The planets align this October as the mighty Sun Ra Arkestra, under the direction of the maestro Marshall Allen, release their first studio album in over twenty years, 'Swirling'. Recorded at Rittenhouse Soundworks in Philadelphia, the new recording represents the continuation of a heartfelt rebirth of the Arkestra under Allen's guidance since Sun Ra left the planet in 1993, gaining new generations of followers from their regular touring across the globe. With a big band line-up featuring long-standing Arkestra members including Danny Ray Thompson (RIP), Michael Ray, Vincent Chancey, Knoel Scott, Cecil Brooks, Atakatune (RIP), Elson Nascimento and Tyler Mitchell, the album is a full-blooded celebration of Sun Ra's legacy. Tracks include brand new arrangements of Arkestra staples 'Angels And Demons At Play', 'Satellites Are Spinning', 'Door Of The Cosmos' and 'Rocket No. 9' alongside lesser known gems; the rousing blues 'Darkness' is recorded here for the first time, resurrected from the Ra archives by Marshall Allen. Other highlights include an epic version of 'Seductive Fantasy' (first recorded on Ra's 'On Jupiter' LP in 1979), the freeform sonic blast of 'Infinity / I'll Wait For You' and a first ever recording of the Marshall Allen swing composition, 'Swirling'. This track is a minimal style (Deep House) track that has been influenced by the early (Rave) era and early (Chicago + Detroit) House + Techno scenes. The track has a slightly darker edge but still remains jumpy and is definately made for the danecfloor in the early hours of the morning, and has a certain wharehouse 'Feel' to it. The track contains bleeps, stabs, and 808 + 909 compressed drums. The track contains poly rythums and drums which evolve and give alot of movement within the track. This is another "Big Track" from the (Late Nite 'DUB' Addict) that has also recieved support from the (legendary) FANTASY FM.

Marvin Jupiter is an 18 year old artist who mainly makes hip-hop music, using bass lines as rhythms more associated with funk. He uses and creates the sound of the modern day interpretation of trap adding his own personal twist.

'Reach' is a rendition of the typical "house" genre including rhythms sampled from South American cultures, using current sounds from the "trap genre" even having a small section of a "trap/hip-hop" beat towards the end of the song.

Don Dini geht wieder an den Start! Compost's langjähriger House-Spezialist Shahrokh Dini überzeugt mit zwei wahren House Sure Shots, abgerundet mit eleganten Remixes von Karim Sahraoui, LoYoTo (Eva Be und Clé aus Berlin) und einem schön fluffigem Digital Bonus Remix von Flo Førg.

House- und Hoflieferant der DJ-Spitzenriege Shahrokh Dini erfuhr in seiner langen Karriere schon immer breiten Support als DJ und authentischer House-Produzent. Bereits in den 90ern hatte er Releases auf Strictly Rhythm und mit etlichen Releases auf Compost Black Label geriet er seit jeher in die Plattenkoffer von Âme, Ron Trent, Jimpster, Dimitri From Paris, Rainer Trüby, Sasse, Laurent Garnier und vielen mehr.

Übrigens ist Shahrokh nicht nur House Produzent und -DJ. Er betreibt auch Clubs und Venues seit Mitte der 90er, promotet von Zeit zu Zeit große Musik-Events, hat mehrere DJ-Residencies und besitzt auch seinen eigenen Laden - Monk in Karlsruhe.
