Following Alex Kassian’s massive ‘E2–E4’, he reunites with Hiroaki Oba as Opal Sunn. Opal Sunn have played live at some of the worlds finest clubs and festivals and are tipped by many as the ones to watch. This EP is the first in a trilogy of releases. ‘Elastic’ runs from deep electronic trance inspired dancefloor driven House on the A side, to reggae-tinged dub groover and a beautiful ambient version on the B side; both with more than a nod to Kassian’s Sound and Garden of Eden tracks. Ceri and Alex Arnout launch their new collaboration alias 'CnA', for the eagerly anticipated third release on Ceri's Find Your Own Records label.

The A side 'Higher' is a happy house summer festival banger, inspired by getting high from the music, and the B side 'Show Me What You Got' is an eerie slice of breaksy techno, reminiscent of the early UR sound.

On the remix is Ukranian SE62, famed for his releases on labels like My Love Is Underground and Slapfunk. He reworks the original into a dubby summer laid back deep house minimal cut.

The first two releases sold out on vinyl, had plays on BBC Radio1, BBC 6Music, have rave reviews in dance music press, as well as being Mixmag's techno 'Tune Of The Month', and was also supported by some of the biggest and most respected selectors in the scene such as Ben UFO. It s been 7 years since I introduced the first part of this series -Mis Hermanos Rumanos- with Sepp and later (Part 2) with Faster and Nu Zau. Seven years later the saga of Romanian brothers grows and continues, it is a pleasure to be able to bring together two good friends and talented artists from the great and already proliferating minimal scene of this country. In this third part we can find a darker and percussive sound, acoustic string instruments and at the same time maintaining the minimalist essence that characterizes Acmé. Jack's House Recordings favourite (Alex Arnout), is back with another 4 track solid EP. This is the 3rd EP with Alex signed to the label. Alex was the first artist to release on the imprint back in 2016 with sell out Confirmation Bias ep followed by the Sync Jam release and further productions on some of the Jacks Tracks VA series. This latest offering with the new Burn EP does not disappoint


This limited vinyl press offers 4 distinctive tracks showcasing Alex's ability and talent to seamlessly blend influences from different genres making his production unique creating his staple sound.


First up is Burn which kicks of with tough tech beats quickly followed by some punchy chords before it develops into a beautiful fusion of an energetic original tech house sound merged with what can only be described as a pure soulful touch with the vocal snippet which occasionally and simply sings the the title track lyric (Burn). You could describe it as Tech soul if that were a thing. Punchy, warm and energising with a touch of a romantic notion in there while maintaining the techy roots, you will have this on repeat.


2nd up is Tribespeople, which takes you into Alex's tougher side. Leading with a full on kick and rounded sound, it is perfectly suited for true underground dance floors at the height of their energy, or to wake it up, this track is made for the committed clubber that really likes to go for it ! The track is laced with subtle fills that will jog your memory and take you back to the original days of rave. This is pure underground bliss.


On the flip side, is the popular Punkadelic. This was originally released back in 2022 on Jacks Tracks VA Vol 5 alongside tracks from Terry Francis, Lex & Legit Trip. It was always intended to be a vinyl release, so by popular demand, it is finally going onto wax, where it deserves to be. Punkadelic is dark with a real techno vibe, but even in here, if you have a good ear, you can hear subtle touches of Jazz in the percussion, which yet again showcases Alex Arnout's unique talent to fuse elements of different genres in an especially classy way.


Last but by no means least, is a slightly different flavour with the track Recall. This is a slightly more laid back number, but still punchy with a good chug to it, and keeping within the sounds of the underground. Vocal snippets are spoken and broken throughout the track laced over some ghostly chords accompanied by swinging hats, claps and a fierce bassline.

After achieving an excellent result with the EP Vol. 1 the three DJ producers create this new album with 2 tracks super Afro on Side A, the first is the cover of "Happiness" by Fuhrs Frohling and the second also on Side A is an unreleased modern Afro Beat entitled "OM" already released digitally on their label Audio Recordings.

Side B is instead markedly Funk, with the first track “Ultrafunk” inspired by a song from the 70s and the second, “Excellent Funky”, with a more pronounced dancefloor beat.

Alex Israel's new 'Uncertainty Manipulated' release on Somnambulant Drift features generative music he has crafted by "building elements of arbitrary length that work together melodically but do not correspond in time. As the individual components replay, they overlap coincidentally, resulting in music that makes itself." The result is four tracks of sublime and escapist ambient with no beginning and no end but plenty of heart-aching piano chords, harp strums, hazy drones, mindful synth smears and meditative moods that offer comfort but also encourage inward reflections. It's a perfect coming together of man, machine and absorbing minimalism.

Deep down the rabbit hole you'll find Alex Wilcox in a hurry. Not without a healthy dose of irony he debuts on Trip with 6 razor sharp high octane minimal bangers. grabbing your attention straight away these fast paced perky tracks cut with the precision of a surgeon will turn every dancefloor into a giant sonic wormhole.

Next up on BPitch's sub label UFO Inc is a hyperactive package of sonic oddities from Alex Wilcox. Having arrived in Berlin by way of Dallas, Texas, Alex continues to build a name for his truly eccentric production style and genre-defying DJ sets.

123 is an ascending spiral into the weirder corners of electronic music by a producer who is unafraid to let the wheels come off. Deranged, delirious, and surreal, it's an essential package of eccentric techno.

Following releases on Love On The Rocks and Pinchy & Friends (the massive 'Leave Your Life' and 'Strings of Eden' which now goes for big bucks on Discogs) Alex Kassian arrives with the first release on the new label from the Test Pressing team.

Lead track 'Voices' arrives in three mixes that run from an expansive journey, to a pure club version, followed by the ambient excursion 'Lifestream' - an electronic piece focussing on what Alex does best, quality production with amazing sounds and melody. This is the first in a three part series of Alex Kassian releases building to an album next year.
