Holding the world record for the longest ever EP title the first EP -Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyndrobwllantysiliogogogochynygofod (In Space), was released in 1995, followed in the same year by Moog Droog, with both EPs making up the eight-song track listing of the vinyl version of Precreation Percolation.

Later that year, with a record deal on the table and future classics such as God! Show Me Magic and Hangin’ With Howard Marks already making up the SFA’s set list, the band’s path following “two years of chaos” (including a legendary 1993 debut ‘gig’ at Bangor University’s Banana Lounge, lasting all of five minutes due to technical and chemical misadventure) was set. In the album’s liner notes, singer, Gruff Rhys writes: “It would have been the best gig ever, had we not daisy chained so many synthesizers together, that it resulted in a terminal systems failure.”

By summer they’d joined Oasis, Primal Scream and The Jesus and Mary Chain in the Creation Records family, leading to a huge London signing party that saw members of the band famously thrown out of.

The term of intriguing genre experimentation, spanning long-form electro, blissed out instrumentals and expansive prog-influenced rock, heard across much of Precreation Percolation was subsequently refined and channeled into their thrilling, 1996 debut album, Fuzzy Logic and their untamed live performances.


While consciously and frequently referring to the unheard, untold and unforeseen as a naturally nostalgia-resistant band, Super Furry Animals look ahead to reconvening with fans to celebrate their shared history as the Supercabra Tour gets underway.

Strut Records proudly presents a new reissue of the original Afrobeat classic Low Profile (Not For The Blacks), recorded and composed by Afrika 70 saxophonist and bandleader Lekan Animashaun and produced by Fela Kuti. After years touring the world as Fela’s baritone saxophonist, Animashaun stepped forward to lead the legendary Egypt 80 band following Tony Allen’s departure, remaining the group’s musical director until Fela’s death in 1997. He continued on subsequent tours with Seun Kuti until 2016. Lekan began recording his only solo project, Low Profile, in 1977. The album was composed and recorded across sessions at home in Nigeria and on tour with Fela, who both produced the recordings and added keyboards to the album’s title track. ‘Low Profile (Not For The Blacks)’ referenced a government campaign during the country’s 1970s oil boom: “It was inspired by a speech by Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria’s military Head of State, when he urged black people to keep a low profile about their wealth and not to behave in a vulgar, arrogant way,” explains Lekan. “I argued that low profile is not just for the blacks, as everyone is human, regardless of race.” On the flip side, the simmering Afrobeat anthem ‘Se Rere’ (which translates as ‘Do Right’) delivers Animashaun’s message of living with integrity: do right, and you will reap what you sow.

The song later became the band’s opening number during Fela’s live performances both in Nigeria and internationally throughout the 1980s and ’90s. Despite recording beginning almost two decades earlier, Low Profile did not receive an official release until 1995, when it finally surfaced on Fela’s Kalakuta label. One of only a handful of albums led by core members of Kuti’s band, Low Profile captures a pivotal moment in Afrobeat history. Over time, the original has become a rare and highly sought-after record, and this new reissue places the spotlight back on a modest but influential Nigerian legend. Strut’s reissue features the complete original artwork, is fully remastered by The Carvery, and includes brand new liner notes by Lekan Animashaun himself.

That outfit made tremendous strides in bridging the gap between the long-haired metal contingent and the still developing, though already rabid, D.C. hardcore scene. Jug Fulla Sun shows Wino augmenting his trademark brand of doom-laden guitar work and slow-fuse vocal ferocity with greater lyrical depth and overall textural breadth. The songs are rich, refined, articulate, and created by a lifer, a true veteran of the hard music scene. Wino has obviously gone to great lengths here to subordinate his outlaw vision to a more expansive, comprehensive view of mankind, and of greater truths. The band The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies emerged in 1991 in the Nashville blues scene. With their jam-oriented style, they quickly made a name in the live circuit and attracted the attention of major labels and ended up in the Billboard charts.

In 1996, they released their second album Magnolia. It was produced by Michael Barbiero (The Allman Brothers Band, Blues Traveler) and features a guest appearance by Warren Haynes of Gov't Mule. The album became a fan favourite and had two singles that appeared on the US Rock chart. Now, 30 years later Magnolia remains a Southern Rock classic and will finally be available on vinyl.

Magnolia is available as a 30th anniversary edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on blue vinyl and includes an insert.

METLASR is an album for microtonal idiophones and modular synthesizer by composer/producer Tyler Friedman for Radicant_Editions.

Drawing on the legacies of downtown minimalism, METLASR connects avant-garde composition, aspects of global traditional musics and advanced synthesizer technique into an ambitious and singular hybrid. Animated by generative modular sequencing and grounded by undulating bass, the album focuses on an endless cascade of pirouetting geometric melodics, which are spread across a spectrally fused ensemble of crystalline FM and sampled pitched percussion – specifically gamelan orchestra, marimba, mbira, vibraphone and tingklik. The assemblage of voices interlace in fractal mirrors, aggregating into pointillist harmonizations heightened by multiple layers of dub processing. The use of alternative tunings — primarily 24-note per octave just intonation — infuses the poly-modal progressions with lush radiance, staging tension between the strange and the beautiful through neon inflections of subtle dissonance.

Joe Harriott"s High Spirits (1965), is a post-bop album featuring the British/Jamaican saxophonist"s quintet playing interpretations of tunes from the Noël Coward musical of the same name, this album is characterized by its melodic, swinging, and accessible nature, featuring strong, lyrical work from Harriott and trumpeter Shake Keane, with arrangements by pianist Pat Smythe. Unlike the more "free-form" experiments Harriott was known for at the time, High Spirits sticks to a more traditional hard-swinging, post-bop style, the quintet"s arrangements and, crucially, their improvisational skills, rescue it from being a commercial or bland effort. Neues, viertes, Solo-Album vom dänischen Psych-Rock-Zauberer Uffe Lorenzen aka Lorenzo Woodrose aka... Seit zehn Jahren interpretiert Uffe Lorenzen (bekannt von u.a Baby Woodrose und Spids Nogenhat) auf allen seinen Alben ein altes dänisches Lied. Das gilt für seine drei Soloalben und die beiden Alben seiner aktuellen Rockband Lydsyn. Auf seinem neuen Soloalbum Glemte Spor ("Vergessene Spuren") hat er ein komplettes Album mit 10 Interpretationen von Liedern aus den Jahren 1967 bis 1999 aufgenommen. Einige davon sind dänische Klassiker, andere sind eher unbekannte Lieder, die er sich zu eigen gemacht hat. Viele davon können als Protestsongs betrachtet werden oder haben einen anti-war Charakter. ,Ich habe festgestellt, dass ich die Herausforderung, Songs anderer Leute zu interpretieren und sie zu meinen eigenen zu machen, wirklich mag. Sie zu verändern, zu interpretieren und vielleicht sogar zu verbessern. Viele der Songs werden den meisten Menschen unbekannt sein, während andere dänische Klassiker sind. Was sie gemeinsam haben, ist, dass sie mich irgendwie zu dem gemacht haben, der ich bin", sagt Uffe Lorenzen. Das Album wurde zusammen mit Morten Hart Grabowski in einem kleinen Studio in Kopenhagen aufgenommen. In mehr als 20 Sessions haben sie zusammen eine Liste von 50 Songs auf die zehn reduziert, die schließlich auf dem Album gelandet sind. Live dates continue into 2026 with Shady Nasty returning to the UK/EU as part of their TREK Tour, hitting up venues in London (Moth Club), Bristol (Strange Brew), Leeds (Hyde Park Book Club), Glasgow (SWG3 Poetry Club), Dublin (Whelan's), Cologne (Garagen), and Berlin (Mikropol), as well as Marrapalooza in Newcastle, Best Kept Secret Festival (NL), and Outbreak Festival in Manchester, before heading to Australia for shows in Brisbane (The Tivoli), Newcastle (King Street Bandroom), Wollongong (UOW Unibar), and Canberra (Fun Time Pony), then back to the UK for All Points East festival, curated by Tyler, the Creator, in August, and a full North American run supporting Militarie Gun (Sept-Oct 2026).

The seven tracks are imbued with a sound that is at times harsh and angular, yet always cultivates a dreamlike and sometimes epic imagery. It is the first album with vocals by the talented Elisa Brusati (then the singer of Noema) and lyrics by drummer and synth player Federico Rivoli. This choice has strengthened the band's cinematic and expressive inspiration, which in previous albums was entirely instrumental. The guitar and bass parts complement a less prominent use of synths and keyboards compared to the last album, "From Sunset to Dawn" although there is no shortage of themes and long psychedelic digressions, such as in the songs "Hidden Places" and "Sleeping Brain".

Glenn Underground’s Jazz-Funk fuelled rework of 'This Place' kicks things off and needs no introduction… heavily supported & much loved through the soulful circles & beyond with the likes of Louie Vega, Dave Lee, Jimpster, Jamie 3:26 & Fred Everything (to name a few!) all loudly banging the drum – people have been clamouring for this to be on vinyl. Up next is 'Modulate', a collaborative force of the highest order between Sean & long-time friend Black Sonix. Expertly fuzzying the lines across Deep, Soulful & House is somewhat of a speciality for the duo respectively and there’s bags of all 3 intertwined throughout alongside a hefty sprinkling of sun-kissed, Latino-inspired pianos.

'Still Standing Here' kicks things off on the B-side and begin in March 2022 as vocalist Madeeha recorded an accapella vocal idea in a phone voice message, quietly singing into her phone to avoid waking the neighbours. She sent the idea to drum & bass producer from Bristol, DJ Mixjah, who then approached friend Sean McCabe with the idea. Together they produced a hypnotic afro-tinged soulful backing track to fit with the voice message, with an intention to re-record it in a studio environment. Sean and Mixjah soon realised that the music they had created blended perfectly with the sincerity, intimacy & rawness of Madeeha's heartfelt performance in the original voice message and decided to stick with it. A firm fave for Atjazz, Crackazat , DJ Spen & Emmaculate.

Wrapping things up is 'You Don’t Know', a slick & energetic dancefloor bubbler from London based producer/DJ ‘David Bailey’ and Canadian soulful songstress ‘MissFly’. David Bailey is a firm favourite amongst the London house music community. He’s produced standout releases on labels such as Idris Elba's 7wallace, Makin Moves, Good Vibrations Music, Rhemi Music & Unquantize. Originally founded as a solo project by singer Georg Wilfinger (ex-Miasma) in 2010 in Austria, In 2012, the project evolved into a studio band with drummer Romain Goulon (ex-Necrophagist) and guitarist Jean-Pierre Battesti, releasing the demo "Bandroom Misanthropy" MONUMENT OF MISANTHROPY have released three studio albums, and an EP Previous full-length album "Vile Postmortem Irrumatio" was released in August 2024 and drew roaring reviews worldwide. The new opus is a wholesome little concept album chronicling the coming- of- age story of a serial killer: the awkward upbringing, the early extracurricular activities, and the grand finale on the electric chair, America's probably most prolific serial killer , Ted Bundy.

Following vibraphonist and long-standing member Lewis Wright"s move to the USA, the award-winning UK jazz ensemble, featuring Nathaniel Facey on alto saxophone, Tom Farmer on double bass and Shaney Forbes on drums, have embraced a more flexible lineup. The trio enlist high-caliber guest artists to expand their sound, with long-time collaborators Ivo Neame on piano and David Preston on guitar lending their distinctive musical voices to the album. The album traverses the musical terrain between contemporary classical music, soundscape, post-bop and free jazz. On an entirely unrelated matter, I Will Take You Hunting release their brand new (4th) and best (1st) album yet in June 2026. The album is released on Geranium Red Vinyl ...and no, we don't know who Patterson is! I Will Take You Hunting are Steve, Dave & DJ Butterscotch, a thrillingly abrasive three piece from Scotland. Their sound is a unique blend of electro-punk with hues of hip hop and groove. They are known for their electrifying live sets and raucous, vivid storytelling.

The seven tracks are imbued with a sound that is at times harsh and angular, yet always cultivates a dreamlike and sometimes epic imagery. It is the first album with vocals by the talented Elisa Brusati (then the singer of Noema) and lyrics by drummer and synth player Federico Rivoli. This choice has strengthened the band's cinematic and expressive inspiration, which in previous albums was entirely instrumental. The guitar and bass parts complement a less prominent use of synths and keyboards compared to the last album, "From Sunset to Dawn" although there is no shortage of themes and long psychedelic digressions, such as in the songs "Hidden Places" and "Sleeping Brain".

Shiner, Pontiac Streator and Ben Bondy’s debut as shinetiac is a downtempo pleasure, now on vinyl.

All three members of Shinetiac are best known for their tenure in the neo-ambient weeds, gathering bounties for 3XL, Quiet Time, Motion Ward and of course Huerco S.’s West Mineral. Anyone familiar with their various side projects and solo deployments will have already clocked their obsessions with classic dreampop, trip- hop and cloud rap, and those influences are fully thrust into the foreground here, with the more trad ambient elements used as little more than decoration. ‘Star Frog Dilla’ opens the set and combs illusory Olive-like vocal harmonies over a jumble of choppy jazz samples and sirens, with a glitch-heavy beat that harks back to an earlier, simpler iteration of IDM. What makes it so inviting is that Shinetiac fashion a loveletter to pre-internet cultural collisions, pooling their empathetic energies in a lushly amorphous slant on ambient dance strung between classic Trip Hop, HD late ‘90s / early ‘00s electronic music x vaporous hypermodernism.

Italian producer Nicodemo returns to Alzaya Records with You Are Sleeping, a five-track EP structured around subtle shifts in perception rather than narrative progression or peak-driven club dynamics.

Transamericas reissues Atom™’s Kraftwerk-goes-chachachá classic

After 25 years out of print, El Baile Alemán — the cult album by Señor Coconut (one of Atom™’s many aliases) — returns on vinyl via Transamericas. What began as a half-joke (“The only way I’d cover Kraftwerk is as chachachá or death metal…”) became a fever-born epiphany: Kraftwerk’s electronic minimalism recast through a tropical imagination — where chachachá, mambo, and cumbia intertwine with glitch, breakbeats, and distressed samples.

Long before reggaeton and trap filled stadiums and playlists, Señor Coconut was already mapping the fault lines between Latin rhythm and electronic form.
Originally released in Japan in 2000, El Baile Alemán caught the ear of Kraftwerk’s Florian Schneider, who unexpectedly championed the project. This reissue has been cut from Atom™’s 2022 remasters, preserving the album’s detail for a new generation of listeners. In the second half of 2026,

Transamericas will also reissue El Gran Baile (1997), his first outing — a rawer but equally idiosyncratic fusion of what Atom™ was going to frame as electrolatino.
