Dean Spunt"s all-new Basic Editions is an excursion in electronic sound that instrumentally unpacks his fascination with language - in this case, the syntax of systems and processes. By turns meditative, compulsive and consumptive, Basic Editions distills a 64 voice module through a head full of ideas - somewhat like pouring a cornucopia of possible ambient moods and EZ listening impulses backwards through a funnel, inspiring a deceptively absurd rainbow of soul to spray out the other end. With this new release, Dean IDs his process as "using sounds, rather than making sounds". This approach to music-making is a train of thought that"s been rolling out from the far horizon of the past for ages now - but for Dean, whose previous works within and without No Age depended on their making of sounds, it"s a fresh work stance. Given, however, No Age"s traditional sonic manipulations (via loops and treatments), Basic Editions delivers further unexpected hard-rights and lefts in the non-aesthetic aesthetic that has defined Dean"s path over the past two decades. Steering toward wacked digital soundscapes that bounce colorfully across the stereo azimuth, Dean creates a kind of post-ambient neo-exotica that hinges upon a giddy conflation of cosmic and comic.

After many years, Piano Progression is finally remastered from the original DAT source, previously thought lost, meaning this is the full length version that was originally released back in late1993. This track has become legendary with its epic rolling and ever evolving piano line and deep jungle breaks and bass.

Remastered by Beau at TenEightSeven mastering, it sounds better than it ever has before!

On the flip side is a "part two" that has taken 30 years to arrive. A new continuation of the original piano line, which was played by Mad Mind Jox (from Smart Es / Bang! fame), part two reunites these legendary artists for the first time, and makes for another absolute classic piano anthem.

Hazardous 07 Special Edition comes with a pair of slipmats !

Superb collab between Mr Gasmask and Epidemie (Ketoksid/OB:Cur).

A side brings an "Hybrid" as they call it, between trance and Hardtek, supported by an Acid melopopeia...
The Flip is a unique peace of Elecytronic Art : a travel into Acid history from the ambient to the HardBeat with some break high time. It's a pure jewel !! One of the biggest tunes i ever heard...

MUST HAVE !

The Album “Prawda Cel Przeslanie” (which translates to “Truth Purpose Message”) by the polish duo Trials X, which officialy came out in the year 1995, was the first ever hip hop album that was released in Poland. 30 year after its recording The Very Polish Cut Outs are reissuing this obscure gem for the first time on vinyl (the original album was a cassette only release). It is often said that pioneers don’t have an easy life. Being a protoplast in a given field, you lay the foundation for the fruits that others will reap, often forgetting your achievements. This is not entirely the case with Trials X, as the band's contribution to the history of the Polish hip-hop scene is widely known and appreciated, but mainly only among raps biggest enthusiasts and diggers. This special 30th aniversary vinyl edition will hopefully introduce this pionieering album to a wider audience which will apprieciate its strong points but also shortcomings as it is a big piece of eatern european hip hop history.

Bobo Integral Records announces the Deluxe Edition of "Dead Calm", the debut album by The Boys With The Perpetual Nervousness, available September 13, 2024. This edition enriches the original tracks (now remastered), which were met with immediate success and critical acclaim, with new material and acoustic demos. Also incorporates an expected insert with all lyrics. Upon its initial release in 2019 by Pretty Olivia Records, "Dead Calm" was celebrated for its melodic craftsmanship. Purepopradio praised it asa "masterpiece of melody and harmony", Powerpopaholic rated it 9/10 and included it in their "best of 2019 list for best power pop this year", and Section 26 recommended it as "Presque indispensable". After two other records, "Songs From Another Life" and "The Third Wave Of_", that are now cult classics in the genre, it's the time to come back to the record that started it all. The Deluxe Edition offers fans an exclusive track from the original sessions, "Wouldn't Be Anywhere Else", and six acoustic demos that provide insight into the band's creative process. Reflecting their musical influences, such as The Byrds, R.E.M., Big Star, The Go-Betweens, Teenage Fanclub and the classic power pop era, the band's sound is a contemporary homage to these inspirations. Andrew Taylor is the leader and soul of Dropkick, a wonderful Scottish power pop group with touches of altcountry. Gonzalo Marcos is part of the cult Spanish indie pop group El Palacio de Linares and founder of the Bobo Integral Records label. The two forged a friendship during Dropkick's first tour of Spain and Dropkick ended up releasing a couple of albums on the label. "The most perfect voice in jangle/power-pop at present (sorry Teenage Fanclub fans!)" - Janglepophub

20 years of The Go! Team"s Thunder Lightning Strike, 20 years of lasers through tracing paper, orange tone oscillations, cable access hangover, music made through sunburnt circuits, a K-tel dream sequence, a haunted vision mixer, station wagon-core, straight to video, VHS in distress, something in the fog, fluff on the needle, chromakey constellations, a hovercraft on the fret board, maxing the minute maid, faxing a car alarm, a Morse code pep talk, etch-a-sketch jackknife, a daily Haley"s comet, light sound colour motion, a holiday from yourself... CD and LP are packaged with a recreation of the original CD-R version of the album that stands up as a document of band leader Ian Parton"s unique method of working.

Zu den Hits zählen „Thank U“, „Unsent“ und „That I Would Be Good“.

Originally released in November 1984, Limahl’s debut solo album ‘Don’t Suppose’ is to be reissued on recycled lavender vinyl to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The album is probably best known for the aforementioned ‘Neverending Story’. As well as featuring in the film of the same name (which is being revived for the big screen once more), it more recently found a whole army of new fans when it appeared in the final episode of the third season of Stranger Things. Set in 1985, the song is sung by Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and his long-distance girlfriend Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo) as a way to reconnect after not seeing each other for some time. Following the season's release on July 4, 2019, interest in the track surged; viewership of the original music video had increased by 800% within a few days according to YouTube, while Spotify reported an 825% increase in stream requests for the song.

Further reflecting on the album Limahl goes on… “I can’t believe it’s been 40 years, yet sometimes it feels like yesterday! Looking back now, it's surreal to think that at just 24 years old, being born and raised on a Wigan council estate with no family connections in the music business, I was thrust into a whirlwind of travel and appearances to promote my music worldwide via TV, radio, and press—long before the internet.

“I’m excited to imagine where and how the song will continue its journey. It’s amazing that it still feels relevant 40 years on. I’m not too shy to say how immensely proud I am of its achievements.”

Diese „men of Steele“ waren wieder einmal fleißig!
