The Berlin-based artist joins the dots between bold percussive grooves and distinct cerebral layers, with his productions continuing to receive wide support from DJs and tastemakers across the globe. This return to SHDW's flourishing label features one of his most anticipated tracks to date - a truly timeless warehouse anthem that marks an exciting new chapter for both Regent and the label.

The first remix comes from Steve Rachmad under his Sterac guise. This version channels the spirit of his early work - pure, stripped-back techno at its finest. Tightly programmed and deep, it features burrowing bass and impish synths dancing up top to occupy the mind while the body moves.

Next comes a remix from one of the most innovative producers of our time, Rene Pawlowitz, under his Head High alias, a project reserved for his more house leaning sounds. His 'Power Tool Mix' brings his signature loopy style with thudding kicks, raw hi-hats and twitchy synths - already shaping up to be a summer hit. Pawlowitz then steps out under his renowned techno alias Shed. His 'Forceful Pressure Mix' is a blistering and unrelenting weapon, with rusty textures and powerful bass locking you in its glitches, unresolved loops and booming low end.

A long-overdue return to one of the most singular moments in Nurse With Wound's sprawling discography. Originally issued in 1994, Rock 'n' Roll Station marked a turning point - the album where Steven Stapleton's decades-long engagement with collage, musique concrète, and the outer limits of post-industrial sound first met the hypnotic, rhythm-driven studio sensibility of Colin Potter. What began as a request to rework some of the more percussive sections of 1992's Thunder Perfect Mind mutated, under Potter's hand, into something else entirely: an hour of swivelling grooves, warped exotica, and looping psychedelia, channelling the ghosts of Pérez Prado, Graham Bond, Joe Meek, and Jacques Berrocal into the most rhythm-conscious work the group had ever made. Three decades on, it remains one of the most beloved entries in the NWW catalogue. Issued by United Dirter as a limited LP, this new VIP edition reframes the album through four extended remixes and reworkings, each running close to or beyond ten minutes - a deep re-engagement with the source material by the extended Nurse With Wound family. Joining the usual suspects of Colin Potter, Matt Waldron, Andrew Liles, and Diarmuid MacDiarmada is an unexpected and historically significant presence: Jean-Jacques Birgé, the French composer, filmmaker, and co-founder of Un Drame Musical Instantané, whose GRRR imprint (founded 1975) famously appeared on the original Nurse With Wound List nearly half a century ago. Sofía Viola and Chancha Vía Circuito unite on Oro en Ti, a deeply spiritual collaboration shaped by their shared roots in the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires. Blending Latin American folk traditions with hypnotic percussion, ambient textures, and Eastern influences, the album explores themes of nature, faith, humanity, and inner connection through a warm, meditative lens. Since emerging from the Buenos Aires underground,Sofía Viola has built a strong reputation across Latin America and Europe through her singular songwriting and live performances, earning selections to major international showcase festivals including IMESUR, Circulart, FIMPRO, BIME Pro, and MAPAS. Oro en Ti captures the chemistry between both artists through devotional songwriting and richly textured production, offering an emotionally resonant and transportive listening experience that feels both timeless and deeply connected to the present moment.

Ken Christensen (ECB) brings his long running Love Athletic project to the label on side A, joining forces with Sean McNulty to deliver an enticing blend of rolling, locked-in beats, soulful vocals, restless cowbells and psychedelic TB-303 acid lines. Jobu (Freaky Behavior) remixes, wrapping warming synth motifs and echoing vocal snippets around a deep tech-house groove. Over on side B, Dan Laino takes over with 'Under the Lights', a chunky and bumpy slab of lightly garage-influenced deepness. This in turn is reworked by Cory Wells, who opts for a more hypnotic and locked-in vibe.

Born at the turning point between apartheid and democratic South Africa, the Xitsonga bubblegum-disco duo Chibuku embodies the energy of a time of change,as Nelson Mandela was released from prison and kwaito began to emerge. Althoughthey did not achieve the fame of figures such as Paul Ndlovu or Penny Penny, their only album Maxambe (1992) is now considered a precious time capsule, a raw disco treasure rediscovered by lovers of forgotten music. Behind the project is Dr Joe Shirimani, a guitarist, singer, composer and producer of genius from Tzaneen and Soshanguve, recognised as one of the major architects of South African disco and bubblegum. Long overlooked, Maxambe nevertheless bears witnessto an era and a social perspective: migration ("Lekomfere"), debt and economics ("Xikweleti"), and family relationships ("Mhamazala"). The music is festive in appearance, but deeply rooted in the reality of its time. Released on Tusk/Diamond Music, an iconic label of the 1980s and 1990s bought out by Gallo Record Company, Chibuku is now emerging as a diamond rediscovered from the archives of South African disco. Its name, borrowed from a millet beer popular in several southern African countries, sums up the spirit of the group: popular, sincere and deeply rooted in local culture.

MYKI enters the Neptune Discs orbit with a limited edition 12″, tracing the outer zones of house and techno through deep, dubwise pressure and a distinctly nineties haze. With previous outings on Kalahari Oyster Cult, Step Ball Chain, and more recently R.A.N.D. Muzik x Echocentric, MYKI also co-runs the Tofistock label alongside Olsvangèr.

A vivid display of his range as a producer, the EP moves with ease between direct techno, propulsive trance variants, dub-loaded house pressure, and atmospheric, chord-heavy cuts full of texture and detail. With this project, MYKI explores hauntological aspects of dance music — the space between memory, atmosphere, and club functionality.

Brownswood Editions unearths another treasure from the catalogue, revisiting the Havana Cultura project. Initiated by DJ, broadcaster and curator Gilles Peterson in the late 2000s, Havana Cultura connected contemporary Cuban musicians with global audiences at a time when international perceptions of Cuban music were still largely rooted in the Buena Vista Social Club era.

Instead, the project spotlighted a new generation of Havana-based artists whose sound drew from contemporary diasporic influences - neo-soul, hip-hop and reggaeton - seen through a distinctly Afro-Cuban lens.

One of the project’s most explosive moments came with this Cuban reimagining of Fela Kuti’s classic Roforofo Fight, a track that quickly became a DJ favourite thanks to its live energy and deep rhythmic drive. The band features both Mayra Caridad Valdés (daughter of Chucho) - one of Cuba’s leading contemporary jazz and soul singers and internationally acclaimed pianist Roberto Fonseca.

This new 12" edition pairs the original version with a highly sought-after remix from house music legend Louie Vega, who brings his unmistakable New York Latin house touch, extending the groove for contemporary dancefloors while respecting the Afro-Cuban roots of the recording. The original remix pressing has since become highly sought after on discogs, making this long-awaited return to vinyl essential for DJs and collectors alike.

A meeting point of Afrobeat heritage, Cuban musicianship and club culture, the release reflects Brownswood’s long-standing mission to join the dots between scenes, sounds and generations.

BBE Music’s celebrated J Jazz compilation series reaches its fifth and final volume in early 2026, culminating in a track list that maintains the exceptionally high standard first set with volume one back in 2018. This final volume features a selection of tracks that is as diverse as it is deep, reflecting the rich and varied Japanese jazz scene that spanned from the late 1960s to the late 1980s, a golden era of innovation and creativity. A new collaborative project between Neil Jones (lead singer of Stone Foundation) and Nick Corbin (founder of New Street Adventure), bringing together two of the UK soul scene’s most distinctive voices and songwriters. The project also features legendary keyboardist Mick Talbot (The Style Council) and bassist Ernie McKone (Galliano / The Brand New Heavies), creating a band rooted deeply in British soul tradition while pushing the sound somewhere fresh.

Florian’s Morning is the musical project of Mats Lideborg. Originally from Motala and now based in Stockholm, Mats balances life as a troubadour and songwriter with driving subway trains across the city. His music carries the weight of Scandinavian melancholy, intimate storytelling, and timeless songwriting traditions.

The project grew out of a long-standing friendship between Mats and ionnalee, who first met as teenagers in Motala playing music together. More than two decades later, they reconnected in Stockholm and began revisiting a collection of songs originally written by ionnalee years earlier.
Hearing Mats interpret the material sparked a complete transformation. The songs were rewritten and newly produced, evolving into something both cinematic and deeply personal, somewhere between Bryan Ferry and Elliott Smith meeting in a small town Swedish dive bar at closing time.

Chloe Lula Announces Syntax: A Singular Vision Connecting Ambient Meditations and Hypnotic Techno San Francisco-born, Berlin-based artist Chloe Lula announces the launch of Syntax, a record label that codifies her unique position within the electronic music landscape. Arriving as the definitive home for her work as a DJ, producer and cellist, Syntax follows her established residency at Tresor and acclaimed releases on foundational labels including Mord, Blueprint and the highly esteemed experimental imprint Subtext. Her label is the culmination of a decade spent as both a participant in and a defining voice in the scene—a space where Lula’s deep and cohesive vision of electronic music finally converge. The label’s name refers to the arrangement of elements to forge new meaning, a philosophy Lula applies to her singular musical grammar. Whether through her slow-burning, exacting techno or her instrumental compositions, Lula’s work is characterized by a patience that understands nuance and counterpoint. This vision is reflected in the label's structure: releases will arrive in thematic series that bypass traditional genre markers to focus on atmosphere, immersion and hypnotica. The imprint’s debut, SYN-PLS01, marks the beginning of the Pulse series, a collection specifically engineered for the floor. Phosphor returns with its fifth release and a new chapter for the label’s founders, Blue Vision. As their second EP on the imprint, Machines Will Transform Us (PHP005) confirms the project’s direction: a precise balance between club-driven tech house and more immersive, hypnotic electro textures.

Across the EP, Blue Vision asks a simple question: after spending our days connected to algorithms and modern machines, can repetitive rhythms and mechanical grooves on the dancefloor turn us into machines once again, or instead help us reconnect with ourselves?

Machines Will Transform Us (A1) opens the EP with a driving Italo bassline and tight, tech-driven drums. Melodic 80s synths contrast with sharper electro elements, gradually building tension before a final drop designed for peak-time impact. The track sets the tone for the release: machines transform us as much as we transform them.

Then comes Just a Game (A2), blending spacious 90s progressive and synthwave influences over a rock-solid club bassline and crisp drums. Playing with atmosphere and emotion, the track explores the feeling that we are never too far from a simulation, that maybe everything is just a game. Perfectly suited for introspective yet intense moments, it acts as an ideal bridge between harder tracks in a set.

On the flip side, I Love Acid (B1) is direct, hypnotic, and designed to lock the dancefloor into a steady flow. Stripped back to punchy drums and a raw acid line, it takes a minimal approach that works equally well in early hours or late-night sets. Behind the title lies the idea of acid as both machine energy and mental escape, where repetitive sequences blur the boundary between human emotion and mechanical movement.

As a final touch, Scan Your Brain (B2) shifts into deeper, more immersive territory. Analog pad textures create a drifting atmosphere over a hypnotic bassline and electro drums. With this closing track, Blue Vision answers their initial question by imagining the dancefloor as a space to disconnect from rigid thinking. The vocal serves as a reminder that the brain is constantly overloaded, and that dancing becomes a way to let go, reset, and reconnect.

The follow-up EP ‘No Rain, No Flowers’ is a personal tale of growth through adversity. Reflecting on long-term love, fleeting intimacy, grief, and the relationships that shape us. Rather than offering answers, the 8-track EP sits with life as it is. Imperfect, cyclical and shared. The title speaks to the belief that difficult experiences are not separate from growth, but essential to it.

Musically, the project encompasses contemporary flavours within the realms of r&b, soul and hip hop. It features an impressive collective of vocal collaboraters; Illa J, Devin Tracy, Abnormal Sleepz & PRIDO. Each bring their own distinct perspective, whilst complimenting the EP’s introspective tone; favouring warmth, restraint & lyrical authenticity. Huxley debuts on Rekids with the ‘MIND G%MES’ EP.

UK DJ, producer, and Dumb Safari label head Huxley joins Radio Slave’s Rekids for the first time with the ‘MIND G%MES’ EP, dropping 25th July 2025. The first track, ‘M%ND’, kicks off with woozy and alluring pads swirling round a cuddly but kicking Deep House groove. Soulful vocals and delicate, cosmic melodies rise out of the mix to bring it to a close in style. 'CLUB SH%T' ups the ante with zippy synths injecting some texture to slamming drums that straddle the House and Techno divide, while wispy stabs and warm daubs of sound dance around the cowbells to make this an evaluated late-night tool.

'FEAR N%THING' is a new school cut, with fi ltered loops, sugary chords, and pent-up energy all surging through the dance fl oor. Last but not least is 'ANY1', a sleazy House pumper featuring moody spoken word, a big, rubbery bassline, and slinky, Garage-infl uenced percussion.

In recent years, his Dumb Safari label, the online community R Trybe (co-founded by Ramin Rezaie/BAKKIS) and collaborations with Steve Bug are just a handful of his projects, while his ‘MIND G%MES’ EP for Rekids is already feeding the fi re with support from Jen Cardini, Cromby, I.Jordan, Jennifer Loveless and big room dons, Michael Bibi and Solomun.

Music From Memory presents 'Mood Programs – Extended Play', a two-track release by LA MARR, a new project conceived by Ron Trent. Representing the first in an ongoing series of releases on Music From Memory, ‘Mood Programs - Extended Play’ opens a new chapter within Trent’s deep and continually evolving body of work, rooted in mood-driven composition, spatial depth and the emotional resonance of sound within physical space.

Influenced by ambient and environmental music, New Age, dub traditions, New Wave, Krautrock and HiFi sound system culture, LA MARR reflects many of the formative ideas that informed Trent’s evolving approach to sound and sonic architecture from the early 1980s onward. Rather than revisiting these influences nostalgically, the project recontextualises them through a contemporary production language, balancing analog warmth with precision and spatial depth.

Developed through years of sonic experimentation and research into the physical and psychological qualities of sound, LA MARR extends Ron Trent’s long-standing interest in the relationship between rhythm, acoustics and human connection. Gently unfolding within a spacious, ambient-leaning framework, 'Mood Programs – Extended Play' moves beyond passive background listening toward something more intentional and immersive. Across both tracks, ‘Good Magic’ and ‘Clear’, layers of hypnotic synthesizer arpeggios and gently floating pads gradually unfold alongside organic percussion and subtle low-end movement, creating compositions that feel simultaneously meditative, physical and emotionally responsive. Sound is treated not simply as musical information, but as an environmental force capable of shaping perception, mood and awareness within a room.

'Under the name The 4th Street Orchestra, Dennis Bovell released a series of limited-edition albums in the mid-70s specifically for the UK sound system scene. Yuh Learn! stands as a prime example of Bovell’s creativity and production prowess. With its strong Jamaican Roots appeal, it is a record cherished by sound system selectors, capable of taking every listener on a deep journey through the many shades of dub.
'The album features two of Real Rock Records’ favorite tracks. First, the instrumental The Grunwick Affair, recorded in solidarity with the striking workers of the Grunwick Film Processing Laboratories in Willesden. This historic industrial dispute paved the way for the socio-political shifts of the late 70s and remains a landmark in British labor history. The track was even hailed by Time Out as one of the top 100 songs about London. The horn section features also the legendary Rico Rodriguez, Michael ‘Bammy’ Rose, and Eddie Thornton on trumpet. Also included is the classic sound system anthem Rowing Down The River.
'Presented here in an extended version, Bovell’s vocals ride the rhythm perfectly until a heavyweight dub version takes over. The musicians performing as “The 4th Street Orchestra” deserve special mention. The lineup includes drummer Jah Bunny, a foundation musician who played on crucial albums with Bovell and the late Jah Shaka, and John Kpiaye, a leading figure in the British reggae scene and “Lovers Rock” producer. Tipped by many as a true DJ’s DJ, London’s Isaac Carter has a sound that sits between heritage and reinterpretation. Fresh from his appearance for the London favourites at FUSE’s annual Open Air showcase, Enzo Siragusa now welcomes him to the label for the first time as he brings a collection of cuts that journey into varying corners of the house sphere.

The ‘Disconnected’ EP brings five tracks built around direct function and contrast. ‘Disconnected’ opens with rolling low-end pressure and slinking drums, loaded with swing, setting a clear rhythmic foundation for the project. ‘Bad Girl’ shifts into a more playful space, led by vocal fragments, hazy chords and dubby tones. A new solo album from Seu Jorge reveals his 'other side' on this new solo album featuring Beck and Maria Rita. Produced by Mario Caldato Jr. (Beastie Boys), the album moves between jazz and bossa nova and is the result of a 16-year musical journey.
Seu Jorge is ready to present to the world the most ambitious project of his international career. After 16 years in the making, “The Other Side” finally arrives on streaming platforms in May. A departure from the soul and samba that defined his solo career, the new album is a sophisticated orchestral celebration of Brazilian music, moving between jazz and bossa nova.

The seed for this meeting between the Brazilian soul and orchestral sophistication was planted by a longtime friend and admirer: the legendary producer Mario Caldato Jr., known for his work with the Beastie Boys and Jack Johnson. The partnership, however, goes back further. “It’s not often that you find a voice and talent as vibrant and powerful as Seu Jorge’s. That’s what I felt in 1999, when I met him in Los Angeles,” recalls Caldato. “Since then, our friendship and admiration have only grown, allowing us to create music together with total freedom.”

The spark for “The Other Side” came from a moment of pure sensitivity. “This album was born when I recorded Jorge playing a simple version of ‘Girl You Move Me,’ by the band Cane and Able, on a nylon-string guitar. The performance was very sensitive and dynamic, which moved me deeply,” says the producer.

It was then that Caldato had the idea to invite multi-instrumentalist and arranger Miguel Atwood-Ferguson to orchestrate that demo. The partnership, which began in 2009, blossomed organically. “I shared some ideas with Miguel, and he understood perfectly, creating a beautiful arrangement that elevated the song to a much more luxurious and sophisticated dimension. That experience planted the seed for this orchestral adventure. "

With his characteristically deep, velvety voice, Seu Jorge guides the listener through a repertoire that revives gems of MPB. The artist cites as references the catalog of the German label ECM Records and the arrangements of Claus Ogerman, a conductor who worked with Tom Jobim and João Gilberto.

Recorded in stages between 2009 and 2018, the album is a true work of musical
craftsmanship, created with calm and friendship. The live rhythmic foundations were
provided by Seu Jorge’s band. “Jorge has a lot of confidence in and pride for his musicians, allowing them to express themselves freely. Each one brings a special flavor to every song; this was their album too, ” notes Caldato Jr.

“It was a week of pure joy for me and for all of us, recording and capturing that magical spirit and vibe,” adds the producer, who saw the work come together with arrangements by Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. “When it came time for mixing, everything felt very natural. The album revealed itself and came together magnificently. For me, it’s a timeless album.”

The album features covers of songs such as “Crença” by Milton Nascimento (from his 1969 debut album); “Caboclo” by Arthur Verocai, in a version with psychedelic guitars; and, of course, “Girl You Move Me” by the Canadian band Cane & Able, which inspired the project. Among the tracks featuring guest artists, “Vento de Maio” by Márcio Borges (a hit with Lô Borges and Elis Regina) features an intense duet with Maria Rita. Another major collaboration is with American singer Beck, a self-proclaimed fan of Brazilian music and Grammy winner. Together, they perform “River Man” by the revered British singer Nick Drake.

More than just a compila.on, The Return of The Vagabond – Revisited! On The New Way is a sonic voyage
that rediscovers legendary tracks through a modern lens. It is a project that demonstrates how authen.c
music never belongs to the past: it evolves, changes its skin, and con.nues to resonate deeply with the
present.

The band's name stems from the idea of reinterpreting and renewing what already exists: a creative drive that has underpinned their songwriting and the development of their sound from the very beginning. Following the EP/ demo 4 Little Hanged Toys (Copro Records/Casket Music), they made their debut in 2012 with Technicolor Noise (Zeta Factory), an album blending alternative rock, electronica and industrial influences. In 2015, they released Daytime Sleepwalkers on This Is Core, marking an evolution towards darker atmospheres, in which dark and new wave elements are woven more consciously into their sound. The following year saw the release of DSRMX, a collection of remixes that further expands the project's electronic dimension. After a hiatus due to personal circumstances, the band returned in 2026 with Faithless on Overdub Recordings, an intense, conceptual and political album that heralded a new artistic chapter, deeply influenced by their lived experiences.

Due to demand, ‘Completely Deep Patterns’, the 2025 debut album of the Deep Patterns project of Bristol producer Ben Dubuisson, is to be reissued as a full vinyl release on 14th July. Originally released on very limited edition lathe-cut vinyl, tracks from Deep Patterns have been supported on BBC 6 Music, FIP, Jazz FM, KEXP, NTS, Rinse FM, and SWU; with Electronic Sound magazine describing it as “An immersive 1970s soul bath scented by lo-fi hip hop and dub” and Twisted Soul calling it “Nothing short of a triumph…indicative of its architect’s boundless talents and fascinating vision”.

Lush, late-night tracks rooted in hip-hop foundations, live instrumentation, rare samples, and recurring motifs; the album was crafted in collaboration with a revolving cast of musicians Dubuisson has built deep connections with over the years, including BEAK> bassist Billy Fuller, Dan Harris on piano, Jamichael on flute, and vocals from The Epoch House Choir. Sliding between soul, jazz, library, and cinematic soundtracks, the album is filtered through a gritty, modern Bristol lens. At its heart, it’s a meditation on loss, longing, and the strange beauty of the world we’ve made for ourselves. From running cult Bristol record shop Purple Penguin and co-founding the city’s influential club Native, to his releases as Hundred Strong, Dubuisson has long championed soulful, forward-thinking music. Having collaborated with everyone from Taskforce and A-Trak to Joseph Malik, Alison Crockett, Amp Fiddler and Boca 45; ‘Completely Deep Patterns’sees him push deeper still, weaving a sonic world that feels both timeless and freshly alive.

40 years after its creation, MOß GARTEN – Sekvensstyrd 1981–1986 arrives as a compelling double vinyl LP, diving deep into the early Swedish DIY electronic scene. Inspired by pioneers such as Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire, John Foxx, and The Human League, Mikael Isaksson developed a distinct sound situated between minimal electronics, industrial, synth wave, and experimental sound art. At its core was the sequencer: pulsing, programmed structures forming the backbone of dense, often hypnotic compositions.

Working initially with his cousin Jan or friend Thomas and later evolving into a largely one-man project, recordings were made on cassette tapes and in improvised studios—often under time pressure, frequently recorded and mixed within just a few hours. These very limitations gave the tracks their raw and immediate character. Pieces like “Moderna Kvinnor,” “Soon Soon,” “Ensam,” and “Music From The Border” exemplify the uncompromising, sequence-driven (“sekvensstyrd”) approach that defined this era.

Using an arsenal of analog synthesizers, early sequencers, and drum machines, the project created music that feels at once cold, mechanical, and deeply emotional. Sekvenssytrd 1981–1986 is more than a collection of archival recordings—it is a vivid document of a time when electronic music was conceived as a radical and deeply personal form of expression.

Bristol's Sam Binga & Addison Groove have been friends and collaborators since their 2013 'BS3' EP, released on Modeselektor's '50 Weapons' imprint. This project, the third full-length on Binga’s Pineapple Records, is born from an intense 72-hour session at the legendary Devon Analogue Studios, where the pair were able to explore their mutual love of uptempo machine funk - whether that be Detroit Jit, Chicago
Boxjams or Turbo Electro.

Three days of intense creativity across classic drum machines, vintage analogue synths and rare hardware effects resulted in a collection of raw but powerful audio building blocks - and over the past two years, the pair have been gradually shaping them into what is now a complete project - the BAGS INC album. Across 12 tracks, Binga & Addison explore that exciting space between 140 and 150 bpm - but while it's fast, it's not 'hard'; as you'd expect from the creators, it's still got that wiggle, and the all-important cheekiness for which they're known.

Mastered by Bob Macc @ SC Mastering and cut at the Sony plant in Europe,, the album has immersive and musical detail to warrant deep listening, while maintaining that essential club energy.

MEGAPTERA, the scientific name of the humpback whale, is also the title of the new album by French producer and composer Rone.


Born from an ambitious film project, the record was largely composed at sea, off the coasts of Brittany and Réunion Island, using a modular synthesizer and melodic sketches developed for an almost unreal proposition: attempting to resonate with whales through music.


Following Room With a View—a soundtrack to a performance created with the alternative dance company La Horde, exploring collapse and rebirth—Rone continues his investigation into new imaginaries. If that earlier work emerged from reflections on ecological, social, and technological tipping points, MEGAPTERA marks a shift: away from the city, toward the sea.


Gradually, he moved away from performance toward a more craft-based approach, extending his practice beyond the studio into a wider space of listening, exchange, and fieldwork. Early footage of sailors broadcasting his work into open water—seemingly answered by whale presence—circulated online, generating fascination, but also a growing unease for the artist regarding what these projections might imply.


This tension became the starting point for a longer period of field experimentation, developed in dialogue with scientists, environmentalists, sailors, and bioacousticians. The resulting 15-track album reflects this open-ended inquiry — not only into whether human-made sound can reach whales, but also into how this process can shape a new form of electronic music, and open it towards new deep-sea soundscapes.


Rather than seeking imitation, Rone works with reduction. Drawing on research into cetacean vocalisation, he pares back his language—focusing on frequency bands, repetition, and suspended structures. Minimalism appears less as reference than as natural convergence.

Wet is the fifth full length album by Black Meteoric Star and the 10th release. Black Meteoric Star is a project Rayna started in 2006 when she was living in Berlin that brought together her life long love of dance music culture with spiritual themes, drag, and her formative experiences of S/M culture Black Meteoric Star has always had an avenger quality in Rayna's life and creative work, and this iteration plays that role in response to the current political landscape. Wet celebrates the long standing shared history of electronic music and queer leather/SM culture and imagines a future where these two cultural expressions are re-connected.

Electronic music and leather/SM are both ways that queer people have historically built community, created and shared knowledge, and kept each other safe. The current administration demonizes and villainizes queer people on the basis of a false moral framework of respectability, and its a trick. No amount of acting "respectable" will humanize queer people in the eyes of this administration and get us the rights we deserve. Revitalizing the connection between electronic music and queer leather/SM is a way to affirm the cultural power of both during a time when it has never been clearer that we keep each other safe. Rayna, a transgender woman with a deep commitment to all of these cultural forms, has a strong message to deliver with this album. She has been a DJ and producer of electronic music for over thirty years and has been producing community cultural events for as long. She has also been involved in kink and bdsm for decades and is a well-known and respected DJ in the New York leatherdyke scene. Rayna made international headlines in 2017 when she came out as transgender while touring with LCD Soundsystem. In 2018 she left the Grammy winning band to pursue projects that were more connected with her queer experience, including founding Voluminous Arts a cultural organization that supports trans artists. Black Meteoric Star is a continuation of a thread in Rayna's work that runs through her Paper Eyes project and her role in Black Leotard Front. This thread has a comic book or x rated graphic novel component based around her experiences of being a sad lonely lesbian trans girl who got bullied a lot and found escape and the possibility of being avenged through X men comics and Dungeons and Dragons books.

The follow up to 2022’s ‘Return to the Island’ LP is a new 6 track EP influenced heavily by the evocative powers of incense and a deep sense of escapism. The EP has a more organic sound palette than its predecessor, from both the use of samples and appearance of various guest musicians. Lead track ‘Morning Star’ features long standing collaborator Mike Burn (Udaberri Blues & Mama Capes) who adds his trademark liquid gold lead and rhythm guitar lines with live bass from Fernando Pulichino.

The guest on ‘Savanna’ is frequent Jack J collaborator Linda Fox, who provides emotive and melancholy sax over a Dub House backing track with a particularly dreamy chord progression. The EP features Instrumental Dubs of both tracks, alongside two other new productions, the 80s leaning ‘Hands Across the Sea’ and ‘Wah Fix’, which rounds off the more Dub influenced B side with a 125 BPM bouncy Dub House excursion.

In 2026 the Jura Soundsystem project enters its 10th year and is the creative musical outlet of Isle of Jura founder Kevin Griffiths. All tracks produced at IOJ HQ in Moana, Adelaide between 2022 and 2025 with support from the incense gods of Cedarwood, Jasmine and Sandalwood. The 12” is housed in a 3mm spine full sleeve designed by Bradley Pinkerton.

“Interstate” is the latest EP by Melchior Sultana, a six-track journey through deep house, soulful grooves, and atmospheric electronic textures. Released on his own label, Profound Sound Music, the project blends warm analog sounds, hypnotic rhythms, jazzy influences, and emotional melodies that reflect Sultana’s signature organic approach to house music. From the uplifting energy of “The Definition” and “Life Piano” to the reflective moods of “Cold Outside” and “Other Side,” Interstate captures the feeling of movement, introspection, and late-night escape. Rich in groove and musical depth, the EP delivers a timeless listening experience designed for both the dancefloor and immersive personal listening.

InnerFaces is the project Kartell was working on for summer 2025, just before he left us.


A return to his electronic and club roots, shaped by the more recent direction of Daybreak and Everything Is Here.



After completing the most defining work of his career with his first album, he felt the need to return to a more intuitive kind of music: guided by momentum, groove, and immediate emotion. This new chapter deeply excited him. He still had so much to explore, so much to share.



InnerFaces is also an introspective project. A look back toward childhood, spontaneity, and lightness. This sense of nostalgia has always run through his music, like an invitation to reconnect with who we truly are, deep down.

We chose to preserve the original demos to ensure that Kartell’s artistic vision remained untouched. With the exception of Katu’s contribution to their collaborative track Augustine’s Rave, it was important to keep the raw energy that shaped these compositions.



With his family’s blessing, we decided to make this project public so that Kartell’s music can continue to live on. InnerFaces remains true to his vision: free, vibrant, driven by groove and luminous melodies.
