Legendary Detroit House and Techno pioneer and Women on Wax founder, DJ Minx, drops her debut ‘Energy’ EP for Rekids 13th February 2026. She follows her 2025 appearance on the House of Rekids mix series, and at the label’s Panorama Bar showcase in Berlin, before closing the year remixing Radio Slave & Kameelah Waheed’s ‘All Rize’. Known for championing women in the music industry, particularly Detroit DJs and producers, Minx recruits Florida-native, two-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Kendra Foster for a larger-than-life, jacking title cut. Robust drums, bright synth stabs, and Foster’s uplifting vocal bring the energy before Minx’s ‘You Can’ features an inspirational spoken word vocal, while low-slung rhythm and a deep, crawling bassline drive the track forward.
DJ Minx has been a central figure in Detroit’s musical history since the 90s. Minx has hosted radio shows on WGPR and CJAM, held a residency at Club Motor, and performed at every edition of Movement since 2000. Her contributions have been recognized with the Spirit of Detroit Award and honors from Mixmag and Time Out. Recent highlights include her ‘Queendom’ EP on HE.SHE.THEY., a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, releases on Planet E and Rules Don’t Apply, collaborations with Kevin and Dantiez Saunderson as e-Dancer, and continued headline performances worldwide.

DJ Homicide is a celebrated American DJ, musician, rapper, singer, record producer and radio personality. With a career that spans more than three decades, he has left a lasting mark, mostly as a key member of the multi-platinum band Sugar Ray, though he has also made some fine solo moves. And he backs that up here with a couple of full-fat jams on CA to get the new label underway in style. 'Pause Lion' starts things off with some raw, guttural vocals and low slung boom-bap drums that are direct and edgy and on the flip, 'Ghetto Scenario' rides a more smooth groove with some ragga vocals that call to mind the best of Sean Paul.

ANiML comprises accomplished and storied electronic artists. Their Stratasonic label has become a respected home for their freeform musical explorations, with no genre restrictions. They often call on friends and influential pioneers to collaborate on releases, and the originals they produce are defined by improvisation, creative songwriting, and intentional collisions of different moods and grooves.

'Unioness' is a tender but crisp late-night sound. Soft, jazzy melodies drift over orchestral swells with drum breaks cascading below. Abstracted vocals and serene strings further enrich this sophisticated sound, which draws on soundtracks and instrumental soul groups.

Stoned Autopilot is an alias of long-time studio magician Martin Buttrich, who is also part of Better Lost Than Stupid and has a fulsome catalogue on many of the scene's most recognisable labels. His dub rides smooth waves with aching vocals melting into the mix, and the melodies looped, smudged, and smeared in hypnotic fashion.

The second rework comes from DJ Sneak, the hugely prolific and consistent Chicago house innovator whose famously raw, tracky sound keeps him in a class of one. His fantastic Big Bawse Re-Rub brings a rolling four-four groove, a delicate sprinkling of percussion, and a loopy rhythm that locks you in and zones you out as curious melodies unfurl up top.

2024 Repress

One of the defining releases on Large Music gets a special re-issue after a 16 year wait. Considered by many to be one of the top 3 packages in the early Large catalog, this EP set the trajectory for what would quickly become known as the "West Coast" sound of American House. The main vocal on side A also became a venerable classic at the Shelter in NYC and was played consistently by Timmy Regisford throughout his tenure there. The darker, more disco filtered tones on the flip side were also highly praised and played at the time by French DJs such as Daft Punk, Phil Weeks, Cassius and many others. Rasoul is often overlooked as one of the chief architects of modern Deep House, yet this release certainly secures his elite standing in the annals of House Music history. Essential!

In 2016, a year after the 50th entry in the long-running series, none other but the iconic Detroit artist, DJ and producer Moodymann stepped up to helm the next landmark edition of DJ-Kicks, his first ever multi-artist DJ mix compilation. Following !K7's 40 th anniversary, this classic DJ-Kicks mix is now being repressed on coke bottle clear vinyl.
Born Kenny Dixon Jr., Moodymann is a one-of-a-kind electronic music icon, hailing from, and wholly synonymous with the Motor City. He is an outspoken, impossibly charismatic artist who has been putting a distinctive and soulful stamp on house and techno since the early 90s. Melting together jazz, funk, soul, blues and rock in captivating ways, he is responsible for some of electronic music’s most definitive tracks, EPs and LPs on labels like Planet E, Peacefrog and his own KDJ and Mahogani Music imprints. As able to serve up the sweetest and most sensual sounds as he is the darkest and most depraved grooves, his own unique voice and stream of conscious musings infuse expertly sought-out samples for music that is decisively alive and authentic.

Across 75 minutes and 30 tracks, Moodymann does not disappoint: despite being a notorious vinyl fetishist, Dixon’s aim is to present music of quality, not to one-up fellow collectors. Rather than serving up ridiculously rare or hard- to-find records, he instead focuses on creating a libidinous, blues-drenched mood that takes in heart-breaking soul, gorgeous hip-hop and love-fuelled house.

In addition to cuts from his own creative circle, the mix features 11 exclusive Moodymann edits. Like everything Kenny Dixon Jr. touches, his DJ-Kicks showcases the taste, skill, and soul of a dance music original.

Over the course of the week I recorded „NO SMOKING“ which is going to be my first Vinyl Release as „DJ Real Madrid“. No Smoking contains 4 Tracks: „Ta Ta“ which is a Juno-driven deep homage to the god of funk „Johnny Guitar Watson“. „Leave It Be“ is a big percussive jam that tells you to mind your own business. When I knocked out „GGGGGG“, I invited Dino Brandao and Mel D over to jam on the microphone, which led to a dark humorous ode to the insanity of our world. The last track is called „Merlasco“ and brings back the hope that we all will come together in the morning sunrise!

For SIDE B's fourth release, an EP by Portugal's own DJ Dextro is in line. Ultra efficient, fine tuned techno is put under a microscope by the international mainstay for this record. Using high pressure in the low-end and creative textures to decorate the tracks, Dextro solidifies his place as a mainstay with a biting performance on home turf. Balancing his uncompromising sound with mystical synth work, Dextro opens 'Lost Frame' with the title track. In this A1, he rolls straight into a tunnel with flashing percussion and lurking melodies far out in the stereo field. Dancefloor focused but with a hint of mysticism, 'Lost Frame' creates a captivating ambiance to introduce the project with promises of earworm groove. Quick to follow up, 'Disclosure Of Who We Are' sees more space between the elements, creating a whipping effect in the rhythm and rich in sound design. Synth stabs cut through a booming kick, creating urgency in an EP that was lacking none to begin with.

This spirit is maintained on the record's flip to the B side - this time with an added bit of funk and shuffle. 'Liberdade' throws a vicious synth sequence forward for peaktime use and sees Dextro define his space with concentrated transitions and booming percussive hits. Swinging along with the occasional vocal sample to emphasize the obscurity, the producer maintains his delivery of razor sharp focus in all of his elements. To conclude, 'Panoplia Abstracta' settles things with an ambient, even meditative fourth track. Staying insistent with his kick, Dextro lets go of the wheel to drift his record from the body to the mind with progressive arrangement and soothing textures to see off a whirlwind of an EP for SIDE B records. American DJ Homicide aka Craig Anthony Bullock is best known as the former DJ for Sugar Ray but also does a fine line in club-ready hip-hop jams and remixes. 'Likwit Swordz' kicks off his latest on the small but well-formed CA label out of the USA. It's got nimble drums that have a clipped bounce and vamping chords, vocal grit that echoes Cypress Hill and an infectious roll. On the flip, 'Day Coastin'' is more deep and smooth - the bars as silky as BIG and the drums rolling with crisp boom-bap style. Both have been made on an MPC and that sampler's famous textures elevate the final jams no end.

&Me, the chunky critter, did it again! This hypnotic one-off was stoically crafted to be lifted into the next dimension with thousands of people. Where the hospitality of all-encompassing love and euphoria awaits with arms raised and eyes closed.

Mano le tough found the original Muddy Funster so boring that he ran out of cigarettes. Even as a non-smoker! With his congenial version of this evergreens, this deranged pig forces his cranky perception on us and takes us into a mystical world in which no two stones are alike, but whose unique construction represents an earthquake-proof pyramid of love whose dimensions have perfect relationships to the size of the earth and to mathematical laws. Illumination feat Roísín Murphy as Mano Le Toughs needs A Birra Light Remix persistently pulls us music-loving dance muffins under the disco ball with all the TikiTaka tricks in the book, only to let us go and spin gloriously free at the crucial moment. DJ Stepmom is an LA-based producer and DJ originally from Minneapolis, and one half of the electro-funk duo King Pari (Stones Throw/PPU). N1_SOUND & Ras Yunchie join forces on an 8-track LP that transcends both definition and generation. INNA DJ STYLE, out November 7th, marks the Toronto veteran singer’s first-ever vinyl release.

Pairing four vocal cuts with four dub versions on the b-side, INNA DJ STYLE bridges experimental dub, digi, and roots, embodying what Ras describes as an “open” sound—one that draws from reggae traditions while boldly breaking new sonic ground.

N1_SOUND first encountered Ras’ distinctive voice and soaring falsetto at Toronto sound system parties. A cornerstone of the city’s reggae scene, Ras Yunchie has been performing since 1983 and remains a vital presence more than 40 years on. His contributions have been recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National DJ Association, alongside titles such as DJ of the Year, DJ Sound Champion, and winner of the 1985 DJ Sound Clash.

While the rhythms pulse with heavy bass and the three-dimensional lead melodies synonymous with N1_SOUND, it’s Ras’ vocals that make INNA DJ STYLE truly shine. Each track was recorded in a single take and left largely untouched—a testament to the raw talent and enduring artistry of the 61-year-old singer. Across the four vocal cuts, the alchemy of contrasting styles, influences, and lived experience highlights how collaboration can push sound and genre into bold, unexpected territory.

Helsinki based newcomer DJ Sofa debuts on Up Ya Archives Records with the release of 'Lionheart’, the title track to their forthcoming EP, landing on the 12th November 2025.

Drawing inspiration from pioneering duo Digital & Spirit, ‘Lionheart’ channels a moody, mysterious energy. Driven by an organic-meets-machine dub sensibility, the track weaves hypnotic chants and meditative basslines into a soundscape that’s both harsh and mesmerizing. Letting the amen break breathe, ‘Lionheart’ captures an emotional intensity that runs throughout the wider EP.

Rooted in a love for 90s and early 2000s jungle, DJ Sofa’s production pays homage to the era’s raw sound and spirit whilst pushing it forward. Conceptually, the record explores bravery, self-determination, and finding strength in uncertainty. It’s a personal statement of resilience and creative growth from an artist carving out their own path.

Despite operating under this alias for only a few years, DJ Sofa has already made waves with standout releases on Future Retro, with a Tim Reaper collaboration titled ‘Helsinki to London Connection’ and N4, Straight Up Breakbeat, and Ruff n Tuff. Alongside other statement releases which are reminiscent of nineties jungle and their childhood love of The Prodigy, their performances at iconic nights such as Rupture London have cemented their rising status in the scene.

PD002 takes flight in the form of a lost, deadeye jungle bird scavenging for his next trinket. It captures the raw energy and playful, feral sound that defines the Pelican Dub aesthetic: a blend of primal rhythms, hypnotic textures, and experimental intensity.

Belgian label Serious Beats Classics, renowned for reviving essential club tracks for new generations, proudly announces a new remix of the iconic dance anthem "Johnny Vicious feat. Originally launched in 1998 on Groovilicious and later immortalized in the club scene with DJ Wout's explosive remix, this timeless track is now reborn with a brand-new remix from DJ Licious.

A fixture of late-'90s raves and clubs around the world, "Ecstasy (Take Your Shirts Off)" became synonymous with sweat-soaked dancefloors and euphoric nights. With DJ Licious's remix, the track fuses the original's raw energy with modern production power, making it as irresistible today as it was in 1998.

"As a kid I was dreaming of becoming a DJ/producer and when I started going out to raves this tune was smashing every dancefloor I went to," says DJ Licious. "Now being able to actually remix that song makes this a full circle moment for me."

Effortlessly charming, inquisitive and generous in spirit: 'Total internal reflection' is the beautifully crafted debut album from DJ ojo, returning to Blank Mind, following his acclaimed 2023 EP ‘Coiled up’.

The vivid sound design, irreverent flourishes and elastic rhythms of his past work remain, yet here he leans further into his enduring love of house and techno music. An impressionistic take on the forms, with a light, considered touch that allows his idiosyncrasies to shine through. It is functionality that is the key embrace: eight tracks, two discs, two tracks per side. A cohesive body of work purposefully presented to be played out. These guiding principles complement the uniquely skewed style of ojo: there’s always a groove, but it might trip over itself; there’s always a sense of cohesiveness, but it’s never clear; there’s always a dancefloor, but it’s slippery when wet.

The record features art by photographer Thomas Steineder, who interprets the record visually, by bouncing light through analogue film wrapped around a prism, capturing a reflection turned inward.

With ‘Total internal reflection’, ojo has somehow become even more himself, refining his vision into something playful, profound and enduring.

Born-and-raised Detroit staple DJ Holographic unveils her album, House In The Dark LP via her newly launched label, Through The Veil.

The LP taps into the core of Afrofuturism that defined the foundation of Detroit techno but reimagines it in a femme, queer, and conscious way. The project draws from her deep-rooted relationship with astrology and shadow work—a therapeutic practice used to explore and heal repressed parts of the self.
