Following on from the single release of ‘Intentions’, Soul Quest is pleased to present a myriad of remixes alongside a resonating live version of the original cut - and in doing so, serving up a package of lively renditions that add further to the label’s soulful sound.

‘Intentions’ in its original guise was the result of a joint musical adventure from label head Max Sinal, producer and longtime collaborator Kingcrowney, and vocalist Liv East. The track is Soul Quest to its core, with simmering and emotive chords interlaced between a softly spoken yet impactful rhythm section. East provides some inspired vocal work up top, her angelic voice floating through the breeze, shining light on all corners, as the totality of the musical package gives over only the most heartfelt and joyful feels. It seems only fitting that the original track be explored and reconsidered by some of the finest producers currently going, and with this remix album, you see all sides of ‘Intentions’ possible. Up first comes producer extraordinaire Frits Wentink, who takes the atmosphere firmly into the clubbing sphere. Wentink breaks down all the elements with razorsharp precision, drawing focus to the central progression by adding in new, repeating chordal elements that revolve around the kicks. As the track shifts through the gears, lines emerge and grow in stature, with plenty of time for breakdowns to get that full dose of the original’s emotive brilliance.

Dallas based deep house legend, JT Donaldson features next with not one but two remixes, the first of which retains the forward progression of the original but adds in some exciting elements. The addition of the driving bass line gives depth to the undercurrent, with stripped-back sections allowing the flow to meander through some very profound atmospheres. The ‘Dub’ version strips back East’s vocals to draw more focus to the groove and melodic sequences, and as a flip side to the first remix, the duo encapsulates all that could be wished for in a soulful house number.

Flying Moth is up next, with his spin consisting of a more hypnotic approach, with skipping broken drums creating melodic pools and caverns. East’s voice echoes through space and time, enticing further escapism as the track grows and morphs with each passing minute - a beautiful saucerful of sound that is oh so intoxicating.

Finally, to wrap things up, the live version lands to take the energy down to a beautiful canter. The rhythm section takes the form of a full percussive outlay, which speaks gently amidst a sea of exquisite guitar licks, breezy chords, and brass. East is the star of the show here, her voice the anchor within the ever-evolving backing section, which drifts and lulls with a wondrous effortlessness.

Cody Currie & Kapote together in the studio! Delivering a 4 track EP that connect proto-disco, neo soul, Chicago house beats and jazz funk in a very spontaneous, super catchy way.
Cody, the London multi-talent musician and Kapote, the Berlin based creative head of Toy Tonics have a lot in common. Both come from studying jazz, knowing different instruments, having played in bands and at the same time being DJs with a huge passion and the skill to rock thousands of people every weekend at the Toy Tonics Jams with a wild mix of different music. They have what we call THE VIBE. Soulful, catchy, intense. When they play records at a party and when they work on tracks. Both play keyboards, bass, guitar and drums. Both sing. And both have funny nicknames that journalists gave them: Cody Currie was called "the Tom Misch of House music" and Kapote the "Wes Anderson of electronic music". Makes us laugh, but also fits well. And yes: Both are a bit crazy... like every extremely talented musician.

This is the second release that DJ Diplomat made all the way back in the early 90’s. His first release was repressed by Vinyl Fanatiks in 2019. This second repress we are doing for him was originally recorded in 1993 and engineered by Secret Squirrel AKA Hellfish who went on to create the Deathchant label in 1997, a label which Diplomat also recorded for. He was also responsible for the mega mixes on the Street Sounds electro series when it was relaunched in the noughties.

Enthused by the support his first repress received Will Diplomat decided to get back into the studio and start making fresh hardcore that sounded like it was made back in the day for the Vinyl Fanatiks sister label Amen Brother. His first release sold out many moons ago but his collab with former partner in the old 1993 hardcore group NARC (DJ Beagle) under the name Diplomat & Beagle is still in stock via Sequence.

tracks of the moment. Not only: it represents the beginning of the annual series of compilations signed
EGO, as a tradition for ten years. Again this year, at the Miami Winter Music Conference, we have
selected several tracks that will count down with you, accompanying you to the start of one of the most
anticipated EDM events of the year. The MMW brings together thousands of professionals and
enthusiasts who will participate in a series of events in Miami, concluding with the iconic “Ultra Music
Festival”.

Enjoy The Ride Records and Enjoy The Toons Records, with WaterTower Music, present the limited edition vinyl release of A Minecraft Movie (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), featuring original songs and a score by Grammy- and Emmy-winning composer Mark Mothersbaugh. The soundtrack is led by "I Feel Alive," written and produced by Jack Black, Mark Ronson, and Andrew Wyatt, with Black on |ocals and contributions from Danielle Brooks, Dave Grohl, Troy Van Leeuwen, and Roger Manning.

Black also contributes to three additional songs throughout the film. Other featured artists include BENEE performing "Zero to Hero" (written by Bret McKenzie), Dayglow with the indie-pop track "Change Song," and rock band Dirty Honey's "When I'm Gone," which embodies Jason Momoa's character. Mark Mothersbaugh's score blends original compositions with nods to C418's iconic Minecraft game music, balancing quirky character themes with high-energy action sequences. The soundtrack is pressed on 2xLP limited edition colored vinyl across seven variants representing characters and themes from the film, with voxel-inspired center labels, housed in a gatefold jacket with a 12" x 12" double-sided full-color insert.

Misty Lane paves a path to Dark Entries to deliver some quirky Quebecois disco pop. In 1983, producers Michel Bibeau, perhaps best known for his work on Pluton & Humanoids’ “World Invasion,” and Fitz Roy aka Ralph Mashats teamed up with singer Elaine Desjardins, the eponymous Misty Lane.

Mashats reminisces about bringing his Roland TR-808 and TB-303 to Michel’s Studio 21 in St. Eustache, two units he regretted later selling for “a slice of bread.” Michel added hooks with his Roland Jupiter 4 and various studio effects. Their sessions produced “Energy” and “Contrôle,” two cuts of slinky synthpop with French-Canadian flair. “Energy” pops off with proto-house vibes thanks to snappy 808s and Desjardin’s naive-but-enthusiastic vocals, and would fit right into a mid-80s WBMX Radio mix. “Contrôle” is a mid-tempo groover with tropical atmospheres, sitting perfectly next to to Junior Byron’s “Dance to the Music,” which was another Bibeau production.

Energy comes in a sleeve featuring Elaine at The Chivas Club in Montreal. Fans of Italo, Canadian disco, and oddball wave will rejoice in these artfully produced gems.

Whistle Bump is a full on remix produced directly from the actual multitracks resulting in a. stunning extended version that breathes new life into the piece while staying true to the original composition. This carefully crafted remix extends to almost 14 Minutes. The record is housed in a special Japanese thick Cardboard Jacket along with the Promo one sheet mimicking the special Warner Disco 12 inch Promotional Copies from back in the heyday of Disco Promos. Modeight steps into 2025 with a thrilling entry from Vedana, the Leeds-born, New Zealand-based artist making waves in the underground scene. With a career shaped by years behind the decks and a newfound passion for production, Vedana distills his rich clubbing heritage into four cutting-edge tracks on Epiphany EP. The journey begins on A1 with "Epiphany". This groove-heavy minimal house piece is powered by rolling basslines and jagged modular sequences that ignite the dancefloor. Perfectly tuned for pre-parties and equally ready to take over peak-time sets, it's a versatile cut that balances tension and release in all the right places. Next up is A2's "Flawless Victory". As the name suggests, this track hits with triumphant energy. A massive beat locks in with deep, dynamic basslines, building a sense of pressure that commands attention. Add in trippy atmospheres and enveloping textures, and you've got a dancefloor weapon primed to elevate the vibe. Flipping to the B-side, "Onomatopoeia" lives up to its playful title. Short, synthetic stabs cut sharply across the soundstage, synchronized with a hypnotic groove that feels both meticulous and spontaneous. It's a standout piece, rich in personality and brimming with rhythmically charged creativity. Closing the record is B2's "Present in the Culture". An absolute heavyweight of a track, it delivers a mix of atmospheric swells and plucky, tactile sounds that pull listeners deep into a trippy sonic journey. With its driving force and immersive vibe, it's a fitting finale to a stellar EP.

It’s been a mere two months since Gaz released his first EP after coming back from a debilitating addiction to Greggs sausage rolls. Despite this long road of recovery, he has kept himself out of trouble and returned to furnish us with four more slabs of Steak Baked Garage Bakes!
Gary Loves Garage is a track of such pure Garage that if you knew how to take a m7/9 chord and pitch it about a bit you would be in the same ballpark. A lot of the Deep Garage Dads from his area Whatsapp Gary and on occasion, sit outside his house desperate for the library of m7/9 pad samples which Gaz has lovingly built up over many years on multiple Zip Disks. Of course, Gary would never share these m7/9’s as they form the backbone of his productions and if they got into the wrong hands there would be implications.

Gary gets a rare trip to NYC on Gary Visits NYC (BA Premium Economy). As the name suggests, Gaz splashed out on a British Airways Premium Economy ticket from Heathrow Terminal 5C but unfortunately Gaz got hammered in the Wetherspoons and didn’t realise that a 5C departure meant you had to get on the underground rail connection. He missed his flight.

Gary’s SP1200 - still a bone of contention for Gary with the lack of funds in his current life meaning an SP1200 is way out of reach. He has multiple ex-wives and various children which prove a drain on the monthly finances.

Finally -Gary’s Pad Patterns could be a paean to the aforementioned Zip disc, one of Gaz’s favourites! Zip disc 4 of 8. This has his best m7/9 chord samples on it and actually has not left the Zip reader since 1999 - apart from that one time when Gaz had to change the SCSI cable.

Chocolat is the 2000 British-American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Lasse Hallström (The Cider House Rules) starring Juliette Binoche, Judi Dench and Johnny Depp. The film’s enchanting atmosphere is brought to life by the original score from Academy Award-winning composer Rachel Portman. The soundtrack features “Minor Swing” by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, and “Caravan”, the 1936 jazz standard by Duke Ellington and Juan Tizol. The soundtrack was nominated for an Academy Award, next to the four other Oscar nominations.

Chocolat is available as a 25th anniversary edition of 750 numbered copies on mint chocolate marbled vinyl and includes an insert.

Texas-based Ben Hixon and Atlanta's Stefan Ringer collide on this new split EP for the increasingly vital Dolfin label. It is Ringer who starts with a tight, grinding groove on 'Moving Walkway' with spoken word snippets and kaleidoscopic synth sequences bringing a trippy and unusual energy to the menacing bass. His 'PLGLY' (SR Big Room mix) is then a heavy beatdown with synths that snap and crack while jazzy percussion and dark vocals bring extra character. Hixon's 'Feels Extremely Good' is a busy, off-balance mix of deep house drums and mind-melting synth refrains while 'My Family' offer a blissed-out and soul-drenched closer.

Joe Stilgoe and the Entertainers - the new powerhouse jazz supergroup - have put together a record like no other; a pure love letter to jazz clubs around the world, and the people who frequent them. Titans of the UK jazz scene, singer and pianist Joe Stilgoe and clarinettist Giacomo Smith have come together to form The Entertainers, which features members of Kansas Smitty's House Band, Joe's own band, and guest vocalists Emma Smith and Pete Horsfall. 'Can We Entertain You?' is the first single from the forthcoming album 'Welcome to the Club' and this signed vinyl edition is now available.

Since first forming in 2016, London's High Vis have steadily polished their palette of progressive hardcore with shades of post-punk, Brit pop, neo-psychedelia, and even Madchester groove, mapping a middle ground between hooks and fury, melodies and mosh pits. Singer Graham Sayle describes their third album 'Guided Tour' as an axis of competing forces: "It's trying to be a hopeful record, while also being incensed." Rounded out by drummer Edward 'Ski' Harper, guitarists Martin MacNamara and Rob Hammaren, and bassist Jack Muncaster, the band's deep roots in the UK and Irish DIY hardcore scenes have kept them grounded but growing, inspired equally by restlessness and righteous anger. Recorded across a few weeks at Holy Mountain Studios in London with producer Jonah Falco and engineer Stanley Gravett, the results feel dynamic and dialed-in, like anthems burned into sense memory through sweat and repetition. Harper cuts to the chase: "We had a clear idea going in, every moment got used. Maybe when we're 60 we can sit around and get a drum sound right, but for now it's about getting things done."The album's 11 songs span the spectrum of contemporary guitar music, sharpened by experience, camaraderie, and societal frustrations. From swaggering street punk ("Drop Me Out," "Mob DLA") to jangling indie sneer ("Worth The Wait," "Deserve It") to heavy alt ("Feeling Bless," "Fill The Gap") to shoegazey spoken word ("Untethered"), the group's chemistry transmutes any style to their unique intensity. Sayle champions this evolving fusion: "For years coming from hardcore, we had pretty clear boundaries - other scenes were separate worlds. Now things are getting more blended, drawing from different places."Nowhere is this sentiment flexed more boldly than on "Mind's A Lie," a dance- punk anthem inspired by Harper's love of house, garage, and pirate radio. Stabs of sampled female vocals (by celebrated South London singer and DJ Ell Murphy) build into a razor wire rhythm of low-slung bass, tense drums, and sparkling guitar before Sayle's staunch voice starts barking harsh truths ("Face to face with all I've known / I can't call these thoughts my own"). After a sudden breakdown, the track regroups and takes off, cruising into the horizon in a haze of chiming guitars and Murphy's ascendant voice, from the streets to somewhere beyond.

LDF (Lello Di Franco) makes a powerful return to Skylax, this time teaming up with Detroit's own Javonntte. Following his stellar release with Gari Romalis, LDF delivers a release that is pure gold for fans of the original Detroit sound. If you appreciate the styles of Moodymann, Theo Parrish, or Omar S, this record is bound to resonate deeply. The EP opens with "Disco One (All Night Long)," a groove-heavy track that embodies the essence of classic Detroit house. It pulses with soulful basslines and infectious rhythms, setting a hypnotic tone that's perfect for late-night sessions. "Saved" ventures into Chicago acid territory, a tribute to the raw, driving energy of classic acid house. With its punchy 303 basslines and tight, snappy percussion, it channels the best of Chicago's underground with a fresh, modern edge. "After Midnight" offers a smooth, after-hours vibe, balancing deep, jazzy chords with a pulsating rhythm that keeps the energy simmering. "People From Mars" pays homage to Omar S, with its stripped-down, gritty approach. The track has a rough, analog feel, capturing the raw energy and spirit of Detroit's underground. Finally, "The Dirty Digital Show" closes the EP on an intense note, with a driving rhythm and futuristic soundscapes. As an Italian DJ and producer from Naples, LDF brings his decades of experience—starting from his early inspirations in house and techno in 1993—into this record. Also, as co-owner of Frole Records and co-founder of Basic Frame Distribution, his knowledge of the scene is profound, and it's reflected in each meticulously crafted track. This release is a testament to the timelessness and diversity of house music.
