This was Doris' jazz album though it contains more than a hint of Joni Mitchell, Led Zepellin and the like. Backed by her husband Lukas Lindholm on bass she was able to lay down some seriously funky bass lines on tracks like Don't and Beatmaker. On You Never Come Closer, an experimental track that was way ahead of its time, Janne Carlsson unleashes a fearsome sound on drums helped by Bernot Egerladh on organ.

The world just got a little bit warmer again with this upcoming debut album of D'Marc Cantu. Fantastic new LP on Pin Cushion Records featuring eight superb tracks of the finest funky rock, folk and soul. The A side kicks off with the awesome funky monster 'Save Me', an absolute dancefloor bomb with slamming b-line from Nanette Workman's self titled 1976 LP. Next up is the super funky 'Lucky Lost Sin', a wicked female vocal funk-folk-jazz cut that also works well in the clubs, followed the great uplifting vibe of Rory Block's 'Lovin' Of Your Life'. Closing this side we have the wonderfully laid-back 'Santa Cruz Mountains' taken from Eddie Callahan's hugely in-demand and impossible to find 'False Ego' LP. The flip side features the excellent 'Spill The Wine', a great Rhodes-driven workout from Eric Burden's WAR, followed by David Amram's 'Message To The Politicians of the World', a killer spoken word track over a sweet melody. Next up is Friends Of Distinction's 'Light My Fire', an amazing funky cover of the Doors' classic taken from their rare 1969 Highly Distinct LP and last but not least a cool breezy summer groover from Bay Area band Kingfish whose lineup included the legendary Bob Weir, founder member of The Grateful Dead. A superb selection of tracks, not to be missed.

Klectik014 marks Argentinean producer, Pablo Denegri's debut for the Chicago based label. Pablo has emerged in recent years as one of Buenos Aires most dynamic producers and performers in the techno world. His work has been featured on highly regarded labels such as Dumb-Unit and Unfoundsound, and his live set has been featured at many clubs across Europe and South America.

A strong and hypnotic release from Luke Hess on Omar-S's FXHE label. Recommended

Matt Star returns to Mainrecords. Together with his older brother Locke, who is also the labelboss,
he produced two melodic technobombs, which are predestined for the big floors.
But thats not all. The Maintrack "Gaucho" gets an heavy remix by knowone less than Petar Dundov
in his typical hypnotic melodic style...

We are very pleased to hear how mainrecords developed their style this year!

Second release on iS Records, The A-side, The Future Never Was combines sparse beats and pads held together by a growling stuttered bass, which gives the track an industrial feel but on a techno/house tip. On the flip, Fake The Feeling, draws on sounds beyond the current trend for vintage analogue in an original take on the house blueprint. The B2 track Out of Orbit is 4 minutes 48 seconds of Tech soul, for the floor or the headphones.

It is a great honor for us to welcome such a living legend, a pioneer from the Chicago House scene: Mr K' Alexi Shelby !
At the age of 12 he was already moving in the right circles, befriending Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy whilst frequenting the famous Warehouse. His upbringing in Chicago in the 70s and 80s meant that he was exposed to a range of genres and different styles of music including Stevie Wonder, Prince, Curtis Mayfield and David Huff. These same names would prove to be the roots of his influences.

Follow-up 4 Track 12' to the first Volume that was released earlier this year.In line with the concept of these two EP's, the tracks were again taken from Juergen Junker's
Live-Set, recorded straight out of the machines.

With "Donnerkuppel" and its dramatically beautiful ethereal hookline Robag resets the focus firmly on the floor.

During a time when its more fashionable then ever to sample Kenny Dixon, 'Alright' uses a small and respectable vocal splice that references Ferguson himself, Marvin Belton, & Ferrispark Records.

Space-electronic beats from Saint Petersburg. Please welcome Lyosha Nocow. Dope!

As the US retire each of their space going shuttles it appears that exiting the stratosphere is more difficult than ever. Yet there is one pilot who still makes aural excursions into the cosmos, Roland Sebastian Faber. Since the beginning of Aube Records RSF has been serving up his brand of analogue astronomy, creating lush interplanetary sounds and otherworldly vistas.

rebuilt album is a lp from ethnik groove that includes 6 new remixes from some of the classic tunes (funky moment - gotta go - unexplicable life) produced by paul eg with two bonus tracks.

Once again, Erol Alkan and Boys Noize have teamed up, for what has become a stunning re-imagining of last years smash single 'Avalanche'.. Determined to avoid a taking an obvious route, the pair originally intended to commision a spoken word interpretation- the natural choice was the melifluous Jarvis Cocker.

Second release for the label created by Darkcell. Another step in the deep darkness of the modern techno, industrial, where the sounds come together to repetitiveness. Sounds powerful but always hidden by a fog that makes the original track for a walk in our modern times.

For our 24th release, we decided to bring you guys again the ultra talented producer from italy : SIMONCINO.
