When Belgium’s Bonzai Records released Cherrymoon Trax I “The House Of House” in 1994 it was like nothing I had ever heard before. It is a masterpiece that captures the energy and euphoria of rave culture from the mid 90s in such an iconic way. I picked this track out of my record collection a few months ago and felt compelled to create a tribute to this groundbreaking work.

It was in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced me to Victor Ruiz while he was staying here in Berlin. I invited Victor to my studio where we had a fantastic session, playing our music to each other, listening to stuff we like and simply talkin and connecting. Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks. The result is our first joint EP, of which I am very proud.
This album was professionally recorded in the 80s at the legendary Klub Foot venue in London.

Mit dem Ziel, die Fixierung auf einen speziellen Musikstil, den bis dahin die anderen Vintage Dances zelebrierten, zu durchbrechen. Es sollte keine Grenzen geben, also begaben unsere drei sich auf eine lange Reise, immer auf der Suche nach neuem schwarzem Kleinvinyl für die Sammlung, möglichst oskur, aber mit der Prämisse, den Tanzboden zu füllen. Inspired by his trip to London last year and a visit to the Bugz In The Attic studio, Kid steps up his game with a Broken Beat banger. A chopped up Jazz Funk breakbeat with a heavy Moog bassline lick and some keyboard action. This Bruk tune will definitely get the dancefloor moving.
