Mark Broom and CJ Baker team up as Kingpin Cartel on Rekids for the The ‘Long Dark Soul Of The Night’ EP

Kingpin Cartel, Mark Broom and CJ Baker’s joint House alias debuts on Rekids this November with the ‘Long Dark Soul Of The Night’ four-tracker. The EP starts with the title track, a playful, funk-fuelled cut with squelchy licks and soulful keys. Next, Kingpin Cartel’s ‘Moonrise’ leads with strong percussion that lay underneath a smooth swinging piano riff. ‘You Are’ then dives deep, perfectly blending emotive synth chords with an undeniably weighty house beat before ‘Shakedown’ closes the ‘Long Dark Soul Of The Night’ EP with a quirky synth line and an infectious bassline that firmly keeps it old-school.

Mark Broom is a UK dance music legend with releases on labels like Warp, M-Plant, and Hardgroove. He returns to Rekids as one of its core artists, joining CJ Baker, a producer known for EPs on Innervisions, Emissions Lo-Fi, Well Rounded, and many more. Founded in 2005, their Kingpin Cartel alias has released on Nic Fanciuli’s Saved Records as well as Mark Broom’s Rewired, Pure Plastic, and Beardman imprints, now landing on Radio Slave’s flagship label with the ‘Long Dark Soul Of The Night’ EP.

To celebrate reaching its 50th Anniversary, electro pioneers Kraftwerk have announced three new editions of their landmark 1975 album Radio-Activity for release on 15 May 2026. Using the original 16-track master tapes, Kraftwerk founder Ralf Hütter with engineer Fritz Hilpert have created a brand-new Dolby Atmos Mix which takes Kraftwerk’s first all-electronic album and brings vivid new shading, forensic detail and richly layered cinematic depth to the most boldly experimental album in the Kraftwerk catalogue.



The new Dolby Atmos Mix is available as a Blu-ray audio disc and digital release, and the stereo album is pressed as a stunning vinyl picture disc featuring updated artwork.

Manuel Darquart returns to WOLF with this season’s must-have EP, Dream House Factory Vol. 1. Following his sublime 2023 release, The Del Sol EP, and a standout appearance on Permanent Vacation Records, he once again delivers a collection rich in Italo house influences, all filtered through his unmistakable signature style.

Seamlessly blending house, Italo and acid flourishes, Manuel Darquart continues to showcase why he’s a master of that sun-soaked Balearic sound. There’s a strong sense of nostalgia throughout, yet it’s balanced with a sharp, contemporary edge.

A2 - Four films?? That’s about as insane as this edit; a swaggering, mop-topped and dubbed-out groover boasting a ph-fat flamenco freakout at its klymaxxx. Would Harvey play it? Dunno, but the bootleg variety definitely already does.

B1 - Shades of Rimini as the pianos set over another rubbery bassline and the Adriatic Sea arpeggiates its ocean spray all over the gaffe. If this ain’t heaven, we’re not sure what is.

On this six tracker Grusane locks in and demonstrates an important facet of the Chicago sound that is often overlooked with a nod to the infamous "Reactor" sound pioneered by DJ RUSH. Chicago legend, Green Velvet, returns to Toolroom as he locks horns with label founder Mark Knight and studio partner, James Hurr, for 'The Greatest Thing Alive'. A low slung, chunky affair that screams Miami Space terrace at 8am! Quirky, full of character and Green Velvets unmistakable vocal re-work of the classic 'Mannish Boy' from Muddy Waters pushes this record into a really special place. Green Velvet debuted on the label back in 2015 alongside Technasia with 'Suga', a record that went onto to be an overall Beatport #1 and remained as their highest selling track for many years that followed, the track also sits on an impressive 9m streams. On the flipside, head honcho Mark Knight, returns with studio cohort and DJs favourite James Hurr, as they take on one of House music's all-time classic records; 'Lady (Hear Me Tonight)'. No messing around, Mark and James offer up an alternative take to this stone cold classic, bringing the infectious vocal and iconic guitar riff to the forefront, mixing into a signature Mark Knight club heavy beat. Memorial Home are the founders of the independent label Rapid Eye Movement, which has seen a breadth of incredible EPs riding the balance between experimental Techno and introspective electronica. They first met by random chance in their newly adopted home of Barcelona, Spain. This unexpected encounter quickly developed into a full-fledged musical kinship through their shared interest in crafting cinematic, experimental techno music. Each release from the label and duo showcase their clear passion to unearthing sounds beyond the expected. With their debut LP about to drop, the future is looking certain for the duo, the label, and the changing face of modern day electronic music.

Michael Gray's monumental crossover dance hit, 'The Weekend,' originally released in 2004, is set to make a special return for its 20th Anniversary. For the first time ever, the track will be available on a limited edition coloured vinyl 7-inch, complete with the iconic original Sleeve Artwork. This commemorative release also includes previously unreleased 7-inch Version from Michael Gray himself. The 'Sultra 7' mix features live strings and an ambient feel, adding an extra layer of exclusivity for fans and collectors alike.

2026 Represss

An artist who needs no introduction, Mike Dunn returns to the legendary NYC label Nu Groove with a four-track vinyl release that brings together disparate influences from the master’s encyclopaedic knowledge of genre and style.

What results are productions that are at once timeless, a quality that can only be achieved through the lived experiences of a four-decade career. Title track ‘Git’cha House On, Baby’ is a late 80s freestyle throwback, with hard synth lines running the show, while ‘Don’t Pay Me No Mind’ is a metropolitan anthem led by a solid piano groove.

Additionally, the vinyl features two tracks from Dunn’s ‘Rock Ya Body (Deepa)’; the lead, an effortlessly cool deliverance of pure, unadulterated house, and ‘Let’cha Love Fall Down On Me’ which swells and flows with addictive ease. Elevating all four compositions are the producer’s signature vocals, immediately arresting and suitable for all genres. Dunn’s status as an innovator was earned through creating and influencing the scenes we know and love today, and this new delivery of originals further cements his status as a 100% house master.

Making a cover version of Mezzoforte’s Icelandic jazz funk classic GARDEN PARTY is not a task for the feint hearted.

Phil Hooton and fellow producer Mark Gambe pull it off with aplomb.

The duo are enjoying success with their single GARDEN OF EDEN by Phil Hooton Featuring Pete Simpson. That involved a new song being written and sung over their instrumental remake of GARDEN PARTY.

The original idea was to only release the new vocal creation but the instrumental version - featuring virtuoso playing by some of the UK’s top session musicans - was simply too good to be left on the shelf.

Only 200 copies of this one sided 7” have been manufactured.
