Concrete is a bracing jolt of a song, racing forward on a tightly wound post-punk riff, its call-and-response vocals capturing the turmoil and schizophrenic internal dialogue of the song's subject matter."It's about someone who's trapped in a relationship and they're being pummelled into surrender," says singer and lyricist Charlie Steen. "It's not about a physically abusive relationship - more an emotionally and psychologically draining one. The call-and-response vocals between Steen and bassist Josh Finerty is the central figure's own internal dialogue. They are dealing with two different things that they don't want to address."The band cite The Fall, Country Teasers, Television Personalities and Wire among their biggest influences, and the icily claustrophobic sound of Concrete sets it in a lineage with Magazine, Joy Division. As a lyricist, Steen is a modern flâneur, forensically observing the lives of others around him as they unspool and fracture, with Hubert Selby Jr and Irvine Welsh his primary literary influences. "That graphic and harsh style of writing always interested me," he explains. "It's not about the shock factor; it's about the fact they are talking about these things in such great detail without stripping anything back."The London five piece have swiftly earned a reputation as one of the most visceral and exhilarating live bands in the UK, their combustible shows being honed through a heavy touring schedule in the UK and across Europe. Cutting their teeth on the squat-punk scene in the Queen's Head in Brixton in 2015, where they were taken under the wing of Fat White Family, the white heat of their gigs quickly landed them support slots with Slaves and Warpaint. They were also personally invited by Billy Bragg to play the Left Field stage at Glastonbury this year.Following two singles - the AA single The Lick/Gold Hole and Tasteless on Fnord Communications as well as the digital-only Theresa May-baiting Visa Vulture (described by Steen as "the worst love song ever") - Concrete is the first track to be released as part of their record deal with Dead Oceans."We started this band as a joke that went too far," deadpans Steen. "What we do is quite strange and quite weird, but I get to meet a lot of people and I get to hear a lot of things. I am interested in the surrealism of reality."

Black Mountain, the front-line soldiers for the Black Mountain Army, an arts collective from Vancouver, British Columbia, write, perform and record music that speaks (and sings) to this realization: that solutions are rarely simple, that the world is as complex as it is ambiguous, and that music sprinkled with an inoculating dose of madness may well be the Pied Piper that takes us all back into the primordial mountain, where our hearts can be made steady and our minds can be set free. Their debut self-titled record, like a space probe built of erector set parts and transmitting secret and arcane messages to earth by string, charts territories unknown yet remains grounded by the roots of classic rock and roll. It is easy to discern these roots: Black Sabbath, Animals-era Pink Floyd, Blue Cheer, Led Zeppelin and Can. Principal songwriter Stephen McBean's vocals are a smoother, bluesier amalgam of the voices of Neil Young, Mick Jagger and perhaps a James Brown loaded on cough syrup. And when Amber Webber's voice joins Stephen's, the combination brings to mind the potency and chemistry of Richard and Linda Thompson singing together on Shoot Out The Lights, or of Meat Loaf and Ellen Foley howling together on Bat Out Of Hell. Musical comparisons aside, the Black Mountain full-length is one part protest song, one part pop-cultural commentary, and one part sick-groove-rock casserole peppered with mesmerizing ballads and intoxicating ditties. "Modern Music" is the lead-off hitter and counts its way to the imposing and riff-rife "Don't Run Our Hearts Around". Immediately thereafter, the sludge-rock masterpiece "Druganaut" establishes the fecund heart and tone of the record. Black Mountain have also just recently released a 12-inch single (on Jagjaguwar), including an extended mix of "Druganaut" on the A-side. And the band's currently sexploitative counterpart The Pink Mountaintops, a band that also pipes into the prolific well-spring of Stephen McBean's mind, released their self-titled debut record (on Jagjaguwar as well) this past summer. A video by Heather Trawick of the song "Druganaut" is included on the CD version of the Black Mountain self-titled record.

COS 009 - Unreleased Architecture A fusion of ambient, techno and IDM, often described as a form of “mental abstraction.” Created by Mark Cheney in a bedroom in Clapham, this release captures a moment defined by raw imagination and open-ended experimentation. It stands as a perfect reflection of that era – raw, inventive and deeply evocative – leaving a lasting sense of nostalgia for those who experienced it. For the first time, this release has been remastered and cut by Mike Grinser at Manmade Mastering. Pressed on 180g vinyl, it sounds exceptional - rich, detailed and full of depth. Originally intended for home listening, it’s been cut loud so it can be played in a club setting.

Beaubien is the name of the street I lived on in downtown Detroit in the late ’90s. Sometimes people forget how much trance influence was in that early techno from the area. I made this string patch back in 1999 in my loft above Nikki’s Pizza, and it’s been sitting on my hard drive with that title ever since. I never imagined I’d be playing it at Panorama Bar in Berlin one day, and that it would work. That track went off!

For the past two years, we have been playing almost every production by Matthew Dekay & Lee Burridge. Now we're very happy to welcome both of them on Innervisions IV38.

/// First track, Symmetry, debuted on BBC Radio 6 New Music Fix, 10th February: "A beautiful, beautiful album" /// I got my life back. On 17 February 2025, 1024 rays of ultra sound converged at an operation table in Bern, Switzerland, and disconnected a noisy circuit on my brain. 90% of the manifestation ceased – of a disease that I no longer wish to mention by its name. During the same period, I completed my new album: Self Help Manual. I’ve read more current research about the nameless disease than my neurologist, who despite that I didn’t follow his advice on suitable treatment, called me after the successful operation: a brave, brave man. I have composed the music in the same way as in my previous album – Songs for the Nervous System – through layers upon layers of improvisations in dialogue with my synthesizers, most of which are the same age as me. I made the majority of the songs in my studio in the remains of Old Hagalund in Solna. I edited the recordings in my bed during the waking hours of clarity at night. Some songs – NAC, Ketosis, Overkill – were recorded in the basement of my childhood home in Skutskär, in Norduppland, where I’d returned to be nurtured by my retired parents – who during a night when I couldn’t turn over in bed, or pull the blanket over me – made a list of what would happen to my belongings. To my friends who have stood out with me despite my disease, I want to state: you will not inherit me yet. On the new album, the electric bass takes on a leading role. ESG and Liquid Liquid have been important when I reinvented my baselines, limited and liberated by my poor fine motor skills. Plasma is my homage to Summertime Rolls by Jane’s Addiction, that I listened to frequently in my youth. I guess that no one will hear the resemblance. In several songs, the Fender Rhodes plays an important role, a magical instrument that I bought shortly after my diagnosis over a decade ago, and for a long time didn’t dare to touch out of respect for Herbie Hancock and Fela Kuti. A couple of songs draw inspiration from the Horn of Africa – Inner Nile and Delta. At first, subconsciously in the reverb-drenched Inner Nile, then more consciously in Delta. I’m sorry it doesn’t swing the right way, but it was my attempt to return to the cradle of humanity. Longevity is possibly my favourite. The melody is played by an arpeggiator that I controlled by pressing down different keys in an exhilarating sense of freedom. One song in particular, the second track – One – has caused friends to associate freely: one thought it sounded like Patrick Cowley, another like Sly & Robbie meets Kraftwerk, a third like Air – Moonlight Safari. I made one song just before the surgery: opening track Symmetry. It’s the mightiest and most minimal song. I made one song after the surgery: finishing track Self Help Manual. My previous medication pump is heard through the microphone of my Ovation Magnum. It’s the most hopeful song on the album. I took the cover photos with my Hasselblad during walks in Tokyo suburbs of Ōmori and Kamata more than ten years ago. It was something about the faith of the traffic cones that fascinated me – born in the same streamlined form, they had over the years become increasingly individual and lovable. The mixing was finalized by Christoffer Roth in the newly built Studio Dubious in Nacka. Rashad Becker, who in an interview said that he listens as much with his mouth as with his ears, mastered the album at Clunk in Berlin. Right now it feels like anything is possible. My recovery is perhaps a small step for mankind, but a giant leap for me. I hereby leave the music to you. Joakim Forsgren

Japanese DJ and producer Takuya Matsumoto has quietly established himself as one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from Japan's contemporary house scene. Known for his warm, deeply musical approach to production, Matsumoto blends classic house
sensibilities with jazz, funk and soulful influences, crafting records that balance dancefloor functionality with rich musicality. Through releases on respected international labels like Clone's Jack For Daze and Royal Oak, Vibes and Pepper, and Fina he's built a
reputation for refined grooves, elegant arrangements and a timeless approach to house music.
Across the six tracks Matsumoto once again radiantly showcases the depth of his production skills as the project sonically traverses Balearic-tinged House, bouncy acid- laced electro, cosmic nu-disco, breaks driven jungle and dub infused deep house.

German electronic pioneers DIGITALISM spread the urgent energy of OPTIMISM with their upcoming album and live performances all over Europe. A DIY spirit, in-the-moment energy and a low boredom threshold - all have been crucial to Digitalism's practice since they built their first track in a studio inside a WWII bunker in Hamburg, 20 years ago. OPTIMISM is the logical consequence of the band's steady development.

High-definition world building collides with incisive physical urgency around 170 BPM as Pianeti Sintetici makes his first appearance on Samurai Music. Davide Perrone's vivid production style found a more downtempo outlet on last year's release for Samurai sub label Saibai, but he pivots naturally towards the weightier presence of the Exoverse with a richly rendered suite of sonic systems teeming with life and pockmarked with mystery. The spacious drums that lead on 'Agilus' have an acoustic, in-the-room quality that instantly grounds the track before the myriad layers of synthesis start spiralling skywards, pitting twinkling pads against rapid, undulating acid wielded with assured control. By way of contrast 'Mimoide' burrows downwards, using needlepoint marks to puncture the brooding beds of sound looming in the middle distance. At the same time, Perrone weaves lithe, rubbery shapes across the foreground of the mix for a three-dimensional expression you can almost reach out and touch. Opening up a B side tipped towards a mellower pace, 'Living Plasma' leans into a 4/4 meditation as a vessel for another distinctive tapestry of modulating sound design from Perrone's seemingly infinite sonic resources. 'Exoverse' edges towards a more melodic standpoint with its teased flutters of arpeggio that sneak in and out of the mix and a harmonic dimension to the atmospheric layers that shape out the size of the track. Across all four pieces, the sheer detail at play in the Pianeti Sintetici universe is mind-boggling. By rights it should be a busy, stress-inducing experience, but Perrone's gift lies in the ability to take a macro view on these incredibly complex creations, zooming out by boiling the parts down into a symbiotic whole that feels patient and considered. The reward for the listener comes from taking the time to zoom in and marvel at every micro detail writhing across the surface.

Be As One boss Shlomi Aber returns to Chris Liebing's CLR with the 'Schema' EP, arriving 24th April 2026 alongside a remix from James Ruskin. Active since 1994, Aber has been a cornerstone of underground techno for over three decades, with his focused, hypnotic approach in both the studio and DJ booth leading to releases on some of the scene's most respected labels, including Cocoon, Ovum, Nonplus, and Figure. With the 'Schema' EP, he follows his recent 'Retrospective' EP for Ben Klock's Klockworks, as well as previous CLR outings such as the 'Limelight' EP (2025), and the 'Remote 101' EP (2023), which both kept a spot in the Beatport Techno chart for over two years after release, while winning support from the likes of Carl Cox, Alienata, Dave Clarke, and many more.

Shlomi Aber's 'Schema' EP opens with the title track and heads straight into subterranean territory, pairing weighty low-end pressure with tightly controlled tension. Rattling bass foundations are o?set by sharp hi-hats and static-laced textures that flicker through the mix, keeping the groove locked and the atmosphere charged.

On remix duties, James Ruskin, founder of the seminal Blueprint, delivers a shadowy, atmospheric rework. Eerie pads hang in the background as swampy bass anchors the rhythm, with haunted melodic elements slowly unfolding to create a deep, immersive take built for late hours and dark rooms.

Closing track 'Gasolina' sees Aber shifting into broken-beat territory, where warm, glitchy rhythms loop with hypnotic precision. Ghostly synth motifs drift in and out of focus, giving the track a cinematic, heady quality that rounds out the release with understated intensity.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, DJ Dextro, and more while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene, such as Risa Taniguchi, The Southern, and Klint.

The trilogy is finally complete as Deep Dish make their monumental return to Global Underground, following up the seminal Moscow and Toronto mixes with #GU49 Dublin. The legendary duo has delivered a masterclass in mixing. This isn’t just an album, it’s a legacy.

Nina Kraviz launches a new label.

treats is the younger, bratty sister label to trip, specialised in cool music for the dance floor that seems to ignore the idea of genres. To prove this point the first release brings together two tracks that have been roasted in Nina's sets for months and are genre bending.

On the A-side, Brazilian phenomenon and SoundCloud cowboy Joao Lagrima de Ouro teams up with Baile Funk legend MC Pogba. "Pitbull de Glocada" is an excessively naughty heater, with a serious nod to the regional Brazilian electronic music, creating an authentic blend of sounds.

On the B-side, Nina herself teams up with Rio de Janeiro marvel Mc Nick. The two met online, as Nina came across Nick's sensual hit "Mete com forza e com talento" and made her own version of it. Later during a Brazilian tour, the two finally met up on the mythical beach of Mc Nick's hometown where "sem amor" was recorded. Nina's signature minimalist production and approach to vocals pairs idyllically with Mc Nick's fiercely carnal and feminine raps.

treats 001 consists of two tracks with a fluctuating identity, spilling over with risque playfulness that might require parental advisory for some, but it's hard to deny the sheer joy these tracks exude.

DMA & Friends returns with a four-track EP from Groningen-based producer Mathijs Smit, one of the most interesting names emerging from the new wave of the Dutch underground scene.

Known for his hybrid approach between modern techno, progressive influences and intelligent club-oriented dance music, Smit has been steadily building a strong reputation through releases on labels such Superlux, alongside appearances across the Dutch underground circuit.

The band The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies emerged in 1991 in the Nashville blues scene. With their jam-oriented style, they quickly made a name in the live circuit and attracted the attention of major labels and ended up in the Billboard charts.

In 1996, they released their second album Magnolia. It was produced by Michael Barbiero (The Allman Brothers Band, Blues Traveler) and features a guest appearance by Warren Haynes of Gov't Mule. The album became a fan favourite and had two singles that appeared on the US Rock chart. Now, 30 years later Magnolia remains a Southern Rock classic and will finally be available on vinyl.

Rose Tattoo is the debut self-titled album by Australian hard rock band Rose Tattoo and was released in 1978. It was produced by the famous Vanda & Young team who are most known for their work with AC/DC.

After exstensive touring, "Rock n' Roll Outlaw" started to chart in Europe, peaking at No. 2 in France, No. 5 in Germany and No. 60 in UK.

The song "Nice Boys" was covered by Guns N' Roses in 1986 on their Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide EP and it was later re-released on their 1988 EP G N' R Lies. Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin have both claimed that Rose Tattoo changed their lives and confirmed to them that their own future was in rock 'n' roll. "Nice Boys" was also covered by punk band Nashville Pussy.

If you’ve spent any time in a London club over the last few years, you know the name. Rossi. has gone from being the “secret weapon” of the underground to the guy everyone is trying to book. After cutting his teeth with a residency at Fabric and tearing the roof off Printworks and Studio 338, he’s finally given us the anthem we’ve been waiting for.

The bosses new single on Homegrown., ‘Ease Your Mind,’ isn’t just another tech-house filler. It’s the perfect distillation of that “Rossi. sound” that’s been vibrating through the UK scene lately.

Now into its sixth year, NuNorthern Soul’s Summer Selections series has become a popular annual fixture. Like its predecessors, 2026’s edition showcases a variety of Balearic dancefloor workouts, sensual soundscapes and tracks tailor-made for poolside sun-down sets.

As usual, Summer Selections Six is a vinyl-first affair, offering wax enthusiasts a chance to cop killer cuts set to feature on a swathe of forthcoming NuNorthern soul releases – including some that would otherwise be unavailable on physical formats.

To begin, is It Balearic? label regulars and Rotation Sound System crew members Wrekin’ Havoc turn their attention to NuNorthern Soul favourite B.J Smith’s 2014 cover of Outkast’s ‘Prototype’. Their take, which will be featured on a forthcoming collection of reworks of Smith’s NNS material, places the long-serving producer’s beautiful, beguiling vocals atop lo-fi 80s electro beats, moody pads, squelchy synth sounds and far-sighted electronics.

Up next is label newcomer Sasha Foam, a fast-rising Lisbon-based DJ/producer whose Memoria EP is set to land digitally soon. ‘Curios’, his contribution to Summer Selections Six, is a propulsive and ear-catching affair, with joyful synth melodies, rushing piano riffs and cheerful TB-202 style acid tweaks rising above a crunchy, drum-machine driven mid-tempo groove.

Rounding off side A is ‘Call To Wind’, a rootsy, warming and sun-baked slab of Balearic dub gorgeousness from Strictly Dub Records founder Saimon AKA Roots Artefact. The track, which marks his first new material since last year’s NuNorthern Soul debut Different Perspective, is one of the many highlights set to be featured on the Estonian’s forthcoming Rocking Boat EP.

Turn to the flipside and you’ll find three more inspired, immersive treats. Dan Dub Lounge, Muzka and Simon Sheldon being their Visions of Light project back to NuNorthern Soul with the borderline genius ‘ReBorn Slippy’, an exotic, intoxicating and sitar-laden slow-motion instrumental cover of the Underworld favourite taken from their soon-come collection of ‘mild pitch’ takes of dance and electronic classics.

To complete another stellar Summer Selections 12-inch label founder Phil Cooper platforms two recent additions to the roster. First is Potteries-based producer Andrew Wright AKA Lonely Deckchair. Wright offers up ‘Adaflo’ from his forthcoming debut album. Atmospheric and magical, ‘Adaflo’ is a simmering, slowly unfurling fusion of poignant pianos, minimalist beats, shuffling bass and tumble-down chords.

Then there’s Aussie artist Perth Lewis, whose first two self-released albums (Moments In Time and Distance Between) were recently reissued by NuNorthern Soul. The Sydney-based producer is set to release a new EP, Cherry Moon, soon, and ‘Monolith’ is taken from that collection. Deep, dubby and beguiling, it sees Lewis pepper a head-nodding, effects-laden beat with spacey sonics, cascading piano motifs and some seriously sparkling synths.

With skynet T.6, the time has come for ROBOTRON to expand the network of SKYNET CYBERSONIX. From the signal zones emerges DOPPLEREFFEKT – with a conceptual transmission between time-fields, entropic resonance, and asymptotic states – entitled EONFIELD. Issued as a limited edition of 200 × 12″ copies, available on black or silver vinyl – including a numbered insert sheet, a sticker, and one of 50 randomly packed posters.

Eonfield is a conceptual framework in which reality is treated as a field defined not primarily across space, but across cosmological time scales approaching infinity. In this view, all physical states, structures, and observers are understood as functions evolving within an extended temporal domain, where the dominant variable is time in its asymptotic limit. As duration increases, local distinctions – such as form, energy distribution, and informational structure – undergo progressive smoothing under entropic dynamics. The Eonfield therefore describes a regime in which the evolution of the universe is no longer meaningfully characterized by discrete events or objects, but by the global behavior of fields approaching equilibrium conditions. Concepts like causality, locality, and state differentiation remain formally valid but lose practical significance as their effects are diluted across effectively unbounded temporal intervals.

Philosophically, the Eonfield reframes ontology around persistence rather than presence. Identity, within this framework, is not a fixed property but a transient configuration that becomes increasingly unstable as time extends toward infinity. Information is not annihilated but redistributed toward maximal entropy, rendering it inaccessible rather than nonexistent. The Eonfield thus represents a limiting description of reality in which all structured differences converge toward uniformity, and where the question of “what exists” is replaced by “what remains distinguishable over infinite duration.” It implies that being itself is subordinate to temporal extension, and that the ultimate condition of reality is not a state in the conventional sense, but a boundary behavior of all possible states under infinite time evolution.

Rafael makes a statement on his Crosstown Rebels debut with his latest two-track release, ‘Gotta Be Cool’. Out on 26th June 2026, the rising talent lands on Damian Lazarus’ imprint with one of the year’s most sought-after IDs, backed by a collaborative B-side alongside close friend N.O.Y. Long before its release, Rafael’s ‘Gotta Be Cool’ had already taken on a life of its own. Passed between dancefloors and the subject of track ID requests for months, the record became a recurring standout moment in Damian Lazarus’ sets, the kind of track that cuts through instantly without needing explanation. Now officially arriving via Crosstown Rebels, the in-demand DJ/producer’s highly anticipated label debut captures the instinctive approach that has quickly put him on the radar through releases on Beltools, Hot Creations, SZR, Planet X and Maccabi House.

Built around slow-blooming synth flourishes and vocal chants that evoke playful, almost childlike memories, it balances emotional weight with direct club energy - a combination that has made it one of the standout records in the label boss’s sets throughout the year.

On the flip, ‘Teder’ sees Rafael team up with close friend and studio collaborator N.O.Y. for a deeper, more understated cut shaped by layered percussion, fluid grooves, and loose, after-hours energy. ‘Teder,’ made together with my close friend and studio partner N.O.Y, represents a more underground side of the EP,” Rafael adds. “The track is named after the studio complex we work from, and it was actually the first record we created there together. I feel like both tracks showcase two different sides of me as a producer and DJ, with one more direct and euphoric, the other deeper and more underground.”

Curated by Brian d'Souza (aka Auntie Flo), Plants Can Dance is a forthcoming new compilation bringing together a global community of artists, exploring the creative possibilities of biosonification - transforming signals from plants, ecosystems and the natural world into sound. Out June 26th, the project marks the culmination of several years of d'Souza’s work across music, ecology and technology.

The album arrives at a time when more artists are turning toward nature as both subject and collaborator, such as Brian Eno’s Earth Percent, which formally recognises “Nature” as an artist. Plants Can Dance sits within a wider cultural shift, which is redefining the relationship between sound and the living world.

The project builds on several years of work by d'Souza, whose Plants Can Dance events have taken place across the UK, Europe, India and Africa, appearing in institutions including the V&A, Tate and the Design Museum. What began as a series of intimate gatherings has since evolved into a global platform, reflecting a growing appetite for work that reconnects music with the natural world.

The compilation features contributions from leading practitioners including Modern Biology (Tarun Nayar) in collaboration with saxophonist Zekarias Musele Thompson, OMMA (Olga Maximovam founder of Playtronica), Jason Singh, Dr Helen Anahita Wilson, Justin Wiggan in collaboration with celebrated Norwegian jazz musician Arve Henriksen, Lamine Touré, Bit Marten and Balam, alongside new work from d'Souza himself. Using a range of tools - from commercially available devices to bespoke modular systems - artists translate electrical activity, environmental data and organic processes into musical material.

The processes behind each piece differ - from interpreting plant biodata to translating wind patterns into compositional structures - and the results are as varied as they are compelling. The record spans ambient, jazz, electronica and modern classical, yet all pieces are unified by a shared intent: to reimagine music as a space of collaboration between human and more-than-human worlds.

At the core of Plants Can Dance is a question about how we define music, and how we choose to listen. Traditional musical forms, with their fixed tempos and predictable structures, give way here to something more fluid and less easily controlled. The listener is invited to surrender expectation and engage with sound as an evolving environment rather than a linear narrative. In this context, the compositions function as what d'Souza describes as “acoustic ecologies” - sonic systems shaped by biological, environmental and elemental forces unfolding in real time.

Accompanying the release is a printed zine offering reflections from each artist, and deeper insight into the ideas and debates surrounding this practice. Rather than presenting definitive answers, Plants Can Dance positions itself as an artistic exploration grounded in curiosity, experimentation and critical thought.

Ultimately, Plants Can Dance is less concerned with proving whether plants “make music” than with changing how we listen. By inviting audiences to engage with sound shaped by non-humans, it opens up new ways of perceiving the environments we inhabit - not as passive backdrops, but as active, dynamic participants in a shared ecological network. In doing so, it offers a quietly radical proposition: that by listening differently, we might begin to relate to the natural world differently too.

There’s no messing about for Luke Alessi's Coffee Cola imprint, quickly returning for a sexy second sip via his 'Sex Machine' EP. Remaining faithful to the imprint's modus operandi of mischievous, high-energy tunes to party to, Alessi is showing the label is here for a good time & a long time.

When the first lockdown hit, Ben Westbeech ended up stranded in Walthamstow after months spent drifting through India and Thailand, unable to make it back to Ibiza. Armed with little more than an SM58, a Korg Minilogue and a soundcard, he pieced together a temporary setup in a friend’s flat and got back into the habit of writing music in splendid isolation.
Somewhere in the middle of all that, Deetron sent over a sketch that instantly hit a nerve. Ben wrote and recorded the vocal for Deep In Your Soul in one sitting, then the track quietly sat and evolved over the next couple of years until Sam resurfaced with the finished version. A final vocal session in Ibiza sealed it properly.
What emerged is one of those records that feels lived-in rather than laboured over: warm, soulful and naturally unfolding across different places, phases and points in time. Another chapter in the long-running musical conversation between Deetron and Ben Westbeech.

This is the 12" already immortalized by Gilles Peterson! Dub Souljah, with its classic Roots Reggae/Dub-styled horns and brilliant lead and backing vocals, comes in two versions when Ekowmania meets DJ Sotofett. The first version, in 1970s tradition, is a rocking dancefloor Disco Dub with extended and highlighted percussion parts. Then there's the Ultra Dub – a severely deep and reduced dub where horns and vocals surface only intermittently through constant echoed kicks, minimal hi-hats, and a two-tone bassline. The title track is from Ekowmania's Dr. Afrodub album, produced by Jimi Tenor, but this 12" also includes two non-album cuts: the psychedelic Afro twist of Afrolistic Rock & Roll, and the cosmic Latin-styled Kuusikasi Funk, featuring beautiful saxophone and flute by Jimi Tenor. First song recorded on the riddim, ‘Don’t Tell Me To Smile’ is NIGHTSHADE’s debut single on Fruits Records and it really is music with a powerful message. Turning an everyday frustration into a universal cry, Nightshade sings out loud what she always wanted to answer to the countless strangers who told her – like so many other women – to smile… because “a woman who smiles looks so much prettier”.

She says: “If it’s really such an innocent thing to say as some claim, why do men never say it to other men? Why do some feel entitled to tell complete (women) strangers how they should look, feel or behave? These so-called ‘small comments’, repeated over and over, are just one piece of the constant scrutiny and everyday violence many women face – and we can’t take no more of it.”

Carried by three united voices, ‘Don’t Tell Me To Smile’ reminds us that a woman is not a decorative object meant to please the male gaze. It’s a call to see through the trap: under the guise of compliments, what is at work is control over women’s bodies and minds. A smile should come from the heart, never from an obligation.

Fruits Records is a label run by musicians, that’s why we love instrumentals so much. In 2022, The 18th Parallel did a first collaboration with some of our favorite reggae musicians, Danish band Guiding Star Orchestra. ‘Meeting In A Wonderland’ was such a killer tune that we wanted to push the collaboration further with our Danish friends. ‘Bonanza Charge’ is another instrumental gem created between Geneva and Copenhagen: a powerful riddim section enhanced by the finest three-piece horn section in the business. The EP opens with Late Night Runner. Atmospheric but with a tuff amen, it’s named after Ed, who’s notoriously on time, who was late to the session ;) Open Water was the most recent track we made. We wanted something a little deeper, a long intro, spaced out kind of vibe. The title track Force 32 is a direct nod to Phantom Force, gully horseman energy throughout! Closing things out is One Shot, which has been on dub for over a year - a rowdy jungle rinse out.

To celebrate the Ellis Dee Month we have repressed Ellis Dee Project Part One, a release that is iconic within the rave scene and one we are always being asked for. Originally put out in 1992 as a self-released 12" by Roy himself, we repressed it for him back in 2019 on black vinyl, that pretty much sold out straight away via Kickstarter, which is how we use to press releases back then. There was a very small repress a couple of years ago on a marbled grey vinyl, but again, that sold out straight away. Grab fast as they will sell out!

To celebrate the Ellis Dee Month we have repressed Ellis Dee Project Part Two for the first time since 2019. This time on yellow vinyl. The original 1992 self-released version by Roy was a one sided affair, so back in 2019 he revisited the classic and remixed it, which is what is on the flipside. We also had the A-Side remastered by Dapz and recut by Beau for 2026 - so thats sounding even better than before!

In 1994, Tilla was just 17 years old, and an integral part of the original St Albans collective that comprised Jim Baker & Phil Aslett (Source Direct) and Rupert Parkes (Photek), when he set up the Odysee imprint and released the first Source Direct record (Future London/Shimmer). With a follow-up release from Photek (Phaze 1/Try A Style) and a second from Source Direct, the profile of the label began to grow exponentially.

It was the 3 Mirage releases however that really put the label on the map. These tracks were engineered by Jim Baker but heavily co-produced by Tilla himself with a major focus on his keen ear for dark 70’s Noire samples and eerie abstract electronica pitted against soulful R&B vocals. In hindsight, the impact of this rather different soundscape on the Source Direct material that followed is unmistakable.

In 1994, Tilla was just 17 years old, and an integral part of the original St Albans collective that comprised Jim Baker & Phil Aslett (Source Direct) and Rupert Parkes (Photek), when he set up the Odysee imprint and released the first Source Direct record (Future London/Shimmer). With a follow-up release from Photek (Phaze 1/Try A Style) and a second from Source Direct, the profile of the label began to grow exponentially.

It was the 3 Mirage releases however that really put the label on the map. These tracks were engineered by Jim Baker but heavily co-produced by Tilla himself with a major focus on his keen ear for dark 70’s Noire samples and eerie abstract electronica pitted against soulful R&B vocals. In hindsight, the impact of this rather different soundscape on the Source Direct material that followed is unmistakable.

METLASR is an album for microtonal idiophones and modular synthesizer by composer/producer Tyler Friedman for Radicant_Editions.

Drawing on the legacies of downtown minimalism, METLASR connects avant-garde composition, aspects of global traditional musics and advanced synthesizer technique into an ambitious and singular hybrid. Animated by generative modular sequencing and grounded by undulating bass, the album focuses on an endless cascade of pirouetting geometric melodics, which are spread across a spectrally fused ensemble of crystalline FM and sampled pitched percussion – specifically gamelan orchestra, marimba, mbira, vibraphone and tingklik. The assemblage of voices interlace in fractal mirrors, aggregating into pointillist harmonizations heightened by multiple layers of dub processing. The use of alternative tunings — primarily 24-note per octave just intonation — infuses the poly-modal progressions with lush radiance, staging tension between the strange and the beautiful through neon inflections of subtle dissonance.

Hart's roots in pirate radio reach back to the 90s, forming a bedrock of uncompromising attitude that has permeated his work ever since. Between his work as Basic Rhythm, East Man and Imaginary Forces he's split the difference between incisive UK club sounds and experimental intention, applying artistic thinking to the physical impulses of grime, techno, D&B, drill and more. It's no wonder his work has been held aloft by labels as respected as Planet Mu, Metalheadz, Future Retro and The Trilogy Tapes.

On 8 Bar Grime Hart stretches out with a potent statement on his vision for club music in 2026. The thrust of the title track's opening 4/4 stomp is quickly interrupted by a none-grimier gun lock and load — an unambiguous thesis for the direction the album is heading in. The pressure stays high for the duration, barrelling through the distorted kicks and rabid wobble breakdowns of 'Weed Killer' before bringing the flawless flow of NyNy into the mix for half step sheller 'Vibez'. In between the vocal spots, Hart maintains the flexibility to bend between styles with poise, edging a touch of UK funky's staggered groove to 'Teutonic' and wreaking havoc with a Drexcyian sound palette on 'More Pricks Than Kicks'. 12 tracks deep and without a moment of respite among them, the first Basic Rhythm album in five years finds Hart operating a peak strength, firing off neck-snapping payloads of ferociously infectious club gear for the more advanced kind of dance.

Puccinis Oper „Turandot“ wurde am 25. April 1926 uraufgeführt, und Decca Classics feiert dieses hundertjährige Jubiläum mit der dritten Ausgabe einer Reihe brandneuer, limitierter Deluxe-Editionen der
Pavarotti-Puccini-Wiederveröffentlichungen.
Pavarottis Verbindung zu dieser Oper ist untrennbar. Obwohl er die Rolle des Calaf nur selten auf der
Bühne sang, wurde die Arie „Nessun Dorma“ zu seinem Markenzeichen, als die BBC die Aufnahme von
1972 als Titelmelodie für ihre Berichterstattung über die FIFA-Weltmeisterschaft 1990 in Italien verwendete.
Die meistgestreamte Opernarie aller Zeiten wurde nun anhand der Original-Masterbänder von 1972 neu
gemastert und in audiophilen Formaten wie LP und SACD veröffentlicht:

Die Aufnahmen für das 1963 bei Impulse! Records erschienene Album “Impressions” entstanden im
Zeitraum zwischen 1961 und 1963 bei einem Auftritt im Village Vanguard sowie bei zwei unterschiedlichen
Sessions im Studio von Rudy Van Gelder. Sie zeigen das klassische John Coltrane Quartet, teils verstärkt
durch Gäste, auf dem Höhepunkt seiner Schaffenskraft und dokumentieren die sich rasch entwickelnde
modale Sprache des Ensembles. Obwohl sich das Jazzmagazin DownBeat Coltranes Experimenten damals
nicht immer aufgeschlossen zeigte, erhielt das Album 1963 die Höchstwertung von fünf Sternen. In seiner
Rezension schrieb der Kritiker Harvey Pekar: “Nicht alle Stücke auf diesem Album sind hervorragend (was
eine Fünf-Sterne-Bewertung ja eigentlich bedeutet), aber einige sind mehr als hervorragend.”

Wir präsentieren Rattlesnake Boy", das Debütalbum des in Neuseeland lebenden Künstlers Mainard Larkin. Das Alt.Country-Konzeptalbum "Rattlesnake Boy" entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Produzenten Shannon Fowler (Tom Lark) und handelt lose von einem Pro-Wrestler am Ende seiner Karriere. Das Album wurde jedoch auch von einer zerbrochenen Beziehung inspiriert, sodass die Songs einen tiefen emotionalen Kern haben. Mainard ist seit seiner Kindheit ein Fan des professionellen Wrestlings. Als Teenager besuchte er ein Raw-Event in den USA und meldete sich sogar in einem Fitnessstudio an, um die Grundtechniken zu erlernen. Somewhere between krautrock, noise rock, decaying psychedelia, and pagan proto-punk, Dééfait makes music like one performs a ritual: in trance, on repeat, and without a safety net. From the chaotic arteries of Mexico City to the basement venues of the Paris suburbs, Dééfait sculpts noise rock in apnea. Their self-titled debut EP is a noise rite: a wall of guitars, incantatory percussion, and possessed voices. With Dééfait, sound twists, repeats, stretches, until exhaustion and ecstasy. Formed in 2023, Dééfait brings together the Valero brothers (Lucas on guitar / Pablo, ex-Pays P, on drums), Enir Da (bass - Temir Alcy, Dali Muru & the Polyphonic Swarm), Grégoire Couvert (guitar), and Riki Lara, a Mexican-born vocalist and performer whose lyrics _ chanted, whispered, shouted _ alternate in three languages: English, Spanish, and French. Active on the Paris underground scene since 2024 (La Mécanique Ondulatoire, Le Cirque Électrique, Nouveaux Sauvages_), Dééfait imposes a ritual tension, physical, almost hallucinatory. No choruses to hum along to, no comforting melodies _ just a dense sonic flow that seeps and vibrates. This debut EP, set for release in December 2025 on Ici, d'ailleurs (Zëro, Matt Elliott, Bruit Noir_), lines up six long tracks resembling pagan litanies. Six extended pieces forming a possessed monologue, as if a camera had been slipped inside a burning body. Everything pants. Everything overflows. From We Love Each Other So Much That We Won't Belong To Any Species Anymore, love exceeds expected forms and becomes an organic pact, a ritual of species departure: "Cut me like you want, in bloom your fire," "We scratch consanguinity / We don't belong to any species anymore." It quickly suggests a call to ecstasy, to trance. The EP as a whole navigates unstable zones where desire, sacrifice, and alienation entwine like serpents on acid. Molokh 8 chants an offering to a carnivorous deity, between severed tongue and chemical body. In Bondbondbond, voices entangle, seek each other in a delirious, sensual chiaroscuro where pleasure derails into compulsion. It's a dogma-free ceremony, a game of inverted masks. Alether _ a live-explosive track and perhaps the most powerful of this first project _ shatters frameworks: convulsive dancing, possessed rhythms drowned by waves of guitar. Finally, Ferreri, cook for us closes the EP as a dark farce: a deviant homage to Italian filmmaker Marco Ferreri, the track chews and regurgitates words as if digesting an overfed world. Recorded in the chaos of DIY and mixed as a raw work, the record captures Dééfait's electric discharge in its purest state. The sound is dirty, visceral, possessed. Think Terminal Cheesecake, Boredoms, Nick Cave-era Birthday Party on acid, but also CAN impaled on an autopsy table, or a Giallo under a strobe light_ Yet it emerges as a singular work.

Joe Harriott"s High Spirits (1965), is a post-bop album featuring the British/Jamaican saxophonist"s quintet playing interpretations of tunes from the Noël Coward musical of the same name, this album is characterized by its melodic, swinging, and accessible nature, featuring strong, lyrical work from Harriott and trumpeter Shake Keane, with arrangements by pianist Pat Smythe. Unlike the more "free-form" experiments Harriott was known for at the time, High Spirits sticks to a more traditional hard-swinging, post-bop style, the quintet"s arrangements and, crucially, their improvisational skills, rescue it from being a commercial or bland effort. Und als ganz besonderer Gast tritt Emanuela Hutter von The Hillbilly Moon Explosion wieder im Duett mit Sparky bei ,Cast A Lonesome Shadow" an. The two Portuguese-speaking African islands of Sao Tomé & Principe, located in the Gulf of Guinea, created an unique music called Puxa: a refined mixture of various musical components from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. A blend of Semba, Merengue, Kompas, Soukouss, Coladeira patterns, often pushing forward with a voodoo-like energy, solid bass lines, delicate melodies and backing harmonies of the rich Sao Tomean melodic traditions. Après avoir marqué l’histoire avec le mythique The Age Of Love et son remix acclamé par Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano, Diki Records a signé un retour remarqué l’an dernier avec Mentalis de Kayinda et son puissant remix par Pig&Dan.

Nate Krafft (Nathaniel Killins IV) is a visionary Detroit producer whose 1990s work were released under his own name and aliases such as Super Nova and Naquil and have since become highly collectible. He later re-emerged as Nate Nubia, continuing to experiment techno infused with machine soul and cosmic imagination.

In 1995, he dropped two cult 12"s on his own Infra label: Man ?? Machine and Crimson Arsenal, blending Detroit techno with electro edges and sci-fi atmospheres exploringuncharted territories. These sought-after EPs, which sounded futuristic long before their time, are brought together for the first time as one limited edition red vinyl 2x12".

Marking the anniversary of three decades of career, Dopplereffekt debuts on Tresor Records with Metasymmetry, arriving 12 December 2025. This latest release finds members Rudolf Klorzeiger and To-Nhan in deep inquiry in sound, contemplating structure and pattern in physics and nature resulting in a harmonious audio tessellation.
Metasymmetry itself relates to a kind of second-order reality found not in the structures of life but in the rules that govern these structures; that order exists not only in things but in the relationships among systems of order. It is a structure of structures, a logic of laws, an abstract unity embedded in the act of transformation itself.
Accordingly, the four-track EP reflects this duality. Each side opens with a piece of electronic music at its most precise and immovable: defined, kinetic, architectural. This is followed by a second composition that dissolves into a weightless, atmospheric counter-form.
The shift evokes a higher symmetry: an alignment not of parts, but of principles; a sonic model of the universe’s hidden invariance.
