Callisto is a post-metal band from Turku, Finland formed in 2001. They've headlined several tours in Europe, opened for High On Fire on their UK tour, and showcased in Canada and the United States. Whilst their early works are hardcore and metal, the debut album True Nature Unfolds has a strong sludge metal and doom influence. It was recorded in 2004 by the late Mieszko Talarczyk (Nasum) and introduced to Earache Records a year later through Johannes Persson (Cult Of Luna), earning the band worldwide distribution. True Nature Unfolds was originally released only on CD in 2004 by Fullsteam Records in Finland and Earache Records in the US and UK a year later. The album delivers a breathtaking mix of atmospheric soundscapes, heavy riffs, and haunting melodies. Each track invites you on an emotional journey, blending post-metal intensity with introspective lyricism. Don’t miss this powerful musical experience—let the journey begin! Brazilian artist Acid Asian steps up to Charlotte de Witte's KNTXT imprint with his Deep Soul EP, which explores the many different facets of his sound from rap and trap to techno and psytrance.

Fábio Seiki is São Paulo-based and started this project in 2020 during the pandemic. Since then he has made an impact with his fresh blend of influences and love of his 303. In 2022 he was the first artist to release on Charlotte de Witte's sub label, RPM, with his Break Into Acid EP and followed it up last year with The Night EP.

On Deep Soul EP, he says: "The title track is one of my favourites because it represents me 100%. Focusing on the acid line with this mantra vocal, I wanted to express something more deep to this track. 'Space Colors' is a track with which I wanted to express this new hard techno era using the hardstyle's kick but keeping my style. 'Ain't Nobody Like Us' is my background from rap/trap and 'Humans' is my psytrance background, it's an off-beat track.”

Charlotte de Witte adds: “Acid Asian is back! From his first release with us in 2022, it's been such a pleasure to see him grow and gain respect in the techno scene. We've played many shows together and he's one of the most talented, most instinctive producers out there. Playing Space Colors as the closing track at the main stage of Tomorrowland Brazil where Fábio was dancing in the crowd, was a very wholesome moment. These four tracks are absolute bombs and also show the variety he has to offer as a producer. I'm very excited about this release and I hope you are too!”

Opener 'Deep Soul' is hard and fast with a hypnotic vocal and gurgling acid lines that shoot through the mix to electrifying effect. 'Space Colors' has slamming drums that are lit up with bright, shiny trance chords and underpinned by a rugged bassline that is sure to raise the roof. There is a fantastic rhythm to 'Ain't Nobody Like Us' with its fresh drum patterns and funky edge, narcotic trap vocals and trippy synths. 'Humans' shuts down with ghoulish vocal sounds and squelchy synths all stuffed into a driving, unrelenting hard techno groove.

This is a wonderfully expressive new EP from Acid Asian.

Spiritual jazz fans are going to rather excited about this new one from the hard working people at P-Vine over in Japan: Chicago saxophonist Prince Billy Marge Wright's finest work, 'Summer Love', is now arriving on its own 7" for the first time ever. It is previously lost material that showcases his next level sound though here featuring mainly keyboard instruments as opposed to his more usual saxophone, but that only makes it all the more uplifting. On the flipside is a remix that is just as rare so this one really is an essential record for your collection.

DISCHI presents Pablo Bozzi's new EP, Fantasy. After releasing multiple singles, the Berlin-based producer and DJ is back with three fresh tracks. Saddle up and get ready to ride with Sunday Rodeo, opening the EP with upbeat bouncy bass, hard-hitting 90s synths and a piano-driven melody. On Fantasy, an alluring voice leads, accompanied by potent kicks and zesty lines, sprinkled with a touch of acid. Closing the EP is Siempre, a dreamy, gleaming synthwave journey scattered with distant yet intimate voice samples. Once again, Bozzi demonstrates his undeniable ability to get dancefloors moving.

DimDJ makes a welcome return on Gated for a second EP of acid-inflected hardware tracks, showcasing a range of sounds, from mid-tempo arpeggiated opener Next On Next, followed by the faster Detroit electro-influenced The Path, and low-end bothering Cashe on the A side.

The B leads with the rather lovely 10th Of May, which in our book is basically a summer-soaked Balearic house track, followed by the experimental acid techno of Crash, before Ampi 00 Pattern winds down the EP in pensive ambient style.

Next up on Accidental Jnr are 2 club ready tracks from Sydney producer Cassius Select that straddle genres somewhere between techno, bassline and hardcore. 90 is a gurgling brutal post-dubstep wobble fest at a house tempo whilst HERD offers up Select's trademark idiosyncratic vocal snippets wrapped up in most broken and shuffled of techno rhythm. Cassius Select lives in the undefined sonic boroughs of the hardcore continuum. His first EP explored the grittier end of techno under Australian label Hunter Gatherer followed by a 12" of unstable rhythm workouts under DJ Haus' UTTU label. The Toronto native is hell bent on inciting movement in the most unorthodox ways. Sonics crush genre-defining sounds into a pastiche of cryptic one liners and side eyes. Drums that invoke an impossible sense of swing and momentum. Most importantly Select's sound defines itself on the mission to deconstruct the world around him,to level out the playing field so everyone can have a bite. This year, Select joins with UK imprint Accidental Jr. to release a two-track fury of sound that snarls with every grimace.

Veneer made an indelible mark in its understated, expressive brilliance and cemented José González as a meticulous sonic craftsman and songwriter of singular talent. It’s hard to believe an album recorded with the most basic equipment in a cramped Gothenburg flat could end up going platinum, not only in Sweden but also the UK, selling well over 1 million copies worldwide. Nitechord is an anonymous "ambient-tech duo" that impresses with this fine debut, Lume, which is a meditative exploration of the calmness and mystery of the night as distilled through mid-tempo rhythms and atmospheric whispers. These sounds were first submitted as a raw, uncredited cassette demo in 2002 and have hardly been changed from that state but for the mastering. Tracks like 'Reflect' and 'Near' blend shimmering guitar loops, sub-bass and subtle twangs over dancefloor beats. 'Dim' breathes with layered drones, while 'Absent' offers mournful serenity and last but not least, 'Carry' blossoms into orchestral harmony. A sublime soundscape.
