I thought I would write this one myself.

Over the last few years, I found myself making music for everyone else. What would other musicians think about this record? Would this track get me more gigs? The process of creating become secondary and I fell out of love with it entirely.

This album is a journey to get back to the reason I started doing this in the first place, because I love making music. It is a return to embodying that most unfairly derided of phrases, the bedroom DJ, the bedroom artist. Where else is the love for this game stronger than in those early years, surrounded by your friends and the endless possibility of creation.

Fuenf Typen, zu viele Instrumente und ehrliche Geschichten im bayrischen Slang. Geschichten wie Bilder von Kindheit, Frauen, Bier und Gemüsebrühe, von Emanzipation und vom Aufbruch ins Unbekannte. Da sind Lieder, die der ganzen scheiss Welt den Mittelfinger zeigen andere, die sie mit einem schulterzuckenden "Jamei!" umarmen. Und über alldem der Klang der sanften Brise des stillzirpenden, rauschenden, endlosen Oberpfaelzer Hinterlands. Im Versuch die Welt in Musik zu fassen entziehen sich die "Widersacher aller Liedermacher" lieber einer kategorischen Einordnung und manövrieren zwischen Folk, Rock und Jazz, zwischen Hip-Hop und Klassik in einer zügellosen Freiheit, die irgendwie 60er-Jahre-Woodstock-Vibes durch den Hypophysenlappen wabern laesst.

Second physical record from KNOWN ARTIST brings forward the 4th EP from the french duo. Alex Kassian brings his sophisticated touch to warm “Get Up” into a chugging aerial soother. Aldonna honors “Say What ?” with high spirited energy from the depths of Me lbourne. The rest is the same business not business of signature rubber basses and chopped alarms!

Remastered vinyl of the original album which came out on CD only in 2005. Limited to 200 copies on classic black vinyl. This is an album that’s as alive as any could be. Indeed, far from sounding like the last desperate set of half-baked ideas from a once vital band (hello Oasis?) Artists Cannibals Poets Thieves is more like a debut album from a bunch of teenage upstarts: free from cynicism, fired with worldly wonder and chock full of ideas. This is certainly a different outfit from that of 1998, when they first wowed us (via John Peel, naturally) with the utterly essential sprawling noise that was The Things We Make. Long since stripped down by a series of resignations from a five strong collective to a taut three piece featuring founding members Chris Olley, James Flower and Chris Davis, the music has simplified considerably. Gone are the soundscapes of old, and in their place we have a series of sharp basslines, swirling keyboards, cutting guitar lines and the passionate hollering of frontman Olley. Opener All I Really Want From You Is Love is a perfect introduction to proceedings – a truly wonderfully distorted slab of indie rock, recalling early Jesus And Mary Chain in both its fuzz and, crucially, its wonderfully crafted tune. Next, Nowhere To Go But Home sounds like New Order if they’d emerged from Detroit in 1966. Tonight (I Wanna Make It Out) follows likewise with the best bassline Peter Hook never plucked. Throughout, Six By Seven manage to sound so natural, so refreshing free of the flab and introspection that a band on its last legs would usually succumb to. And whilst the momentum is momentarily lost as the drum machine makes an appearance to fashion the Suicide-esque trawl of Stara Paris Rescued Me, it’s not long before Just Get It Down muscles things back on course with a whispered Olley diatribe perched on top of more raw cacophony, before we reach the bitter end via the Depeche Mode-on-smack You Know I Feel Alright Now. Ursprünglich als Studioprojekt im Jahr 2011 konzipiert, entwickelte sich SURRENDER THE CROWN zwei Jahre später zu einer vollwertigen Band. Mit ihrem ersten Album 'What We Think Defines Us' etablierten sie ihren musikalischen Markenkern: Stampfender, groovender Heavy Rock ohne musikalische Scheuklappen. Der Metal Hammer wählt die Band aus dem Stand zu den "Helden von morgen". Auf ihrem zweiten Album Life Decides aus dem Jahr 2016 begeistert die Band ihre Fans und Kritiker gleichermaßen mit dem etwas experimentelleren und klar härteren Sound und war dem Rock Hard im Mai des Jahres den Titel "Tipp des Monats" wert. "The Neverending Now" zeigt Surrender The Crown dann zwei Jahre später (und im achten Jahr ihres Bestehens) als selbstbewusste und durch zahlreiche Live-Shows zusammengeschweißte Einheit, die ihre Stärken voll auszuspielen weiß. Das Album beschert der Band nach dem Vorgänger "Life Decides" erneut die Auszeichnung "Tipp des Monats" in der Juni-Ausgabe des Rock Hard. 2019 erscheint der Song "Bring The Rain" im Rahmen der EP "Ready For A War" und wird bis heute mehr als zwei Millionen Mal gestreamt - einer der größten Erfolge, die Surrender The Crown bisher verbuchen konnten. Am 29 September 2023, veröffentlicht die Saabrücker Hard Rock Band, SURRENDER THE CROWN ihr viertes Studio Album "IV - THE HEALING".

Out on May 3rd, "Anniversary" is the new studio album from critically acclaimed artist Adeem the Artist. The album was produced by Butch Walker who has produced hits for artists including Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Pink, Katy Perry, Panic! At the Disco, Dashboard Confessional, Avril Lavigne and many others. This record is the continuation of a project that they began four years ago, directing their attention both inwards & outwards simultaneously and to exact correlating values so that they might be able to unbind the inner workings of themself while imagining new tools for stitching the fabric of society together again. It mostly just made some gay people like country music again.
