphere and rhythm, moving forward while remaining grounded in space, the music progresses with subtle shifts in texture and energy.

The concept of genre re-invention is irrelevant when rhythm is a building block of collective consciousness. Instead, Glaesha brings a fresh perspective, using sound as a way of seeing.

If there is one person, who has been causing a stir on the international club circuit recently, it is Barcelona's John Talabot. Already his debut “My Old School“ (which is meant literally by the way) on Permanent Vacation in 2009 and shortly after that the single “ Sunshine”, which he put out on his own Hivern Disc imprint, made him one of the most promising musicians of the Spanish electronic scene. And those two releases also already set the mark for John Talabot’s unparalleled music: raw, loopy, heavy on the kick drum, sample based, moderate on the tempo, distorted on the drums and light years away from the clean and ever revolving house sound of today. This unique style which also blends influences from afro beat, Detroit techno, Chicago house and cosmic disco, but also northern soul or the energy of Flamenco, immediately turned some heads around. James Murphy, Âme and Aeroplane started including Talabot music in their sets like it was the most natural thing. However - and this is quite rare - he not only gained legions of fans in the house and disco community, but also amongst the leftfield pop and indie rock followers. NME and Resident Advisor both had “Breakthrough“ features on John Talabot and he can be proud of a “Best New Music“ dubbing on
Pitchfork. (Being rather elusive on showing his face in magazines or the web it also came to some funny rumors that John Talabot was the alter ego of a well-known techno producer from Detroit).
At the same time he drew the attention of like-minded artists like James Holden and Luke Abott from Border Community, Blondes or Delorean, which lead to a bunch of fertile collaborations: Luke Abbott and Blondes remixed Talabot’s “Sunshine“ single , John Talabot remixed a track by Delorean and vice versa Delorean’s Ekhi contributed vocals to the track “Journeys “ on John’s album). Another example is the Young Turks Label (home of Jamie XX, Holy Fuck, El Guincho or SBTRKT ) on which he released the “Families“ EP in 2010. It was praised beyond limits. Pitchfork for
instance hailed: “… where pop and house influences sweetly buffer up against one another to provide an unyielding sense of elation“ and even brought Talabot a comparison with artists like Four Tet or Caribou.
While staying true to his sound, John Talabot has nevertheless shown a constant evolution as a producer since his first release. He has traced a solid musical path that has turned him into one of the big references of European House and has made him also a highly in demand Remixer (for the likes of The XX, Francesco Tristano’s “Aufgang” project, Shit Robot on DFA, Thaiti 80, Joakim or Teengirl Fantasy to name just a few ).
A progression that now crystallizes in “ƒin”, his first full-length album for Permanent Vacation. A record, in which the Barcelona mastermind sets aside the danceable immediacy to expand his stylistic palette more than ever. For that purpose, Talabot melts all the elements that have constructed his distinctive sound until now and makes them emerge from a new perspective, in which the construction of complex song structures, intricate rhythms and superpositions of ever-evolving melodies and atmospheres pick up the baton of the “a kick-drum and a sampler” philosophy of his initial productions. The result brings us 11 tracks (we should call them songs really!) dominated by dark ambiances, gaseous textures and bittersweet moods that, above all, reveal a kind of vivacity that’s really hard to find in contemporary electronics. “Fin” is far from being a track collection. From the majestic opener “Depak Ine“ to it’s solemn ending with
“So Will Be Now“ , one of the two tracks that features Talabot’s soul and label mate Pional, each song traces an overall dialogue with the rest, culminating a highly emotional journey through Talabot’s always compelling and unique musical vision.

Bringing a combination of two conceptual artists Ultrastretch 11 moves away from dance music to present this comtemporary off kilter.


On the A side, Montreal based producer Ohm Hourani, known for minimalistic jazz influenced works on his own imprint ANOMA and beyond, with compositions showcasing infusions of organic sounds combined with modular synthestisers, drum machines and vocalists such as his collaboration with award winning Jazz singer and Vocalist Diminique Fils Aime.


On this release he presents a 14 minute stripped down, intrinsically and subtly arranged combination of elements Initiale by a minimalistic kick drum joined by a synth driven, quirky / hypnotic mind drilling element paired with the finest straight hihats delicately placed on the background as the Constant. The subtle movement of the track is introduced by percussive drumming, vocals and piano keys forming the most beautiful atmospheric melody. The last element of surprise brings shuffling hihats bringing amazing swing to the overall elegantly slick piece.

The B side brings the highly sought-after drummer Samuel Rohrer. Ranging from ECM sideman to member of KAVE, a quartet alongside techno pioneer Max Loderbauer, Stian Westerhus and Tobias Freund as well as collaborative works with Ricardo Villalobos and Laurie Anderson, he is known for his unique sound aesthetics on advanced musical cross-pollination, developments of improvisation in acoustic jazz and wider horizons of live electronics.
Rohrer also brings a hypnotic reinterpretation but in a very different manner / mood than the A side. Initiated by strings combined with Rohrer’s tight drumming patterns at the forefront and bass line underneath as the constant, combination by which forms a tense yet peaceful core pattern to this track. To compliment this, synths create movement by adding cosmic and quirky sounds forming an atmospheric soundscape with the whispering vocal “shake it” on top. Overall, the paradoxical relationship between tight (rhythm) and lose (soundscape) is presented in perfect harmony with each other.

Radio City EP marks the vinyl debut on DOTS. Music, showcasing three distinctive cuts from Dutch producer Pascal Benjamin, along with a standout remix by Argentinian artist Alexis Cabrera. Built around tight grooves, warm analog textures, and playful percussive details, the EP captures a rhythmic, dynamic, and dancefloor-ready energy.

Opening the A-side, Radio City blends sexy chord stabs with Rhodes keys and tiny vocal fragments that lock effortlessly into the groove. Cabrera’s remix flips the original into funkier territory, adding a gliding bassline, electric guitar riffs, and an irresistibly rolling swing that complements the original’s flow while offering a fresh twist.

On the flip, Rewind explores a more underground dimension with sharp drum programming, subtle acid touches, and chopped vocals. A groovy, short-note bassline drives the rhythm forward, while deep chords make the track equally effective in afterhours sessions or peak-time club sets.

Flat Sprite closes the EP with a forward-driving acid hook riding over rolling snares and synths — a functional groove weapon with hypnotic momentum.

With Radio City, Pascal Benjamin delivers a tightly curated selection that merges minimalistic sound design with groove-driven charm — a confident debut that balances functionality with character on the dancefloor.

FARMED REALITIES ANNOUNCES DEBUT VINYL RELEASE: FRAWAX001

Zurich-based label Farmed Realities proudly unveils its first vinyl release, FRAWAX001, a dub and minimal-oriented record that sets the tone for the label’s innovative vision.

Leading the release is label co-head Reto Erni with his signature deep dub groove on the A1 track, delivering a hypnotic and immersive sound. The track is reimagined by Lola Palmer, whose remix infuses an energetic and powerful drive, transforming it into an instant dancefloor classic.

On the flip side, Leeni and Danilo Kupfernagel offer a melancholic and melodic reinterpretation of the original, maintaining its core groove while adding a soulful, introspective layer.

FRAWAX001 is a bold statement from Farmed Realities, blending dub’s depth with minimal’s precision, available now on vinyl.

Wax Digits hits release number five with a tight and tidy two-tracker from the late veteran Robert Ouimet who passed a couple of years ago. Before then he cooked up these gems with his pal and production partner Dave Godin. They are being released as a tribute to the memory of Ouimet and a fine one they are too. 'Plenty' has a raw groove and big chords with jangling guitars adding hints of melancholy that counter the big stabs. Soulful vocals are a great finishing touch then 'Funky Together' is more loose and strident with big horns leading the way under psyched-out chords. Two quality party starters.

From the dark, reverberating echoes of Kadinjaca Hill to the relentless march of Odjek Koraka, each track reverberates with an intense energy that speaks of defiance and unity in the face of adversity. Pad Okova is driven by a haunting chord that cuts through the pounding beat like a sharpened blade, while Tebi, Moja Dolores brings a haunting melancholy to the battlefield, encapsulating the unyielding spirit of the resistance movement.

Fire of God's Love ist das legendäre Album der australischen Nonne Schwester Irene O'Connor aus dem Jahr 1973 - eine aufrichtige, gefühlvolle und unbewusst psychedelische Songfolge, die der Selbstreflexion und dem Erwachen des inneren Geistes gewidmet ist. Das Album ist eine Sammlung von originellen spirituellen Folksongs, die von O'Connor geschrieben und mit Gitarre, E-Orgel, Drumcomputer und ihrer engelsgleichen Stimme interpretiert wurden. Es wurde von ihrer Mitschwester und Toningenieurin Sister Marimil Lobregat auf erstaunlich futuristische Weise aufgenommen und abgemischt. Freedom To Spend bietet die erste autorisierte Neuauflage dieses heiligen Grals seit 1976; das Album wurde mit Sorgfalt und Bedacht aus den besten verfügbaren Quellen restauriert und remastered. Als junge römisch-katholische Nonne im Orden der Franziskanerinnen von Maria begann Schwester Irene 1953 ihre musikalischen Aktivitäten, als sie von Sydney in ein Kloster in Singapur zog und begann, Kinder mit Lernschwierigkeiten zu unterrichten. Nachdem sie sich eine Akustikgitarre zugelegt und drei einfache Akkorde gelernt hatte, blühten Irenes Lieder dank der Begeisterung der Kinder auf. Die kristallklare Stimme von Schwester Irene wird exquisit von einem schimmernden Mosaik aus Hall und analogen Synthesizer-Klängen umhüllt, während sie wie eine Glocke in der Dunkelheit erklingt und so lange nachhallt, bis die Wahrheit oder das Göttliche erscheint. Themen wie Barmherzigkeit, Gnade, Licht und Geheimnis werden von sanften Akustikgitarrenklängen und ewigen Pianotönen untermalt, die sich langsam auf vibrierenden Fäden drehen. Bei den Songs mit Keyboards spielte Schwester Irene alle Parts live in Echtzeit, einschließlich der Basspedale. Die Drum Machine wurde von derselben Orgel erzeugt, die sie spielte, und gleichzeitig ausgeführt. All dies trägt zu einer Atmosphäre erhöhter Präsenz bei, einem organischen Blitz, der tief aus dem Unterbewusstsein kommt. Entstanden aus Ideen, die in einem ruhigen Kloster und abgeschieden von weltlichen Einflüssen entstanden sind, wird der liturgische Rahmen des Albums durch die innige Hingabe zweier Schwestern gefiltert - ihre eigene Interpretation von Popmusik, befreit von Anmaßung und oberflächlichem Glamour. Die Texte sprechen universelle Bedürfnisse, Wünsche und Sehnsüchte an: ewige Liebe und Zuneigung, ein Ende der Einsamkeit, eine neue Form der Erleichterung, Befreiung von der Angst vor dem Tod. Anstelle von Hymnenformeln bedient sich Schwester Irene, vielleicht unbeabsichtigt, der damals modischen Folk- und Psychedelic-Musik, um eine Predigt zu halten, die sich wie Liebesbriefe an eine göttliche Präsenz liest und über jede formale Religion hinaus zur Seele spricht. ,Fire of God's Love" ist ein inspirierendes Archiv früher elektronischer Experimente zwischen zwei befreundeten Frauen und Mystikerinnen, eine Dokumentation ihrer göttlichen Energie, die auf disziplinierte Weise kanalisiert wurde. Bei seiner Erstveröffentlichung war es weder ein durchschlagender Erfolg noch ein Misserfolg, sondern wurde vor allem mit Neugierde aufgenommen. Die beiden haben nie wieder gemeinsam Musik gemacht, und in den 50 Jahren seitdem zieht ihre einmalige Zusammenarbeit weiterhin Zuhörer an, die sie in Plattenläden entdecken (sei es die Originalpressung von Phillips oder die klanglich überlegene Neuauflage von 1976 bei Alba House Communications) oder eher über YouTube, als zufällig entdeckter und heiß diskutierter Kultklassiker. Heute lebt Schwester Irene in Sydney, Australien, und freut sich, dass ein neues Publikum in ihrer Musik mit Schwester Marimil einen Sinn findet. Ihre Geschichte ist ein Beweis dafür, dass man nicht viel braucht, um ein visionäres, zeitloses Album zu schaffen: ein Tonbandgerät, Freundschaft und ,The Fire of God's Love", um den Weg in die Zukunft zu ebnen. Das kann ein spiritueller Freund sein oder ein irdischer Begleiter direkt neben einem. Sister Irene O'Connors ,Fire of God's Love" wird am 14. Neon green vinyl, limited to 300 copies. REPRESS. Greenferno is the second studio album by the Polish stoner doom band Belzebong. Recorded in early 2015 and the first release to feature second drummer Hexy Dude. Belzebong are a stoner metal band from Kielce, Poland. Since the band's formation in 2008 they currently have three albums under their belt and have toured Europe on multiple occasions. Along with their weed-themed instrumental doom the band is best known for their "Dude" pseudonyms, keeping their faces obscured whether by hair or fog and tongue-in-cheek nature to their music as implicated in many interviews. All of their music to date, barring samples, is instrumental.

Ihr neuestes Werk erscheint als Doppel-10inch Vinyl und ist zum einem ein "Kleiner Vorgeschmack" auf das nächste Album mit drei neuen Songs: "Widerstand ist sinnlos - Asi Elixier" ist ein Thrash Metal-Hardcore Brett in bester Tankard-Manier! Jede Menge Spaß und Mitgröhlgarantie bietet "Genauso soll es auch sein" um dann dem alten Haudegen "Chuck Norris" mit reichlich Mötörhead-Charme, RocknRoll und Trompeten ein kleines Ständchen zu singen! Drei Volltreffer, die es in sich haben! Erstmalig überhaupt auf Vinyl erhältlich: "Blue Collar Sons", das zweite Album der schwedischen Streetpunker "City Saints"! 2012 gegründet machten sich die Ex-Mitglieder von Perkele und Chillihounds mit ihrer neuen Band schnell einen Namen in der Streetpunk/Oi-Szene mit ihrem explosiven Mix aus High-Energy-Punkrock, Oi! und von Bands wie Mötley Crew inspirierten R'N'R-Touch. Ihr Debüt "Kicking ass for the working class" ist mittlerweile zurecht ein Klassiker. Der nur ein Jahr später veröffentlichte Nachfolger "Blue Collar Sons" bewies mit Songs wie "Hooligan", "Punk, Rock & Oi!" oder "Working Class Rockers", dass die Göteburger ein besonderes Händchen für explosive Rough'n'Tough Hymnen haben, die sofort zünden! "The (City) Saints come marching in" war und ist kein leeres Versprechen! Nach mittlerweile 6 veröffentlichten Alben und ihrem erst vor ein paar Monaten veröffentlichten letztem Werk "EXPLOSIV!" darf man die City Saints getrost zu eine der großartigsten, schwedischen Streetpunk'n'Roll Bands bezeichnen! "Blue Collar Sons" erscheint limitiert auf classic black und multicoloured (clear w/ smokey dark blue) Vinyl!

Das Weihnachtsalbum von Bright Eyes beginnt mit einer von Klavier, Flöte, Ambient-Geräuschen und Sägeinstrumenten getriebenen Version von "Away in a Manger" und hilft dabei, Gelegenheits-Weihnachtsmusikliebhaber auszusortieren. Die gläubigsten Jünger von Conor Oberst hatten bereits 2002 mit der ursprünglichen Saddle Creek-Veröffentlichung von "A Christmas Album" gelernt, dass die Wärme der Weihnachtszeit nur noch von ihrem Potential an Melancholie übertrumpft wird. Oberst und eine kleine Armee von Freunden in seinem Haus jamborieren durch Weihnachtsklassiker wie "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" und "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem". Festtagsstimmung, wenn sie mit Obersts Markenzeichen, dem Zittern in der Stimme, vorgetragen wird, klingt eher wie ein Klagelied als wie eine Hymne der kirchlichen Freude. Die zerbrechliche, hausbackene, und etwas scheuklappenartige Stimmung, die das Album durchdringt entspricht, sowohl seltsam als auch befriedigend, wahrscheinlich mehr dem wahren Geist der Jahreszeit.

Since their debut, The Frail Tide in 2007, Australian Progressive Death Metal powerhouse BE‘LAKOR has made a huge impact on the international metal scene, turning heads with their technical-driven yet melodic songwriting. Now, almost 15 years later, the legendary five-piece returns with their new album Coherence (out October 29 via Napalm Records), proving themselves to be on top of their game with their most ambitious project yet! Eight tracks on Coherence display BE’LAKOR’s impressive spectrum of musical abilities, ranging from 12-minute-long journeys on “Much More Was Lost” to the atmospheric, fully instrumental “Sweep of Days”. Coherence is full of details that reveal more and more with every listen of the album: BE’LAKOR are not afraid to focus on extensive, cohesive songwriting while still managing to keep the listener on their toes.!

An extremely rare Northern Soul 45 RPM single originally released in 1965 on the Holly label, Billy Arnell And The Sparkles "Tough Girl" was the product of two childhood friends that lived less than a block apart in suburban Fairlawn, New Jersey in the early 1960s - Billy Smith and Lou Hemsey.

Billy played guitar and sang; Lou played guitar and wrote songs, so they decided to form a band. They added friends Eddie Hoffman on organ and Jack Gullone on drums and began playing lots of gigs locally as Little Willie & The Sparkles. They were young, ambitious, and imagined themselves as the next Beatles. By a stroke of fate, they met Joe Martin of Apex-Martin Distributors in Newark, NJ, who caught the band's live show and was duly impressed. That meeting led to the recording session for the "Tough Girl" single. When they recorded the first version of the song, the producer wasn't happy, nor was Joe Martin - so he fired that producer and brought in the young, up and coming producer, George Kerr. Kerr didn't care much for the band, so they redid the entire thing without Hoffman and Guilone - with just Billy singing and Lou playing guitar.

The pair of old friends were buoyed by session aces Eric Gale on guitar, Bernard Purdie on drums, Bobbie Banks on organ, as well as a bass player whose name has been lost to time. In addition to those changes, they used the studio horn section that Hemsey arranged for, plus two trumpets, two saxes and two vibes players. The resulting single was an infectious amalgamation of rock and soul. Billy changed his surname to Arnell for the 45 release (because he thought it sounded more "show-biz") and the rest is pop history. Arnell later started a record company (Fire Sign Records) and purchased a recording studio (112 Greene Street Recording) in the trendy SoHo section of Manhattan with Steve Loeb.

As for the rest of The Sparkles, Hoffman became a teacher somewhere on Long Island, Guilone graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Massachusetts and ended up living in Northern New Jersey. Hemsey became a well-known recording engineer, composer (Lou was the one who wrote "Tough Girl"), guitarist, arranger, orchestrator, editor, film director and producer for records and commercials.

We don't know who Cosmic Slide is or are, and this appears to be their debut release. It comes on the fledgling Trueschool Ltd, and is a dead good tune. 'Acid Thunder' pairs a poised bassline with some aching chords and subtle sci-fi melodies with hip-swinging claps and a playful groove that's cool but reserved. It's perfect for warming up or bringing things back down and a gorgeous vocal is the perfectly soulful icing on the cake. An instrumental is included too, and both tunes make us keen to hear more from Cosmic Slide.

Dale Tallbert And The Dimensionals' rare but classic LP None But The Righteous hides in plain sight as one of those gospel-soul obscurities. Issued without fanfare, it contains only a handful of songs, but both 'None But The Righteous' and 'Blessed' stand out as deeply worked grooves, built with the same finesse as contemporaneous modern soul but anchored in devotional spirit. The record never broke into wider circulation, leaving collectors to hunt it down like thought-to-be-extinct game. Spanish producer Larsson delivers a deep and hypnotic 4-tracker for Fuxbau Records, marking his vinyl debut on the label. Written in the rural village where Larsson grew up, the EP carries a sense of groundedness and clarity. Created in his parents' home, surrounded by nature and far from urban distraction, the tracks reflect a setting where ideas unfold organically. Lui Mafuta presents This Ain’t Jazz, a boundary-pushing new EP that fuses live musicianship with electronic sensibility— an exploration of jazz influence through a deeply personal and collaborative lens. The release is available on digital platforms and as a limited vinyl edition. At the heart of This Ain’t Jazz is a long-gestating idea: to bridge electronic music with an organic, band-oriented aesthetic. Lui Mafuta reunited with four longtime friends and collaborators—Paul Janoschka, Felix Roos, Jonas Esser, and Benedikt Jäckle— who all studied music together in Mannheim before
scattering across the globe. Under the loose collective name Weiller, they came together once again to create a sound that lives between genres.

The EP is a globe-spanning production. Piano was recorded on Paul Janoschka’s Steinway in his Frankfurt apartment; trumpet and clarinet were tracked in a rural French studio with Felix Roos; drums came from New York via Jonas Esser; and saxophone was laid down in Lui’s own studio in Mannheim alongside Benedikt Jäckle. All elements were finally assembled and shaped into a cohesive vision back in Mannheim. “There’s less synth work on this one than usual,” Lui says. “Most of the textures come from the instruments themselves and a lot of sample mangling.
I wanted it to feel raw, human, and alive.” Despite its title, This Ain’t Jazz is a love letter to jazz’s influence. “I called it that just to be safe,” Lui jokes. “It isn’t jazz—but it’s coming from that space.” The project also serves as a reconnection to his roots: two of the fourfeatured musicians are teenage friends from his earliest days making music.

Tripper’s second trip is now ready to shuffle, once again two big rolling house cuts, one x side, crafted by Matteo Floris.

Clubbing oriented as per usual, Matteo keeps blending some acid and old school vibrations on top of his characteristic stripped-down grooves serving a warm and uplifting house course.

The first time Ride The Lightning was performed in its entirety and "Escape" was played on stage for the first time ever. This was the first of two shows at Orion Music + More, a festival created by Metallica themselves.

Originally released in 1981, Mr. Circle’s Thi Nam should really have been recognised decades ago as a jazz dance classic. A beautiful example of European jazz fusion at its most sophisticated and optimistic, the album is immersed in the sonics and rhythms of pan-Latin fusion and Brazilian samba, but with one foot in the upful jazz fusion exemplified by Roy Ayers or the Mighty Ryeders.
Taking inspiration from Ursula Dudziak, Flora Purim, and Norma Winstone, singer Monika Linges uses the crystalline tone of her voice as an instrument within the ensemble. The LP is built around the interaction of her vocalising with bandleader Mikesch van Grümmer’s keyboard versatility, all underpinned by the surging Brazilian rhythms laid down by drummer Gerd Breuer and percussionist Ponda O’Bryan.
The result is a unique set of sunlit, Brazilian-inspired jazz fusion. Aimed squarely at the feet throughout, the album kicks off with a double whammy: the funky title track, followed by. the percussion-rich Juntos. The long form Suka begins with a shimmering intro before taking flight halfway through into an urgent jazz samba with Linges’ vocals to the fore. Featuring the vocals of Bill Ramsay, Tides is another driving jazz-dancer with a Brazilian twist, while the summery, propulsive Schoch-Schach features virtuosic interplay between Linges and alto saxophone.

This double 12” LP contains the two inaugural EPs from emerging dream-pop trio Night Tapes. Recorded between 2018-2020 in a small house in South London, this record was inspired by their own experiences of finding peace in a sleepless city. Raw and primal Techno on the run!

A Bristol x Paris link-up between SSSLIP and Bamao Yendé delivers with BP028. A label debut for both artists on the BPR original series. All killer no filler ear worms from across the spectrum. “On The Dial” and vinyl only cut “Don Plz” offer something for those sillier hours, while “Brek Stance” and “Kalypso” host the artists' deeper servings. A balanced collection of functional low end tools for the dance.

Bristol-based producer SSSLIP, known for their experimental club hybrid productions and a growing back catalogue of strong outings on No dice, ec2a and their own imprint SSS Audio. Sharing the EP with Parisian DJ and producer, Bamao Yendé, head of Boukan Records, blending inspirations through garage, broken beat, and Kuduro.

Teakup is Lauri Reponen, the Columbus, Ohio DJ, producer and torch-bearer for the city’s proud Techno heritage. Following in the footsteps of Columbus originators, Titonton Duvanté, Archetype and Todd Sines, Teakup has spent the past decade forging a sound of his own via a genre alchemy that embraces genres past and present. Hardcore’s staccato samples and chopped breakbeats, UKG’s crunchy triplet hi hats and mellifluous House melodies combine in novel forms. Titonton’s wonky Tech House takes, Todd Sines’ stripped minimalism and Archetype’s broken rhythmic exploration are more key ingredients in the Teakup stew. This recipe has cooked up a massive cache of unreleased tunes as well as previous 12”s on is / was, Residual, Shut Off Notice and Lauri’s recently-minted TKP imprint.

Compiled from over 200 demos, Signal 23 has Lauri flexing a new level of genre-mastery. The title track explores Spiral Tribe’s ripping, psychedelic Freetekno. ‘Valve’ is cutting-edge rhythm hypnotism. ‘Felopzd’ loops into ecstatic trippy crescendo and ‘Pad Thai Mystic’ takes you on the spiritual voyage of late-night food delivery in middle America. Four modes, four hitters – to warm floors, open hearts or split psyches.

The musical cream of the crop (MFSB / The Salsoul Orchestra) behind the soulful Sound of Philadelphia - Earl Young (drums), Ron Baker (bass), Norman Harris (guitar), Lenny Pakula (organ), Larry Washington (percussion), Vince Montana, Jr. (vibes) - joined forces with powerhouse vocalists David Simmons, Joe Freeman, Ron Tyson and Bobby Love at Philadelphia's historic Virtue Studios in 1982 to record some of the genre's biggest hits. This small, but sensational set of lush recordings, which were mixed at Alpha Studios - ensuring that every note and nuance was captured with the highest fidelity, recently caught the attention of the famed producer and remixer Eric Kupper. Kupper cut his teeth working as a keyboardist and guitarist for such producer/remixers as David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Arthur Baker, Peter auhofer, and Richie Jones to name a few. Since 1986, he has performed on, remixed, and/or produced over 1400 records for artists spanning all contemporary musical genres. Presented here is "The Love I Lost"

On the flip, Toronto veterans Cosmic JD and Aaron Santos deliver a lush, ethereal remix of “Lost in Tres Leches” under their ‘Los Primos’ alias, countering the original’s trippy minimalism with analogue warmth.
