Natural Sciences Recs started in 2015 before mutating into the Embryo magazine series. Flesh Renewed marks ten years of the label with the fifth issue of Embryo. A light into the gutter of the fringe underground, through new tracks from the labels catalogue, 100 pages of interviews by labels and artists kicking against the grain and ties forged from the 80’s tape network. Recorded on the edge of Berlin in a semi-deserted building complex formerly used by the East German Sociality party, André Uhl's debut on the label taps into the spectral frequencies of the space and the ritual practices of recording.

Created in isolation amongst this decaying structure and surrounded by lakes, dense forestry and the sounds of boars and unknown wildlife outside, Every Step Causes a Crack is a title that reflects Andrés connection to the environment around him and the death or glory stance of the artist, with field recordings, electric doom synthesis and lurching drum tracks temporarily fracturing the darkness before being pulled back through the void.

Entombed between the approaching war machine, Berlin's squat metal underground and the corrosive electronics broadcast from the Hague's bunker network, Chaosy's "Bad Magic" marks his first on the label, with tracks pulled together from equipment left behind in Ukraine and resurrected in makeshift studios while on the road.

Across the LP's eight tracks, the record dials into this modern day horror and occult activity from throughout the ages, flipping between cave dwelling techno, breakbeat, gnarled Ukrainian rap and wails found between the gaps in the machine. A full blown sonic assault into the belly of the beast.

Boris Barksdale's first full length on the label is the final joyride of the human mind. Over two sides of screwed proto-beat, street electronics and twisted metal ambiance, Mind Over Matter picks apart the medias domination of the world we live in, drawing on internet advertising campaigns and social commentary to show you how messed up things have really become.

The record builds on from Boris' inclusion in Natural Sciences' Future Works & Age in Decline compilation series.

Age in Decline marks the 50th release and 5th year in operation from Manchester based label, Natural Sciences: a v/a comp of new tracks from the contemporary underground alongside choice cuts pulled from the labels annual Future Works series available on vinyl for the first time. Mars89 titles his first release Natural Sciences after a year already defined by bacterial outbreaks, drone assassinations and the rise of the right. Across four tracks which range from industrial quom to leftfield electronics, Mars89 supplies the goods to live the nightmare.

Black Helicopters is Agnarkea (Keaton Transue); a 20 year old producer from Richmond, Virginia, whose debut album is forthcoming on Manchester-based label, Natural Sciences.

Originating out of the WaistDeep Clique (a cell of emerging hip-hop crews operating out of the Southern United States) and recorded on budget equipment, across it's near two hours and extended 23 tracks, the project seeks to un-package homegrown 'conspiracy theories' (MK Ultra, Black Helicopters, The Deep State, Black Sun, Waco Texas) and use this web of extended source material to make sense of day-to-day life in Trump's America, police oppression of black neighbourhoods and the systematic suppression of mind-enhancing drugs.

From behind a wall of public discourse, focus groups and corporate memos, Strahinja Arbutina moves out onto the streets, with four cuts of Croatian electronics pulled from man hunt techno, hood funk and industrial waves.

'White Punks on E' is the taste of bike chains rubbing against black leather. Heavy cast iron forged across studs and hot-wired organs. The howls from blazed skull hordes jacked up to distortion engines broadcasting into neglected cellar units.

It's shrill echoes from the parking lot carried along the financial district, overturning lobotomised business lunches, attache cases and $50 slick-backs. Mono-Enzyme 307 debuts on the main Natural Sciences label with 'Adventures in Cryosleep'; a record of corrosive space sludge dipping between deep acid trajectories, twisted cyber funk, narco new beat, android warehouse movements, Detroit machine tyranny and musicalities often referred to as "techno". We present the first phase in the mutation.

Antonio debuts on NS with an E.P of muscular dungeon boogie straight from Italy's golden coast via the dank basements of Frankfurt.Drawing on the metallic throbs of his adopted German hometown, Antonio pushes the machines to breaking point, allowing primitive techno flourishes, crushing breakdowns and dopamine-draining house excursions to be fed straight into the back of a tape deck.
