Co-written with Billy as a declaration of Pride, Dimitri adds his signature stylish flare onto the suitably theatrical original. Split into two parts, Pt. I on the A-Side keeps Billy’s unmistakable vocal at centre stage, with funk-fuelled organ chords and rich keys bringing Dimitri’s Sound Of Paris. On the flip, Pt. II is a more stripped back version, allowing the classic disco instrumentals to really shine, as a previously unheard and powerful spoken-word vocal from Billy narrates along with improvised vocals taken from the studio recordings. Expertly crafted and brimming with emotion, the joyful message of ‘Finally Ready’ rings true through Billy’s lyrics on both mixes, as Dimitri From Paris brings a new dimension to this dancefloor essential.

Horse Meat Disco unveil the latest preview of their forthcoming album ‘Love & Dancing’ with ‘Message To The People’, featuring one of the main co-artists on the LP, Amy Douglas, alongside soul trio Dames Brown. A record that started as an adaptation of the Shirley Caesar original, recorded in the studio with the Dames; Horse Meat Disco and Luke Solomon then headed to Amy’s native Brooklyn, where she wrote her verses sat at the piano for this sublime disco jam. This 12” delivery features remixes from some of the genre’s most revered artists, each turning their hand at this labour of love. Up first, unrefuted master of the edit Danny Krivit delivers a blissful, club-friendly extended version, making full use of the longer playtime with an elegant, journey-like mix. The Key-A-Pella follows, an essential DJ tool that allows Amy and Dames Brown’s vocals to really shine. The funk-fuelled Michelle Mix kicks off the B-Side, an empowering, uplifting narration provided by a sample taken from none other than former First Lady Michelle Obama, inspired by Chicago legend Kelly G.’s creative sampling on his Deeper Message Groove mix, the track that closes out the release. Kelly’s mix is a soulful, grooving affair with dreamy keys you can’t help but move to.

Fulfilling the Glitterbox philosophy by crafting great songs the old school way with analogue and weird electronic gadgetry, Qwestlife's 'Give Me A Minute' appeared first on Glitterbox's Disco Revenge compilation and now graces vinyl for disco connoisseurs everywhere. Featuring the vocals of a frequent Yam Who collaborator, soul diva Jacqui George, 'Give Me A Minute' is an instant party anthem. Disco-fuelled synths and strings plus live sax, trumpet, guitars and bass give a glorious saturated dancefloor vibe rolled into one by sticky hooks and a timeless catchy chorus. Accompanied by the Dubbed Out Version, plus an Accapella and Bonus Beats, this sweet vinyl release provides all the good stuff that Qwestlife have to offer.

Following the tragic passing of Philippe Zdar last summer, Ed Banger and Glitterbox Recordings have come together to release the final collaborative Cassius production, with the blessing of Hubert Boombass and Philippe’s family. This special vinyl only release features their remix of Fiorious’ powerful call-to-resistance anthem ‘I’m Not Defeated’, a record that captures the energy of historical protest songs, and inspired remixes from Honey Dijon and Catz ‘N Dogz with critical acclaim. The B-side has been specially etched, and the release will be limited to just 2000 pressings, making this a true collector’s item. Described by Fiorious as “an inspiring eight-minute tour de force and the most bittersweet gift to all of us,” all profits from the 12” will be donated to Rainbow Railroad, a Canadian charity working to help the LGBTQ+ community escape persecution and violence.

Speaking of the record, Ed Banger founder Pedro Winter said “Zdar played me the remix while we were heading to the last gig we would ever played together. He knew he and Boombass had delivered a banging remix. The original song was already one of the strongest of the year and adding Cassius’ powerful groove, hypnotic drums and these unifying chords would make this remix an instant classic.”

Sticks & Stonez make their debut release on Glitterbox Recordings with the stunning 'You're My', featuring rising star Liv East on vocals. This special 7' vinyl release illustrates the East London duo's capability as producers, taking influence from modern house and disco, the combination of the instrumental horns, slick production and East's smooth vocal makes for a blissed-out record that transports you to hazy summer days. The stripped-back instrumental version also features on the release, offering an insight into how the carefully curated track balances its musical elements.

Following the 7' revisiting Candi Staton's much-loved gospel anthem, this Glitterbox Recordings 12' features four diverse remixes of 'Hallelujah Anyway', three of which are new to vinyl. Kicking off with Larse's Vocal mix, touching deeper territory with a mid-tempo house rendition, Dr Packer's indulgent piano-littered mix is next, picking up the energy and re-introducing the disco beat. Italian producer Moplen delivers a 90s-influenced Classic Club Vibe mix, maximising Candi's uplifting vocal. Finally is FK's Director's Cut Signature Praise 12' Edit, a Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper production which is available here on vinyl for the very first time. Picking up the pace with soaring synths and a grooving beat, the mix takes the anthem firmly back to the dancefloor, compelled by the original song's call for jubilation.
