This is a long overdue collaboration and we couldn't be more excited to present a brand new EP from our man, Jena's mad scientist funk freak himself, Metaboman. A stalwart veteran of the legendary Musik Krause camp, which has been a kindred spiritual sister label of sorts of ours since the millennium-turn heydays, being fellow purveyors of bold and raw dance floor music, still brimming with new ideas galore and bucket loads of soul. Here with the Wireless Dancer EP we have Metaboman in top form offering nothing less than his finest work: 'Doppeldenk' starts things off with some classic Krause bump that brings to mind the heights of the Duo at their peak but updated, like an STL banger turned up to 11 with sinewy melodic lines and that special Thuringen twist. 'Hanno' follows up with a guest spot by jazz saxophone master Thomas Prestin, and guarantees to bring down the house with a storm of swinging stabs, rough riffs, and fresh-as-it-gets drum work. On the flip, 'Splitit' does exactly that, whether referring to wigs, legs, or that last drink ticket - where dusty blues vox chops and a rolling percussive smack down will revive any fading floor faces. And finally, 'EchterG' rounds it all out nicely with the illest of atonal trips and subsonic bass tones that the finer sound systems out there will fully indulge. Depth.Request sees a new hat being thrown into the techno ring. The hat in question is the label's first EP Anvil—a post-tech five-tracker, and the person throwing it is Blasted—an Italian producer with a number of solid EPs to his name. Having had previously shared release credits with him on a number of occasions, Berlin's renowned noisemaker Unhuman fits into the picture as well, being the one charged with remixing duties regarding the titular track.

Setting common tact aside for a moment, the opener showcases Blasted indulging in esoteric inclinations by the means of concentrating on slick, abrasive sound design, cutting the number of kicks in half and utilizing a vocal sample to add a pinch of EBM into the mix. Unhuman's slowed-down rework in turn evokes gears' incessant grind at the backdrop of steam pressurizers going up and down in alteration, producing arrays of heavily plodding, whamming kicks. Breaking free of esoterism and leftfield production, the EP continues with Jawbreaker—a peak-time affair wherein the lows are ravaged by constant sub-bass pressure and ruthlessly striking, syncopated kicks, laid under the neatly-synthesized, impenetrable hats, pertaining to Blasted's signature sound. On Filthy Goat, the assault continues with a renewed strength as anxious synths and panning hats gradually invade the scene shortly before the devastating kicks storm down in a hail of obliterating projectiles, creating a battlefield-evocative environment within this decimating, explosive stomper. Lastly, demonic closer Belial bids its fair digital-only-money's worth of adieu with magnificent ambiance interwoven within the spectrum alongside meticulously arranged drumwork presented through plethora of varied, carefully picked samples.

This is already our seventh Deep Love compilation and we dare to say our most complete yet in sound and flow. The ten pieces on this sampler blend in perfectly with that laid back 'late' summer mood. We are very pleased to welcome yet again some new acts to Dirt Crew with the likes of 'Jaxx Madicine', 'Ouer', 'Times are Ruff' and 'S3A'. We cross many borders not only in genres but also country wise. From the heavy Disco sampled jam by French producer 'S3A' to the Jazz and Funk laden epos of the Italian 3 piece 'Jaxx Madicine' over to the Dutch deep house boys 'Times Are Ruff' who are well known from their, same named, label and finally to the Berlin duo 'Ouer' who also run an own label and released with our good friends at 'Heist Recordings', delivering an ecstatic electronic floating tune here.

This is all completed by some excellence from long time Dirt Crew artists. '25 Places' have been with us for many years now and their two Ep's have gotten so much love from the deeper deep house community. Here they drop an epic almost IDM techno like tune that closes this great album in the best possible way. Our Icelandic stall wart 'Felix Leifur' drops a heavy hitter named 'Buster'. After his recent 'Bobby Donny' Ep earlier this year we are thrilled to have him back on Dirt Crew! 'Harry Wolfman' and 'Ponty Mython' need no introduction really, they are adding Electro/ Disco/ Electronica fuelled cuts that form a great middle part to this mix of tunes. Harry going in very smooth and relaxed, something else than his usual House workout which we really loved to present to you. 'Ponty Mython' drops an irresistible 'good times' indie acid track in his unique 'free' style.

Last, we must of course not forget 'Dan Only' and key wizzard 'Lorenz Rhode'! With another beautifully smooth cut 'Dan Only' follows up on his latest debut Ep with us. Again a smart cross over in Techno and House with a distinct relaxed groove and atmosphere to it. Lorenz is back 'On Top' here after his super successful first offering to the Deep Love series last year and his 'And I Said' EP which stormed many charts. In the middle of touring and working with Detroit Swindle on their 'High Life' album we are super happy that he found the time to make another gem with that raw n funky live feel to it... We couldn't have started this compilation off with a better joint than 'Marakuja'.

The full-length debut by Julie Carpenter's Joshua Tree, California ambient orchestral project Less Bells emerged from the drama and desolation of its high desert origins.
She cites certain compositions as being 'specifically inspired by August monsoons rolling in over the mountains, others by clear, starry nights.' Utilizing an array of electronic and acoustic instruments, including cello, Optigan, violin, voice, and modular synth, Solifuge conflates not only the solitude and refuge of its title but also intimacy and grandeur, fragility and force, 'building from austerity to wild overgrowth.'
She speaks of a creative process involving cut-ups and rearranging, mapping a melody for strings only to transpose it to synth, or refashioning a rigid classical piece as stream of consciousness soundscape. Carpenter's versatility and embrace of flux fills these songs with a living, breathing quality, restrained but responsive, adapting to shifting conditions and emotions beneath the surface.

Luminaries Such As Claude Young, Traxx, And Derrick May Were Key Early Influences. Techno, Noise, Ambient And Tape Processing Are All Part Of His Uncanny Sound Palette. His Debut Album 'meditations/industry' Was Released On Cassette In 2013 And Edited For A Vinyl Release On Dark Entries In 2016 Followed By Two 12' Singles 'warehouse Invocation' And '7 Of 9' The Same Year. In 2017 Converse Released His Second Album 'the Shape Of Things To Come' Followed By The Double Ep 'salt Of Mars'.

'hulled' Is A 25 Minute Journey Spread Across 4 Tracks Of Glacial Abandon. All Tracks Were Recorded Directly To Tape With No Overdubs, Made At Converse's Home Studio. Bill Says These Tracks Represent 'ocean Waves In Stormy Conditions, Dark Grey Blue Water, Or More Generally Speaking Something Ominous And Beautiful.' The Songs On This Album Reveal A Sublime Influence From Detroit Techno, Idm, And Acid. Built Around Vintage Synthesizer Lines And Gritty Drum Machine Percussion, The Tracks Ebb And Flow Like The Effect Of Sun Shimmering On Water, Woozy, Gauzy And Ephemeral. All Songs Were Mastered For Vinyl By George Horn At Fantasy Studios In Berkeley.

Each Ep Is Housed In A Die-cute Jacket Designed By Eloise Leigh With Peachy Pink Patterns Landing On An Alien Water Planet And Seeing Mysterious Playing Forms Under The Turquoise Water. Each Copy Includes A Postcard Featuring Photo Of Bill With Notes.

It Was November 2017 When I Received A Call From An Old Friend, "hi Fabrizio, I Found A Rare Japanese Drum Machine, You Should Come And See It Before I Put This On Ebay." I Went To Check It Out And Immediately Realized It Had More Potential Than Just Drum Sounds Generation, It Was Able To Produce Quirky And Creepy Sounds If Triggered By Any Sound Source. So I Bought It And Brought In The Studio, Where Me And Alex Were Laying Down New Beats And Ideas. It Took Just Three Days Of Jams To Get The Skeleton Of This Record Done: I Programmed The Module To Receive Alex's Drum Hits And The Device Started Creating Synth Lines, Almost As It Was Speaking Its Own Language.i've Found A Soul In This Machine, And I Wanted To Bring It To Life In These Tracks, A Mix Of Arranged Compositions And Improvised Jams. Ce Ce Rogers' spine tingling, seminal hit 'Someday' gets a much-welcomed official remastered, reissue 31 years after it first took the scene by storm. Produced by Chicago's master, Marshall Jefferson, every element is unmistakable - from the dynamic bass and sweeping flutes that set the scene for that instantly recognisable piano riff, to the raw soulful beauty of Rogers' vocals. 'Someday' is a record that truly captures the euphoric, loving nature of the early house music scene - epitomising a timeless spirit and hope for future harmony within society.

Often cited as one of the greatest dance records of all time, it's influence is clear to be seen from the sheer number of covers and records that have since sampled it. An indisputable masterpiece, complete with dub mix and accainstrumental versions, this is an essential 12" for any record collector out there - house head or not.

Park Jiha first gained attention as the leader and producer of the neotraditional Korean duo (su:m). Her music combines the formalism of classical minimalism, the rootedness of Korean folk motifs and the dynamics of post-rock and contemporary jazz. A calm from within the storm.

On her Unterton debut, Their Specters, Borusiade offers four different takes on atmospheric, industrial electronics and chopped rhythms, composed around the themes of ecological and human self-destruction. 2018 has already been an active year for the Romanian-born, Berlin-based electronic musician, who released her debut LP A Body on Co´meme in March and has since toured her live set throughout Europe. Known for a hybrid sound between noisy electronics, techno, post-punk, and dark disco, she has also released EPs and 12's on labels such as Minimal Wave sublabel Cititrax and Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant. EP opener 'Forewarned Is Forearmed' sets the tone as a massive drum march, stomping forward between rolling snares, clanging metal percussion and guttural drones, while evolution-themed 'Common Ancestor' is a tribal head-nodder, with booming sustained kicks offset by overdriven snare brushes and fluttering synths. New forms from a primordial sonic pool. On 'Doublethink' wailing synths and stuttering rhythms vie for dominance in a storm of off-kilter techno, while the mammoth, slow melodic closer 'Atlas' moves to the pace of waves crashing and hypnotic, detuned, interwoven melodies. Big sounds for the end of days.

Das ursprünglich 2013 erschienene und international gefeierte Werk "Stories" war das erste Album, das der in Berlin lebende Komponist und Vibraphonist Masayoshi Fujita unter eigenem Namen veröffentlichte. Es bildete den Auftakt für eine Trilogie von Solo-Vibraphon-Alben, dessen letzter Teil, "Book Of Life", im Sommer 2018 bei Erased Tapes herauskommt. "Book Of Life" ist letztlich auch der Grund dafür, warum das Londoner Label "Stories" als weltweite Neuauflage noch einmal in die Läden bringt. Der Zeitpunkt ist gut gewählt, da 2018 perkussiver Ambient eine Art Renaissance erlebt, unter anderem befeuert durch die Wiederveröffentlichung von Midori Takadas wegweisendem Album "Through The Looking Glass" in 2017 sowie Ryuichi Sakamotos "Comeback", dessen Soundtracks durchaus Parallelen zu Masayoshis Storytelling-Klangwelten aufweisen. In den vorangegangenen Jahren fokussierte der ausgebildete Schlagzeuger sein künstlerisches Schaffen ausschließlich auf das Vibraphon und prägte so einen ganz eigenen Ansatz zwischen Ambient und moderner Komposition. Das Vibraphon "ist ein recht junges Instrument, und doch wird es fast immer auf dieselbe Art gespielt", so der Berliner Exilant. "Ich habe das Gefühl, dass es da noch viel mehr zu erkunden gibt mit dieser spannenden Erfindung."

Iron Sight's music crosses territory between dystopian sci-fi futurism and biblical eschatology, perhaps the same event, the end of the Uroburos' tail; mechanical percussion hits anchor drones that evoke Albrecht Durer's vision of The Four Horsemen, bristling synths audibly resemble locust drones descending upon rotting fields, a voice made from barbed wire emerges from a storm of reverb.

This record, as the title suggests focuses on the trauma of a broken heart, bodies longed for are dissected and reconstructed, the minimal composition of the tracks allows cinematic spaces to unfold, constructing the scaffolding for a descent into obsession, mania and the annihilation of memory.

Crosstown Rebels deliver their next album in the form of a masterful offering from Chic Miniature. The cosmic duo, Ernesto Ferreyra and Guillaume Coutu Dumont make a welcome return to the label with eight tracks of melodic bliss.Fourteen years in the making, a thread of mystery weaves its way through the tapestry of this melancholic LP. It's a true journey through a sublime sonic soundscape. Opening track Adormecido is shrouded in mystery, closely followed by Miso Drunky with its tribal drums and dramatic synth stabs. Kaléidoscope bubbles up next, swiftly followed by Tilt with its genteel cowbell. Then comes Año Uno the first track created back in 2004 with its impressive church-like bells. Suki Ni is twinkling and sublime that flows into the delicate groove of Let It Slide, which samples an ambient rain storm. The album closes on La Sandunga gracefully littered with plentiful percussion.Of the album, the pair explain how they were 'raised on old technology and integrated the newer technology in our everyday lives as it was developing' a fact that is clearly apparent upon listening to the album. They give a sonic hat tip to their 'love of melancholic melodies....almost always rooted in the past, but to us, no time is attached. Are the new machines dreaming about the past, or are the new ones contemplating the future that lays ahead'. The album proves their ability to fuse the new with the old to create an album bursting with timeless tracks.Ernesto Ferreyra and Guillaume Coutu Dumont's partnership is a true meeting of musical minds. Their first release was gifted to us way back in 2005- the Conexio´n Califa EP released on German imprint Raum Musik. Since then they've released on Musique Risque´e as well as a previous EP on Crosstown Rebels. Individually, they've released a plethora of music with Ferreyra also heading up his own label Loosen Up Records and Guillaume signing music to Musique Risquée amongst others.

Garage Shelter aka Signal ST is a french producer who did mainly tracks for skylax under the name Garage Shelter that has been praised by BEN UFO, MOVE D or MAD REY (D.ko). He signed also some eps on Midi - deux & House puff (DJ Steaw). He's also behing the Bleu Blanc House project (with hardrock striker label's head honcho). British DJ/producer Bearface has been on a bit of a roll of later. Aside from releases on his own Beartone label, the London-based label owner has also found time to deliver outstanding cuts to the likes of Exploited Ghetto, which housed his last release, the wonderful 'Moon'. This time around, he comes correct on his own Beartone label with a record that's notable for its quirky demeanour and undoubted eclecticism.

Opening up the release is the sounds of 'Mumbai Nights'. Although it gets us underway in fairly innocuous fashion, it quickly finds its feet thanks to a brilliant, whaling Indian-Inspired vocal that weaves in and out throughout. A whimsical track of that sort that's sure to be a hit with more daring DJs, it's an auspicious start to a release that's never lacking in personality.

As is his forte, Bearface then goes much deeper in search of kicks on 'Data Storm', taking us taking us down the rabbit hole to a place that's full of enticing oddities throughout. After this, the frankly bonkers sound of the electro-leaning title track 'Sista' take centre stage. A thoroughly intense peak-time workout, it's full of attitude and an indication of the producer's more gnarly and abrasive approach. All things considered, it's sure to get the night moving in an altogether different direction wherever it's unleashed.

Closing out the EP is the drum heavy sounds of 'March'. A broody track that's tailor made for the night's more relentless moments, it's a a fitting way with which to sign off an eclectic and dizzying release. The latest chapter in the Beartone story is a captivating listen throughout.

When it comes to soulful house, Detroit native Alton Miller is about as ingrained as it gets. Peacefrog, Planet E, Moods & Grooves, Mahogani and Sound Signature have all endorsed his talents and with an album looming later in the year, Waella's Choice sow the seeds with 'All Things Good'. Club music for the sensitive souls, with some arresting spoken word poetry and even a broken beat deviation.'All Things Good' is the fourth release from London label Waella's Choice, following Hanna, RANGEr and the London on Key compilation.

Smoove & Turrell return with the first new single from their forthcoming album 'Mount Pleasant' - a storming double-A side with disco cut - 'You're Gone' and the gorgeous and ironic 'A Deckham Love Song'.

From the moment John Turrell heard label mate Izo FitzRoy's debut album "Skyline" he knew they had to work together and started adapting a song he was working on "You're Gone" with her in mind.

The result is an absolute ear worm of uplifting chic style instrumentation combined with haunting lyrics - disco dynamite delivered with feeling as John & Izo's vocals perfectly encapsulate the balance of frustration, pride and vulnerability present in a lovers argument.

The flipside is the undeniably pretty 'A Deckham Love Song' - a smooth slice of sublime songwriting with a Richard Hawley-esque tongue-in-cheek look back at a childhood spent in Deckham. Suns out, guns out: Darkroom Dubs ease into 2018 slowly with a new addition to their limited vinyl series courtesy of Madrid analogue scientist Eduardo De La Calle.

Last spotted on Planet E and boasting a 15 year back-cat on the likes of Cadenza, Biologic, Just This, Hivern Discs and Mule Muziq, Eduardo is a man you're already well acquainted with. And you're going to want to get even closer once you've digested these four straight-to-business stripped-back traxx. Each cut designed for deep mix tailoring that you can really bend minds with.

'It's Me... The Apple Knocker' ignites the fire with a flash as we're hurled into a hypnotic frenzy from the first loop. A whirlwind comprised of so few parts yet causing a riot in your senses, this stutters and slurs with a precision sense of unease. The troubled ebb and flow of 'Opsimath' follow suit with a twinkling feeling of unknown. An extensive groove weighing in at nearly nine minutes, its unhurried nature alludes to its title; the longer you leave it sizzle, the more enriching it gets.

Flip for 'Breatharian'. The deepest, most disarming cut of the collection laced with yearning strings and poignant chords, it's a solar-inspired sunset piece that gradually morphs into something much darker and serious as the track progresses. Finally we conclude with 'Cybersquatting', a timeless mildly dubbed-out darkroom groove that flows with liquid insistency. Subtly mutating and rotating, forever pumping, it's a true calm before the storm piece, tailored for those moments when you need a little suspense and space in your set.
