Swiss DJ and composer Dexter Troy has made a name for himself with notable productions on labels such as « King Street Sounds, » « Groove Culture, » and « Mood Funk Records, » alongside iconic artists like Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Masters At Work, Satoshi Fumi, and Dimitri From Paris. For over 15 years, he has shared his passion for electronic music in bars, clubs, and festivals in Switzerland and abroad.

His rich and diverse musical universe draws from multiple influences: house, funk, disco, all enhanced with a touch of electro-techno. »

One year after the part 1, « The Double Take part 2 » is coming to put the finishing touches to the project. He’s joined by BAKA G, a talented artist who made a name for herself on the Brussels house scene and distinguished herself with releases on labels such as Happiness Therapy.

Stay True Sounds supremo Allan Nicoll, aka Kid Fonque, and legendary UK producer Charles Webster have brought together the cream of the South African deep house scene for a unique album. The record was recorded at Flame Studios, a facility built inside a prison at Constitution Hill in South Africa, which is very significant to South Africans, because that's where the Constitution was written. “It's a remarkable institution,” says Charles. “Mandela was in there; you can really feel the history. You're working in a prison cell from a brutal regime. It's an important place. So, I didn't want the album to be too light, because you can't escape from politics anywhere, but especially somewhere like here - and you shouldn't.”

Siriusmo is back! His fourth album, "Buletten & Blumen", will be released in November 2025 – a collection of musical delicacies. Freshly prepared, spicy, and greasy, but as always with a flower on top. The Berlin-based producer, whose real name is Moritz Friedrich, remains true to himself and his distinctive style – between funk, hip-hop, electronica, soundtrack vibes, and genre playfulness. As usual, Siriusmo wanders through musical styles, embracing them, missing them spectacularly – or simply inventing them. A subtle "Berliner Allerlei". The artist himself says of his working method on the album: "I'm a whole band. Nobody masters their instrument, but everyone pretends to – always with the fear that the others will notice." The album begins with the tongue-in-cheek opener "That Could Function As A Song", an ironic exploration of the artist's own creative process. With "Buletten & Blumen," Siriusmo delivers not simple fare, but a multifaceted menu.

Following the reissue of The Pocket of Fever, Ambient Sans presents the second chapter in Masahiro Sugaya’s visionary work for the avant-garde performing arts company Pappa TARAHUMARA.

Founded by Hiroshi Koike in 1982, Pappa TARAHUMARA blended dance, theater, music, and visual art into abstract, immersive stage worlds. Sugaya’s compositions became the sonic counterpart to this radical aesthetic—minimal yet deeply evocative, combining electronics, ambient textures, and delicate melodic gestures into a sound language both intimate and expansive.

Music From Alejo marks his first original stage score for the company: a work where repetition and silence intertwine with shimmering synthesizers and dreamlike motifs, conjuring atmospheres that feel suspended between reality and reverie. More structured than The Pocket of Fever yet equally poetic, the album reveals Sugaya’s gift for translating movement into sound, balancing modern composition with subtle echoes of Japanese tradition.

Reissued for the first time on vinyl, Music From Alejo includes a printed insert featuring an exclusive interview with the artist, alongside photographs from our visit to his home in Japan. Essential listening for anyone drawn to the ambient minimalism of Hiroshi Yoshimura, Midori Takada, or Brian Eno—reimagined here through the lens of Tokyo’s experimental scene of the 1980s.

Grace & Raffaella is the first collaborative release by ML and Vittoria Totale. Over nine tracks, the album strikes a deceptively minimalist tone, taking in a ton of musical as well as literary references. An elegy on a journey back to the present, with all the hushed intensity of an informed fever dream, Grace & Raffaella has a magic-realist feel. Its vocal parts serve as loopy self-fulfilling prophecies. Cut off from the sun, the gorge grows darker. Using an electroacoustic sense of spacing, as well as abstracted current-day club influences, with scraps of background noise fading in and out, this album's use and treatment of a snippet-like narrative is its core aesthetic. A digital gleam drenches the spoken bits into instances of subtle surrealism. Like a kitchen sink drama stripped of all deadweight. We are on the edge of relinquishing all control here. Rip up your diary and let go of the language of the old ones. Grace & Raffaella is a seductive slice of modern hyper-pop that defines its own intentions over and over again.

‘Desire’ is the sophomore full-length album by TLF Trio, following their beloved debut album ‘Sweet Harmony’ from 2022. On ‘Desire’, the group presents their signature, contemporised chamber music through their main instruments: piano, cello and electric guitar; now enhanced by a pervasive use of sampling and a distinct use of silence as musical material.

The album is an aesthetic voyage in a musical landscape of minimalism, classical music, free improvisation, left-field-electronica, and references to pop and house music. It blends into a sound that is experimental and unpredictable – yet at the same time strangely familiar and self-explanatory.

The ten pieces balance an open-ended improvisational intimacy with a tight compositional intention. Each track's repetitiveness operates as a trickling plateau of layered sentiments of times and spaces through the sampling of different acoustic rooms, the playing in specific styles and the curated selection of sounds and instrumentations; a collage of memories and associations patched together to create new meanings.

Lis Sarroca marks the tenth release on her Maai Records imprint with her debut vinyl release on the label, “Signals.” The EP spans four tracks, moving seamlessly between refined house and electro energy, tinges of Italo nostalgia and of course all infused with Lis’ signature uplifting touch. Since 2021 Maai has quickly become an essential label for tastemakers, and in parallel, Lis has been steadily carving out her path as an artist making this a milestone release of her journey this far.

Stripped of its branches and reduced to the bare trunk, Evigt Morker 6 stands at the threshold where fire becomes voice and light devours the sky. Those in charge of opening this vinyl saga are "Fat & Blind" these two artists from Cádiz better known as "Deibeat & Shemma" with their track "Mother F .... Breakbeat" published by the label "Weekend Breaks" in 2000 , a track that became an anthem and continues to resonate at every party, now remastered for this occasion.

This is the debut release from Laguna Seca, a new project from Porto based Mike Jefford. It foreshadows a new body of work, steeped in 70s nostalgia, refracted though sounds that could belong to krautrock, disco, electronica, noisy alt rock and everything in between. Mike has previously recorded as Positive Centre releasing textural, experimental techno on such labels as Stroboscopic Artefacts, SNTS and Leyla. After mastering his forthcoming 2026 debut album ‘O Tempo’, Mike Jefford caught a second wind of inspiration. In just seven frantic days he recorded the heap of tracks that formed the basis of 'Live from Müsli Mountain’. It soon became clear that these tracks foreshadowed the album perfectly and the EP was born.

Named after the California raceway, this project fuses 1970s recording techniques, modern electronics and psychedelic retrofuturism, it’s a pyramid of sonic adventure that will be explored deeper on the album next year.

Inner Image is a series of live studio recordings by Kamran Sadeghi, an Iranian, New York City-based composer and interdisciplinary artist working across electronic music, sound art, and multichannel composition. The EP is focused on rhythm programming and non-sample-based, hyper-sculpted synthesis. Audible artifacts become compositional material, producing shifting textures while exploring auditory illusion, spectral layering, and spatial perception. This debut release on amenthia recordings bridges Sadeghi's club sound system music with his ongoing work in sound art and avant-garde composition.

Bangkok Impact - alias of Finnish producer Sami Liuski - helped define the early-2000s Italo-disco and electro revival. Missionary On Mars became an underground club hit across Europe with its spacey synths and retro-futuristic vibe, earning cult status among DJs. With Caro and La Musche his reputation for sleek, hypnotic grooves that bridged classic Italo influences with techno energy got cemented. Remastered repress for a new generation.

Prolific beat pharmacist par excellence Brendon Moeller continues his hot streak with a return to Samurai to serve up the exquisite craftsmanship of Shadow Language. Across 15 fresh productions the seasoned house and techno producer demonstrates yet more variations on his rejuvenated sound since pivoting towards 160 tempo zones. Heavyweight dub techno pulses collide with D&B pressure and dubstep snarl, delivered with devastating restraint and mediative warmth.

Moeller's dub-informed, high-grade production hit a hot streak as he started to experiment with faster tempos and more broken rhythms, reaching into thrilling new sound fields where fast-slow rhythmic intrigue meets with spatial subtlety and constantly evolving synth voices. The past year has seen him release a swathe of albums, from Further on Samurai to outings on Constellation Tatsu, ESP Institute and Quiet Details that all burst with inspiration, each distinct from the last and offering an original perspective on this rich seam of crossover electronics.

Shadow Language shows Moeller burrowing even deeper into this new era of his work, continuing the hypnotic approach set out on Further while edging more forthright ingredients into the mix. From the outset 'Division By Zero' hits with immediacy even as it dips into a dubwise breakdown, with snatches of vocal and even the iconic loom bird making the slightest of appearances. 'Feral Hymn' finds a curious kind of uplift in the synth chord that twists in and out of the mental techno murmurations of the rhythm section. 'Impermanence' has some snarling bass that belongs in the gnarliest tech-step, while the nagging hats ticking through 'Junkyard Syntax' hint at a shockout without resorting to brute force. The majestic dub techno chords of 'Driftform' create a through-line across Moeller's extensive catalogue, but here they dominate the mix above a spongy bed of sub bass throb and framed by the tiniest slithers of percussion.

Throughout the album, it's the implications Moeller suggests with the tools at his disposal that create a powerful energy. Restraint governs the delivery, guiding the listener in deeper until they find a maximal experience from each elegantly understated roller. The weight and presence is abundant across every track, fuelled by the invigorating power of each tone and frequency while avoiding the clutter of overloaded arrangements.

Finding the notes in between and half-hidden rhythms, Moeller himself perfectly summed up his latest opus as he continues to develop his own compelling Shadow Language.

After recent Ron Allen reissues on Emotions Electric and our own Classic Cuts imprint, it's time to revamp the mothership itself: Strobe Records. First one up in this new campaign is R.A.S.E.'s The Ron Allen Sound Experience EP -- a four-tracker, originally out in 1991, that captures what is timeless about Allen's signature sound: warm basslines, soulful vocals, and that Toronto swing. The A-side serves up two uplifting mixes of Get On Up, while the B-side goes deeper, yet keeping the soul fully intact. A perfect reintroduction to one of Canada's prime house architects.

Were FEX the Wildest & Weirdest German New Wave Band in 1984?

Few cult mysteries in modern music have captured the internet's imagination quite like "The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet." Eventually identified as "Subways of Your Mind" by the elusive German band FEX, the track became a viral sensation decades after its creation-and even made its way into a recent Hollywood blockbuster (Black Phone 2).

Now, two more lost FEX recordings have emerged from an old demo cassette: "Dead End" and "Sarah." And they're every bit as electrifying as the legend suggests.

On both songs, guitarist and main songwriter Ture Rückwardt joins forces on lead vocals with his former wife and musical partner Ilona Rückwardt, forming a vocal pairing that channels raw energy and eerie chemistry. What they deliver are two of the most urgent, adrenaline-fueled post-punk artifacts you're likely to hear this year-even if they were recorded more than forty years ago.

Opening with a sharp, melodic guitar solo, "Dead End" bursts forward with uptempo drive-catchy, fierce, and full of momentum. Apparently inspired by Orwell's 1984, its lyrics depict urban desolation-loneliness, homelessness, hopelessness-yet still shimmer with defiance in lines like, "Truth is amazing - hoping is like waiting."

The second track, "Sarah," dives even deeper into darkness. Mixing post-punk intensity with psychedelic textures, Rückwardt tells an imaginary story of a couple lost in drugs and spiraling through a bad trip, only to wake and realize that sobriety offers little comfort-the real world itself can be just as brutal and offers no easy escape.

Neither song makes the slightest concession to commercial trends. Instead, they feel utterly uncompromising-wild, strange, and defiantly timeless. In a world obsessed with polish and playlists, "Dead End" and "Sarah" sound like transmissions from a different planet.

Both tracks were originally recorded as demos in 1984 in the band's rehearsal room, with Hase engineering. The newly restored versions preserve the raw spirit of the original tapes while adding subtle layers to enhance their atmosphere without losing the authentic 1980s sound. FEX hint that the untouched demo versions might surface later, possibly on a second volume of their archival

HAVEN are back with their vinyl operation with a fresh plate of grubby Techno heat from Irish heavyweights Faetch & Sunil Sharpe on the Grotteca EP. Featuring 4 original rippers and a remix from Italian legend DJ Plant Texture of upfront club pressure, the NZ-based label are proud to transmit some of the finest in creeping electronics from across the globe.

The A-side kicks off with 'Bleed In' with its tough drum-work and hypnotising atmospheres eventually descending in to an all-out stomp with one of the filthiest synth-lines in the label's history hitting half-way through. This is followed up with 'Test Breaks' - a broken-beat slammer with a ton of gritty synth design and rear-shaking rhythms. The first side is closed with DJ Plant Texture's remix of 'Bleed In', where driving 909 hits combine with the original synth line for a club-ready weapon ready to get those feet moving.

On the B-side 'Vapornation' keeps the energy rolling with its rolling congas, heavy kick, and eerie atmospheres tailor-made for a concrete basement. Finally, 'Shinplant' closes the record with full-steam-ahead drums and squalid synth rhythms to end yet another plate of dance-floor ammunition from the HAVEN camp.

Born from the weekly community radio and event series hosted on a floating sauna in the city center, the compilation brings together local and international artists connected to the project - including Peder Mannerfelt, MOLØ, Abstraxion & Bella Sarris, Staffan Lindberg, Julia Wallin, and more.

Phonica AM welcomes long-time friend of the shop Voigtmann, appearing under his A Thousand Futures alias with a release that feels perfectly at home on the imprint. Known for precision engineering and playful groove work, he delivers a 12″ that’s subtle, characterful and built for repeat play.

Across four tracks, Voigtmann moves between sleek, futuristic club moods with ease: from the ghostly, cosmic drive of “Leftfoot Lover” and the acid-flecked momentum of “Outer Edge,” through to the jacking electro-funk tension of “No Room For Squares.” The record closes on “Sunshine Capital,” a warm, chord-led cut that still carries his trademark grit - a deeper moment without losing focus.

Curated by Phonica’s Luther Vine, the AM series champions the stranger, more late-night corners of the dancefloor, and this release fits the ethos with style. Touching lightly on progressive house, tech house and electro-leaning minimal, the record avoids strict genre lines and instead prioritises feeling: trippy, functional and made for DJs.

2026 Repress

Do you know what time it is It's debut o'clock. Emitting his first material for Pampa, it's &ME - craftsman of all things deep and sturdy, at the same time connoisseur of emotive touch and virtuoso of sure instincts, one of the scene's central characters for a good amount of years now and one of the main figures of Berlin's Keinemusik-crew. The man has been hitting the bulls eye of public perception several times in the past, meeting everything it takes to get a crowd going with an intent on the detail when it comes to his arrangements and sound. These new two cuts seem nothing less than the essence of his abilities.

There is "In Your Eyes", the name lending A side to this EP, showcasing a rather pensive mood. It's just a few bars for the compound of kickdrum, tuned hi-hat tambourine and shimmering background noise until the first chords of an improvised piano-piece are tenderly laid upon the beat. Add a synth-motive coming back and forth and you'll have the main ingredients to this - in every sense of the word - floor-moving tune. Accordingly, the arrangement won't aim for an all too obvious sensationalism and rather opts for a flowing and intertwining call and response of its elements, ultimately resulting in a staggering impact anyway.
In comparison, "As Above So Below" on the flipside is adding a fair amount of emphasis. It unfolds in a dry and dense sounding beat-architecture that's suspense-packed with shaker sounds and subtextual field recordings. Most certainly, a slip-proof ground for this tune's centre-piece, a scale-riding synthbass sparking an almost anthemic trigger for floor-ecstasy. While details like subtle reverberating tapping and sparkling ambient textures sound like recorded deep down in a dripstone cave, the overall energetic layout pushes relentlessly to the heights of peaktime-grandeur. There you have it: "As Above So Below" - this tune works on every level.

In early 2025 Oakland-based Jerod S. Rivera released his second full length Dot-Dash, featuring a collaboration with CST co-founder Cat Lauigan and Jonathan James Carr. From the beginning we were mesmerized with the result, a perfect melding of Cat's processed spoken-word and Jerod's Buchla experimentations.

The thought of remixes presented immediately, the material extra ripe for interpolation. Enlisting friends from geographically and sonically disparate locations to present an ideal remix 12". Something for everyone, something for every setting, a tool with multiple functions...

The mysterious dub/techno/leftfield mastermind behind False Aralia dives further into territory explored on iri.gram, uptempo and dancefloor-ready in a more maximal Perlon-ish way while still embracing a half-time dub feel. Philipp Otterbach (Music from Memory, Offen, RIO) goes deeper into the guitar zone he’s been exploring, channeling Earth 2, Boris, and the like for some heavy drone. Oakland duo DJ ML and Wonja adopt their Motoko & Myers moniker (Future Times, Soda Gong), zeroing in on some choice vocal snippets that mesh perfectly with a live drum break and bassline for a Seefeel-esque version that could have come from a 90’s UK studio. Finally, Slowfoam embraces the more experimental elements of the original with a remix that starts sparse and minimal but builds into a glitchy rhythmic climax.

The 12” includes a 2-sided riso insert and a download code with access to an additional remix by close collaborator Jon Carr that twists the vocals into a throbbing industrial caucaphony.

Following on from the November release of the Material Things / Pike album Rain & Cymbals, 12th Isle enter the new year with a limited vinyl edition of Through Global Frequency, a prescient work of ambient synth, electro-acoustic music and voice recordings by long-standing Dutch multimedia artist Michel Banabila (b. Amsterdam, 1961). Structured around a poem largely composed of titles from recordings he has made over the years, and written during a period marked by new Dutch migration policies, the genocide in Gaza, and the rise of the far right across Europe, Banabila enlists the voices of friends and family, each reciting the poem back to him in their native language. These voice recordings are set within a unique composition that works with the tonality, cadence and rhythm of the vocals, encompassing languages such as Arabic, Spanish, isiZulu, German, French, English, Japanese, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Dutch. Contributions come from Scanner (Robin Rimbaud), Ines Kooli, Sebastian Lee Philipp (Die Wilde Jagd), Yuko Kobayashi, Simone Eleveld, Cengiz Arslanpay and more.

“I felt the need to create something warm, something that embraced diversity. Every voice here is uniquely recognisable and reflects how I know them. I truly enjoyed working with these recordings, focusing on their personalities and the distinctive sound of their languages. For me, making music has always been a way to stay sane, and I have always loved working with voice recordings.”

Yogg delivers the second release on his Polarized Future label, with four deep and sub-heavy cuts on ‘Don’t You’. Produced in his new Brussels studio, the EP channels the tension between familiarity and instability. The sounds here are deconstructed, fizzing and alive, produced with a pointillistic attention to detail.

This is music built for soundsystems, with a strong emphasis on bass weight and meditative, spacious minimalism. Elements are removed to the bare essentials, at times feeling like a contemporary reimagining of the early sound of dubstep; echoing the unease of a society in the midst of a dystopian timeline.

Isa Gordon and Tony Morris were first brought together through their individual releases on Optimo Music, which established mutual respect within the label’s community. While they had not previously performed live together, they were invited to take part in a fundraiser hosted by Queen’s Park Arena in support of Glasgow NW Foodbank and later for JD Twitch’s end-of-life care. Tony asked Isa to contribute guitar and backing vocals to his set, including a track then called Last Night I Had a Dream. That performance became the seed for their collaboration.

The first phase of fleshing it out, recalls Tony: “Somebody said Isa sang like Shania Twain. That got me thinking about country music and call and response, prompting me to come up with alternative lyrics.” Isa remembers: “I cycled over to Tony’s house with my guitar, and we spoke about what the tune meant. It was about him being wrapped up in dreamland, luxuriating in his subconscious, while my character — impatient and trapped in her own routines — barely had time to remember her own dreams.” Tony continues: “Brilliantly I realised that I could never collaborate with anyone in situ and so I sat in the garden for two hours watching my wife tend to plants. Every now and again I would creep up the stairs and put my ear to the door. I could hear Isa warbling away and so would resume my garden watch. After two hours I went back upstairs to see how she was getting on, only to find that she had written one of the greatest songs I’d ever heard. I still think that.” Tony adds: “My overwhelming sentiment about Wake Up Baby is pride. I can honestly say that I’m more proud of it than anything else I have done. It ticks a whole load of boxes. Isa’s singing in various Scottish modes is unique. The way her electric guitar adorns the dance beat makes it a rock song as well as a dance and a C&W song — truly multi-genre.”

The B-side of the 12” release, Syringe Moustache, is a surreal, darkly playful counterpart to Wake Up Baby. The track was inspired by a dream Tony had: “I was in a shopping mall, in a two-level shoe shop, and my attention was taken by a little girl with a syringe taped beneath her nose like a moustache. She went about her business trying on shoes, confident and wise beyond her years. In the dream, I imagined her as the daughter of cultured, intelligent parents determined to raise her independently. I was struck by my own feelings of inadequacy — I knew I could never have coped with such a contraption myself.” Isa’s take on the meaning of this song somewhat differs: “Tony sent me the tune over Instagram months before I met him, and I was spooked — as far as I knew, he didn’t know anything about me, but the story felt like it was written about me as a little girl, growing up around heroin addiction. The syringe beneath the girl’s nose became a symbol of the inescapable constraints of that environment, literally written on her face, yet something you just have to carry on through. On a buzz from the serendipity, I added a full instrumental backing to this most bizarre of works.”

The result is absurd, unsettling, and strangely empowering, staking out its own surreal, cinematic space. The 12” dance single is a format Tony had long wanted to explore — a tangible artefact to leave for family, a medium that celebrates the physicality of sound and the ritual of listening. It allowed the artists to maximise the format’s potential: a strong, multi-genre A-side, a surreal B-side, and remixes that expanded the record’s sonic world. The cover photograph, taken at the University Café by Harrison Reid, captures Isa and Tony embodying the characters they brought to life in the songs — a visual reflection of the record’s narrative and emotional stakes. The Café also holds personal significance: it’s where all of Isa’s meetings with Keith McIvor took place, where she first remembers visiting Glasgow as a child, and a place Tony fondly likes to go to drip egg yolk down his tie and watch the world go by. Mr. K’s edit of ‘Remember The Time’ takes E-Smoove’s punchy Late Nite remix from the original 1992 12-inch single — already considered the strongest mix on the release — and carefully condenses it to fill a 7-inch, retaining all the best elements while adding a highly mixable intro and a unique acapella ending. This edit might now be the definitive version of this classic club tune! The original mix of Janet’s ‘Any Time, Any Place’ hit radio in 1993, but it wasn’t until the following year when Darryl James and David Anthony’s smoothly uplifting and funky remix really took off in all the clubs, and it’s this D&D remix that Krivit turns his attention to for the flip side of this new MEU 45. A favorite of Frankie Knuckles, and Body & Soul, ‘Any Time, Any Place’ has remained a go-to cut for Mr. K, who shares his personal edit here on the compact format for the very first time.

Fresh from dropping a fine collection of reworks by Scruscru, Blur Records welcome back regular contributor Hotmood. He brings with him a belated sequel to his 2023 EP Disco Power. The Mexican begins in fine form via the tease-and-release, disco-funk powered disco-house slammer 'Give It To Me', before opting for a more elastic and rubbery groove on the similarly-minded peak-time bounce of 'Let Me Dance'. Hotmood decides to breathe new life into a string-laden, cowbell-sporting 1970s disco workout on 'That's What You Had', once more exploring effects-laden disco-house dynamics, while closing cut 'Summer Nights' sees him making merry with loops and samples from an old Earth, Wind and Fire favourite and some suitably powerful beats.

One of the defining releases on Large Music gets a special re-issue after a 16 year wait. Considered by many to be one of the top 3 packages in the early Large catalog, this EP set the trajectory for what would quickly become known as the "West Coast" sound of American House. The main vocal on side A also became a venerable classic at the Shelter in NYC and was played consistently by Timmy Regisford throughout his tenure there. The darker, more disco filtered tones on the flip side were also highly praised and played at the time by French DJs such as Daft Punk, Phil Weeks, Cassius and many others. Rasoul is often overlooked as one of the chief architects of modern Deep House, yet this release certainly secures his elite standing in the annals of House Music history. Essential!

In 2015 Sam Shepherd - aka Floating Points - released his break out, critically acclaimed debut Elaenia. Earlier this year he followed up the album with Reflections - Mojave Desert, a short film and soundtrack featuring tracks recorded in the Mojave Desert. Today the polymathic producer is pleased to announce his latest project, Ratio, an epic track bordering on 19-minutes that harks back to his earlier dance floor focussed releases. Over the course of the summer Floating Points has developed Ratio as part of his solo live electronic show at festivals around the world. The track has fast become a fan favourite, a true highlight of the set.

Ratio will be released on 20th October. The full-length version will be available on all digital platforms. The track will also be available on vinyl, presented as a deconstructed mix of the 18+ minutes.

Prolific powers in rave and counterculture, Luca Lozano and Mr. Ho debut on Phantasy with the deliciously gnarly ‘WREKONS’ EP. Already locked in close collaboration at their own Klasse Wrecks label, this temporary migration to Erol Alkan's peerless London imprint with four outsider-electro variations that sit comfortably amongst the more bombastic moments in Phantasy's history.

‘Reach Out and Touch’ sets the tone, bursting sound systems wide open with an introduction that takes Lozano and Ho out of the basement and into the widest festival fields, overdriven with sheer energy and a flawless arrangement that sets up all manner of musical twists until the final chord. ‘Psycho Rasp’ expands from a simple cowbell beat to a circuit-frying melody, a machine rush that isn’t afraid to strip back to bare essentials for a devilishly simple, extremely effective breakdown.

On the flip, ‘WREKONS' pushes things further still, particularly on the lubricious ‘Grease Beat’, an unrelenting symphony of rubber-faced bass, crashing cymbals and demented drums, ideally composed to pair daring DJs with submissive dancers. ‘Tin Can Hustler’ closes off the EP with the duo’s leftfield take on jackin’ house, its dense groove bubbling up from underneath the strangest analogue signals.

This latest release follows Davidson’s 2025 album, a record that saw her expand her artistic language through a fusion of 90s Detroit techno grit, fired-up circuitboard breakbeats and skewed club minimalism. As with much of her work, the album used music as a means to navigate her place in the world — as an artist, as a woman, and as an entertainer. Conceptual yet emotionally raw, Davidson continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, creating work that is both deeply cerebral and disarmingly human.

With both Soulwax and Marie, sharing a commitment to bold, physical sound and restless reinvention, ‘City Of Clowns (MDJ Tools)’ stands as a natural meeting point — a late-night dialogue between two of modern electronic music’s most distinctive voices.

The faultless Is It Balearic? Crew keep summer alive a little longer with a new and blissed out offering from Simon Peter. The title track 'Souvenir ' sets the tone with dreamy electric piano and a Laurel Canyon-style vocal with folky overtones that help evoke hazy sunsets. 'Mystical Delight' drifts deeper into a desert-tinged folk trip, while 'Still Going' adds percussive layers and brings a perfect Balearic balance. On the flip, Peaking Lights rework the title cut into a nostalgic haze, spotlighting the vocals with lullaby warmth. ANiML comprises accomplished and storied electronic artists. Their Stratasonic label has become a respected home for their freeform musical explorations, with no genre restrictions. They often call on friends and influential pioneers to collaborate on releases, and the originals they produce are defined by improvisation, creative songwriting, and intentional collisions of different moods and grooves.

'Unioness' is a tender but crisp late-night sound. Soft, jazzy melodies drift over orchestral swells with drum breaks cascading below. Abstracted vocals and serene strings further enrich this sophisticated sound, which draws on soundtracks and instrumental soul groups.

Stoned Autopilot is an alias of long-time studio magician Martin Buttrich, who is also part of Better Lost Than Stupid and has a fulsome catalogue on many of the scene's most recognisable labels. His dub rides smooth waves with aching vocals melting into the mix, and the melodies looped, smudged, and smeared in hypnotic fashion.

The second rework comes from DJ Sneak, the hugely prolific and consistent Chicago house innovator whose famously raw, tracky sound keeps him in a class of one. His fantastic Big Bawse Re-Rub brings a rolling four-four groove, a delicate sprinkling of percussion, and a loopy rhythm that locks you in and zones you out as curious melodies unfurl up top.

Daniel Vangarde is the father of Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter, and back in the 70s and 80s he was a musician who had great success writing and producing for the likes of Gibson Brothers and Ottawan on his Zagora label. He also worked solo as Who's Who and in 1979 produced a now cult favourite record of cosmic-euro disco. Two tracks from it get reworked from the original tapes here by The Reflex. He brings dubby, mid-tempo drums to 'Hypnodance' while retracing its Eastern melodic charms and sense of sophistication. His take on 'Palace Palace' is more funky and upbeat with leggy drums and elastic basslines smothered in cosmic arps.

Two decades into his winding voyage through music, culture and creativity, Tom Trago has become part of the densely woven fabric of the Dutch electronic scene - a producer, DJ, label owner, collaborator, remixer, radio host and DJ's DJ who is renowned not only for his impressive productivity, but also the genuine depth and variety of his work. While it was Trago's distinctive DJ sets that once grabbed headlines - he famously held residencies at renowned Amsterdam institutions Trouw and De School, and for a decade spent much of his time jetting between some of the most renowned clubs in Europe - in recent years Tom has cut down on appearances. Today, he chooses to be far more selective about where (and when) he DJs or performs live, often working with a handful of cherished venues and festivals while ensuring that his travels are sustainable and inspiring. Instead of the grind of touring and hedonistic night-time activity, Trago has chosen to focus on music-making, alongside semi-regular forays into radio broadcasting (NTS, Radio Radio, BBC Radio and EchoBox). He now spends most of his days producing and remixing at his new SR-3 studio in Alkmaar and his seaside home-come-studio in Bergen aan Zee. As part of these lifestyle and career changes, Trago took time to look deeper, not only inside himself, but also for musical inspiration. Tom has always loved, and devoted time to, digging into a wide variety of production styles, using this inspiration to develop a trademark personal production style, but in recent years he has taken it even further. Fuelled by a desire to challenge himself, Tom consistently tries new things in the studio while channeling all he's learned during a career that has moved forwards at breakneck speed. Since making his debut in 2006, Trago has released six critically acclaimed albums (two of which, the eclectic, beat-focused, career-spanning, Patta-released archive dive, 18, and the dancefloor excursion, Trembala, appeared in 2022); extensively worked with Dutch electronic music institutions Rush Hour and Dekmantel; collaborated with countless friends and contemporaries (Charlie Soul Clap, Awanto 3, Maxi Mill, Steffi, San Proper, Seth Troxler, and BokBok included); remixed artists including New Order, Carl Craig, Cassius, Tiga and Erol Alkan, and championed a swathe of fellow Dutch producers via the Voyage Direct label he founded in 2009. Two Lisbon mainstays from contiguous generations join forces as Scam Dust for the new Paraiso record: Tiago, Lux Fragil resident, world-renowned DJ's DJ and all-round music whizz plus Shcuro, Paraiso's co-founder, scene documenter and impeccable selector & producer. Funnily enough they also live in contiguous beach towns in the outskirts of the capital, Parede and Carcavelos. That's where they zig-zagged amid home-studios and, four hands in various machines, concocted this refreshingly to-the-bone record. Like a non-local entanglement between Lisbon, Sheffield, The Hague and somewhere in the American Midwest, 'Gastric Pulse' EP opens with a saturated, modulated acid line over a tight, industrial-tinged techno beat, peppered with sonic dirt of the highest order. It sounds like music projects like Downwards and Mathematics would put out. 'Enzyme Breaks' follows suit with a comparably raw spirit, adding some mysterious atmospheric scintillation and drum variations. A certain recluse techno (is that a thing?) comes to mind (and heart), Unit Moebius style. Toms abound in 'Pepsin Drive' - always a promising sign in our book - and the playfulness continues in the cheeky bassline and the intricate clap work. Soulful stabs give the tune extra magic via the mantra-like structuring power of repetition. The final track in the record comes from Pacific North-West transplant Doc Sleep and her collaborator Elias FS step in for remix responsibilities and flip the B1 into a hypnotic, dubby - and yes, jazzy - piece complete with a dive into glitchy, sonic sculpture territories towards the end of the arrangement. Quite the brilliant take. Music still counts (and always will), after all is said and done - and nothing like two hard-working music-makers to remind us of that.

Chat Noir opens its 2025 calendar with the fourth chapter of its hors-série imprint, welcoming a striking new EP from Mariiin, the Italian DJ and producer based in London, previously spotted on labels such as Eya Records and Exarde.

Sounds Benefit marks its eleventh release with a versatile 4-tracker spanning house and electro. Scott Orlans’ rare 2006 gem “Freaks Like Us”, taken from his Wrecking Ball EP, resurfaces with undiminished energy, joined by two fresh grooves from label head Tom Joyce. Closing the EP, Leipzig duo Eoism presents “Bubble Chamber”, a textured, forward-thinking electro journey that showcases their trademark sound.

Tom Joyce’s sought after Sounds Benefit label marks their milestone tenth release with “7 Years Of Sounds Benefit”, a carefully curated selection of essential artists and rising talents presented as a double vinyl LP. The two slabs of wax manoeuvre between innovative electro and refined flavours of house and techno for trained ears.

First up is a reissue from S-Max, New Delhi Projects, previously released on Below back in ‘99. A chugging display of sounds that were way ahead of their time. After featuring on SND002, Ben Cohen makes his comeback on the label with Short Night, a breakbeat journey which boasts beautiful and emotive chord progressions. The B side features somewhat of a rarity as Etienne shares a track, Gateway Experience, futuristic energy from the accomplished producer, layered with subtle yet effective acid tones. Label head Tom Joyce delivers 7:15pm, a dreamy quest through melt in your mind synths and punchy electro drum patterns.

As we approach the second vinyl, we uncover further gems from the archive as Lowtec kindly shares his unreleased La Java 2014, which was created circa. 2000. Javier Carballo and Aniano have been making positive movements with their Hdz moniker in recent times, and Moog is another stamp of approval, a warm bass line converses with the crisp drums and spaced out elements. On the flip, Berlin based Englishman Rob Amboule turns out a killer elasticated groove which takes you for a late night shuffle in Scrap It. Huge fun for the hazy hours on the dance floor. Throughout 2025, Tresor Records will reactivate Detroit house and techno originator Blake Baxter's vast Tresor catalogue digitally in chronological order, starting with 1992’s Dream Sequence, closely followed by his 1995 album, Endless Reflection. To inaugurate and celebrate this retrospective of one the genre’s true founders, an artist whose connections to Tresor go back to the very beginning, the label announces a special 12” release, Dream Sequence X, featuring remastered tracks from the early days and highlighting the harder side of his output.
Initially inspired by post-punk and funk, Baxter started making music as early as 1985. By 1991 he had already released several seminal records on classic labels like Underground Resistance, KMS, and Incognito, as well as providing multiple tracks to the groundbreaking UK compilation Techno! The New Dance Sound of Detroit, which was many European listeners’ introduction to the genre, solidifying the term techno, and launching the international careers of many of the contributors.
1992 saw Baxter make the first trip to play Tresor, on the first UR Europe tour ever, thereby pioneering the now legendary Berlin-Detroit Connection. This visit led to a long and fruitful partnership with the club’s new-fledged label beginning with Mills', Banks' & Hood’s X-101 and Baxter’s Dream Sequence, from which the first four tracks on the new 12” come.
Whilst he would become more renowned for his signature seductive vocals and a smoother music style closer to house music, these early tracks are heavier, classic 90s techno, revealing the influence of industrial, post-punk and pop of the time. Indeed the collection is something of a time capsule: jacking 909 drums, intense, ravey synth stabs, samples from classic soul breakbeat and the Speak & Spell voice synthesizer; classic sounds and styles of the era all make appearances on the record. All tracks have been remastered by Manmade Mastering breathing a new vitality and sharpness for the modern dancefloor.
In a world where longevity is difficult and superlatives are too easily deployed, it is still difficult to overstate the long-lasting influence that Blake Baxter has had on modern music. His visionary output can be heard across modern electronic and pop to this day and with this series of remasters, there has never been a better time for the world to hear it at source.

Originally released in 1998 "First Floor” is Detroit/Chicago auteur Theo Parrish’s debut album. Released on vinyl in two parts for maximum playability; the raw bluesy, soulful offbeat grooves have long since buried themselves deep under the skin of the house community.
Showcasing Theo’s innovative use of drum programming and effects its uniquely loose but taut knit of minimalist elements worked to maximal, hypnotic effect have solidified its reputation as a contemporary classic and served as a corner stone for Theo’s truly legendary status.
"First Floor” is one of those albums that has transcended generic borders to influence heads of all stripes with its unmistakable soul-nuzzling texture and groove. Essential.

Ayū returns to his home imprint with another EP, marking his second solo outing on the label. Whether operating alone or alongside Alfred Czital, Ayū has shaped a signature sound that fuels long nights and tightly packed dancefloors. Spiral Motion sees him dive further into his deeper, late-hour aesthetic. Smooth, yet hypnotic, and built for those moments when the room locks into a shared groove.

Side-A is a systematic prog compulsion. Starting with Ayū’s ‘Come on,’ the track deploys a strictly sequential energy curve, using its paced and nearly robotic vocal anchors as a command-line for dance-floor madness. A2, ‘Pure NRG’, as the name indicates, it’s an energy-based weapon built on a heavy bassline. Instrumental elements that add up sequentially through fades, boops, and rougher vocals.

Adding fuel to the EP, side B is dedicated to remixes of A-side creations. B1 by IN2STELLAR delivers the tech-house version of ‘Come on’. Drummy and spatial, the track builds up towards an explosion of rhythm. B2 crafted by D.Tiffany inverts ‘Pure NRG’ and presents it through a darker lens. Slowly, but surely, the track emphasizes shadow and minimal texture, flavored by D.Tiff’s tone & style.

Phase alternations arise where overlapping waves diverge in phase, revealing the hidden
geometry of sound. A phenomenon that Peryl deliberately allows to happen — thus placing
the physical and technical aspects of music at the center of attention. His new album
builds on a fundamental idea of electronic music — but reimagined.

The person Peryl and his needs steps into the background during production —
functioning merely as a channel that intuitively receives and transmits what long-studied
machines, in dialogue with the subconscious, collectively bring to the surface.

The result is a collection of nine tracks, like emanations of precisely crafted analog
synthesis. No sound returns the same way twice. This fragility fuels the urgency — a
creative necessity to listen, to commit, to allow form to arrive before it dissolves again.

Rhythm is no longer on the grid, but a series of small shifts, offsets, and delays. Loops fall
slightly out of sync. Deviation creates friction, and friction creates energy. Through the
layered interplay of phase-driven effects — chorus, phaser, flanger — the sounds begin to
breathe in alternate rhythms. Hollows emerge. Swells fold into one another.

Challenging these swells is an essential part of Phase Alternations. Effects come alive in
subtle shifts, industrial textures whisper melodies, folding and unfolding in rhythms that
emerge through their own logic.

Peryl presents the result of an experiment: the sound itself chooses its form.

Two figures of quasi-human form whose contours are in the process of dissolving. Like curtains of varying opacity, realities slide close together without ever laying claim to validity. The essence is clouded, nature its imitation. What sounds like the dripping of a viscous acid from porous aluminum casings could also be a sequential noise. The rhythm is an aid, a barb in the flesh. Voices fleeting like gases that have never surrendered to the dictates of gravity. It is the year 2024 of a calendar resembling an Abrahamic apparatus. Angels carry guns.

Club Splendore Vol.1 is the project’s first official vinyl release and marks a natural step forward: capturing on physical format the sound that has been defining its dancefloors over the past years. A sound that reinterprets the aesthetics of the ’80s without nostalgia, translating them into a current, club-focused language. Techno pioneer Robert Hood debuts on Rekids with a blistering release entitled ‘Nothing Stops Detroit’ ahead of an album this winter.

Over the last three decades the Underground Resistance alum has continually been at the forefront of the techno genre whilst releasing on many of electronic music’s finest labels to boot. In recent years his solo outings have appeared on a select few labels such as Dekmantel, Music Man Records, not to mention his very own M-Plant. Having made appearances on Rekids in the past remixing label boss Radio Slave - both as Robert Hood (‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’) and Floorplan (‘Feel The Same’) - the Detroit originator now drops a four track release in his official debut on the label.

With its machine aesthetic, ‘Nothing Stops Detroit’ is unmistakably Hood from start to finish. Precision kick drums propel the title track forward as stuttering effects and deep stabs work alongside a march band rhythm. ‘7 Mile Dog’ is next with its grainy synths and scintillating pads, making way for the meandering bassline, rattling atmospherics and trippy, oscillating top line of ‘Ignite A War’. Finally, ‘The Cure’ is a cacophony of twisted percussion and rumbling low-end that energetically concludes matters.

“My first encounter with Peter Patzer was when I was writing and researching the updated and fully expanded version of The Music Library Book, published by Fuel. The initial book - called The Music Library, was the first ever overview of library music and the wild, unpredictable graphic art of their sleeves. It was first published in 2005 and featured about 400 sleeves and about 120 library companies over 200+ pages. The book was based on over a decade of intense library LP collecting by myself and a handful of other geeky weirdos and made for fascinating and revealing reading and looking. It was a great education for many entering this odd, hidden musical world for the first time. The book quickly sold out.

A few years later the price of the original book had gone bananas. But the geeky weirdos like me had all carried on voraciously consuming and collecting library music so I strongly felt the first book could easily be doubled in size with new info, new sleeves and many newly discovered lost library companies. Which is exactly what I set about doing. The Music Library expanded edition came out in 2015. You have to realise here that The Music Library book was very much a first - until its unexpected arrival (and even the arrival of the much larger expanded edition) there was no published survey, accessible catalogue or anything about international library music. It was still an odd old world shrouded in some historical mystery - even the internet had not really caught up. And I was still finding unusual British one-off library LPs, more unusual Italian library diversions, hidden French funky things and then I finally found Peter Patzer. From Germany.

Hidden away in a very obscure music library corner. All on his own.Peter was unusual in that he was an artist and musician who made his own music and issued it all on his own library, called Crea Music, based out of Bremen in North Germany. Over a series of eight whitevinyl LPs produced in the 1980s Peter Patzer created synth heavy experiments for possible use in film, TV, video and anything else coming along. All his LPs had the same simple red, white and blue sleeve and a typed name and number. Across the eight LPs Peter goes to musical space, creates post-disco funk,travels to Vegas, goes all geological and more.

This is a compilation of some of the music featured across those eight LPs, and yes, it was initially
licensed a few years ago but I held it back as I wasn’t sure people were quite ready for the plugged-inway out drifting 1980s electro sound of Peter Patzer with his synth washes, rhythms and chords. Or maybe I wasn’t ready. Anyway it’s here now... and if this sells out there could be another Peter Patzer LPbut with all his longer 7 minute compositions which there wasn’t room for here.

Following the success of his recent releases, Mendekua and Electro Bloody Music, Barro’s honcho Nöle demonstrates that he is at one of his creative peaks with this new four-track EP.

Cinematic as its name suggests, “Xenomorph” is a claustrophobic industrial techno powerhouse, brimming with intense EBM nuances that are both unsettling and frenetic—perfect for dancing with your hair standing on end.

Last but not least, “Ghost Dancer,” is one of the most purely techno tracks, showcasing haunting synths mid-way through. It’s heavy material fit for the dance floor.

The fourth episode of the Barbatus odyssey comes from Torrent, a Barcelona-bred pirate, who translates an intricate story of a malicious time loop that Captain Barbatus and his fellow pirates get stuck in.



From sorrow and remorse, to acceptance and hope, the four tracks are packed with emotion. I grew up with the French Touch, and this is my way of coming back to it with my own voice.” Closing the journey, “Louder” is the most assertive track on the EP. Inspired by the UK bassline and garage scene, it bursts with percussive, punchy energy. This is where everything comes into full light, bold, unapologetic, and free. “I wrote Louder as a statement: I’m here, I exist, and I won’t stay silent anymore. It’s about partying as self-affirmation, as a joyful, powerful scream of identity. Meant to be played loud. Very loud.” Mira Ló, born Ana Lopez, is a queer producer and DJ based in Paris. Drawing from the full spectrum of club music, her sets and productions blend melancholic emotion with a unique, high-energy, euphoric touch - inspired by artists like Disclosure, salute, and Sammy Virji. From her early days playing in Parisian bars and intimate clubs, she quickly rose to the lineups of top French venues and festivals such as Peacock Society, Marvellous Island, and Lollapalooza - extending her reach across Europe and even to Chicago. She’s carved out a strong place for herself within the new wave of the French electronic scene, leaving a lasting impression with every appearance. In 2023, she released her debut EP Memories and was featured in Apple Music’s “Women In Electronic” series. That same year, she became a resident at Sacré in Paris, before unveiling her second EP Tribute To Chicago in 2024. She returns in 2025 with her third release, Stronger - once again proving she’s one of the most promising artists shaping the future of electronic music.

Mikkel Metal makes a welcome return to Echocord with his new ‘Rebuild’ EP, accompanying remixes from Luke Hess and Frenk Dublin.
Copenhagen’s Mikkel Metal is a pioneering figure in dub-techno and minimal house, known for his atmospheric soundscapes and textured production. With acclaimed releases on Kompakt and Echocord, including Close Selections, Victimizer, and Peaks and Troughs he’s cemented his place as one of Denmark’s most distinctive electronic artists. Here he continues to dispay this further diving into new sonic realms with a new EP for Echocord.
Title-track ‘Rebuild’ opens, a hazy excursion through metallic, reverberations, expansive atmospherics and crisp drums before Detroit’s own Luke Hess steps in to offer his interpretation, delivering his signature groove-driven style, extracting the essence of the original and stirring it in amongst robust drums and spiralling dub echoes. ‘Bend’ is up next and displaying Mikkel’s production prowess as he blends murky bass flutters and analogue rhythms with psychedelic guitar melodies and dynamic space echoes, resulting in something that sounds uniquely his own. ‘Steam’ continues this theme with further psychedelia infused guitar tones flowing alongside breathy vocal stylings and fluttering atmospherics tucked into the depths. Rotterdam, Netherlands based artist Frenk Dublin delivers his ‘Deep Space Rework’ of ‘Stream next, reshaping the original into something entirely different with a dropped-tempo roots dub aesthetic, weaving fragments of the original into the composition alongside swaying dub drums and heavy doses of sub. ‘Midnite’ then concludes the release, another experimental sonic foray into unique effect processing, glitched out percussion, haunting vocals, plucked bass notes and expansive atmospherics

Rising star Arjuna Oakes and renowned composer John Psathas return for a new collaborative project ‘Sierra’ after their underground hit ‘Future Lullaby’. Fusing Greek folk instrumentation with modern Jazz and recorded live in Athens’ iconic Sierra Studios, this EP brings together electrifying musicians from New Zealand and Greece to experiment and express themselves through the lens of Oakes and Psathas’ compositions.

The ‘Sierra’ EP is a unique capture, a snapshot in time for all those involved in its creation. For Arjuna and Sam, the EP marked their departure from New Zealand to live in London to pursue their respective music careers. For everyone else involved the EP offered a chance to create something different from their usual work, and express themselves in a different musical landscape. The excitement and creative freedom is an essential ingredient in what makes this EP work, and you can hear it all bubbling to the surface throughout the record.

Strong one on Voyage Direct from Rotterdam's Benny Rodrigues...TIP!

The label say "Benny Rodrigues seems to delight in confounding critics. Since making his debut alongside Darko Esser with 2007's Underwater Records-­-released 'Paradox', the Rotterdam-­-based DJ has surprised and excited at every turn.

Variously delivering woozy tech-­-house, rave revivalism, stripped-­-back minimal, jackin' acid, wide-­-eyed deep house and, under his occasional ROD alias, shirts-­-off warehouse techno. Along the way, he's released music on some of Europe's most prestigious labels, including Desolat, Soma, EC Records, Be As One and Wolfskuil Records.

Here, he makes his debut for Tom Trago's Voyage Direct imprint with two undulating, hypnotic, heads-­-down tracks that blur the boundaries between house and techno. Rhythmically loose but impressively tough - like all of Rodrigues' best productions - both cuts are built around mesmerising late night grooves and intoxicating chords.

'Master French' kicks things off, lacing nagging shakers, subtle synth strings and fluttering chords over a robust, shuffling tech-­-house groove. Rodrigues works the mix like a master, bringing elements to the fore before sliding them into the background. It's a simple, heads-­-down, 4am groove, but it's executed brilliantly.

'Z', on the other hand, is an altogether breezier affair, with repetitive, new age-­- inspired synthesizer melodies seemingly drifting over a rock solid house groove. Notable ride cymbals and warm beats proper the track forward, giving it a humid, tropical feel. This is music to move the body, mind and soul. "
