Luigi Nono (1924–1990) genoss während seiner gesamten Karriere große Anerkennung. Als zentrale Figur
des Nachkriegsserialismus trat der venezianische Komponist in den 1950er Jahren als eines der drei Mitglieder der „avant-garde trinity“ neben Karlheinz Stockhausen und Pierre Boulez in Erscheinung.
„Contrappunto“ wurde 1968 für 2-Kanal-Tonband komponiert, in einer Zeit, in der Nono sich intensiv für
die internationalen Studentenbewegungen sowie gegen den Vietnamkrieg engagierte. Nono stützte das
Werk auf eine Madrigal-Komödie von Adriano Banchieri aus dem frühen 17. Jahrhundert und erklärte,
er habe „versucht, die Art des musikalischen Prozesses widerzuspiegeln, den Banchieri verwendete: die
Konzentration auf die Stimme, die Einbeziehung von Klangmaterial der damaligen Zeit, humoristische und
parodistische Verzerrungen, insbesondere in den lyrischen und dramatischen Elementen … aber in der heutigen Aktualität“.
Roland Kayns „Cybernetics III“ nimmt auf beeindruckende Weise die Fortschritte in den Bereichen Synthese, Computer- und Aufnahmetechnik sowie die Entwicklung von Samplern und Sequenzern vorweg. Die
Art und Weise, wie diese Werkzeuge von den Künstlergenerationen, die in Kayns Fußstapfen traten, aufgegriffen wurden, hat die Rahmenbedingungen der elektronischen Musik grundlegend verändert. In diesem
Sinne hat „Cybernetics III“ tiefgreifende Veränderungen im kreativen Denken vorausgesehen.

Biesmans: "I grew up with the Serious Beats compilations and started buying my first vinyls around the time "Can You Feel The Pain" got released. Remixing this project really felt like a full circle moment for me."

T-Spoon is a Dutch Eurodance project founded in 1991 by rapper Shalamon Baskin (known as Shamrock) and producer Remy de Groot (known as Prince Peration). They had multiple hits in the UK, Australia, Canada, Israel, Ireland, Scandinavia, South America, and, of course, their home country, the Netherlands.

The group released its debut single, “No Time To Waste,” in 1993, which became a European top‑10 hit. In the years that followed, T‑Spoon scored a series of international successes with tracks such as “A Part of My Life,” “Where R U Now" and “Take Me 2 the Limit.”

In 1997, they became known for the summer hit "Sex on the Beach" which reached the charts in the Netherlands as well as Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom.

This brand new Greatest Hits collection is now available on vinyl and features all of T‑Spoon’s biggest successes, plus an exclusive bonus mix of “Sex on the Beach.”

Atlantic was the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Simon Harrison. Following a successful ghost-writing career and his bands Stranger, Simon wanted to make an album in his favoured AOR/Melodic Rock genre. Heavily influenced by bands like Whitesnake, Journey, Bad English, FM, Heartland and Dare he set about writing the songs that became the first album entitled ‘Power’.
"Power" was first released as a CD back in 1994 on the Music For Nations label and subsequently re-released in 2008 on Escape Music (ESM176). Atlantic raised many eyebrows with this release which can be ranked alongside bands such as “Heartland” "Dare" and "Shy" (Tony Mills also guests on the album!).
Band members include Simon Harrison on guitar and keyboards and the great Phil Bates (Trickster/Quill) on lead vocals, guitars and keyboards. The album had so much potential at the time it is a shame that it did not receive the recognition it richly deserved. Francisco D’Argento may not have been a pioneer of the Italo Disco movement that emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s, but his sun-soaked, refined approach captured the spirit of the era with unmistakable charm.

While D’Argento received critical attention from local press and music journals, his work unfortunately never connected with a wider audience. In later years, his output gradually slowed, and his early recordings slipped into obscurity.

With the support of the D’Argento estate, this forgotten gem has been lovingly restored and remastered from the original ½-inch tape, bringing new life to an overlooked piece of Italian electronic music history.

This release presents the original version, an uptempo, high nrg direct italo cut featuring D’Argento’s own vocals, alongside the voice of his second wife, actress and model Eleanora D’Argento.

A new collaborative project between Neil Jones (lead singer of Stone Foundation) and Nick Corbin (founder of New Street Adventure), bringing together two of the UK soul scene’s most distinctive voices and songwriters. The project also features legendary keyboardist Mick Talbot (The Style Council) and bassist Ernie McKone (Galliano / The Brand New Heavies), creating a band rooted deeply in British soul tradition while pushing the sound somewhere fresh.

The seeds of the collaboration were sown during the Covid-19 lockdown, when Jones and Corbin joined forces for a marathon live-stream performance that quickly gathered momentum online. The result is Silent Stream — an album steeped in soulful songwriting, rich musicianship and understated groove. The lead single captures that spirit perfectly: warm, reflective and melodic, built around classic soul textures, Hammond organ, and a rhythm section that breathes with the ease of seasoned players. For fans of contemporary British soul with classic influences, the track sits comfortably alongside artists like Paul Weller, Michael Kiwanuka and the wider Acid Jazz / modern soul movement.

It’s a meeting of kindred musical spirits — born in lockdown, but very much built for the long road ahead.

Angetrieben von einem erneuten Popularitätsschub - ausgelöst durch das offizielle Musikvideo auf YouTube, das über 9 Millionen Aufrufe verzeichnet und weiter wächst - kehrt die Single nun in einer brandneuen Pressung zurück. Diese Ausgabe verfügt über eine bedruckte Hülle mit dem Original-Artwork und ist auf nur 500 Exemplare limitiert. Der Track selbst ist eine Neuinterpretation des Songs mit voller Bandbesetzung, der ursprünglich ihr 2018er Album ,Golden Days" abschloss, wo er in einem reduzierten Arrangement mit Klavier und Gesang erschien. The third release for Parallel Line comes from Aberystwyth-born, Berlin-based, Severin Black. He works closely with woodwind, electronics, low-end and feedback, runs his own label Archaic Vaults, and has played everywhere from the ICA to a 460-year-old church with a giant pipe organ. The last album, Country Music, featuring Pavel Milyakov and Vanessa Bedoret, showed how far his Celtic-rooted improv style has reached across the experimental dub community.

The EP opens up with a flute loop leading the eerie track "Brandy", not quite like anything else. "Yarmouth" goes darker and more ritualistic, with haunted stepper vibes. Then the B-side is nine minutes of "Cautious (Dub)", a stretched-out live take that takes you on a slow, dreaded journey.
