“External signals and signs combine until the recipe feels right, both musically and from being ‘out there’,” Slater adds. “10 years since I released Arc Angel on Ostgut Ton, and it’s a fitting pleasure to combine live show ideas and studio work for the new album, served up with raw energy” That patience runs through his whole Ostgut catalogue; since Temporary Suspension brought its machine-tooled weight and alien feeling to the label in 2009, each P.A.S. release on Ostgut Ton has been its own quest for discovery, from The Messenger’s search for sounds not yet present in club music to Arc Angel’s focus on melody to the deep hypnosis of Plantae.

His new album, Planetary People has the deliberate imagination and depth of a record that took its time, shaped as much by live rooms and crowds as by the studio.

“Into The Night” creates a haunting, dystopic environment of corroded acid saturated in echo, absorbing from the first second. “Labyrinth” breaks into buoyant tribal percussion, modulated chirps trading off over propulsive drums. “Quadrant 10” is clean, delay-drenched techno, buzzing with noise splatters over saturated thuds. “Sermon Of The Light Tides” scrambles metallic bell sequences that distort and evolve throughout, reminiscent of a dial-up modem crossed with a game of Frogger, squelching between percussive bursts and stripped-back kicks. “Brave Cosmo” is tormentingly menacing, eerie synths panning around buried vocal fragments over frantic percussion. “Retina Burn” rolls on fierce, cement-mixer 909 cycles, rave stabs over a ride that locks you in, the whole track stuttering and repeating before stripping back to a bare echoing kick and building itself again. “Thunder Major” barrels on open hats and reverb-drenched claps ricocheting through twisting wreaths of delay, mesmeric and relentless. “Beton Brut” marches juggernaut percussion stamping through hall reverb so vast you can visualise the room, the darkest and most unrelenting track on the record. “No Ninja” crunches in metallic and immediate, a wiry plucked lead threading through glitch with the bass held low and deep, mixed so precisely you can see every layer stacked in your mind’s eye. “Ha Jam” is danceable techno with plenty of funk and a sophisticated looseness, a vocal laugh bouncing off clanging metal blocks and rave stabs. “Lynx” lowpasses its rave stabs and crystalline beeps, chirpy hats ticking, cold metal repeats, old school and mesmeric. “Generation Slip” closes everything out, ominous and churning, skittering percussion and electrical sparks rattling through steel, a freight train barrelling on into oblivion.

Tech-metal outfit FALLUJAH expand horizons and solidify their position as one of America’s most exciting artists on their new album, Xenotaph, through Nuclear Blast. For well over a decade, MONOLORD have caused mass riff hypnosis with longform epics steeped in repetition, volume, and heaviness. One of heavy music’s most consistent and beloved bands, MONOLORD are gearing up for their next chapter with a new album titled Neverending. In looking for a new take on the genre, MONOLORD approached the legendary producer Sylvia Massy, known for her work with Tool, System of a Down, and Johnny Cash, among many more. The payoff from this new process is undeniable. Neverending feels like the culmination of 13 years of heavy, molten music, with a keen eye towards creating a sharper album. “The recording of this album is an example of the spirit of MONOLORD’s camaraderie,” says bassist Mika Häkki. “We’ve looked back and seen for the first time how much we have done as a band collectively, and realized what an intense 13 years it has been.” "The lyrics on this album are more personal than before because I went through some major life changes in the last couple of years,” guitarist/vocalist Thomas Jäger says. “I usually write about religion and how people are superstitious, but this record is more about relationships between people. But it’s not all about me. Sometimes I’m writing from another person’s perspective.” Neverending’s lead single “You Bastard” offers listeners a sharp contrast: A propulsive groove offset by lyrics about suicide. There’s two sides to suicide,” Jäger points out. “There’s the person who commits suicide and the people who gets left behind...The choruses represent the person left behind, and that person is calling the other a bastard—but it’s not pointing fingers or saying, ‘You suck.’ It’s more like, ‘You left me here with all the bullshit.’ It’s an understanding that life is not easy." Though it might not be immediately obvious, album opener “Iodine” was inspired by 70's rock epics like Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird,” The Eagles’ “Hotel California,” and Led Zeppelin’s “No Quarter." Elsewhere, album closer “It’s Neverending” is the first MONOLORD song that Jäger doesn’t sing on. Instead, the death-metal style vocals are performed by former Entombed bassist Jörgen Sandström, (also of Grave, Domedagen and Firespawn.) 13 years on, MONOLORD’s path takes a new turn, and Neverending becomes the band’s most befitting album title. “It's been a wild ride and still is,” says drummer Esben Willems. “I've spent a quarter of my life in this band. Looking back, I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished along the way, and in many ways, this album feels like the essence of everything we've done so far. My mindset is the same it's always been, to be the absolute best the three of us can be.”

Crystal Clear Vinyl. Incendiary Device (I.D.) was born from the ever-burgeoning hardcore and punk scene in New York City. Founded by NYHC journeyman, documentarian, and filmmaker Drew Stone (vocals), and Tristan D'Graves (bass), Incendiary Device's music is steeped in early hardcore and classic punk while inescapably maintaining the edge and grit of their New York roots. Produced once again by the band and Neal "Zum" Ostberg (Fryette and Sound City amplification) and mixed by Dan Korneff (My Chemical Romance, Lamb of God, The Devil Wears Prada).

A quarter of a century after the original release, Hans went back to it and re-pressed Wako 2 himself.
Since the original only had two tracks, two new ones were added in the same style.

Recorded at the legendary Sear Sound Studios in Manhattan, the album captures Novoa alone in the studio, embracing the artistic challenge of vulnerability, introspection, and creative freedom that defines the solo piano format.
'After several years working primarily within piano trio settings and other ensemble configurations, Novoa turned inward, embarking on a deeply personal sonic journey. Solo (I) marks a pivotal moment in her artistic evolution and establishes the foundation for a new series of solo recordings.
'An active and respected member of New York’s experimental and creative music community, Novoa prepared extensively for this session through months of solo performances - mostly in Brooklyn - leading up to the recording. These included a standout solo concert at the Brooklyn edition of the New York Forward Festival, where her approach to the solo format fully crystallized.
'On Solo (I), Novoa expands the traditional piano vocabulary. While the grand piano remains her primary instrument, she also performs on Fender Rhodes and electric harpsichord (the latter to be explored further in upcoming volumes), incorporating Chinese gongs, additional percussion, vocals, and even whistling on select tracks. The result is an intensely intimate and sonorous experience - raw, cinematic, and emotionally charged.

Massimiliano Pagliara celebrates 20 years of music production with a special anniversary compilation on Funnuvojere. The release brings together solo productions and collaborations spanning a rich and abundant period that began when Pagliara acquired his first analogue machines, five years after moving to Berlin from Milan, where he worked as a professional dancer and choreographer.

The compilation features 20 previously unreleased tracks, deeply infused with italo grooves, wonky bass-lines, balearic pads, drama, love, sex, and dreams. These tracks evoke a wide spectrum of moments, ranging from intimate, pleasure-driven home listening to full-blown dance-floor euphoria. Throughout the compilation, one can feel Pagliara’s enthusiasm for discovery—his excitement in encountering new machines and immediately putting them to work.

Pagliara’s sonic identity is unmistakable, present in every track and in the compilation as a whole. Like the facets of a crystal, the music reflects his many nuances while maintaining a strong, coherent core. Tracks such as Waves of Desire pay homage to Dream House, reimagined through contemporary production with cosmic tones and infectious drums. Alan Backdrop returns to Space Trax with a five-track EP that sharply crystallizes the label’s sonic identity.

Geoglyph is the new duo project by Alohn and Khey Mysterio, a convergence of two deeply singular practices into a single subterranean signal. Their debut album arrives as the eighth reference on Organic Signs, not as a collection of tracks but as a carved artifact: six inscriptions pressed into vinyl, mapping a sonic territory where time, rhythm and texture are no longer linear, but layered like geological memory.

Through Geoglyph, Alohn and Khey Mysterio convey a message from below, or beyond. A pulse engraved from forgotten times in the basement of reality, reactivated by abyssal basses, vibrating layers and fractured textures. Exhumed from the subterranean strata where psychedelic dub, mineral techno and fractal dubstep fuse into raw energy, their music becomes a point of contact: every beat, every silence, every oscillation acting as a coordinate toward another perception. What unfolds is not simply sound design, but an invocation, rhythms as sigils, timbre as gnosis, signals that seem to arrive already charged with intention.

Across the album, Alohn’s guitar notes fall like cascades through the mix, dissolving at times into controlled feedback and crystallizing into melodic fragments that hover between tension and release. These organic gestures are interwoven with Khey Mysterio’s dense low-end architectures and rhythmic frameworks, creating a constantly shifting terrain: from weightless transmissions and ritualistic voices to moments of overwhelming propulsion where the music suddenly breaks open with tectonic force. The record moves fluidly between meditative suspension and explosive motion, never settling into a single state for long.

A strong undercurrent of what has come to be known as “druidstep” runs through the album, a term coined within the 95 Open Tabs universe to describe a form of dubstep untethered from genre convention, rooted instead in bass as ritual, in groove as invocation. Here it meets dub-techno pulse, psychedelic echoes and high-velocity 4×4 pressure, drawing subtle influence from underground bass cultures without ever becoming referential. The result is a body of work that feels both ancient and forward-leaning, cyclical rather than linear: a living geoglyph that reveals different meanings depending on how (and where) it is read.

As the final movement accelerates into its closing phase, the album releases its energy outward, with frequencies stretched toward their limits, leaving behind the trace of a completed ceremony. In this sense, Geoglyph’s debut stands as a defining moment within the Organic Signs continuum: a record that unfolds rather than explains, offering an experience to be entered, absorbed, and carried. With this release, the label continues to explore new sonic spaces, evolving and expanding while giving deeper meaning to its own essence. A message from beneath the surface, waiting for those willing to tune in.

On her second EP "Reality Check", Kuoko continues to make her way and search for her own answers. On the follow-up to her debut "Lost Woods", her electro-pop sound remains mystical and spherical, but, as the title implies, this project sees the Hamburg-based music producer deal with a number of quite tangible, personal and social topics. On songs like "Floating" or "Hiding in the Dark" she reminds us to follow our guts despite the ever- increasing pressures of society and technology . Despite the heavy undertone, the atmosphere remains positive all throughout the EP as Kuoko"s crystal-clear voice floats through the elaborate, ethereal soundscapes that she created. After putting out her debut EP in 2018, playing several live shows - three of them at the Reeperbahnfestival - and winning a local award for emerging artists (Krach + Getöse), the young multi- talented artist now invites us to check out her latest work. Accept this invitation and give it a listen. It"s definitely worth it.

With past releases on storied labels including ZamZam Sounds, Moonshine, Scrub A Dub, Lion Charge, LavaLava, and Khaliphonic, the duo opted to forego labels for this one, instead dropping the first release on their own AEE3 imprint.

The main mix of the title tune is a pounding dystopian slow-stepper collab with old friend & sparring partner Ishan Sound, dusted off and rebuilt after years on dubplate. Shot-through with stinging percussion, swirling with leaden atmospherics and dread truths, this one’s an absolutely uncompromising piece of supremely heavy steppers.

RSD’s remix opts for crystal clarity, extra layers of percussion, an emotional mid-range melody, and of course the huge bassweight Rob Smith is known & loved the world over for.

Om Unit’s “Kaliuyga Verse” recenters the tune on deeply spiritual indigenous wisdom spoken by Floyd “Red Crow” Westerman. This long-form rework fleshes out the instrumentation with classic UK dub percussion and FX, plus flute and much more, transmuting the original’s darkness into something magisterial and hopeful while maintaining absolute heaviness.

AEE3’s "Southeast Rock" closes the EP with a slower tempo meditation powered by a melodic bassline, chopped drums, dub tech stabs and righteous horns, an introspective ganja tune that will stay with you long after the runout groove.

Who could have imagined that Ryo Fukui had left behind a recording like this? Captured on June 8, 1977, this previously unreleased live session was recorded at the Sapporo jazz club Vidro by Masataka Ito, the producer behind Fukui’s albums Scenery and Mellow Dream. It is unmistakably the Ryo Fukui Trio of that era, yet the performance possesses an overwhelming intensity and freshness that far surpass any studio recording—excitement in its purest form.

The 16-minute, searing performance of “Mellow Dream” is just the beginning. The propulsive energy of “Speak Low”, the beautifully woven lyricism of “Body & Soul,” the blistering drive of “Love For Sale”, the weighty depth of “Mr. P.C.”, and the crystalline fragility of “My Foolish Heart”—each track is delivered with feverish brilliance. It was this very live recording, excerpts of which were evaluated at the Trio Records headquarters at the time, that ultimately led to the production of Fukui’s second album Mellow Dream. In every sense, this is an extraordinarily precious document.

Downtown Boys have pushed relentlessly forward as an artistic and political project since their founding. Singer Victoria Marie and guitarist/singer Joey La Neve DeFrancesco first met at union meetings while working together at a hotel in Providence, RI, writing many of the band's early songs about labor organizing and exploitative workplaces. The quintet is completed by Joe DeGeorge (sax/synth), Mary Jane Regalado (bass), and Joey Doubek (drums). Over years of touring, and three acclaimed albums, Downtown Boys have continued to grow as artists, musicians, and organizers. Now, the band has arrived with Public Luxury, an enthralling album that keeps politics front and center while summoning the band's most urgent and powerful sound to date. The definition of Public Luxury falls very much in line with that of the title of the second Downtown Boys LP, Full Communism. Straight up, Public Luxury means, "everything for everyone." Victoria Marie's grandmother-a monumental figure for the band throughout their existence-passed away in May of 2025, and her influence looms large over the album; the songs "No Me Jodas" and "Sirena" are crystallized representations of the love between a woman and her ancestor. Beyond the loss, rage and frustration of the present, Public Luxury points boldly towards a vibrant, open-hearted vision of both music and the world: "Our music is simply for anyone and everyone who believes in the new future we can make together," Victoria Marie declares. Following a successful first volume of the newly launched DC4 compilation this summer, Volume 2 arrives featuring four on-point singles from the label’s extended family of artists, alongside a string of label debutants. Heerhorst & PETER PAHN return to the fold following their contribution to ‘Dark Clouds’ with Teenage Mutants, a former Beatport no.1 and highlight of 2023 for the label. Rising German artist Kos:mo mints his first release on DC with ‘Samsara', a fierce acid techno cut that takes on a life of its own in the second stanza, equally fit for a film soundtrack as a dancefloor, such is its dramatic arc. OZBEK & Zafer Atabey are mainstays of the Turkish techno and tech house scene, ‘My Culture’ is drenched in attitude, a slick slice of punchy dancefloor grit, with a foot in house, techno and electro, driven by a rapped vocal line.

For the ninth installment of his Hardspace series, Len Faki once again dives into his personal vault to present four reworks that bridge the gap between raw funk and modern, high-impact club dynamics. A1. DJ Assault - U Can't See Me (Hardspace Mix) The release opens with a relentless edit of Detroit legend DJ Assault. Faki takes the raw Ghetto-tech energy of the original and embeds it into a massive, modern framework. While the iconic vocal hook retains its street-level grit, the Hardspace update provides a significantly tighter groove and a powerful low-end presence, propelling the track from the warehouse straight into the present.
A2. Myles Sergé - Trans Milenio (Hardspace Mix) With Myles Sergé, Faki explores more hypnotic territory. He extracts the driving, repetitive elements of the original and sharpens the rhythmic angles. The result is a prime example of the Hardspace sound: a deep, almost meditative loop that gains entirely new spatial depth through subtle filter movements and a crystal-clear percussion layer.
B1. Jad & The - Deep Dark Grimey Dancefloor Moment (Hardspace Mix) On the flip side, Faki leans into the brooding atmosphere of Jad & The. As the name suggests, this mix is crafted for the "wee hours". Faki amplifies the "grimey" textures and contrasts them with a stoic, forceful beat. The trippy, almost menacing synth elements are rearranged within the stereo field, creating an immersive pull that is impossible to escape.
B2. Deepchild - Baller (Hardspace Mix) To close out the EP, Faki brings the jacking spirit of Deepchild's "Baller" back into the ring. Through meticulous re-arrangement and quantization, he gives the track the "tightness" essential for a modern DJ set. The playful, bouncing synths remain, but are now grounded by a heavy-duty beat foundation.

Dream Select is the sequel to Pizza Hotline’s 2022 genre-defining album Level Select, continuing his signature blend of nostalgic, video game-inspired drum & bass with a melodic and uplifting edge.

The album continues the UK based producer's journey into the fusion of Y2K video game aesthetics with modern breakbeat music. As the name suggests, DREAM SELECT is a collection of dreamy, hypnotic, and emotionally-charged tracks — built to feel like they’re from a forgotten 2000s video game that never existed. It draws heavily on the sound and spirit of the PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, and N64 eras and games such as Wipeout and Ape Escape.

Pizza Hotline wrote and produced the album throughout 2024 in his North London studio, with just a computer and a few 90s outboard synths and samplers. The sound relies on obscure and dated 90s sample CDs, as well as hunting through ROMplers and digital synths of the era to find crystalline, artificial, and precise sounds that have come to define Pizza hotline's sound. The result is a focused, minimalistic, and deeply nostalgic record — one that balances texture, emotion, and groove in equal measure.

Zürich-based musician Angelo Repetto returns with his new album Between Worlds: Interference, released on Subject to Restrictions Discs. The record is the result of a unique collaboration with Argentinian visual artist Clara Grabowiecki, extending their immersive live project Between Worlds into a sonic and tangible form.
