It feels like a lifetime ago that the first Rat Cage demo tape was spat into the Hardcore Punk underground. Maybe that’s because for the past 10 years Bry Suddaby has been relentlessly chucking out a slew of pummelling records, arming many Punks worldwide with a soundtrack to survival in the modern age of death and destruction.
Fourteen bloody releases later, the third RAT CAGE LP comes crashing in as the state of global horror reaches a grave pinnacle. In true RAT CAGE fashion, the drums relentlessly hammer away under rollercoaster riffs, while Bry’s viciously cynical bark spills the trials and tribulations of trying to get by in 2026.
For the uninitiated, RAT CAGE pulls influence from 80’s Northern European Punk like MISSBRUKARNA or APPENDIX, contemporary Swedish sweet spot Hardcore like HERÄTYS or FYFAN, ripping USHC ala POISON IDEA or OUT COLD, while naturally adding a classic British injection of GBH or THE VARUKERS.
As always, there’s the constant apprehension that you never quite know what’s around the next bend, and with ‘Not Asking for Much’ Bry has cast the net even further. There’s moments that get as heavy as BASTARD, as melodic as the UK SUBS, and even a title track that gets as rocking as the PINK FAIRIES. All amounting to a distinctive and characterful sound that’s unmistakably RAT CAGE.
With little to be hopeful about as we all suffocate within the authoritarian nightmare, this LP could once again be your beacon of fire. So, light the match and burn alone at maximum volume.

On "Distance In Static", Bonobo collaborates with a characteristically impressive lineup of artists, including Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes, Nilüfer Yanya, Ichiko Aoba, Nicole Miglis (Hundred Waters), and Aanya Martin. The lyrics are written in English, Urdu, and Japanese, while historical Iranian samples and guzheng recordings stand alongside Bonobo's carefully crafted instrumental sounds. These were created during recording sessions in Los Angeles, Tokyo, London, and beyond: a significant part of the album was completed at Neil Young's legendary Broken Arrow Ranch in California, where he had retreated for several weeks earlier this year.

The album's title - "Distance In Static" - aptly describes Bonobo's current situation: it evokes images of distorted transmissions and fleeting frequencies, memory fragments and glimmers of meaning that echo through more than two decades at the forefront of electronic music. He sees the traces of his work reflected in a younger generation rediscovering trip-hop, downtempo, and experimental electronic music of the 1990s from a contemporary perspective. "I think the beginning of my work is relevant to younger people today," he says. "I liked the idea of listening for a distant signal - finding something in the noise," he continues. The entire album conveys the feeling of a search for transcendence: music that hovers between intimacy and vastness, the familiar and the unknown.

Within the universe of "Distance In Static", there is also a sense that this album marks something truly monumental. HUG is the new collaborative project from Gyan Riley, Devendra Banhart & Noah Georgeson, three independent artists who also happen to be childhood friends. 7" collaboration between Felix Kubin and Bound By Endogamy who first met in 2024 at a Bongo Joe Records night at Petit Bain in Paris. Stück I explores the failures of a mechanical woman dreaming of perfection - or perhaps the reverse. Stück II takes the form of a prayer glorifying pesticides and those who generously distribute them.

Source Code Memory is a deep and hypnotc house journey built around rhythm, memory and reconnecton. With this new EP, Marcus Raute explores the point where body, mind and dancefoor energy meet, shaping four tracks that move between spiritual refecton, raw groove and soulful release.

Opening track “Reconnect” features legendary Detroit visionary Abu Qadim Haqq, whose spoken words bring a symbolic and cosmic dimension to the record. Hypnotc percussion, warm organ textures and jazzy piano lines create a deep house atmosphere where storytelling and rhythm become one.

Self-made producer Farron debuts on Delsin's Inertia series. Growing up in Southern Germany, Farron has a long history with electronic music, releasing under multiple aliases and for many labels. Since 2015 he launched his own Shaw Cuts imprint as his own personal playground for releasing his own music and from his likeminded peers. Over ten years later it became an essential catalogue for DJ's who are into forward-thinking broken and dub heavy techno. His 'Since Eleven' EP emphasizes this typical sound, four tracks of playful, dub driven classy techno.

Tash, founding member of Tha Alkaholiks, returns with a new EP that brings his signature voice, charisma, and West Coast energy back to the forefront. Known for sharp lyricism, humor, and effortless flow, Tash delivers six tracks that connect his legacy to a fresh chapter.
The project's centerpiece is the "Attention is a Drug" remix, a stacked lineup featuring Sway Calloway, King Tee, Defari, Tha Liks, Xzibit, Will.i.am, and Q-Tip. The EP also includes a classic Wake Up Show remix, bringing in DJ Revolution, Sway and Tech, and the Likwit Crew.

Petrozavodsk is a heavy drone trio based in Porto and Barcelona. They add dub, experimental and improvisational elements to a crushing, drone metal sound.
“Forest Fire” is the band’s vinyl debut, and is a more concentrated, expansive, and heavy offering following their debut tape “Winter War”.
Side A kicks off with “Forest I”, a collaboration with electronic artist Container AKA Ren Schofield (US/UK). The noise/rave veteran remixes the band’s guitars into a hot bubbling swampy mess that feels very alive, propulsive, punishing, yet fun – Container fans would know.
“Forest II” is all dubbed-out drone-rock, with blackened guitar, monotonous low thrusts, and a snare that is coming from an extremely far distance – everything echoing and shaking, dubwise almost-noise effects from the drum kit eroding in wide stereo.
Side B is one longform piece “Fire” with slow-motion guitar washes, and a bass that sounds like a high rise falling down. It nods to the genre’s touchstones (Boris’ “Amplifier Worship”, Sunn O)))) while carving its own path. A downtuned wall of heavy sound.
Recorded in Catalunya and Portugal, all amps turned up high. Mixed and mastered by Moa Pillar in London, with additional mixing on “Forest II” by the band’s guitarist Anton Vasin.

Featuring titles inspired by the spirit and character of these locations, including “Lock Keeper,” “Chalk Lines,” “Amy’s Dream,” “Connaught Jazz” and “Acres Long” A refined, atmospheric and deeply crafted jazz hip-hop instrumental vinyl release from one of the UK’s respected independent Hip-Hop producers.

British composer Simon Goff interprets space, both within ourselves and the objects that surround us with Interior Realms - vol.1; a wondrous, contemplative work of electronic chamber music.

The idea first came from the philosophical idea underpinning the book Interior Realms, published by Theatrum Mundi in 2021. In it, a collection of essays reflects upon architecture’s influence on the human spirit. It challenges us to think not only about music as space, but also about how architecture can shape our ideas of composition. It also asks us to think about how space can make us experience music internally differently.

Interior Realms, the album, inhabits this idea and creates a dreamlike, atmospheric arch between its outer and inner parts. Joyous, immense and light-filled compositions sits side by side with the almost pure silence and introspect of its inner core. Goff wanted to create parallel compositional voices, performing them in various locations, each offering its own sonic character, unique spatial sounds, and reverb. Together with his long-time collaborator, Lynn Wright, the album was recorded in the Großer Wasserspeicher, Berlin's oldest water tower, and at the Grunewaldkirche, a location known amongst others from being the birthplace of many great works by artists such as Nils Frahm, Dustin O´Halloran and more. Cellist Anne Müller appears alongside Goff’s violin and viola on several pieces as they improvised and interacted with each other in the resonance of the space.

In addition to his own endeavors, Simon composes primarily for film and has collaborated with Hildur Guðnadóttir, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Peter Broderick among others. His collaborators has left an inspiring mark on him, all while standing firmly on his own feet with grand intention and results as heard on this absolutely brilliant atmospheric work.

Early into their collaboration as Turning Jewels Into Water, Val Jeanty and Ravish Momin adopted the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians’ longtime credo “Ancient to the Future” as a lodestar. Perhaps it seems like a riddle, but the AACM motto offers instruction to take what is sacred from the past and pull it into the present, using new means to make music that resonates with your lineage. Jeanty emigrated to the United States from Haiti in the mid-’80s, while Momin was born in India but now calls New York home. Since improvising together at Pioneer Works in 2017, Momin and Jeanty have integrated a world of beliefs and sounds—voodoo and hoodoo, mbalax and drum circles—into kinetic music made with cutting-edge electronics, from Sensory Percussions drums to Smart Fabric MIDI controllers. They pull the past into the present, then use it to imagine a better future.

Héritage Mélodies is the meeting point between saxophonist and composer Jean Vernhères and Black Stamp Music, brought together by a shared passion for the warm colors of music, groove, and the beauty of sound.

Nurtured from an early age by jazz and African-American music—from blues and soul to hip-hop—Jean Vernhères also ventured into Highlife, Afrobeat, and Funk, exploring the fertile “Black Atlantic” that runs throughout his musical journey.

For his first album as a bandleader, he brings together Pierre Bauzerand on Steinway piano, Laurent Vanhée on double bass, Guillermo Roatta on drums, and, as a special guest, Alfio Origlio on Fender Rhodes and piano. Six original compositions where Soul Jazz, Latin Groove, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, spirituality, and intimate melodies come together.

With "Jamaican (Bam Bam)," HUGEL and SOLTO breathe new life into Sister Nancy's iconic anthem - a bold, rhythm-charged reinterpretation built for the modern dancefloor. It grips from the first beat: dynamic drumming, crisp claps, and a bassline that rolls deep with sway and sensuality. Layers tighten and unfold, teasing the body as electronic tinctures flicker beneath, building lift and slow, simmering tension. Through it all, Sister Nancy's voice cuts steady and alive, grounding the track in its roots while driving it forward. The energy keeps rising vibrant, climactic, and free. Of course everyone knows Kurt Hauenstein aka Supermax. He was one of the few Austrians to shape the sound of late 1970s disco, performing and selling records around the world. Not many know his daughters Judy and Nicola, however, and the fact that they in 1987 wrote a song that they recorded together with their father. Well, here it is: Cracy Coconuts, “Rubberdub Dance” a true Hauenstein family affair. We are proud to re release this super rare 7” that proves, once and for all, that Austrians can excel at digi dub. Timelessly tropical and beautifully bouncy, its vibe is quite different from the iconic Supermax productions. Here, Judy and Nicola’s sweet yet confident vocals replace the moustache driven sotto voce singing that we love Supermax for. The result is oh so catchy and bound to be a hit.

"Lados B" is a deep dive into the high-level spontaneous music made by Villarreal, Parker, and Butterss across those two days in 2020. Villarreal is heard leading the group through various rhythmic modes and structures for improvisation - flow as informed by the Latin funk of Fania Records as it is by the otherworldly humanity trance of Brain Records - while Parker and Butterss draw on their extensive experience playing free together (as heard on their ETA IVtet LPs) to build harmonic buoys for their spontaneous melodicism. The result is a beautifully vivid illustration of context, creativity, and collective composition from a particularly rich moment in history.

Following the global impact of 2001's Nigeria 70, which helped introduce rare Nigerian recordings to international audiences, Nigeria 80 continues the journey, unearthing a rich, restless, and wildly creative decade of music from Lagos to Enugu. Despite economic instability and restrictive political conditions in the 1980's, Nigeria’s music industry flourished, driven by a growing network of independent labels such as Tabansi and Phonodisk, which championed local artists and expanded creative freedom. The 1980s also marked a significant rise in visibility for female artists, with trailblazers like Onyeka Onwenu helping to reshape the landscape and open doors for a new generation of performers, writers, and producers.

Nigeria 80 showcases the extraordinary breadth of this era, with all tracks reissued here for the first time. The compilation brings together essential recordings from across Nigeria’s musical spectrum: highlife greats Victor Uwaifo and Nico Mbarga appear alongside Paulson Kalu, whose personal favourite “Akugbue Nwa Ewu” stands out as a prime example of the style. Prince David Bull’s “Soko Soko” (later reinterpreted in Starboy’s Afrobeats hit “Soco”) features as a key touchpoint between eras. Segun Adewale delivers a driving juju workout, while Lekan Animashaun, longtime bandleader of Africa 70, contributes a late-era Afrobeat classic produced in collaboration with Fela Kuti.

The compilation also highlights more experimental and hybrid sounds, from I.C. Rock’s proto–hip hop gem “Advice” to Evi-Edna Ogholi’s self-produced reggae statement “The World”. The set closes with “Apama” by Ibealaoke Chukwukeziri, the “Apama Boy” from Achi in eastern Nigeria, featuring hypnotic vocals and percussion from his Anaedeonu band.

Fold producer Rob Glassett dropped some cheeky garage, dub and tech inspired by his love of pirate radio last time out on this label, and now looks to a deep house sound for the quick follow-up. 'My Phantasy' (Yh Yh edit) is a sensitive sound with a gently tumbling bassline and dusty drums swagger that is infused with a beautiful r&b vocal that has a filtered future sheen that recalls The Weeknd. 'UK $lizzy' is another fresh sound that this time borrows a trap aesthetic for the vocal and works it into a kinetic garage groove that's rich in percussion and doused in late-night love.

This all French affairs finds the eponymous Politics Of Dancing label head hook up with deep house head Djebali for a quartet of kicking minimal tech sounds. The swirling, circular bass of 'The Moment' soon gets your fists pumping, then 'Question' is a little more loose and wobbly - the fleshy bass and snappy snares contrasting one another nicely. On the flip, 'Ball Lightning' starts off with ascending synth lines and urgency in the grooves that will ensure plenty of locked-in dancers with withering sci-fi motifs adding a little cosmic escapism. The closer 'Whip' is the most fun sound - characterful synths and drums that duck and dive make for fresh house with a relentless groove.

Two tracks extending towards the 10 minute marker, very much in the unique style of Robert Mononom which was already being refined throughout his previous 3 EPs, now culminating in 2 excursions throughout deep hypnotic/psychedelic machine made sounds. A side is built on an aggressive triple and double beat kick drum with a very dubby "big room" presence upon which waves of other nuances in noise get overlayed slowly transforming the 165+ BPM experience throughout what sounds like an extended live mix. B side goes in more spacial/atmospheric direction where hi hats take control over the kick, capturing the witness in a whirlwind of dubbed out overlaying rhythmic patterns. A sound so raw and pure in its introspection, clearly showing Robert's capacity of developing an aesthetic of his own.

It’s been one hell of a wild ride for Wine Lips. Originally formed in Toronto back in 2015 as a part-time project between Cam Hilborn (vox, songwriter, guitar) and drummer extraordinaire Aurora Evans, Wine Lips quickly escalated into a full-blown, full-time, full-on international phenomenon. Their debut album took them across North America followed immediately by an intensive and unexpected tour of Hong Kong and China in 2018. They released their massive “Stressor” album the very next year (2019) to rave reviews and massive critical acclaim. Multiple tracks from Stressor charted across North American and European radio, while several songs ended up being featured in broadcast and Netflix series. Endless touring ensued. Then 2020 happened. The band used their mandatory downtime to fully dedicate themselves to crafting their groundbreaking third full-length “Mushroom Death Sex Bummer Party” (recorded by Simon Larochette at The Sugar Shack). The record was released in October 2021 and then shit really hit the fan. The international music press lost their collective minds, penning over 250 glowing features and super positive reviews spanning 35+ countries. At the time of writing, the album blew past 40 Million spins on Spotify alone.

The vinyl release of MDSBP is currently in its 7th pressing with 9 different colour variants. The lead track “Eyes” has been licensed to a metric ton of films, series and video games including ABC’s The Rookie, Hockey Night In Canada and Population 11. Even more endless touring ensued, except this time the venues were huge and mostly sold-out. The 2024 follow-up album “Super Mega Ultra” was an absolute beast. Fronted by fellow Brazilian artist Joni's soulful vocals, "Da Fonk" bridges classic house and contemporary club energy. With a breathtaking pair of intimately interrelated new albums, he applies that bold passion to an uncharacteristically pared-down setting, then transforms those stunning sounds via a startling process of sonic reinvention. ResoNation Trio convenes a new chordless trio with master improvisers Scott Colley on bass and Nasheet Waits on drums. The album's contemplative explorations feel like a departure from the raucous spirit that characterizes so much of the trumpeter's work, yet the trio discovers such an audacious beauty and celebratory gusto in these sparse environments that the music feels uniquely Bernstein's. It is also a rarity in his oeuvre for featuring Bernstein - whose mastery of the little- used slide trumpet has become so central to his sonic identity - exclusively playing valve trumpet and flugelhorn. In parallel with this captivating trio excursion, Bernstein handed the recordings over to his longtime collaborator, the pioneering producer Scotty Hard, to reimagine the album through his own iconoclastic lens. The result is the uncategorizable Ultra Resonance, which finds Hard breaking down the ResoNation Trio session into its constituent parts and redeploying them as the elements of a wholly original, mutant creation.
