Die gute Tradition, dass zu runden und halbrunden Band-Geburtstagen eine Zusammenfassung ihres Schaffens erscheint, wird auch durch Eisbrecher - Es bleibt kalt°! (2003-2023) zum Zwanzigjährigen aufrechterhalten. Zwingend notwendig, denn in den letzten Jahren ist das Repertoire durch die Veröffentlichungen von Schicksalsmelodien und Liebe Macht Monster um mehr als ein Dutzend Hits angewachsen. Aber bevor am 18. August das vorliegende Machtwerk Eisbrecher - Es bleibt kalt°! (2003-2023) als 2CD-Digipack, Doppel-Vinyl (eine Platte schwarz, eine weiß) und Digital Audio Longplay erscheint, kommt bereits am 7. Juli, passend zum Pre-Order-Start des Albums, der Track "Wir sind Gold" auf den Markt.
Diesen Song gab es bislang nur auf einer speziellen Promo-CD und der US-Version von Sturmfahrt und ist bis dato digital unveröffentlicht. Es ist nicht lupenrein überliefert, ob der Track "Wir sind Gold" ein Resultat der Gold-Verleihung für die Alben Die Hölle muss warten und Schock ist, aber bei Eisbrecher passiert nichts ohne Vision und ohne Augenzwinkern.

Um den Fans den Track, der auf eBay hoch gehandelt wird, endlich zugänglich zu machen wird dieser vorab nicht nur als Single auf den Markt kommen, sondern auch als Lyric-Video auf YouTube zu sehen sein. Damit nicht genug, gibt es mit "Anfang" einen zweiten Song, der digital das Licht der Welt noch nicht erblicken durfte, sondern auf einer längst vergriffenen Metal Hammer-Compilation aus dem Jahr 2021 sein physisches Dasein fristet. Nicht mehr lange, dann wird auch diese Rarität die Ohren aller Fans verwöhnen. Fest steht: Eisbrecher - Es bleibt kalt°! (2003-2023) ist ein mit Liebe zum Detail geschnürtes Geburtstagspaket, das ordentlich die Korken knallen lässt. Stimmungsvoll wird somit die Wartezeit
zum nächsten Album verkürzt. 40 Hits in 20 Jahren, das macht so schnell keine andere, vor allem harte deutsche Band, nach. Der Status als außergewöhnliches Phänomen der hiesigen Musikszene ist gefestigt. Das Beste: Die nächsten 20 Eisbrecher-Jahre beginnen hier und jetzt, unberechenbar und unaufhaltbar, aber mit einem Versprechen: Es bleibt kalt!

Part I
In the fight against Alzheimer's, epilepsy, schizophrenia and other diseases characterized by an imbalance in neuronal activity, there are chemical weapons, such as those that try to prevent the protein fragments known as beta-amyloid plaques from developing in the cerebral cortex , and physical, such as electrical stimulation that allow to restore the functionality of brain cells. This last resort, which has already been shown to be effective in modifying the activity of the cerebral cortex, is today a weapon of general intervention. Converting it to precision requires the development of individualized and predictive brain models that allow identifying where and how much to stimulate each patient. To achieve this, an international European team is working on the creation of virtual replicas of the most unknown organ in the body: the Neurotwin project.

According to recent research, the decrease in power in the neuronal oscillations of the gamma band of the cerebral cortex (a pattern whose frequency ranges between 20 and 50 Hertz) favors the development of protein fragments related to Alzheimer's.

Transcranial application of weak electrical currents has proven to be an effective and painless way to modulate brain activity without side effects.

The objective is to create complete computational models of the brain with real data of living beings (human patients) and that allow to anticipate and specify the effects of non-invasive stimulation techniques on neurological mechanisms.

The Neurotwin project is the successor to an initiative that encompasses many projects called Virtual Physiological Human, which was based on the idea of creating a complete model of a human being on a computer, to perform non-invasive tests at the computational level. Now the concept has been derived to "Digital Twin", which seeks not only to have an equal computational model for everyone, but to create "twin" digital models of each patient in order to be able to make personalized medicine from the genome of each individual. Specifically, in our project, we have focused on digital twin brains, which would be representations of patient brains created from data extracted with current neuroimaging and brain activity monitoring techniques.

DeYarmond Edison war der Vorläufer von Bon Iver und Megafaun. Im Sommer 2005 verließen vier Freunde Wisconsin in Richtung North Carolina mit einem einzigen Ziel: der Folk-Rock-Flaute zu entkommen. Während eines Jahres intensiver Konzentration, des Studiums und der Verletzlichkeit taten sie genau das, indem sie an den ekstatischen Rand des New Weird America vordrangen und von allem ein bisschen ausprobierten - Grindcore und Gospel, Free Jazz und Phasenstücke, Bluegrass und Blues - und es in DeYarmond Edison packten. Der Rest ist Geschichte_ Ein Mitglied ging nach Hause, um das zu gründen, was später Bon Iver werden sollte, während drei vor Ort blieben, um Megafaun zu gründen. Epoch ist die Geschichte von DeYarmond Edison: Brad Cook, Phil Cook, Justin Vernon und Joe Westerlund, erzählt wie nie zuvor. Die Sammlung umfasst fünf LPs, vier CDs, Dutzende von ungehörten Aufnahmen und ungesehene Fotos. Es ist eine Geschichte über Gemeinschaft, Visionen, Familie und ein Quartett, das zu gut sein wollte, um zu bestehen. Es gibt Momente des Experimentierens, subtile Wendungen im Fuzz von "Epoch" und eine stampfende Herangehensweise beim Covern von "All Tomorrow's Parties", die den Grundstein dafür legten, wie Bon Iver und Megafaun die akustische Musik ein wenig umkrempeln würden. Aber ein Großteil von Epoch unterstreicht die einzigartige Sichtweise der Gruppe auf amerikanisches Songwriting, auf das Nehmen von Patchworks, das Finden der Akkorde und das Singen aus vollem Herzen. "Trials, Troubles and Tribulations" ist ein Beispiel dafür. Am bekanntesten ist es als Duett von Justin Vernon und Sharon Van Etten, das hier in ausufernder Last-Waltz-Manier wieder zum Leben erweckt wird, mit Vocals von Megafaun, Justin Vernon, Frazy Ford und Fight the Big Bull. Das von Will Yip (Circa Survive, Code Orange) produzierte Album vereint Post-Hardcoreund Punk-Einflüsse mit einer gesunden Portion Pop-Songwriting, um ein Album zu erschaffen, das sich über die Konventionen der Szene hinwegsetzt und etwas völlig Einzigartiges schafft. Um dies zu erreichen, begab sich die Band - bestehend aus Sänger Patrick Miranda, Gitarrist Ira George, Schlagzeuger Spencer York und Bassist Austin Cressey - dreimal in das Studio 4 von Yip in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, um die Songs zu schreiben und aufzunehmen, die schließlich zu RUCKUS! wurden. ”Ich glaube wirklich nicht, dass es einen strafferen Prozess hätte geben können, und ich glaube nicht, dass wir jemals Musik geschrieben haben, die so gut ist wie das, was wir für diese Platte zusammengestellt haben”, erklärt Miranda. Originally released in 2003, the album soared to no. 16 in the US and stayed on the chart for 104 weeks. Now certified 4x platinum for sales of nearly four and a half million albums, the collection has been updated in both number of songs and audio quality, expanding the original 30-track best of with 50 more of the band’s most beloved songs for a total of 80 tracks that span their earliest hits to deeper fan-favorite cuts and from their 1962 debut album, Surfin’ Safari through to 1989’s Still Cruisin’.

2023 Repress

I Care 4 U is the first posthumous compilation album by the "Princess of R&B," Aaliyah. Following her tragic and untimely passing, Blackground Records released a posthumous record including songs from her studio albums and previously unreleased tracks and demos, as well as hit singles and recordings that ultimately did not land on any previous albums. The compilation album was a commercial success and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum. It features the previously unreleased "Miss You."

Mit dem Debütalbum „Old Time Feeling“ stellte sich 2020 die amerikanische Sängerin, Songschreiberin und Gitarristin S.G. Goodman vor. „Teeth Marks“ ist S.G. Goodmans zweites Album auf Verve Forecast, wie der Vorgänger wurde es produziert von Jim James von der Band My Morning Jacket. James über Goodman: „Ich denke, sie könnte

Factory Benelux presents a limited (500 copies only) orange vinyl edition of Retrofit, the seventh studio album from post-punk trailblazers Section 25, originally released in 2010. First time on vinyl.

Recorded before the untimely death of founder member Lawrence Cassidy in February 2010, Retrofit saw cult Factory Records group Section 25 revisit key tracks from their 1980s back catalogue, remade and remodelled for the 21 st century using an appropriate mix of new and old technology.

‘Gathered here is a selection of Section 25 faves, re-recorded and re-thought. The idea is born from their invigorating live set – compelling use of technology to lift them (almost) free from the familiar shards of 80s underground. Shockingly, this newattack works. Singer/Songwriter, Country, R&B und Bigband-Swing bringt Lyle Lovett auf seinem neuen Album ganz selbstverständlich unter einen Cowboy-Hut. In seiner langen Karriere als Musiker und Schauspieler hat er sich eh noch nie über Genre-Grenzen Gedanken gemacht. Auf seinem ersten Album seit über 10 Jahren, seinem Debüt bei Verve Records, mischt er Balladen aus eigener Feder mit swingenden Big-Band-Nummern, darunter bekannte Standards wie „Straighten Up And Fly Right“ und „Cookin‘ At The Continental“. Der britische Singer-Songwriter James Bay ist nicht zurück zu halten: Am 8. Juli veröffentlicht er sein lang-ersehntes drittes Studioalbum „Leap“ und springt voller Mut ins Kalte.

Kombinat 100, der bandverdächtige Liveact aus dem Norden, veröffentlicht nun mit "Wege übers Land" sein lang erwartetes Debüt- Album. Das, was bisher den Dancefloor zum Einstürzen brachte, bekommen wir nun sauber im Studio aufpoliert und arrangiert. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Retrospektive der unzähligen Live-Gigs der vier Jungs aus Mecklenburg. Ihre Tracks entstehen auf der Bühne, sind für die Bühne konzipiert. Deshalb muss es auch niemenaden verwundern, wenn man von Anfang bis Ende mitgeht. Kaum ein Genre wird ausgelassen, wenn Kombinat 100 seine Einflüsse aus Techno, House, Dub, Pop und Jazz reflektiert. Aber auch die heißgeliebten handgemachten musikalischen Augenblicke dürfen natürlich nicht fehlen. This summer, Merge will reissue A Giant Dog's first two full- lengths_2012's Fight and 2013's Bone _worldwide on limited- edition colored vinyl, reintroducing the world to the quintet Spoon's Britt Daniel calls "the greatest American rock and roll / punk band since I don't know when." Celebrating its tenth birthday in 2022 is A Giant Dog Fight , the Texas group's hard-to-find debut album, remixed, remastered, and pressed on green vinyl just for the occasion. All the trademark tenets of AGD lore are on display at the jump: monstrously adorable album art and punny title, whip-smart songwriting dolled up in denim and leather, boiled down to the sweetest moments and blown out to the masses with bravado to spare. Issued just two years after Houston's breakthrough debut, Whitney immediately signalled the genre-defying singer's intent to continue to push ahead and expand her palette. Shot by photographer Richard Avedon, the album cover depicts an iconic image of Houston — captured with a gleaming smile, bright eyes, teased-out afro, toned arms, and a right hand that appears to wave a friendly hello — whose active, athletic profile stands in contrast to the extremely formal sit-down shot of her that graces her '85 record. It's no coincidence that the first track on Whitney is the declarative "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)." Like Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and Madonna's "Material Girl," the feel-good smash is one of the quintessential '80s gems — a lithe, melodic, celebratory release of pent-up energy and loneliness that glides across club floors, shouts to the rooftops, and shrugs off any concerns about vulnerability or embarrassment. That claim still holds true. A brilliant fusion of pop, R&B, smooth jazz, and soul, Whitney is a showstopper – and one of the key reasons Houston is the most-awarded female artist of all time.

Bob Dylan was at several crossroads in the mid-1970s. Artistically, he was largely written off as being past his prime. Emotionally, he was suffering through a painful divorce from his then-wife Sara Lowndes. Creatively, he appeared at a stalemate, his previous decade's unprecedented run of transformational brilliance finished. Then came Blood on the Tracks.

A start-to-finish cycle that documents a lover's pursuit of, entanglement with, and loss of a woman, the bracingly intimate 1975 effort remains one of the most encompassing break-up albums ever made and ranks as the most personal statement of the Bard's career. To hear it is to experience the agony, frustration, trauma, highs, lows, confusion, sadness, and, ultimately, requisite redemption associated with intimate relationships gone astray. Dylan maintains it's a work of fiction, but it's evident close-vested autobiographical premise is what helps make it universal: It's the icon singing through tears, going out of his mind, battling hallowing emptiness, firing shots across the bow, and accepting culpability. Backed by Tony Brown's flexible albeit subtle bass, Buddy Cage's country-streaked pedal-steel guitar, and Paul Griffin's soul-baring organ – an instrument used to shadow, tuck-point, and illuminate here as effectively as any time in rock history – Dylan pours soulful emotion, open his veins, and bleeds.
