Jeder Song auf HOWLING GIANTs zweitem Album "Glass Future" erzählt seine eigene Geschichte. Doch auch ohne ein übergreifendes Konzept scheinen alle Storys der Amerikaner in ein und demselben Universum zu existieren. Die ausgeklügelten lyrischen Weltentwürfe der Amerikaner gehen auf ihre Liebe zu Fantasy und Science Fiction Literatur zurück. "Glass Future" könnte leicht ein Buch oder eine Graphic Novel inspirieren. Musikalisch bietet "Glass Future" eine Fortsetzung und Weiterentwicklung all jener Elemente, die bereits das Debütalbum "The Space Between Worlds" (2019) zu einem durchschlagenden Erfolg werden ließen. HOWLING GIANT lassen klassischen Metal und Hardrock dynamisch mit spacigen, Prog-lastigen Passagen, Desert und Psychedelic Metal-Momenten, Rock-Orgeln und eingängigen Hooks interagieren. Grandiose Stimmharmonien setzen ihrem Sound die Krone auf. HOWLING GIANT kommen aus Nashville, Tennessee, USA - einer legendären Musikstadt. Obwohl der Ruf der Stadt zuletzt etwas durch Fließband-Country Pop gelitten hat, bleibt Nashville ein geschichtsträchtiger Ort, an dem brillante Songwriter und virtuose Studiomusiker diverse musikalische Vermächtnisse am Leben erhalten. Aus diesem fruchtbaren Boden sprossen HOWLING GIANT als herausragendes Stoner Power Trio, das ganz bewusst die Nähe dieser Traditionen sucht. In den letzten zwei Jahren integrierte die Band ihren neuen Bassisten Sebastian Baltes, den Sohn des ehemaligen ACCEPT-Bassisten Peter Baltes, als Co-Autor. His new EP, "Nostalgic For The Future", was inspired by an experience he had during a lucid dream that evoked a paradoxical and enigmatic feeling. Also influenced by the artists of his childhood such as Daft Punk, Alan Braxe or Jestofunk, this new project is imbued with house sounds.

By using artificial intelligence in the conception of "Nostalgic for The Future", Fhin proposes an innovative vision to tackle eternal and inexhaustible themes of music: love, the meaning of our existence or the intensity of our emotions.

"BEAST MODE" - ZUM ERSTEN MAL AUF VINYL. Beast Mode ist das vierzehnte Mixtape von Future. Es erschien am 15. Januar 2015, zusammen mit Monster und 56 Nights, und wird als Teil einer "Trilogie von Mixtapes in Albumqualität" betrachtet.

"MONSTER" - ZUM ERSTEN MAL AUF VINYL. Monster ist das dreizehnte Mixtape von Future. Es wurde am 28. Oktober 2014 von Freebandz Entertainment veröffentlicht.

Rap würde nie wieder so klingen, aussehen oder sich so anfühlen ohne die Tracks des aus Atlanta stammenden Rappers, Songwriters und Produzenten Future. "DS2" war sein drittes Studioalbum und ist jetzt auf Vinyl erhältlich.

"Pluto" war das erste Album des Rappers Future, das 2012 veröffentlicht wurde. Es war ein visionäres Studioalbum, das den Rapper aus Atlanta zu einem der größten Influencer im US-Rap der 2010er Jahre machte. Das Album erreichte wenige Monate später Goldstatus und legte mit dem Hit "Turn On The Lights" und Featurings mit Drake oder Snoop Doog den Grundstein für seinen Erfolg. "Super Slimey", das am 20. Oktober 2017 veröffentlichte gemeinsame Mixtape der Rapper Future und Young Thug, ist zum ersten Mal auf Vinyl erhältlich. Darauf zu finden sind der Track "Patek Water" featuring Rapper Offset, "All da Smoke" oder auch "No Cap"."Super Slimey",

Los Caneyes was the first ever solo project from Cuban funk master Juan Pablo Torres and now Future Rootz - in collaboration with Canal Sounds and EGREM - is serving up a first-ever vinyl release of his early singles 'No Estabas No estabas Tu' and 'Oye Ven Y Baila Mi Son' on 7". These two superbly funky Afro-Cuban tracks were recorded in 1973 by this influential musical innovator. The first is a flame-hot and percussion-laden groove that is loose-limbed and sure to get those bones shaking and the second is similar - pure Latin heat for the floor.

No Future, No Past – Svart Records set to release a compilation of the lost treasures of Finnish speed and thrash metal in October The roots of speeding thrash metal stretch out to the early and mid 80’s. It did not take long for the waves arising from the shores of California, central Europe and the United Kingdom hit Finland hard as well. The guiding light of Finnish thrash metal from that era was Stone from Kerava, but the entire scene that was bubbling beneath the surface was surprisingly vivid for such a small country. As the old saying goes, in the late 80’s there was not a single town in Finland without a speed metal band. These dozens – or hundreds, to be more precise – of vivacious bands formed by the long-haired youth didn’t just stay in the basements of their parents’ houses. Soon the youth centres of every county and open-minded venues such as the legendary Lepakko in Helsinki would arrange wild speed and thrash metal gigs. Studios run by more experienced musicians such as Timo Tolkki from Stratovarius were fully booked by hungry young bands eager to record their future metal classics. Many bands released 7” singles and demo tapes by themselves or with support from a record company, yet most of them permanently stayed at the demo stage through the golden era of the eighties. Svart Records is set to release a compilation of the absolute top tunes culled from these sought-after, long-lost demo tapes and singles on vinyl and CD in October. No Future, No Past – Finnish Speed & Thrash Metal Explosion combines the strongest, rarest, and most obscure Finnish metal tracks from the years 1986-1992. Backgrounds of the bands presented on the compilation differ a lot from one another. Vendetta and Damage were born from the ashes of the members’ previous hardcore and punk bands. A.R.G. and Catalepsy got their feet in the door fast of record companies such as Poko Records and Megamania, while other metal acts from that time simply faded away. After a few decades passed, some bands saw it fit to restart their careers, Sacred Crucifix and The Hirvi being examples of such comeback artists. No Future, No Past – Finnish Speed & Thrash Metal Explosion 1986–1992 will be released on October 13th on a limited 2LP vinyl edition and CD version. The compilation is packed with 18 remastered tracks of pure Finnish metal mayhem and accompanied by a booklet that contains band histories, photos, and song details. The compilation’s predecessor Real Delusions: Finnish Speed & Thrash Metal Explosion 1987-1991 was released in 2018 and its limited vinyl edition was sold out in a heartbeat, so get this rare gem now before it’s too late!

2023 Repress

First time on vinyl. 'Environments' is generally regarded as 'the great lost album' by The Future Sound Of London. It has taken on almost mythical status with the group's fan base. 'Environments' was due for release much sooner after the 1993 release of the UK Top 10 album hit 'Lifeforms', and only now is it being released - back on the group's original home, Jumpin' and Pumpin' Records.
This release also comes after the recent success of the Archive series which has so far sold over 20,000 units across the different volumes and still climbing.

To re-cap, Brian Dougans and Garry Cobain began their musical partnership and friendship in Manchester, England in the mid 1980s whilst the two were studying at Manchester University. Dougans had already been making electronic music for some time when they first began working in various local clubs. In 1988, Brian embarked on a project for the Stakker graphics company. The result was Stakker Humanoid.
In the following three years the pair produced music under a variety of aliases, followed by the breakthrough classic ambient dub track Papua New Guinea in 1992, which was also the first release under the Future Sound of London moniker.

Third season and third album in 2023 for infamous french punk legends Ludwig Von 88. That's what happens when you turn 40. In one year, you make up for everything you haven't done in four decades. And since Ludwig Von 88 have always done a lot, they catch up a lot. After "L'Hiver des Crêtes" ("Winter on the ridges") and "Le Printemps du Pogo" ("Spring's Pogo"), here comes "L'été du No Future!" ("Summer of No Future").

Max & Intro was a short-lived duo formed by Vincent Max and Intro Johnnie in Belgrade. In 1984 they composed “Ostavi Sve” (in English: “Leave Everything”), probably the greatest ex-Yugoslavian minimal synth song of all times with heavy rotation on radio and even TV appearances. It was a tribute to Fairlight synthesizers, in that time non affordable for these young musicians and became an obsession, especially for Max. In 1985 was published their first and only release “We Design The Future” including “Ostavi Sve” and the B-side “Beogradska Devojka”, another synth gem.

The invasion from outer space continues! Timothy J. Fairplay plays regular live shows at festivals like Digital Tsunami’s Camp DT or the Intergalactic FM Festival in The Hague. His new EP Why Are They Here? is the follow-up to Chariots In The Sky on Archaic Future Sounds that was supported by Lauer, Jennifer Cardini and Curses! Intro: Future sounds of Kraut, what’s it all about? Keine Ahnung, I don’t know. Überraschung, where we go...Alles andere als einfach oder im Grunde unmöglich, die Begriffe „Krautrock“ oder „Kraut“ zu definieren. Dennoch begeben sich Compost Records und Fred und Luna auf eine Zeitreise, um die unterschiedlichen Elemente deutscher elektronischer Musik der 1970er und 1980er Jahre und ihre Auswirkungen auf die neuere deutsche und weltweite Musikszene zu entdecken. Auf „Future Sounds Of Kraut, Vol. 1“ präsentieren die beiden Kuratoren Fred und Luna als erste „Forschungsergebnisse“ hauptsächlich Bands, die vom repetitiven Charakter vergangener deutscher Elektronika à la Kraftwerk, Can, Neu!, Harmonia und Cluster, beeinflusst sind.

András Cséfalvay makes simple music with a potent atmosphere. A well-known figure in the Slovak underground (artistic, literary and music) scene, he returns after years of silence with a collection of intense songs. It's music which tackles both fantasy concepts and environmental trauma; Cséfalvay, armed only with the voice of a bard and his own hand-made guitar, will kindle your imagination and take you to the most unexpected corners of your mind.

More than a singer, on 'Future Role of the Church in the Forthcoming Enviromental Transformation' Cséfalvay acts like a narrator, wearing his heart on his sleeve. He sings of his hate of percussion instruments, Jupiter and other planets, tells tales of guns and love, nature and Mithrandir. His unique style is completely absorbing, despite the minimal, traditional set-up known from his live performances. Existential, yet light, these twelve songs mark a welcome return of a fascinating artist who presents his own vision of the past, present and future – it's bleak and existential, but also filled with purity and honesty that's impossible to resist.
