With this Ep for Mother Tongue Gerald Mitchell really shows what Soul is all about. The first Los Hermanos Ep on vinyl in over a decade brings it back to Church and then some! From the Gospel tones of the dancefloor smasher 'Another Day', to the electric techno-jazz of 'Binary Funk Infusion' featuring Bob Rogue think of Herbie's Dedication meeting Axis and finally closing and melting with 'Let Lot Live' featuring the incredible voice of Billy Love...it was definitely worth the wait.

"Fucked Up formed in 2001 in Toronto, Canada. Meeting each other through the local diy hardcore punk scene they developed a cult following early on which blossomed into a long career of releasing genre expanding music.

""Another Day"" is their 7th full length album, they have released over 60 7” singles, countless hours of open-format guitar music, and toured consistently all over the world since early in their career.

Their first three LPs, “Hidden World,” “the chemistry of common life,” and “David Comes to Life” have all been canonised as classic, critically acclaimed, genre defining efforts. The three to follow, “Glass Boys,” “Dose Your Dreams,” and “One Day” have challenged expectations in scope, style, and delivery, the latter which was written and recorded within the span of 24 hours.

Alongside their LPs, the band have been releasing their more experimental “Zodiac” series since 2006. Fucked Up have released 9 12”s of compositional, genre-less, long format songs (20mins plus) corresponding to the Chinese Zodiac, diving ever deeper into narrative forms including a 4 act opera (year of the horse), a musical palindrome (“onno”).

Fucked Up has toured the world extensively and under extraordinary circumstances – a vegetable oil powered school bus through the mountains of the American West Coast, a literal slow boat to China across the sea of Japan, and of course a humble van on any highway that will have them – and bring the same idiosyncrasy to the stage that they do to their records."

Two supreme House Grooves from the world renowned “Maestro” of the dancefloor in the continuing build-up to the Louie Vega “Expansions In The NYC” album release. With “Another Day In My Life” Louie Vega incorporates elements of the classic jam “Never Had A Love So Good” by Charles Johnson (fully cleared and licensed from the legendary Henry Stone Music Company), and creates a driving and infectious soul-infused club anthem that ruled the DJ download platforms prior to its vinyl release. On the AA side, Louie works with his long time collaborator Axel Tosca as well as legendary Chicago DJ / Vocalist Mike Dunn to create his own very soulful and New York flavored interpretation of the renowned 1999 Deep Burnt song by Pepe Bradock, done of course with Pepe Bradocks blessings and appreciation.

Part Time Signals is the new project formed by Sock vocalist and guitarist Jacob Church. The band came together initially by taking demo ideas written by Jacob. When introduced to a live band setting they grew into the form they take on this record. Part Time Signals features the talents of Sam Barnes (bass), Gavin Jenkins (drums) and Michael Blanchfield (keys).
All songs on the album were tracked one hot day in August 2022 at Chapter Arts Centre Cardiff, followed by a few days recording additional overdubs. The album was mixed by Sam Barnes and mastered by Eddie Al-Shakarchi.

Taken from Skinshape’s ‘Arrogance Is The Death Of Men’ album. For fans of Khruangbin, El Michels Affair, Tame Impala and Bonobo. Gentle guitars underpin Dorey’s vocals on this laid back song that brings hope to us all. Slide guitar towards the track’s close and multi layered backing gives the track a Californian sunshine feel. Returning to the sounds of ‘I Didn’t Know’ and his ‘Filoxiny’ album ‘Another Day’ is already a fan’s favourite. The b-side is a flute driven dreamy affair with Dorey’s vocals once more punctuated by guitar and a subtle but catchy drum beat. This double header 7” closes the book on Skinshape’s ‘Arrogance Is The Death Of Men’ album preparing the world for album number seven later this year.

past year, gaining praise from key publications
including Dork and Gigwise, alongside spins on
BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders) and BBC 6 Music

Malta-based stoner and grunge rock act A Broken
Design gear up for the vinyl-release of their latest
album, ‘Another Day In Hell’, via Argonauta
Records.
 The band’s much acclaimed debut album was
originally self-released in the middle of the
pandemic in October 2020, but will be now
reissued, for the first time ever, on vinyl.
 A Broken Design were formed in 2014 and feature
former band members of sludge metal
heavyweights Slit, doomsters Nomad Son and
electro rockers Kill The Action.
 With a mix of various alternative and heavy rock
influences, their 2017 debut EP ‘Halo Of Flies’
already showcased A Broken Design’s passion,
drive and skills to write catchy songs that deliver a
heavy dose of flat out grooves with a nostalgic oldschool grungy touch in a raw and rough sound.
 Their album ‘Another Day In Hell’ marks the band‘s
most mature and emotional record to date, delving
deep into a personal catharsis while the four-piece
broadens its sound to further sonic templates.

this time are Base Pilot, aka label co-owners and production
tag-team of Quantec and Birke TM. Both have form when it
comes to the craftier side of house and it shows here with
two tasty treats; Another Day, a cultured and organic cut that
teases and tempts with a deliciously infectious groove, while
Basement 97 is a heady brew of classic deep house infused
with a hefty pinch of Base Pilot §avourings.

Whether offering up dreamy, hypnotic deep house tracks or soft downbeats, Jenifa Mayanja's work has always tended towards the melancholic fields and cinematic soundscapes. Jenifa sets the bar always high, also in terms of quality and depth. She again delivers 5 extraordinary tracks, a mixture of elongated chords, playful smooth melodies and synth games, gentle new age jazz keys, all what your open minded heart can welcome.
