On this six tracker Grusane locks in and demonstrates an important facet of the Chicago sound that is often overlooked with a nod to the infamous "Reactor" sound pioneered by DJ RUSH. A rare style mostly shunned by jocks (and producers) on the modern floor, this record is full of straight up circle pit rx-7 programmed madness, chaos of the highest order...This is for the ones who know, the ones who have been obsessed, and the ones who need to know...this record sets it all off. Another massive offering from the one and only Mick Harris, continuing on in his Culvert Dubs Sessions experimentations with a new 2xlp. Once again Mick delves deep into the shadow realm of slow beat, psychedelic heavily textured, grinding dub techno. NYC's Sweater on Polo follows up his acclaimed L.I.E.S. 12 inch from 2023 with debut full length double LP, "Almighty Grand Essence" This is pure to form 1985-1988 Chicago House worship, and while many have attempted to recreate this sound, most fail to deliver with correct reverence. Names like Saunders, Mixx, Virgo Four, undoubtedly appear in this conversation with Sweater on Polo taking cues and transforming the vintage sound into re-imagined dancefloor classics. Raw but clean, psychedelic but functional...this nine track record can move the crowd in all the right ways, with the lush deepness of "The Creation" to the nu-wave-house hybrid of "Proto Wave" or BMX beat track closer Psychotic Seance, its rare to find a young producer tapping into the vaults in such a focused, effective manner. New collaborative project out of Chicago from "DuKe" and The Stranger!

Two sided-12 inch housed in a full picture sleeve, once again we hear and see the scope of the broad range of what is, and can be "dance music" through the adventurous production of DuKe & The Stranger.

Two eight minute versions alternating in time space and rhythm..this is the future, past and present wrapped into one from the visionaries.

Detroit-born artist, Jalen Elk Star unveils his debut LP, ESIN on L.I.E.S. Known in certain circles as filmmaker, music producer, playwright, and collagist, Jalen often draws from controversial themes to craft modern avant-garde works redefining the way art is seen in today’s chaotic universe. After years working on diverse projects under various aliases, his shift to a more liberated creative process under this new moniker has allowed his vision to reach a broader audience, continuing the path with the music on this new lp.

ESIN, a 13-track sonic collage, builds on his past, blending raps, noise, ambience, samplers, drum machines and synths into a raw, vibrant narrative. This work traces Jalen’s journey between his cities, Detroit and Chicago, offering a profound glimpse into his dynamic, limitless world of sound and vision. Something along the lines of the dusty crunched out vapors of the 2010s getting in a car crash with the abstractions of Rammellzee. A headtrip for the headphones.

The Birmingham master, Mick Harris, arrives with his first vinyl installment of his "Culvert Dub Sessions" series. Mick has taken to the studio desk with his live hands on mixing approach and conjured up 8 tracks of classic, deep, slow rolling dub techno in the traditions of the greats. Think heavy nautical dub outs, windswept delays, low ends to make you seasick, high freqs cutting through the scenery, this is Harris at his finest. No holds barred, sincere electronics from the gut in pure form. A perfect soundtrack for a chilly fall sunset on the river bank.

Long in the making, Compton's own AshtreJinkins debuts on L.I.E.S. with the seven track Left 2 Rot lp. The seasoned producer delivers an amalgamation of reimagined electronic styles going from stripped back

Terrance Dixon-esce minimal techno psychedelia to classic 2013 L.I.E.S. hybrid cuts sitting in the hazy grey area between gnarled house and techno. An ode to the City of Lost Angels from where he hails, this record is a perfect backdrop for the dystopian ruins the city has become over the last years. Stark, gut wrenching cuts that will leave you for dead as the title suggests.

Hailing from Spain, prolific producer Orion Agassi is known in certain circles as a house music authority. As he has been on our radar for many years we finally connected for a six track lp of straight up beat tracks for the club. Leaning heavily on the heyday of WBMX mixshows Agassi takes the razor to classic house breaks and acapellas with a specifically Latin feel turning them upside down. Total club gear for classic house enthusiasts and working djs. Not to be missed!

Jorge Velez returns to L.I.E.S. with his first effort since 2012's Hassan lp. Through this six track lp we see the ultra versatile Velez weave seamlessly through numerous strains of electronics.
From menacing drones to EBM influenced floor tracks to Sakamoto-esque melodic experiments, he creates an atmosphere equally suitable for home listening or adventurous club play. All of this very much reminding us of the days when Mute, Factory, Cherry Red, or Fetish Records were at their best.

Blinding double pack of heavily old school influenced bleep, direct from the depths of England by prolific young producer, Tom Carruthers. These are heavily sample based mpc productions that harken to the carefree days when the pills were pure and the music was fresh and never stopped. When house was techno and techno was house, this long player takes the best elements from say Chill Records, early-Warp and the best Nu-Groove creating timeless dance tracks made for the warehouse dj. Essential stuff here. TIP!

After her debut on Mannequin in 2019, Dissemblance now arrives on L.I.E.S. with her second full length of sombre, cold wave and emotional bedroom pop infused songs. This time around we hear the Parisen artist add a new arsenal of instrumentation to her repertoire, incorporating live drumming and a wide array of synthetic instrumentation on top of her drum computers providing a backdrop to showcase her stark vocal performances throughout the album.

Meticulously constructed, this record displays the full range of Dissemblance's musical dynamics as she pulls the listener into her universe where dreams and reality tread a thin line, one blurring into the next with no beginning nor end. From the plodding opener "Mercure" where tortured voices rise from a bed of pulsing synth tones, to the tribal drumming dreamscape conjuring rhythms of "Centauresse" or heart wrenching album closer "Bon Voyage" with its ghostly 1950s oldies arrangement and pop feel, Dissemblance expertly brings together a diverse group of styles and sounds from different areas of the electronic spectrum making them her own.

An extremely unique and strong display of modern minimal synth pop that pulls equally from the past whilst propelling towards the future. Limited to 300 copies worldwide.

Croatia's Fiume delivers a full length eight track lp for L.I.E.S., following his cult 2019 Bunker Records release.

Jasmin Mahmić, (who is also known for his Le Chocolat Noir project) returns with his absolute blackened industrial onslaught straight from the depths of the Balkans. Fiume takes us into a netherworld of short circuited electronics, scrap yard soundscapes and foreboding, stark ,straight from your worst nightmare vocals. Barren wastelands, tropical depression, vast nothingness of the modern age, pillaged republics and metropolis' that have gone wrong, this is world downfall music. Let your own irrelevance stare you down in the mirror, minutes crawl like days, horror of life goes on. These are the sounds in your head, try to claw your way out. Recommended!

Cardinal & Nun returns to L.I.E.S. now with his debut lp, 8 songs of full on rotten stripped back, fuzzed out, synth punk mayhem. Straight to the head beautifully thrashing anthems, Cardinal & Nun goes in with catchy basslines, dissonant guitar chop ups, and vocals that creep from the shadows throughout the affair. Don't gas out though, there are some somber cuts on the b-side's "Whats Goin On Tonite?", "Pandemonium" and "Day After Day". A true gem in the French scene, now get in the pit and slamjack! Recommended.
