Betino’s Records is taking pride in releasing Lucas Moinet Trio debut album. Entitled "Time Travel", it takes us on a deep journey into Jazz Fusion, Funk, Boogie, and 70's inspired vocoder love songs. Lucas Moinet invited his music friends to be a part of the project : Camille Frillex, on bass and Lulu Jems on drums plus a few guests like Illa on vocals, Donald Devienne on trumpet, Lucas Piette on saxophone and Stupid Flash for some additional production. Being a multitalented musician, he composed, arranged the music and recorded the Fender Rhodes piano, guitars, Korg MS20, string machine & vocoder parts in the studio. Through the vocoder, he turned Jazz Fusion into love songs, from the funky "Close to You" to the organic "Crescendolls Are Missing", paying tribute to the Rhodes and vocoder masters from the 70's. Herbie Hancock, Patrice Rushen and Alain Mion to name a few…
The album explores a lot of different styles with the downtempo bossa nova track "Soupir de Caracole" or the deep and atmospheric "New Morning".
Everything was composed, recorded, arranged and mixed at Lucas Moinet's Studio 937 in Paris. The production and recording process took a long time and after many years, the band is really proud to introduce "Time Travel".

Borghesia is an electronic music group, founded in 1982 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The band was formed by four members of alternative theatrical group Theatre FV-112/15: Dario Seraval, Aldo Ivancic, Neven Korda and Zemira Alajbegovic. They established FV Video to self-publish their video projects and FV Založba – the first independent record label in ex-Yugoslavia. Aldo and Dario took care of songwriting, production and recording while Zemira and Neven handled the visuals. In the late 80s the band signed to PIAS and went on to release a string of successful albums and played world-wide tours.

Clones was Borghesia's second album, self-released on cassette only in 1984. The band borrowed synthesizers (Roland SH-101, Casio VL-1, Korg Polysix) and a Roland 808 drum machine from friends. Every song was played live - no overdubs - and recorded to a cassette deck over a few nights at their club Disco FV during 1983-1984. The music on "Clones" is meant to accompany various video installations and performances. All of the songs are instrumental and feature various cutting edge techniques for 1983. Hypnotic, proto-techno and acid rhythms and synth lines. Music on the A Side of the LP is faster and club oriented while the B Side offers a drugged out soundtrack to get lost in.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley directly from the original master tape. Each LP is housed in a silver jacket with original gelatin print by photographer Jane Štravs. A fold-out poster is included with unreleased photos, original artwork and liner notes by Željko Luketić. After 28 years, Borghesia's "music for video" is finally appearing on vinyl for the first time.

Just a year after her critically-acclaimed album Still, Erika de Casier returns to surprise release her fourth album Lifetime.

A sonic moodboard fully written and produced by Erika herself, Lifetime is a testament to de Casier’s singular taste—her ability to pull from the past, to curate sonic and visual references with intention, and to transform them into something uniquely hers. Thoughtfully composed yet effortlessly cool, Lifetime is an album that resonates, proving that Erika’s vision isn’t just about what she creates, but how she makes us feel when we listen.

She began dropping breadcrumbs about the record last month, Erika mysteriously putting a limited set of nameless cassettes up for sale on Bandcamp. Even with no context of what was on it, the tapes quickly sold-out in under thirty minutes and fans began to speculate new music coming. As cassette deliveries began to pour in last week, their theories proved correct. Derrick Gee streamed the cassette live on his channel and fans online began freaking out as they put the pieces together (see here and here!). That so many rushed to embrace the music before even knowing what it was speaks volumes — Erika isn’t just admired, she’s trusted, and with Lifetime, she rewards that devotion in the most Erika way: subtly, stylishly, and on her own terms.

Lifetime follows last year’s aforementioned album Still, which was named one of the Best Albums of the Year by Pitchfork, Stereogum, NPR, Vogue, Vulture and more, and features Blood Orange, They Hate Change, and Shygirl. The album took her on a world tour including a US run that included both weekends of Coachella. She also released one of the best songs of the summer shortly after in the form of “Bikini,” a track with her frequent collaborator Nick León (“Ex-Girlfriend,” “Friendly” Remix) that was named the #1 song of the year by The FADER and Resident Advisor.

Zusammen mit der Ankündigung veröffentlichen Yuuf den Titeltrack der EP, „Alma’s Cove“, der heute auf Technicolour erschienen ist. Reich an organischen Texturen, schimmernden Details und psychedelischen Rhythmen, lädt die Single Zuhörer:innen in die heitere Welt von „Alma's Cove“ ein. „Die Hörer:innen spazieren umher und nehmen die Natur, die Geräusche und die Aussicht in sich auf und schwelgen in ihrer natürlichen Schönheit.“. Zur Single gibt es auch ein offizielles Musikvideo, das eine komplette Live-Session zeigt, die während der jüngsten Reise der Band nach Kreta gefilmt wurde. Die Vermischung internationaler Klänge und globaler Einflüsse steht im Mittelpunkt des Ethos von Yuuf. Selbst die Mitglieder der Band kommen aus verschiedenen europäischen Ländern - aus der Schweiz, Dänemark, Frankreich und England. „Wir vermischen auf natürliche Weise unsere verschiedenen musikalischen Vorlieben aus der ganzen Welt, um den Sound unserer Musik zu formen.“, erklärt die Band. „Alma's Cove“ ist ein Paradebeispiel dafür, inspiriert von klassischer spanischer Gitarre, Americana-Soundscapes und der Musik der Filme von Studio Ghibli. Mustang Island, the third album from Austin-based band Little Mazarn, is a gentle force. Waves of grief crest like surf on the Texas coast. Wild horses break through long-shuttered gates, only to come back around. Lead songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Lindsey Verrill (she/her) joins bandmates jeff Johnston (he/him) and Carolina Chauffe (they/thern), The tensong, collection continues work with Dear Life Records. A full-throated romp through the capabilities of community-minded songcraft, Mustang Island is both naturalistic and futuristic, completely recasting Little Mazarn's origins in primitive folk. Instead, the band reaches towards sonic experimentation and spacious expansion. Lindsey's heart-opening vocals and jeff's singing saw, both trademarks of the project, mix with unexpected bombastic drums, dissonant synthesizers, and a chorus of orchestral oddities. This mid-career ode dances confidently in the creative liberties granted by decades in the game - more dazzlingly lively, and honestly somber, than ever before. The band's crossroads branch across prominent Southern outsider music: On cello, Lindsey has recorded with Patty Griffin and Dana Falconberry. The longtime side player wouldn't write her first song until age 34, Jeff has played in Bill Callahan's band, as well as with LIl Capin Travis and Orange Mothers. Carolina is known for prolific solo project hemlock, Little Mazarn has also collaborated with Lomelda to release their last EP, Honey Island General store (2023), following past LPs Texas River Song (2022) and lo (2019). Alongside silliness and reverence, including covers from Kate Wolf and Bob Wills * His Texas Playboys, griet directs much of Mustang Island. Lindsey left her job of seventeen years teaching cello at a local school, Recording also aligned with the passing of Jeff's facher, a career educator in Jeff and Lindsey's hometown of Dallas. "Grief, and the avoidance of grief, is a big part of being human," says Lindsey. "You make a choice, and then you grieve for the other choice. Or you finish a meal and literally grieve that it was so good. If you really befriend griet, you re like, 'Oh, it's here, in this pancake, which I loved so much that I ate the whole thing, and now it's gone.**

Wise Up Suckers is a compilation album by English alternative band Pop Will Eat Itself, originally released in 1996. It features a selection of 17 tracks from the band, including popular singles such as “Wise Up! Sucker”, “Can U Dig It?” and “Def. Con. One”. The album is notable for its diverse track list, which spans several years of the band’s career, and its representation of the band’s evolution in sound and style.

Wise Up Suckers is for the first time available on vinyl as a limited edition of 500 copies on translucent magenta coloured vinyl and includes an insert.

The new and third album from the fabulous Split Squad, an All-Star band founded by Michael Giblin - producer (notably of The Fleshtones) and the band's bassist and songwriter - joined by the now late Clem Burke (Blondie), Keith Streng (The Fleshtones), Eddie Muñoz (The Plimsouls), and Josh Kantor (The Baseball Project). A Power Pop album and a brilliant follow-up to the already highly acclaimed first two records of the band. From classy garage rock to masterful power pop craftsmanship, Less of Everything is already establishing itself as a major classic and a must-have in the band's discography.

At ATP, the band previewed instrumental and early versions of songs from the then soon-to-be recorded NYC Ghosts & Flowers album, and this exclusive performance was the premiere of “J’Accuse Ted Hughes.” The B-side is a soundtrack-style piece recorded at the band’s Murray Street Studio in 2003 for a never-realized collaboration with French clothing designer Agnes B. The 18-minute-long song was recorded by a five-piece version of the band—the four members of Sonic Youth plus Jim O’Rourke, who also mixed “Agnes B Musique.” This LP will be soon followed by a CD-only release of the band’s Another Side of Sonic Youth Roskilde Festival performance, where the five-piece Sonic Youth line-up was joined by saxophonist/reed player Mats Gustaffson and electronic noise legend Merzbow for an hour of improvised music.

For All The World, the black watch's twenty-fifth (and first double) album is a darkly poppy, brightly moody, many-splendored take on a number of the great themes: Death and Sex, Memory and Lament and Hope and Love. And it is, arguably, this heralded Los Angeles band's most sonically ambitious and moving record yet, since front man/novelist/ex-English professor John Andrew Fredrick formed the group in 1988 in Santa Barbara after he'd seen a London-by-way-of-Canada band called The Lucy Show play to twelve-or-so people in his hometown.

Having recorded 2024's Weird Rooms with producer Misha Bullock and Fredrick's son Chandler at Bullock's studio in Austin, TX, the TBW founder was keen to repeat the experience with, he says, more straightforward, classic psych/jangle/shoegaze songs. The result, though artistically satisfying, spurred a yen in John to write more songs as a sort of reaction against the batch he'd carried with him from LA to Texas. "We had such a productive time recording ‘Weird Rooms’ that I wanted to repeat the experience... without repeating the experience. And once it was over and I left Misha to do what he pleased with respect to mixing and overdubbing, all I could think was 'I need to write another album now.'" So Fredrick brought longstanding producer/engineer and TBW-associate Scott Campbell (Stevie Nicks, Acetone) along this time to help out with engineering and good cheer.

Fredrick, who has been "accused" of being "astonishingly prolific," learned that bandmate Andy Creighton had recently become unemployed, seized the opportunity to have yet another multi-instrumentalist flesh out the new songs he quickly wrote after he came back from Austin. “Achilles Past,” the first single, is in fact a song that John wrote when the production team thought the album was done—and the front man avers that it’s often the case that a very strong song comes to him, as it were, in the eleventh hour. The same could be said for “Listen You Wait”—another number that came late to the Austin sessions.

Nevertheless, the recording of the first half of For All The World has Creighton's signature indelibly stamped on it - especially on such tracks as “Fainting” and “Surely You Rally”- just as the latter half highlights Bullock's formidable talents. "They're both not just brilliant musicians and they understand my aesthetic and bring their own sensibilities to bear on my stuff. Our respective tastes meet in, you guessed it, The Beatles' realm - the great shadow that hangs over all I do, at least."

"There's A Place," the final song on side two, serves in fact as a distinct homage that's been a long time coming for a band that included a cover of "It's All Too Much" as a bonus track and that release a quite punkish, uptempo version of "Eleanor Rigby" on a 7".

Selbst Flo Mounier - der buchstäblich das Buch des extremen Metal-Drummings geschrieben hat - hat neue Techniken verfeinert, um die Blasphemie von An Insatiable Violence frisch zu halten. Zum Abschluss kommt "Malicious Needs" im Schneckentempo daher, bevor es wie eine Fledermaus in eine schwarze Rauchwolke aufsteigt.

FFO: Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Nile

Dummy is a rock band from Los Angeles comprised of Alex Ewell, Emma Maatman, Nathan O'Dell, and Joe Trainor. Their debut full-length "Mandatory Enjoyment" (Trouble in Mind) arrived in late 2021, becoming one of the year 's sleeper hits and garnering praise from Pitchfork, Stereogum, and more. Coming out of lockdown, the band spent two years touring in support of the record, and it is this transformational experience that pulses through "Free Energy ", the exhilarating follow-up to "Mandatory Enjoyment". A creatively restless band, Dummy (Ewell: drums, synths, bass; Maatman: vocals, synths, organ; O'Dell: vocals, guitar, organ; Trainor: guitar, bass, synths) wanted to get harder, dancier, more psychedelic for their next record. This meant applying explorative potentials of electronic textures to the elemental qualities of rock i.e. more vocal loops, sampling, more crazy rhythms, and playful synths - but make those samples of Trainor 's guitar, let Maatman sing bolder, experiment with using cold mechanical elements in warm and sparkly ways, and lean harder into traditional-yet-still-awesome forms of rock guitar experimentation like feedbackThe result is a record that celebrates music's ability to move the body, whether that be through a teeth-rattling wall of MBV-esque noise, a sticky pop chorus, or a joyous drum machine_or, if you're Dummy, maybe all of them in the same song. Pop music has always been a big part of Dummy's sound and it manifests in different ways all over Free Energy: the bubbly synth sequence made with a Korg EM1 popping all over "Nullspace," the revved-up drone-pop inspired by second and third wave Dunedin Sound bands like Look Blue Go Purple and Dadamah, and the motorik beat powering "Nine Clean Nails," perhaps the most confidently pop song Dummy has ever recorded and one that exemplifies "Free Energy "'s balancing of live performance intensity with electronic augmentations, the dancier rhythmic elements created out of a drum loop recorded by Ewell while the bridge recalls the Feelies with call-and-response guitars from O'Dell and expressive vocals from Maatman. "Free Energy " also features guest appearances from Oakland-based saxophonist and electroacoustic artist Cole Pulice (Moon Glyph) contributes saxophone and wind synths and Jen Powers of Powers / Rolin Duo (Astral Editions, Feeding Tube Records).

For Wilkes-Barre's One Step Closer - the concept of home is complicated. "I've never felt so distant in my life," vocalist Ryan Savitski screams on the lead single "Pringle Street," a place in his hometown that binds the album's lyrics to both a precise location and feeling of displacement. On their first ever full-length album and debut for Run For Cover This Place You Know, the band offers a modern coming-of-age story about growing up and grasping both the known and the unknown. One Step Closer started in 2016 and in their short five years, Savitski, along with drummer Tommy Norton, bassist Brian Talipan and guitarists Ross Thompson & Grady Allen have come into their own as a modern hardcore mainstay. Their 2019 EP 'From Me To You' countered existing trends in exchange for a more melodic sound in the vein of bands like Turning Point and Title Fight. They went on to open for Have Heart at the band's now legendary reunion shows that summer, and joined bands like Knuckle Puck and Turnstile on tour before pausing to write their debut album. This Place You Know grapples with the weight of themes like isolation, depression, and loss - all amplified by driving bass lines, em-phatic guitar riffs and unwavering drumming performed by the band. From the first moments of album opener "I Feel So," the stakes are made clear by the anchoring lyric 'this place you know, sometimes it hides the truth and lets people go" - One Step Closer is attempting to resolve the unresolvable anguish of moving on from everything you once knew.

Es finden sich bei "Kopie" Ska-Gitarren wieder, "Geliebt, Gehasst" wurde zusammen mit "Das weiße Rauschen" eingesungen und an ein komplett englisches Lied hat sich die Band diesmal ebenfalls herangetraut. Das Album befindet sich durchgängig in Bewegung und sorgt beim geneigten Hörer durchweg für Überraschungen. Dennoch sind sich "Harte Worte" treu geblieben. Mit erhobenen Fäusten und gezücktem Mittelfinger machen die Jungs keinen Hehl daraus, was und wer ihnen nicht passt und sich besser nicht in den Weg stellen sollte. The buzz about the Crystal Teardrop that has been growing for the past two years looks set to reach fever pitch with the release of their debut album _IS FORMING. Featuring a dozen memorable compositions by the bands Alexandra Rose and Leon Jones, the album more than lives up to the promise of their 2024 single releases and their ecstatic live performances on stages across the UK and Europe. The band formed in Stoke-on-Trent in early 2023, "inspired," explains Alexandra Rose, "by a mutual passion for the sights, sounds and creative experimentation of the late 1960s." In addition to Alexandra on lead vocals on guitar, the band comprises Leon Jones (guitar, sitar), Stuart Gray (keyboards, Mellotron), Ed Quigley (bass, vocals), and Huw Woodward (drums, percussion). Intuitively blending elements of garage rock, folk-rock, power pop and psychedelia, the band have created an appealing concoction infused with their own perspectives and personalities. To best capture their sound, they recorded at an all-analogue facility, Tilehouse studio in North London, working closely with White Stripes producer Liam Watson of Toe Rag Studios fame.

"It's a Love Song" besteht aus zwei unterschiedlichen Versionen seines Songs "All This Violence", die im Januar 2025 in Wien und Dresden mit Saskia von Klitzing (Drums) und Eduardo Delgado Lopez (Bass) aufgenommen wurden. Angesichts der aktuellen Weltlage entschied Brötzmann, mit "All This Violence" ein klares Zeichen zu setzen. Er selbst schreibt dazu: " Schon nach ein paar Augenblicken war klar: was ich hier hörte, hatte die Botschaft, die Kraft und spiegelt unser Zeitgeschehen wieder. Keine von meinen Studioaufnahmen hatte diese Power. Grown through collaboration, Samuel Savenberg’s EP As Bright as a Burning Star stands for a music that evolves and becomes newly tangible in the very moment of performance.
The live EP captures a concert by Savenberg and his band, recorded at the 2024 B-Sides Festival on Sonnenberg near Lucerne. In this setting, the concert with his close musical companions takes on a life distinct from the studio recordings it draws upon, casting the music in a new light: more immediate, vibrant, and warmer.
As Bright as a Burning Star features newly interpreted pieces from Unsung—Savenberg’s 2023 album released via Präsens Editionen—alongside two new songs. The title track had existed in a similar form since 2016 but had never been released—until it was rediscovered by chance during preparations for the concert. The second new piece, "Expressions of Regret", features vocals by Remo Helfenstein, a longtime friend and fellow Präsens Editionen artist.
As Bright as a Burning Star is a labor of love—shaped by shared musical histories and lasting friendships. It is available on cassette tape, for streaming and as a digital release via Präsens Editionen.

Samuel Savenberg is a composer and producer based between Lucerne and Berlin. Following the release of Unsung in 2023, he has presented selected remixes and live performances—the latter mostly in a band setup—and collaborated with other artists, taking on a variety of roles.

Founded in 2011 in the process of launching zweikommasieben, Switzerland-based publishing house and music label Präsens Editionen has released music on vinyl, cassette, CD, and digital formats—alongside magazines, books, and other printed matter. Amazing Space is a new indie all-star band from the west coast music capital of Norway. With a solid foundation rooted in Americana songwriting, the band also draws inspiration from shoegaze, synthwave and krautrock to make music that feels remarkably fresh, energetic and uplifting. Their debut album "Parallel Dreams" consists of eight brilliant tracks featuring rich vocal harmonies, airy guitar solos, dreamy analogue synths, and a touch of lush 80s/90s shoegaze. Black Helium are a psychedelic power trio, based in London. Never afraid to stray from the beaten path, they traverse aural hallucinatory soundscapes; from detuned Neanderthal rock to deep oceans of introspective blissed out psychedelia.

The band consistently gig across the UK (including a two week tour with Japanese label mates Hibushibire late 2024), and have recently started ventures into mainland Europe. And plan to continue throughout 2025.

Mit Watson an der Gitarre, Jack Lawrence (The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, Loretta Lynn) am Bass, Domo Donoho am Schlagzeug und Jo Schornikow und Tina Norwood an den Keys entstand "Scratch It" innerhalb von zehn Tagen in Nashville. Zwischendurch schaute auch Mundharmonika-Legende Charlie McCoy vorbei, der bereits mit Elvis, Bob Dylan und Roy Orbinson gearbeitet hatte und seine Künste für einige Songs einbrachte. Die Authentizität der analog produzierten Songs ist unmittelbar, ein Zeugnis der Chemie zwischen allen Beteiligten, Remy klingt relaxt wie kaum je zuvor. Formed on a rooftop in the East Village of New York City over a decade ago,

The early incarnation was that of a raw and at often melodic black metal band, with their debut album also featuring Fenriz of Darkthrone on bass. In recent years, Dodheimsgard has become known for its eclectic musical ventures and poignant mood shifts, with a less chaotic, more considered approach compared to their earliest works. Following the 'Kronet til Konge' and 'Monumental Possession' opuses, there was a shift in direction as demonstrated on 1998's 'Satanic Art' EP and by Dødheimsgard's third album, 666 International, Vicotnik had taken over a lot of the writing duties, with DHG's style becoming more technical yet ferocious black metal, with strong experimental ideas and industrial elements.

Vicotnik's riffs were inspired by cult bands such as Thorns and perfectly entwined with Aldrahn's delightfully twisted lyrics and immense vocals to create something truly unique. In its 666 International incarnation, DHG (as they were later to be known) featured a line- up of well- respected Norwegian musicians including Czral (Aura Noir, Ved Buens Ends, Virus), Apollyon (Aura Noir, Immortal), plus Mr Magic Logic (Fleurety) on keyboards, as the album was constructed over a period of time. All in all, 666 International is rightly regarded as a highly influential masterpiece of avant-garde metal by many since its release in 1999.

A meeting of minds and bodies on a heady percussive trip with no clear destination, captured live at Espacio Cultural El Tanque in Tenerife. Easy Beat is the second album from Dr. Dog originally release 20 years ago this year. The band self released the album in 2005, burning CDs themselves as a means of manufacturing and hand making CD artwork as they filled orders. Early mail order purchases of Easy Beat where shipped wrapped in discarded pizza boxes that were adorned with drawings and stickers. Dr. Dog spent all of their money at the time ($1000) to make the album which was later rereleased by Park The Van / Devil In The Woods.

Made up of Oscar-winning composer and instrumentalist Hildur Gudnadóttir, veteran engineer and producer James Ginzburg, Senyawa's idiosyncratic vocalist Rully Shabara and Grammy-winning sound designer / producer Sam Slater, while each member brings along a laundry list of accolades, the project is far greater than the sum of its parts. Alloying burnished electroacoustic soundscapes with dense, metallic drones, barbed rhythms and buckled, bio-mechanical vocalizations, OSMIUM's eagerly awaited debut album doesn't try to cast a rigid future. Rather, it tempers a viscous flow of unorthodox speculations that smolders through the distant past, blazing a trail all the way to the frontier of fate. Absorbed by questions about the relationship between humans and technology, tradition and progression, the individual and the group, OSMIUM channel their experience and expertise into a set of forward-thinking sonic interrogations that skewer established cultural preconceptions. And although genre is acknowledged - the album draws from folk, doom metal, 20th century minimalism, industrial music and extreme noise - there's never a sense that it's riveted firmly in place. Widely known for her soundtrack work (including `Joker' and `Chernobyl') Gudnadóttir plays the halldorophone, a unique cello-like electroacoustic instrument designed by Halldór Ulfarsson that allows the performer to harness unstable feedback loops. Taking his cues from this process, Slater (who has worked alongside Jóhann Jóhannsson, Ben Frost and others) generates rhythms using a self-oscillating drum he designed with KOMA Elektronik and Subtext boss and Emptyset member Ginzburg responds in kind, producing booming tambura-like sonorities from a device he developed himself based on the monocord, an ancient single- stringed resonator. OSMIUM synchronize the three unique instruments using a custom system of robotics to generate basic rhythms that underpin their improvisations and experiments, and Shabara's alien tones supply the band with their conceptual fulcrum. The vocalist is one of South Asia's most recognizable underground artists, and the sounds he's able to create using exhaustively rehearsed extended techniques are so distinctive that he's been studied by scientists back home in Indonesia. Never weighed down by needless sound design or modish ornamentation, it's music that feels authentically experimental; OSMIUM have figured out an awkward symmetry between their discrete approaches, concentrating their gaze on the outcome rather than the process. The result is a work of science fiction that's driven by interaction, conversation and sensation.

The Topics waren eine Soul-Vocal-Band aus New York, die vor allem in den 1960/1970ern aktiv war und zunächst als The Uniteds startete. Im Laufe der Jahre kamen und gingen verschiedene Mitglieder. Father's Children waren eine Funkband, die sich Ende der 1960er aus der in Washington D.C. ansässigen Doo-Wop-Formation The Dreams entwickelte. 1979 nahmen sie als achtköpfige Band unter der Leitung von Wayne Henderson (The Crusaders) und Augie Johnson (Side Effect) ihr selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum auf, an dem auch Bobby Lyle (The Genie) und Dean Gant (Keni Burke) beteiligt waren. Die beiden Keytracks des Albums - der oft gesampelte, britische Rare-Groove "Hollywood Dreaming" und der Two-Stepper "Got To Get Away" - werden hier erstmals zusammen auf einer 7" präsentiert, dazu noch erstmals in den vollständigen Albumversionen.

The Dells waren eine Soul/Doo-Wop-Band mit Male-Vocals, deren Sound von Falsettsänger Johnny Carter und dem Bariton Marvin Junior geprägt wurde. Sie gründeten sich 1952 und veröffentlichten von Mitte der 1960er bis Mitte der 1970er auf Cadet in Chicago. Das 1966 erschienene "Run For Cover" wurde schnell von der Northern-Soul-Szene adaptiert. Es ist bis heute ein gefragter Klassiker, der selbst auf dem Second-Hand-Markt kaum zu bekommen ist und dann über 100 Pfund kostet. Auch der Upbeat-Dancer "Wear It On Our Face" (1968) mit seinem dynamischen Arrangement von Charles Stepney und den klassischen Vocals von The Dells ist bei Northern-Soul-Fans bis heute beliebt.

Green vinyl, limited to 500 copies. Helheim, one of the founding pioneers of the Norwegian viking metal genre, are ready to release their 12th studio album "HrabnaR / Ad vesa". On this record, Helheim has made a split album with themselves. For the first time, the main songwriters V'gandr and H'grimnir have divided the album in two, where they solely take care of the vocals on the part they represent musically. This has resulted in two very different expressions - not uncommon for this band, but never as clearly as here. The first half, "Hrabnar", contains four stand-alone songs written by H'grimnir. The second part, "Ad vesa", is about the four components in Norse mythology that we know collectively as the human soul. In pre-Christian Norway, the concept of the soul was not a singular, unified entity, but a composite of many elements, of which the four key components were Fylgja, Hamr, Hugr, and Hamingja. Founded in 1992, Helheim are known and renowned all over the world for their authenticity and integrity when it comes to portraying their Norse heritage. Constantly growing and evolving, and staying clear of musical trends and fads, they've carved their own way for more than 30 years. This split album is no exception. Recorded in Duper and Solslottet Studio in 2024/2025, the album was engineered, produced, mixed and mastered by Iver Sandoy.

Fun Fun was an Italian Euro disco band produced by Dario Raimondi Cominesi and Alvaro Ugolini. The group was fronted by models, while the vocals were recorded by

original singers Antonella Pepe, Angela Parisi, and Ivana Spagna. Spagna left after the release of their first album in 1983.

Their breakthrough came with the hit “Happy Station (Scratch Remix),” by Ben Liebrand which climbed the charts in several European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.

The track became a staple in the hottest discos of the era. The Greatest Fun compilation album brings together their biggest hits, including “Happy Station (Scratch Remix),”

“Give Me Your Love,” “Baila Bolero,” and “Living in Japan.” Additionally, the album features the Fun Fun “Mega Hit Mix,” a special mix by

Psychedelic rock in the dark!

Dope Purple's new album 'Children In The Darkness’ was recorded when the band hosted a live midnight recording session at Revolver, Taipei City, Taiwan on Friday 3rd March 2023.

Amidst the tense silence of the middle of the night, the five members of Dope Purple, two guest musicians: saxophonist Yong Yandsen from Malaysia, British drummer Darren Moore from Singapore, and a familiar audience, came together to produce the album 'Children In The Darkness’.

The album is a ferocious space psychedelic rock, no starlight, no glamourous psychedelic paradise, just a meditative journey of infinite darkness and ear-splitting tinnitus. Unlike our last album, I didn't have a specific theme or idea for this album, however I named it 'Children In The Darkness’ because all the songs on this album share the same lonely, disorientating chaos that reminds me of children forgotten in the darkness, and Dope Purple has always been a messenger for those children, playing sedative music for their ghosts.

At the end of each performance, I can clearly feel my furious brain melting away and only the calming spirit remains in my body.

Initially influenced by the skinhead scenes of France and Italy, their new LP “Renaissance” borrows from sounds outside the subculture, orchestrating harmonies to unite the punks, skins and moshers. The comparison to L’INFANTERIE SAUVAGE is undeniable with odd song structures switching from slow melodies to fast punchy pogo beats. However on this LP, there is a subtle influence of early American hardcore bands, adding more stomping rhythms and upping the pace of the songs. Renaissance is an excellent example of how a band can evolve their sound without losing the aspects that define them: razor sharps riffs, unexpected disco drum syncopations and, of course, orchestral “Ohhs”. Every song verges on an anthem that will get stuck in your head for days.

Ride bassist Steve Queralt’s debut solo album Swallow is a beautifully brooding nine-track collection that combines the darkly textured soundscapes of early M83 and Sigur Rós with an electronic sheen reminiscent of Boards Of Canada. It also features guest vocals from Sonic Cathedral labelmate Emma Anderson (formerly of Lush and Sing-Sing) and Verity Susman (Electrelane, Memorials).Swallow has been slowly but surely pieced together between Ride albums and tours over the past five years and, perhaps as a result, has a slightly dystopian, Blade Runner feel that reflects the liminal spaces in which it was created.Despite the fact that the majority of the album is instrumental, there is plenty of power and emotion poured into these moody, moonlit soundtracks. When words do appear, an underlying anger and political slant emerges and amplifies the album’s dark intensity. This is most notable on the closing track, ‘Motor Boats’, where he overlays words from Julie Sheldon’s polemic poem The Same Boat (“We’re all in the same boat they say, but I would disagree”). According to Steve, these simple words of rejection “capture the reality of our times perfectly”. However, it was the collaborations with the two guest vocalists that tied the whole thing together and paved the way to the finished album. “After a few false starts, I had started to doubt the project altogether. It was going nowhere,” says Steve. “Then, out of the darkness, Emma got in touch to tell me that she’d found her voice and could I send her some tracks. A few files back and forth and an afternoon in the studio later and we had ‘Lonely Town’ and ‘Swiss Air’.”In the meantime, Verity from Electrelane had added vocals to the song ‘Messengers’ and transformed the track. University, the Crewe-based four-piece formed of Zak Bowker (vocals/ guitar), Ewan Barton (bass), drummerJoel Smith and Eddie (mascot), release their debut album, McCartney, It'll Be OK.

Recorded with producer Kwes Darko (Sampa The Great, Denzel Curry) at Damon Albarn's Studio 13 in London, McCartney, It'll Be OK furthers the extremely exciting beginnings of University's 2023 debut EP, Title Track, with the hooks now brighter and more melodic, the breakdowns heavier and the lyrics more refned. The band recorded McCartney, It'll Be Alrighttotally live, and it retains the delightfully unhinged energy that's defned their work so far, with everything thrillingly close to falling apart at any minute.

Originally released on seven-inch by the tiny PRM label in 1986, ‘Witches’ was the product of a sister-brother song writing team whose music was mostly recorded in the front room of a terraced house in Nanpean, a small industrial village in Cornwall, England’s most south-westerly county. While the single was infectious and dancefloor-ready, it sold in limited quantities at the time.

Zenana’s story can be traced back to the early 1980s, when singer-songwriter Anita Tedder founded the all-female trio as a vehicle for her socially conscious and politically charged songs, with a burning desire to put strong depictions of women front and centre. To bring Zenana to life, she joined forces with her brother Mike, an early adopter of electronic music who had built a small studio in his Cornish home, and recruited two fellow bandmembers, Penny Griffiths and Ruth Elder.

This specific release is a limited reissue that the band created in 2023 and holds three more songs ; The Final Winter, The Touch Of Woman & When The Comet Comes. This issue comes with an 8 page booklet including background stories as well as historical photographs.

Recorded on October 17th, 1970, just months after his previous group Brian Auger, Julie Driscoll and The Trinity had split up, this the first ever live Oblivion Express recording, captured on tape a year before this influential group released their first album. The set list includes early versions of their debut album’s tracks and amazing covers, including Herbie Hancock’s ‘Maiden Voyage,' Gabriel Fauré’s ‘Pavane,’ and Brian’s take on Sly and The Family Stone’s ‘I Wanna Take You Higher,’. The 12-page booklet features the band’s history from its formation, with Brian Auger recalling how festival organiser Claude Nobs gave the group this early opportunity.

An imposing force on his instrument & an intrepid DIY cat, Hooker’s been exuberantly swinging in&out of free time for 50+ years. informed by the innovations of Sunny Murray & Tony Williams yet entirely himself, there is no other term for it than “pure hooker.” at age 78, with the ancients & everywhere else, THE HOOK is in peak form.
