Co-founder of Norway’s Ute collective, celebrated Oslo-based producer and DJ Ekkel revels in prog naturalis. Previous releases as Alvar and Shadowmages, his duo with S.O.N.S., perfected this tripped-out sound with a heavy emphasis on melody. Following last year’s celebrated appearance at an Earth Dog rave in Brooklyn, he returns to grace the crew’s fourteenth release with The Destination.

Opener Questions About Mindcontrol awakens the discordant synapses, an entanglement of melodies and rhythm with a certain progressive attitude. Home Or In A Dream (Miami Morning Mix) properly ascends with trance-like wonder and ecstatic lucidity, before So Quiet returns to dusk with a tek-no throb and acidic bite. Destination G concludes with a nocturnal shimmer, an unrelenting groove caught in its own hypnosis ‘til the finale.

Dark Wings marks a shift toward a looser, more collaborative sound for Mason Jennings, recorded in an unconventional studio space built inside a design workshop with drummer Scott McPherson and engineer Aaron Featherstone. What began as a single track evolved into an 11-song collection shaped by ongoing sessions, spontaneous collaborations, and a rotating cast of musicians. The result is a warm, full-band record that leans into texture, instinct, and the energy of capturing music in the moment—an inspired departure from Jennings’ more solitary recent work. Reissue of the debut album by Laghonia, one of the most important bands of Peruvian rock. Originally released in 1960, "Glue" will be cherished by lovers of Latin American rock, pop and psychedelia as practiced by other similar classic bands such as Traffic Sound, We All Together, Black Sugar and Telegraph Avenue. After four brilliant singles, in 1969 the Peruvian band New Juggler Sound, formed by Saúl Cornejo (guitar), David Levene (lead guitar), Ernesto Samané (bass), Carlos Salom (organ) and Manuel Cornejo (drums), changed their name to Laghonia and released their debut LP "Glue" on the MAG label. The album included those previously released tracks, which were very influenced by the British rock scene of those years, to which they added fiery guitars bursting with fuzz and wah-wah, the ever present and hypnotic Hammond organ sound and Latin American percussion and rhythms. The result was a wonderful mix of mid-60s British beatmelodies, Jimmy Hendrix's intense rock, Cream's heavy blues and Santana's Latin rock. "Glue" is regarded as one of the key albums of Latin American psych and garage rock and is an essential record for any fan of those genres. Deluxe edition: 180g vinyl LP in tip-on jacket and insert with liner notes.

A major figure in Cameroonian makossa, Ngallé Jojo returns with Élo-Lodie / Caresse d"Amour, his first recording in over 30 years. A singer, songwriter, and producer born in Douala, he rose to fame in the late 1970s with tracks that have become classics, before settling in France and dedicating himself to his faith, like Al Green or Solomon Burke. Now rediscovered by collectors and new audiences alike, he makes a comeback that retains all the hallmarks of his style: a driving rhythm, layers of synthesizers, rich melodies... and his signature catchphrase: CHAUD (Hot). A must- see.

After first meeting in dreams, in Brussels and Berlin, on landscapes that felt strangely close to Vilnius, Marija Rasa aka emer and Ugnė Uma leisurely rewrote those visions into songs.

Omega Sunrise was a US funk and soul outfit made from several members of the Seawind Horns and spent around eight months a year on the road from 1979 to 1986. They recorded a debut album in 1983 that charted well nationally and years on, Feel The Change remains a favourite of deep diggers. It was a 1983 private press release that had it all, from tight, snappy drums with mellow soul vocals and jazzy melodies drenched in spiritual vibes to more slow funk cuts with more defined drums. Brass tones, synth glows and a devotional energy all pervade the 11 cuts and this is its first-ever vinyl reissue, so do not sleep.

Whatever The Reflex is on at the moment, we want some - he's rolling out the jams left, right and centre across several different styles. For this drop, he has revisited his own revision: ten years after first dropping this and without countless plays from legends like Kerri Chandler, he retouches a disco-house fusion classic that rides big vocal hooks and smooth, breezy grooves. On the B-side he takes aim at another soulful gem and go-to DJ favourite with real invention. 'Nobody' has persuasive drum breaks and slithering synths that shimmer like heat waves and allow the acing, singalong vocal room to work its magic up top.

LOWERCASE sits in the darker progressive lane — trance-informed, disciplined and hard-edged. Militant pacing with low-end intent, built on pressure and control: long blends, transitions, and that slow-burn momentum that holds the floor without raising its voice.

Marlon George is a British DJ and producer based in London renowned for his "slightly spacey, casually jazzy, and fully groovy house music," with support from names as illustrious as Kyle Hall and Jimpster. But really, if he's getting signed by the legendary Trelik, then that's all you need to know about his skills. He lays them bare across three tasteful cuts here, starting with the liquid dub of 'My Secrets Are Safe With Me' with its wispy shards of light piercing the water's surface and glistening against the dusty hi-hats. 'Najagen' has more drive but no less depth and warmth to it and 'Do The Rha!' is another smoky, minimal, heady dub house roller that sneaks right under your skin.

River Songs sees Al Wootton head deeper into esoteric rhythmic territory. Polyrhythmic hand percussion and bells are offset with modular synthesis and narcotic sound design that evokes the mysteries of the rainforest and the inherent psychedelia of nature. A heady dance floor river ride through unknown and uncharted spaces.

Grandeza, the debut album by Sao Paulo’s Sessa, points to new, subtle directions for modern Brazilian music – a deep, minimalist, almost insinuated use of the rich textures that define the songwriting history of Brazil, one which Sessa now joins among its most promising new voices. His songs are sung in Portuguese, with visceral, sensual lyrics in the vein of Caetano Veloso, and the melodic flourishes of Tom Jobim and Arthur Verocai.

However, the music gets a deliberate minimalist treatment rarely found in contemporary Brazilian music, more reminiscent of the bareness of Leonard Cohen, with touches of tropicalia, psychedelia, and the mystic jazz of Moondog and Pharoah Sanders. Recorded in various locations between São Paulo and New York City.

As Is. Nimm es oder lass es. Girl Trouble sind seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 1984 in ihrer Heimatstadt Tacoma, Washington, ihrem ganz eigenen Stil des Northwest-Garage-Rock treu geblieben. In diesen 42 Jahren, in denen sie dem Ruhm aus dem Weg gegangen sind, hat Girl Trouble in vielen erstklassigen Studios und für viele verschiedene Labels aufgenommen. In den letzten 15 Jahren hat die Band Dutzende neuer Tracks aufgenommen und dabei den Sound gefunden, den sie suchten: etwas Roheres und Echtes. Etwas Neues. Während sie das Experiment fortsetzten, beschloss die Band, alle ihre jüngsten Aufnahmen zu einem ,Rock-Tapestry" zusammenzufassen. Die Adult-Punks von DEBT RAG beweisen einmal mehr das explosive Potenzial gemeinschaftlicher Zusammenarbeit. ,It Is Clear What's Going On" gewährt uns einen Einblick in ihr gemeinsames Gedankengut, das auf Band als ein pulsierendes, funkelndes Ganzes festgehalten ist. Matt Scottoline - Sänger, Songwriter und Frontmann von Philadelphias bester Indie-Rock-Band, HURRY - ist ein Grübler. Das ist verständlich; wir leben in unruhigen Zeiten, in denen sich die Welt so schnell verändert, dass man kaum noch mithalten kann. Für Matt treffen diese Ängste diesmal jedoch näher an seinem Herzen: die bevorstehende Vaterschaft, ein runder Geburtstag am Horizont und quälende Fragen über seinen Platz in der Musikszene. Braucht die Welt wirklich ein neues Hurry-Album? Nach den zehn Songs zu urteilen, aus denen ,Zoned Out" besteht - Hurrys sechstes Album in voller Länge und das vierte bei Lame-O Records -, lautet die Antwort ein klares Ja. Aufgenommen im The Metal Shop von Ian Farmer und koproduziert von Farmer und Scottoline, zeigt das Album Hurry in Bestform. Erneut unterstützt von Rob DeCarolis am Schlagzeug, Joe DeCarolis am Bass und Justin Fox an der Gitarre, klingt die Band geschlossener denn je - so perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt, dass sich alles mühelos anfühlt. Schon beim Eröffnungstrack ,All Sunk In" mit seinen stampfenden E-Gitarren und der Ohrwurm-Melodie ist der Ton sofort gesetzt. Die Verstärker sind lauter, der Groove strahlt eine selbstbewusste Lässigkeit aus, und Matts Stimme klingt besser denn je. ,Moving After You", das Highlight des Albums, klingt wie der beste Song, den Teenage Fanclub nie aufgenommen hat - was den Gastauftritt von Gerard Love umso perfekter macht. Es ist zeitlose Popmusik, gemacht für diese Zeit.

Foreign Tongues, das neue Studioalbum der Rolling Stones, umfasst 14 Songs und folgt weniger als drei Jahre nach dem vielfach ausgezeichneten Vorgänger Hackney Diamonds, der weltweit Spitzenpositionen in den Charts erreichte und mehrfach mit Platin ausgezeichnet wurde. Eingeleitet wird das Album von der beschwingten und eingängigen Lead-Single „In The Stars“. Foreign Tongues entstand innerhalb eines Monats in den Metropolis Studios in West-London, wo Mick Jagger, Keith Richards und Ronnie Wood erneut mit dem Grammy-prämierten Produzenten Andrew Watt zusammenarbeiteten. The album was written, arranged, produced, and recorded by Sebastian Kinsler, Lydia Slocum, and Jake Kelley across their respective homes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A spirited investigation into the unnatural space created between human nature and a culture of convenience, a synthesis of dirt and digital, bitknot by feeble little horse creates a language wherein one can re-imbue a sanctity of interdependence away from consumptive “self-suciency” and materialism. Slocum’s meandering introspection playfully harmonizes against Kinsler’s hooks, walls of noise, a supercharged car battery’s worth of synths and samples dropped in the ocean of their guitar-driven songwriting framework.

After appearing on Kulture Galerie Volume 4 alongise Uncanny Valley and fellow North Marcedonian Herzel, L.O.V.D joins the Digital Artefacts series with 'Dive'.

L.O.V.D is a doctor by day, synth geek by night, set between North Macedonia and Berlin. The title track of this new EP on Kulture Galerie was being picked for a mixed comp by Voltage Lab and his sound is started to being recognised internationally with appearances at many music festivals with his live set as well as international hotspots like Kiosk Radio.
