All you can do with Mars89's mesh of gutter sonics is pick out the landmarks you recognise: 'oh yeah that's kinda drill, mmmm gqom, oooo Night Slugs' but like the best hallucinations you just shut your eyes and ride it.End of The Deathsounds like it comes from no place in particular.

Slotting way outside of the current batch of hard-to-describe club music that we're all struggling with, End of The Deathis the Tokyo native's third release, his 2nd for Bokeh (after 2017's Lucid DreamEP) and his first official appearance on wax (after a run of 30 'Biological Tides'/'Poltergeist' dubplates). Bokeh pays full respect to Mars89's futuristic intent with a bad acid Akira sleeve airbrushed by Patrick Savile and a limited VR headset edition - accompanied by a 360° video environment by Seth de Silva.

Bokeh Edwards and Mars89 met at the Bokeh Versions x Diskotopia night in Tangram hairdressers, Tokyo (sponsored by Pioneer) in October 2016. He's a crucial member of the Tokyo's Chopstick Killahz, a self-described "Post Tribal DJ Unit" lurking on the fringes of the city's grime scene. Mars89's self released his debut EP East End Chaos in 2016 on a limited run of zines. He's also recently composed music for Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo 2017A/W and started a residency at Bristol's Noods Radio to highlight DJ and production talent elsewhere in Asia.

The second release from De Grey introduces the debut 12" from Yorkshire native Jack Angle
WEEK-END, opening proceedings, with skeletal kicks and jacked percussion combining to maximize damage on the dancefloor. 6PNHHPE follows up with brooding acid and sub bass pressure. On the flip, STABILIZER lightens the mood with lush synths whilst SEITA rounds things off with playful melodies juxtaposed with an industrial framework.

The original, the inspirational, the bombastic, the never bettered, the one.

OK, so the scoop, for the uninitiated is this - the Peech Boys were Larry Levan's group, we're talking early 80's NYC here, 1982 to be precise, around the height of the Paradise Garage as Larry was making the transition from superstar DJ to producer. He brought a sparse, dubbed out, narcotic late night feel to the overall sound of this record. This was a short-lived project, but the influence is still felt today, the Peech Boys DNA is inside the veins of modern dance music, as is Larry's. There is no underestimating what an impact this record had. 7+ minutes of electronic bliss, trailblazing stuff, and don't get us started on the dub. Do yourself a favour, BUY this classic if you don't own it already, you'll keep coming back to it time and time again. Guaranteed. This essential 12" is repressed here in it's original 1979 glory, an essential classic that has stood the test of time for the last 30+ years & is now available again, remastered & repressed for 2017 in conjunction with West End Records, NYC.

We're quite agnostic, and unreligious, but if there is any vibes associated with the EP (and maybe all of our music) it is very Buddhist in its ideas. Mindful. Aware of impermanence.
The whole EP is about being with the one(s) you love when everything else around you breaks down. Looking inward, with pure love, in the hope to radiate outward, rather than pushing for a fight, or running away. Recorded, written, and produced in isolation by Stephen and Penelope on our own in East London Studio space.
The EP starts with the song 'End Of Times' which is a dramatic, Shangri-Las influenced take on feeling powerless in a chaotic world, but still high on love. Happiness can be found in analog reverb. This is followed by 'Serenity', a hard and tranquil meditation of past + future.
Side 2 leads with 'Heart Control', with a slight nod to Pink Floyd. A nine minute plea to ourselves to keep it all focused and under control... The EP closes with 'Darkness Falls'. The lyrics for this came from an apocalyptic dream that Penelope had, and wrote down in the morning. the music is 100% purely modular, er, except for the tiny bits of guitar at the end.

But while their motto may have been 'Where The Sun Sets & The Stars Rise' Bitter End Records embarks on a distinctly more 21st century path to dancefloor salvation...

This recalls the brief but genre defying 1990 jams from Mundo Muzique's 'Revelation' project: synth assisted house-nosis, buoyed by the mantric voice imploration to accept higher states of carnality atop an immersive blanket of propulsive rhythms.

Once again Bitter End rips up the rule book, and crafts a whole set of new, better ones in which freedom reigns

The Black Forest boys from Liquid Phonk deliver this decent summer jam 'In The End There Is A Smile', a beauty of a beach anthem, which received proper remix treatments by the maestros Lovebirds and Truccy aka Rainer Trueby and Corrado Bucci.

Originally released in 2005, this sought after 12' from West End offshoot West End Blue gets an exclusive reissue for 2017. A four track slice of night time Detroit Soul comes backed with a remix from fellow Motor city resident Theo Parrish.

End Of Dayz presents its tenth release with All Stars Vol 1., some old friends and a new face on the label. Ness, who made a remix on the 002 brings us his original track "Semblance". NX1, who remixed the first reference and did the 003, brings us a mysterious "EOD4". On the B side we have Nehuen, who has already published as CWS (with Cardopusher) the reference 006. This time brings us his track "Fight Or Flight Response". Finally, we welcome to End Of Dayz the German Sebastian Habben and his track "BDT"

End Of Dayz 009 is by the mysterious 30drop. His works are described by himself as Detroit techno inspired music mixed with repetitive european techno.
In this release "On The Next Day EP" we find on A side the terror history called "They Saw It Again" and the Jeroen Search remix that is a very danceable rhythmic techno with some cosmic stuff. The B side is for "Raw" where we can listen to some space bells. Here is the remix by an old friend of this label, P.E.A.R.L., bringing the track into a darker place.

A collection of synth-based burners, strong drum loops and danceable melodies. Italo-Trance for the whole family to enjoy.

New End Of Dayz "Lost" by the italian producer Kaiser with remixes by Janzon (Germany) and CoastDream (Brazil). Played by Ben Sims, Angel Molina, Takaaki Itoh, John Barera...

Tensnake's standard In The End (I Want You To Cry) release gets not one, but seven remixes. A nod to the good old remix double pack craze of the nineties, you will find them spread out over two plates. Ranging from a classic Tiger & Woods treatment to Prins Thomas quirkiness via Lone's happiness, two versions by Shan, the timid DJ Oyster as well as Pete Herbert's & Dicky Trisco's respectful re-arrangement, this one has it all: disco, techno, jungle (alomost!), house, cheese & chocolate!

Bristol based imprint Timedance launched in February this year, with the 'Cardinal' 12" by label head Batu (Hotline, Dnuos Ytivil).
Following on from this the label travels further into dark, off-kilter UK techno territories with a debut 12" by L.SAE.

L.SAE is a new project by Joe Higgins, also known as Metrist (Resin, Fifth Wall), exploring experimental techno-tempo music. He creates a distinctively raw, atmospheric sound palette, referencing material from early Drum & Bass, noise-techno and 90s IDM.
Both tracks are tough as nails, containing thunderous distorted kick drums and clattering percussion, but also delicate, mournful synth work.

End Of Dayz Records was created in this year of changes, the end of an era, the beginning of other times.. That's what we hope. This new label is owned by a Discos Paradiso crew member, Dj Bruce Lee. After 15 years in the underground scene in Barcelona, he has decided to create this platform.
