NEHRUVIANDOOM is Bishop Nehru's debut album. Produced by Metal Fingers and featuring MF DOOM vocals on several tracks, it's a compact nine track, 30 minute long player.

Bishop Nehru's breakthrough mixtapes, released from the age of 15 saw him rhyming over DOOM produced instrumentals. DOOM joined the line of MCs who co-signed the young rapper including heavyweight lyricists Kendrick Lamar and Nas, who introduced him on stage during his set at SXSW as 'The future of music'.

Still only 17, Bishop has wrapped up his debut album for Lex, a collaborative project with MF DOOM.

After months of careful excavation and meticulous restoration, dj echotree finds his way to ZitStill with a singular artefact. Delving into lost remnants of the spirit world, a gapless collage of found footage, spoken word and otherworldly jazz slowly emerged. A mute yet eloquent testimony, held together by instinct and the steady pulse of the MPC.

Much remains to be uncovered about this entity and its teachings, rooted in beliefs that left no written trace. What is known is its devotion to the human touch, unafraid of imperfection. A form of worship rich in texture, best experienced on hazy afternoons and mist-laden mornings.

This has been a very personal project and a mammoth undertaking for us folks here PACE HQ: 12 tracks unearthed from the cult Scottish figure’s completely overlooked back catalogue. Collected archive material from the past 25 years, originally composed as an OST for the feature length film The Flesher (1992) which was also written, shot and directed by Rae. No copies remain. Deep cuts that span G-funk, hip-hop, house, synth-pop, electro, dub, downtempo, funk/soul, R’n’B with appearances from Rae’s heavyweight list of frequent collaborators… Bernie Worrell, Adrian Sherwood and Jimmy Douglass.

"In 1991, the Scottish Rugby Union & the Royal Bank of Scotland, commissioned me tae make the world's first Scotland World Cup music video... they didn’t pay me so I fought back. It took 18 years tae win, and I nearly lost everything. I turned to audio visual art: under the pseudonym Jock Pleasure - I wrote and directed a feature length film called The Flesher as well as creating 100s of full length DVDs and tracks” (Jesse Rae).

One man took on the banks and won, but it took its toll and in this totemic corpus of work Jesse Rae counts the cost. The Flesher is art as pure defiance: “this stuff is very dark and deep, it is such a vast body o’ work, but when I won my battle against the bank, I secretly returned tae Hodge Close (in the Scottish borders) and dropped the entire work sealed in stone intae the deep deep murky depths of that water, where it has remained since 2009. There are no mair copies."

What we have here then is the salvaged remains. A hopeful dunt of Scottish erotica that gets you right in the pits.

Splice DJ Screw with Dean Blunt, Moodymann, Prince, Cocteau Twins, MF DOOM, Luther Van fuckin’ Dross, Barry fuckin’ White; run that through the B-movie videotape static meets Harmony Korine, Les Blank & early Grand Theft Auto. Empty boulevards. Small-town strip joints. Late-night dial-up. Sacrifice and solace. Outside of the OST, there’s a cast of forgotten characters: primary school kids making house jams, teenage popstars from the Scottish Borders, and the rhapsodic Ayrshire soprano NIKA laying down haunting vocals in Miami.

Celebrated as a cult figure in the USA, Jesse’s work has never fully had the appreciation it deserves at home. Not really. Aye, we know Inside Out and The Thistle. But he’s too easily fobbed off as an eccentric outsider: a helmet-wearing, claymore-wielding gimmick. But do we really know the extent of what this man has done - and gone through - for the sake of art?

A1. Joshua Pendergrass – The Leopard (Frederick Ansgar Remix) opens the record with an ambient-infused deep house piece—warm, slow-moving, and deeply involving. It invites the listener into a calm, curious, and emotionally attentive state.
A2. Dubsud – Memories (BarBQ Remix) follows with a more upbeat, melodic character. Playful yet refined, it offers a bright continuation of the journey, carrying momentum without losing its emotional depth.
On the flip, B1. Heward, Kirill Matveev – Your Gentle Breath emerges like a breeze—floaty, nuanced, and ideal for that golden-hour moment. It’s an elegant piece full of space, subtlety, and feeling.
B2. Nj Helder – Gazi closes the release with dubby warmth and light breakbeat elements, a soothing yet rhythmically engaging finale—like the last light fading over a distant horizon.

Featuring label mastermind Kirill Matveev, MixCult regulars Heward, Joshua Pendergrass, BarBQ, and Dubsud, the record is further elevated by South African talent Nj Helder, whose presence brings a soulful character to its closing chapter.

Fresh from dropping a fine collection of reworks by Scruscru, Blur Records welcome back regular contributor Hotmood. He brings with him a belated sequel to his 2023 EP Disco Power. The Mexican begins in fine form via the tease-and-release, disco-funk powered disco-house slammer 'Give It To Me', before opting for a more elastic and rubbery groove on the similarly-minded peak-time bounce of 'Let Me Dance'. Hotmood decides to breathe new life into a string-laden, cowbell-sporting 1970s disco workout on 'That's What You Had', once more exploring effects-laden disco-house dynamics, while closing cut 'Summer Nights' sees him making merry with loops and samples from an old Earth, Wind and Fire favourite and some suitably powerful beats.

The Synewave label has legendary status amongst those who know and now boss man Damon Wild is back on it with a quartet of deep techno treasures. 'Avoidant' is a roaming, cavernous sound with gentle synth notes rising and falling over hefty kicks. 'Invincible' is more sci-fi in style with icy modulations and roaming pads over slinky, kinetic drum patterns and 'Organica' is a jumbled mix of feather hi-hats and more bleeping pulses with kicks pulled far apart. After the Detroit stylings of 'Coronas,' Sonic Mind records boss Donnel Knox aka D-Knox remixes it into something more direct and rhythmically rugged.

Der junge Brooklynite ist schon längst mehr als nur ein Geheimtipp. Die ersten audiovisuellen Kostproben gab es in den vergangenen Monaten in Form von "Big Dusty" und "Christ Conscious". Am 20. Januar erscheint nun sein Debütalbum, das den Titel "B4.DA.A$$" trägt.

"Wired" ist ein harter Neustart für Basement. Es markiert das erste Album der britischen Band seit acht Jahren, eine Wiedervereinigung mit ihrem ursprünglichen Label Run For Cover Records und eine Rückkehr zu jener ungebändigten Leidenschaft und kreativen Intuition, die schon immer ihr bestes Material ausgezeichnet hat. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2009 besteht Basement aus denselben fünf Freunden - Sänger Andrew Fisher, den Gitarristen Alex Henery und Ronan Crix, Bassist Duncan Stewart und Schlagzeuger James Fisher - und derselben alchemischen Verbundenheit. Das Einzige, was sich in den letzten Jahren verändert hat, ist ihr erneuertes Gefühl von Zielstrebigkeit. Und das macht ihr neues Album deutlich hörbar. Nichts auf Wired klingt stagnierend, kein Teil wirkt unausgereift. Die Band ließ sich von einer Vielzahl abenteuerlustiger Vorbilder inspirieren (R.E.M., Interpol, Smashing Pumpkins, um nur einige zu nennen), ohne jemals wie eine dieser Bands zu klingen - und auch nicht wie eine Kopie ihrer selbst. Der Albumtitel fasst all das in einem einzigen Wort zusammen. Die texturalen Konnotationen von "Wired" - metallisch, scharf, zackig - spiegeln die stählernen Klangwelten des Albums wider. Auf konzeptioneller Ebene spricht der Titel für die unerschütterliche Zähigkeit der Band: eine analoge Band, die in einer immer digitaleren Welt erfolgreich bleibt, ohne sich auf nostalgische Bequemlichkeit zu verlassen. Steal Vybe are back on the cultured Seasons Limited label, this time with Stephanie Cooke adding some fantastic vocals. 'Change' first came back in 2017 in limited quantities on white label only, and now it gets a full release with some new remixes, original remixes and a fresh version from Steal Vybe. That one is balmy, soul-drenched and sun-kissed with a loved-up feel that swells the heart. The Dino & Terry mixes focus on pairing things back a little and going deeper, while French house legend Franck Roger ups the ante with some heftier drum weight.

Grammy award-winning titan of dance music Purple Disco Machine joins the illustrious list of Defected House Masters with a celebratory compilation. The German producer, DJ and global household name Tino Pointek, AKA Purple Disco Machine, is the blueprint for what makes a successful dance music artist in the modern age; respected on the underground scene while achieving major crossover success with remixes for the likes of Sir Elton John, Dua Lipa and Mark Ronson. Bassline brings together Russell Ruckman and Marcia Carr for a 12", which was originally part of a 2025 digital album, but now drops on wax and has been remastered for extra punch. Side A opens with the vinyl debut of Rani G & Raul Riena's 'Feels So Right' (World-Life-music Raw Teaser remix), which will soon transfix the floor while the driving groove of Hot Issue's 'Motion 96' is a cool vibe with wet clasp and dusty drums brought to life by cute little melodies and plenty of snap. Side B leans into deeper territory with Mercedes' Living For The Moment (Booker T remix)' and the uplifting dub energy of Never Gonna Give Up. If you like soulful house with a classic New York edge, this one bangs.

Your favourite edits (probably) crew, Local Sugar Diggers, aka the trio of sonic sculptors that are Scruscru, Tony Lavrutz and Los Protos all come together here on a new 7" offshoot label from the Soul Service. The a-side cut 'Rave w Polsce' is a full-fat funker with deep cut grooves that roll on rubbery bass and soar with rasping wind leads. Plenty is going on wherever you listen and it all serves to get you moving. 'Otra Ritmo' is an immediate portal to a communal get down somewhere sun-baked and lush with green in South America. The horns, the freewheeling percussion and the loosely assembled rhythm are all irresistible invitations to cut loose.

The Spoiled is an Italian post-punk project led by Giovanni Santolla, blending electronic beats, distorted synths, and reverb-soaked guitars into a dark, romantic, and nostalgic sound.

In 2024, the project self-released the debut EP Time distributed by Manic Depression, followed in 2025 by the full-length Living Ghosts via Swiss Dark Nights—an album that firmly established The Spoiled within the contemporary post-punk scene. Following the album’s release, Giovanni collaborated with international acts including This Eternal Decay, Darkways, Corlyx, Chaos International, and Hinfort, while maintaining a dense touring schedule across Europe and sharing the stage with artists such as Traitrs, Hinfort, Darkways, and Ductape.

The new album When It Rains, set for release on Avant! Records on April 17, 2026, expands The Spoiled’s artistic vision with a focus on intense, romantic soundscapes that delve deeply into human intimacy and interpersonal relationships. Embracing a warmer and more personal sonic direction, the record blends elements of indie rock and electrogaze music that enrich and revitalize the dark, melancholic palette that has defined the project’s earlier works.

Still playing homage to the forefathers of the genre such as Clan of Xymox, The Sound and Pink Turns Blue, When It Rains opens the path of The Spoiled to new soundscapes, exploring broader emotional territories while preserving the atmospheric depth and introspective tone that have become its signature.

Originally released in 1985, Main Attraction by Toronto-based duo Yoh-Yo is one of those high-energy sleepers that quietly tore through clubs while never fully crossing into the mainstream canon. Produced by maestro Allan Coelho (Tapps, Click) and driven by the instantly recognizable vocal of Carlos Borges, it’s a pure shot of mid-80s Hi-NRG euphoria. Tight, glossy, and unapologetically emotional.

Fast forward to now, and Vintage Pleasure Boutique digs deep into the archives of Boulevard Records to deliver the ultimate collector’s package, bringing together all six officially released versions from the original 1985–86 pressings across Europe, Canada and Mexico. But this isn’t just a reissue, it’s a full-spectrum reconstruction of a club weapon.

From the Original Version, still hitting with that raw, uplifting drive, to the Sandy St. Alban Version, adding a slightly different vocal flavor for the heads who know, each cut reveals another angle of this underground anthem. The Instrumental and Hi-NRG Dub Version strip things down into pure mixing tools: extended grooves, pulsating basslines and synth hooks that lock dancers into a trance. The Remix pushes things further into peak-time territory, while the real gem for DJs lands on the B-side: the long-sought Hot Tracks Extended Edit by Gregg Denewith — originally exclusive to the US market and finally resurfacing in proper, playable quality. A true secret weapon for selectors who like their sets with a touch of authentic 80s heat.

This release is a love letter to Hi-NRG, to analog excess, and to the global club network that kept these records alive long before algorithms caught up.
