Not just a musical project, but an outlet for him to push the envelope of extreme music, challenging the listener to leave behind preconceptions of genre limitations and to approach the music with an open mind. In his exploration of the musical outer limits, he is joined by fellow seasoned pros Steve Tucker (Morbid Angel) on vocals, Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy) on drums and Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Steve Vai, Malmsteen, Kiss) on keys. An allstar line up that grabs the attention of any metal/ progressive music enthusiast. The project began whilst Sonny was on tour with Morbid Angel. Sonny explained the concept of the band to Steve Tucker, who was intrigued and fully committed to getting involved. Sonny wasted no time and began handwriting transcripts for what would become the earliest Arise From Worms material, whilst on tour.

Guest vocalists include Melanie Pain (Nouvelle Vague), who brings a sweet Francoise Hardy and Jane Birkin influence to her songs, and Australian singer Meg Washington. As well as her own successful career, Bamboos fans would know Washington from her vocals from “The Wilhelm Scream” and “King Of The Rodeo”, as well as “Beautiful Trash” from the 2011 Lanu album ‘Her 12 Faces’.

African visions, Middle Eastern mirages, and cosmic pulsations: the map of Giuliano Sorgini’s sonic universe continues to expand, revealing new, uncharted territories.

Set for release on 10 July, the 7-inch Savana Selvaggia brings together two extraordinary, previously unreleased tracks, shedding light on one of the most visionary facets of Sorgini’s library music aesthetic. On Side A, “I misteri del mondo” (The Mysteries of the World) transports us to an imagined, ancestral Africa suspended between endless horizons, elegiac wilderness, and analogue electronics.

On Side B, “Arabian Safari” opens the door to a mystical, Arabic-tinged soundscape where African imagery blends with Middle Eastern influences and kosmische futurism. Omega Sunrise was a US funk and soul outfit made from several members of the Seawind Horns and spent around eight months a year on the road from 1979 to 1986. They recorded a debut album in 1983 that charted well nationally and years on, Feel The Change remains a favourite of deep diggers. It was a 1983 private press release that had it all, from tight, snappy drums with mellow soul vocals and jazzy melodies drenched in spiritual vibes to more slow funk cuts with more defined drums. Brass tones, synth glows and a devotional energy all pervade the 11 cuts and this is its first-ever vinyl reissue, so do not sleep.

Between Tides marks the next chapter for Deep Steppe—a various artists cut balancing forward motion with the deeper foundation the label’s built on. The A-side leans into a newer lane. Mungo Sound Machine opens with a direct, no-frills party starter. Ballan follows, bringing an overseas touch that stretches the palette—loose, rolling, and just off-center in the right way. Some words from Nat about the music – “For this recording I composed some songs using more “exotic” (for want of a better word) modes,
which I have always meant to explore in more depth but never really got around to very much. The first song for instance, Red, Gold & Green, uses an Ethiopian scale.
The title comes from the colours of the Ethiopian flag, which is also symbolic in Rastafari so has a kind of double meaning, like a lot of my songs.The title track, Path of Enlightenment, uses several modes,
starting in a major key then moving to the Phrygian mode, then to a minor key. The piano solo is in a 28 bar minor blues form. Menat is based on a mode of the Byzantine scale,
I’m not sure if it has a particular name or not. Amenhotep was the name of several Egyptian pharaohs,
Amenhotep IV being the original given name of Akhenaten.When I was writing this song it put me in mind of my song, Akhenaten, simply because they are both in 5/4 time,
so I decided to give this one a pharaonic name too. Spheshile is a Zulu word (and sometimes name) that means “beautiful gift”, the title was suggested by a friend from South Africa.
All this means nothing of course if the music doesn’t tell a story, I think the unfamiliar modes allowed us to speak of interesting things that may not have come to us otherwise.
Finally, I chose to use the quartet format for this recording because it occurred to me that it tends to make for a more cohesive group sound, and it had been a while since we recorded this way.”

In March 2026, Morrissey released his 14th studio album, Make-up Is A Lie. One of the highlights from that album, which was recorded with producer Joe Chiccarelli, is the richly melodic 'Notre-Dame'. On this deluxe 12" we get said single plus an unreleased orchestrated version of it, with luxurious strings recorded - appropriately enough - in Paris. To top it off, there's 'Hello Hell' and 'Happy New Tears', bonus tracks from the new album that are available on vinyl for the first time. It's encouraging to see Morrissey hitting this kind of form and keeping the heat on his latest album.

Black Meteoric Star is a project Rayna started in 2006 when she was living in Berlin that brought together her life long love of dance music culture with spiritual themes, drag, and her formative experiences of S/M culture Black Meteoric Star has always had an avenger quality in Rayna's life and creative work, and this iteration plays that role in response to the current political landscape. Wet celebrates the long standing shared history of electronic music and queer leather/SM culture and imagines a future where these two cultural expressions are re-connected.

Electronic music and leather/SM are both ways that queer people have historically built community, created and shared knowledge, and kept each other safe. The current administration demonizes and villainizes queer people on the basis of a false moral framework of respectability, and its a trick. No amount of acting "respectable" will humanize queer people in the eyes of this administration and get us the rights we deserve. Revitalizing the connection between electronic music and queer leather/SM is a way to affirm the cultural power of both during a time when it has never been clearer that we keep each other safe. Rayna, a transgender woman with a deep commitment to all of these cultural forms, has a strong message to deliver with this album. She has been a DJ and producer of electronic music for over thirty years and has been producing community cultural events for as long. She has also been involved in kink and bdsm for decades and is a well-known and respected DJ in the New York leatherdyke scene. Rayna made international headlines in 2017 when she came out as transgender while touring with LCD Soundsystem. In 2018 she left the Grammy winning band to pursue projects that were more connected with her queer experience, including founding Voluminous Arts a cultural organization that supports trans artists. Black Meteoric Star is a continuation of a thread in Rayna's work that runs through her Paper Eyes project and her role in Black Leotard Front. This thread has a comic book or x rated graphic novel component based around her experiences of being a sad lonely lesbian trans girl who got bullied a lot and found escape and the possibility of being avenged through X men comics and Dungeons and Dragons books.

InnerFaces is also an introspective project. A look back toward childhood, spontaneity, and lightness. This sense of nostalgia has always run through his music, like an invitation to reconnect with who we truly are, deep down.

We chose to preserve the original demos to ensure that Kartell’s artistic vision remained untouched. With the exception of Katu’s contribution to their collaborative track Augustine’s Rave, it was important to keep the raw energy that shaped these compositions.



With his family’s blessing, we decided to make this project public so that Kartell’s music can continue to live on. InnerFaces remains true to his vision: free, vibrant, driven by groove and luminous melodies.

Man könnte sich solche Fragen stellen, wenn man die mehr als zehnjährige Reise von Angel Dust betrachtet aber das neue Album der Band, COLD 2 THE TOUCH, legt nahe, dass es vielleicht doch nicht so kompliziert ist. Oder wie Sänger/Mastermind Justice Tripp es ausdrückt: Angel Du$t ist Rock 'n' Roll." COLD 2 THE TOUCH fängt diese einfache Tatsache besser ein als je zuvor. Die 26 Minuten eklektischer und knallharter Musik machen deutlich, dass Angel Du$t sich nicht in die Grenzen enger Subgenres pressen lässt und dass ein so elementarer Begriff wie Rock n' Roll tatsächlich wie angegossen passt. Dies ist das seit langem offenste und wildeste Album der Band eine Mischung aus harten Riffs und großen Hooks, die durch Tripps offenherzigen Existentialismus ergänzt werden. Eine ganze Reihe von Mitwirkenden macht COLD 2 THE TOUCH zu einem fesselnden Hörerlebnis, das den Zuhörer immer wieder überrascht: Gitarrist Jim Caroll macht sich besonders in Zero" bemerkbar, einem echten Angel Du$t-Epos, das über drei Minuten lang spiralförmige Riffs bietet und Gesang von Wes Eisold von American Nightmare und Cold Cave enthält; Downfall" hat das Knurren von Patrick Cozens von Restraining Order; Man On Fire" greift auf die britische Punklegende Frank Carter zurück und The Beat" enthält kehlige Gastbeiträge von Taylor Young von Twitching Tongues, Deadbody und anderen. Die letzten beiden Songs des Albums, The Knife" und The Beat", fassen genau zusammen, was Angel Du$t zu einer so besonderen Band macht. Es ist ein kreatives Unterfangen, bei dem offenherzige Gedanken über die Endlichkeit des Lebens mit der ungezügelten Spannung gewalttätiger Riffs koexistieren können, bei dem echte Menschlichkeit gedeihen kann und es vor allem darauf ankommt, sich selbst und seinem eigenen Spektrum an Gedanken, Interessen und Gefühlen treu zu bleiben. wählt beliebte Lieder und Melodien aus aller Welt aus und interpretiert sie auf raffnierte Weise neu. Diese
neuen Arrangements sind eine Hommage an die Länder, die er im Laufe seines Lebens auf Reisen und bei
Auftritten lieben gelernt hat – musikalische Souvenirs, die er seinem Publikum mitbringt.
Die asiatische Musik ist vertreten durch „Spring Breeze Prelude“ des taiwanesischen Komponisten Deng
Yu-Hsien sowie durch eine zarte Klavierversion von „Aka Tombo“, einem in Japan sehr beliebten Kinderlied,
das sogar im landesweiten „5-Uhr-Glockenspiel“ zu hören ist. Folklore und populäre Traditionen kommen in
„Cielito lindo” und „Nature boy” zum Ausdruck, während sich die letzte Gruppe von Stücken mit Werken
von MacDowell, Schumann und Sinding der Natur zuwendet. Neben diesen musikalischen Reisetagebüchern
streut Stephen Hough funkelnde neue Transkriptionen von Liedern aus beliebten Filmen ein.
„Piano Postcards“ spiegelt vor allem die Tradition der Pianisten-Komponisten wider: Musiker, die ihr
eigenes Repertoire mit Freiheit und Individualität aufführten, arrangierten und kuratierten. Hough fasst
den Geist des Albums so zusammen: „Der musikalische Appetizer kann tiefgründige Poesie oder Witz und
Laune enthalten, ob subtil oder laut. Alles auf einer handlichen Speisekarte.“

Congolese musician and composer Fabe Beaurel Bambi presents SALA SALA, the debut album from Elikia, a five-piece Congolese Afro-jazz group from Paris, and the first release on Berlin-based Little Tone Records. Recorded live over three days in Paris, the album blends Congolese and pygmy musical traditions with rumba, jazz and spiritual grooves, creating a contemporary, funk-laced and highly danceable sound with plenty of variety across the record. Sung in Lingala, Lari and Kikongo, SALA SALA connects ancestral memory and modern Afro-jazz while carrying a message of hope, responsibility and transformation. Ingrid Schmoliner moves between the genres of new music, improvised music, free jazz, and folk music. Danish quintet David Miilmann Group return with You Belong, their third album and a vibrant, uplifting statement built around guitarist David Miilmann"s distinctive slide guitar voice. Rooted in soul and blues but shaped within a genre-defying jazz context, the band brings a life-affirming energy to music that moves between groove, melody, and open improvisation with ease. Set for release on April Records on June 12th, 2026, You Belong centres on Miilmann"s approach to the guitar, drawing on the phrasing of singers like Curtis Mayfield, Freddie King and Aretha Franklin. His slide playing - developed as a way of emulating the human voice - sits at the core of the group"s sound, cutting through a warm, rhythmically grounded backdrop that blends jazz, rock, and Brazilian influences. At its core, the album captures a working band in motion. The five musicians move fluidly between composed material and looser, more exploratory sections, guided by close listening and a shared sense of direction. That chemistry comes into focus on "It"s Happening Again," a groove-led track steeped in a warm, 1970s-inspired production style. Built on a relaxed but propulsive feel, it captures the simple joy of time spent with close friends - familiar, unforced, and full of possibility. "The Day After" offers a more spacious counterpoint. Written as a reflection on those rare, quiet mornings following a meaningful moment - a concert, a celebration - it unfolds with a sense of ease and openness, led by Miilmann"s melodic slide guitar and supported by a restrained, attentive rhythm section. The band"s take on "My Favorite Things" reshapes the well-known material through their own ensemble sound, acknowledging the influence of John Coltrane while carving out a more textural, guitar-led approach. The album"s title, You Belong, points to the group"s broader outlook: an inclusive, community-driven approach to making music. That idea runs through both the compositions and the band"s dynamic - less about spotlighting individuals, more about building a collective sound. Since their debut Waiting for Myself (2021), David Miilmann Group have carved out a space with their emotionally direct, genre-fluid approach - earning two DMA Blues nominations, reaching the finals of the Jazz Competition, and receiving regular airplay on P8 Jazz.
