Berliner Studios die originalen Vierspur-Bänder mit eigens für die Produktion der Serie entwickelten Technologien in 100% analoger Qualität (AAA) neu gemastert und geschnitten. Die klanglichen Unterschiede
zu den Originalveröffentlichungen sind beträchtlich: Größere Klarheit, mehr Feinheiten und Verbesserungen

Same Quality, just without numbering. THE ORIGINAL SOURCE is a new series of celebrated albums reissued on vinyl. These new releases include Claudio Abbado’s fascinating interpretation of works by Debussy and Ravel with the Boston Symphony Orchestra (1 LP), the legendary recording of Brahms’s Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 2 with Emil Gilels, the Berliner Philharmoniker and Eugen Jochum (2 LPs), and Verdi’s Messa da Requiem in the iconic version of Herbert von Karajan and Berliner Philharmoniker (2 LPs). The renowned Berlin-based Emil Berliner Studios are remastering 4-track recordings from the 1970s, using their own cutting-edge and 100% pure analogue techniques (AAA) to create versions of the highest possible audio quality. Compared to the original releases, the advantages in sound are outstanding: More clarity, more details and a better frequency response, less noise, less distortion, less compression – the highest possible audiophile quality which gives listeners the chance to enjoy this repertoire like never before.
Produced on 180g virgin vinyl by Optimal, these limited and numbered releases will be issued in deluxe gatefold editions featuring the original artwork and liner notes, with additional photos and facsimiles of the recording documentation on the inner sleeve. Claudio Abbado hat nur wenige Aufnahmen für EMI Classics (heute Warner) gemacht, darunter Mozarts Flötenkonzerte mit Emmanuel Pahud. Diese Live-Aufnahme von Verdis Messa da Requiem ist zweifellos eine bedeutende moderne Version des Werks. 2001 stand Claudio Abbado kurz vor dem Ende seiner Amtszeit als Chefdirigent und künstlerischer Leiter der Berliner Philharmoniker, als bei ihm Magenkrebs diagnostiziert wurde.
Dennoch konnte er dieses Requiem von Verdi in zwei Konzerten von besonderer Bedeutung dirigieren, die eine bemerkenswerte moderne Interpretation des Werkes boten. Mit von der Partie waren ein herausragendes Solistenquartett, drei der renommiertesten Chöre der Welt und das berühmte Berliner Orchester. Nun erscheint diese Aufnahme als 2 LP-Set.
After the A/V performance at Up To Date Festival back in 2022, Claudio PRC’s “Unda” project is going to be released as LP on vinyl and digital next September 2023.
Claudio PRC’s upcoming ambient album is a sonic journey through ethereal landscapes and intimate atmospheres. Drawing inspiration from the waves and their movement, “Unda” (in Sardinian native tongue “wave”) evokes a sense of calmness and introspection. Throughout the whole piece, Claudio PRC creates a blend of meticulously crafted organic and synthetic elements that seamlessly integrates together, showcasing his versatility as an artist and his commitment to exploring all facets of electronic music. With its textured layers, this work offers a soothing and reflective musical experience, inviting the listener to escape into a world of contemplation and meditation.

This work takes its origin from the collaboration of C. Rocchetti with the Parma-based Fondazione Lenz, a contemporary theatre research collective/organization. Inspired by the writings of Hölderlin and Calderon de la Barca, and orbiting around the concepts of ›memory‹, ›sedimentation‹, ›presence/absence‹, Rocchetti produced several hours of music, a selection of which is collected in this album, that marks the 5th entry Die Schachtel’s series »Decay Music«, perfectly fitting its mission, which is to explore the ›intangible‹, ›decomposing‹ borders between experimental sound and ›proper‹ music with a special focus on the more interesting experiences of the contemporary Italian scene.

Philharmonia Orchestra and Carlo Maria Giulini - under
the auspices of Walter Legge, the legendary artistic
director of EMI, who hired the pianist. The Chilean pianist
is an immense Brahmsian, and here he delivers a
masterly version that is at once heroic and tragically
profound.
The LP benefits from a new remastering in 192htz/24 bit
done in 2022 from original tapes by Art & Son Studio,
Annecy.

This time, Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin were invited to Finland to perform a Dario Argento two movie set, opening with a live accompaniment to Profondo Rosso and finishing the night with a striking rendition Suspiria. Recorded on May 19th 2019 and mixed and mastered by Claudio Simonetti himself in his studio in Rome, Svart are proud to release limited vinyl editions of the Live Soundtrack Experience.
These exclusive jewels come wrapped in gatefold jackets with sumptuous new artwork by the master Eric Adrian Lee, including new lobby card designs of shots from the performance as taken by the photographer Marco Manzi. Both LPs are available on limited black and even more limited red vinyl. Get closer to the creepy mystique and jarring horror of this quintessential Simonetti’s Goblin soundtrack, live and in the flesh!

Sardinian “Claudio PRC” is a well renowned name in the scene, known for the peculiar, meditative and introspective sound he’s delivered over the years. Claudio is no stranger to our label, kindly gifting us his beautiful track “Void” on the AWRY005 compilation early last year.
With his forthcoming release “Insel,” he shows us different sides of his sound, creating 3 tracks with varying moods, each dedicated to experiences during his time in the city of Berlin. The B side features a remix of “Ost” from label owner Wrong Assessment, marking his return to AWRY after his “Asa Nisi Masa” EP release."

'TENEBRE' is the 1982 Giallo masterpiece from Director Dario Argento. Although his frequent musical collaborators Goblin had disbanded while he was filming, Argento managed to convince three members of the group to reform and record the score to TENEBRE.
Claudio Simonetti, Fabio Pignatelli & Massimo Morante re-assembled in their studio and managed to deliver one of the greatest soundtracks of the 80's, Simonetti brought with him his love of Italio disco and the mixture of solid disco grooves and their intense, tight Prog Rock stylings is nothing short of astonishing.
The lead track is a vocoder lead freakout that mixes disco, rock with church organs, and screeching synth leads and that pretty much sets the tone for the entire record.
'TENEBRE' is far more electronic based than the majority of the bands scores for Argento and it really shines alongside other classic such as SUSPIRIA and DEEP RED.
