Es gibt eine unbestreitbare Verbindung zwischen dem Süden und Ereignissen außerirdischen Ursprungs. Vom eklektischen Jazz-Guru Sun Ra bis zum deutschen Raketenwissenschaftler Wernher von Braun - Alabama hatte schon immer mehr als nur einen reißenden Anteil an Verbindungen zum Weltraum und zu Dingen außerirdischen Ursprungs. So war es auch bei ,Man or Astro-Man?", die vor einigen Jahren in einer kleinen Universitätsstadt in Alabama ankamen bzw. dort eine Bruchlandung hinlegten. Als sie ihre Plattensammlungen wiederentdeckten, die lange Zeit auf vergessenen Dachböden verstaut oder hinter Regalen mit alten Zeitschriftenausgaben in zahlreichen heruntergekommenen Secondhand-Läden in Alabama versteckt waren, verliebten sich die Mitglieder von ,Man or Astro-Man?" in die verkratzten Klänge von Link Wray, The Ventures, Dick Dale, The Shadows und Duane Eddy - also in Instrumental-Gitarren- und Surf-Musik der späten Fünfziger und frühen Sechziger. Gleichzeitig hatten bizarre Bühnenbilder und Auftritte von Kraftwerk, Sun Ra, Devo, Frank Zappa, The Sputniks und natürlich den Residents großen Einfluss auf die sich rasch entwickelnde Truppe. Dennoch war es das erzwungene Leben in einer hoffnungslos konservativen Kleinstadtumgebung, das Man or Astro-Man? dazu brachte, das Offensichtliche hinter sich zu lassen und sich viel stärker von dem beeinflussen zu lassen, was sie hassten, als von dem, was ihnen eigentlich gefiel. Im Grunde könnte man sagen, dass Man or Astro-Man? weitaus stärker von College-Football und muskelbepackten Verbindungs-Spinnern beeinflusst waren als von Science-Fiction. Die Band trieb es, besonders bei Live-Auftritten, auf die Spitze, so lächerlich wie möglich zu sein, und verspottete dabei ernsthafte ,alternative" Acts und mit ihnen die Musikindustrie selbst. ,Experiment Zero" (1996) war ihr Debütalbum bei Touch and Go. Es wurde in drei Tagen im eigenen Studio von Man or Astro-Man?, dem ,Zero Return" in Alabama, zusammen mit Steve Albini aufgenommen und gilt als eines der großartigen modernen, vom Surf-Stil beeinflussten Gitarren-Instrumentalalben. Da Man or Astro-Man? ,Experiment Zero" als ihr Meisterwerk der langen Entwicklung der Surf-Musik etablieren wollten, begannen sie, sich schneller als je zuvor weiterzuentwickeln. Sie veränderten ihren Sound weiter und erweiterten den Einsatz von Samples, Computerprogrammierung, Keyboards, elektronischen Spielereien sowie experimentellem analogem Schneiden und Einfügen von Tonband. Obwohl das Album von der Kritik weithin gelobt wurde, mussten sich langjährige Fans erst einmal daran gewöhnen. Wo die meisten Bands müde geworden wären oder einfach immer wieder dasselbe Album im Kreis gedreht hätten, erfanden sich Man or Astro-man? und ihre Live-Auftritte immer wieder neu.

Die Compilation vereint ikonische Tracks aus Tarantinos gesamtem filmischen Werk: von Pulp Fiction über Kill Bill bis Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Mit dabei sind musikalische Größen wie Dick Dale, Johnny Cash, Joe Tex, The Coasters, The 5.6.7.8"s, Dee Clark, Keith Mansfield und viele mehr. Baby You’re A Winner’ is a perfect illustration of the elevated musicality of the album that bears its name. Linking up across the record’s twelve tracks with producer Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Perfume Genius, Yard Act), Baby You’re A Winner showcases a real levelling up for Grandmas House: more layered and involved than their trio of previous EPs - Grandmas House (2021), Who Am I (2023), Anything For You (2025) - with a greater focus on the use of vocals and harmonies to embolden the meticulously crafted arrangements.

It’s the sound of the quartet - Yasmin Berndt (guitar, vocals), Poppy Dodgson (vocal, drums), Zoë Zinsmeister (bass, vocals) and Polly Jessett (guitar) - bringing a greater sense of nuance and space to their music, while deploying myriad genres to maximum effect. Michaela Turcerová’s compositions unfold in slow motion. The saxophonist and composer’s glacial music zeroes in on the granularities of each note as it rings, soaking in every subtle shift in texture and pitch.

Šumum exemplifies this patient approach to writing music, branching out from themes of loss and togetherness into an intricate tapestry of introspective sound. These four pieces invite deep collaboration between performers, who together shape the music through the shared process of listening and interpreting Turcerová’s relatively open scores. And while these works often grow from long, stretched-out tones, they also foreground forward direction: no note stays in one place, no melody is without action. Instead, Šumum chronicles how the tiniest shifts can lead to major transformation.

Šumum builds from Turcerová’s longheld interests in place and minimalism. Many of the composer’s works explore perception: how a room can shape the music we hear, and how repetition alters a melody. Like the music of Éliane Radigue, Šumum embraces the rainbow of colors that appear when close listening with the wave-like flow of looped melodic and rhythmic patterns. All the album’s pieces observe the subtle changes that happen as music grows.

Group communication yields the constant evolution that defines Šumum. The album feels like a conversation, with each instrumentalist swapping phrases or trading places when the moment feels right. “Straty” builds from a series of strongly accented drones that appear as quickly as they fade away; underneath them is a perpetual rhythm that drives the color of each long held note, from melancholy into radiance and back again. With “Vlny,” pitch eventually disappears, leaving a delicate rhythm, and with “Masy,” a matrix of brassy tones link together and eventually burst. No matter where the music goes, one thing remains true: Šumum invites close listening, and in the process, reveals the beauty of continual motion.

DYING VICTIMS PRODUCTIONS is proud to present the highly anticipated debut album of Poland’s TORPOR, Ɖungeon Ɖescent, on CD and vinyl LP formats. TORPOR were formed in Warsaw by three school friends and music fans under the huge influence of Bathory. While recording their first release, Burning Realms / Behold the Spell of Black Fortress, in dusk of 2017, the band were laying their music foundations inspired by the epic side of black and the haunted / melancholic side of early ‘80s heavy metal. Since their last release – 2021’s The Ancient Tales EP, which was actually recorded in 2019 – TORPOR parted ways with their drummer, who alongside Mike Magister I.V. and Franciszek Archont, was a founding member of the trio. Upon the arrival of a new drummer and long-time friend, Bloodhammer, they recorded their debut album. It marks the result of their work and path undertaken. "We knew it was our direction to follow and polish, so now, after some time, we can happily present our debut album, Ɖungeon Ɖescent,” the band state. “It is our first real record that pictures our vision exactly how we liked to. After years of wandering around basement rehearsal rooms and two self-released demos, we are finally coming out of our lairs with this LP under the banners of DYING VICTIMS." Their past connections with fellow labelmates ARMAGH and FUKKIN’ VENGEANCE somewhat explains TORPOR’s link to the idiosyncratic side of ancient heavy metal, which has taken far more prominence on Ɖungeon Ɖescent over the first-wave black metal side – but that’s only part of the picture. Some might call it “cleaning up,” others might liken it to a harnessing of feral energies, but TORPOR’s emphatic-yet-stoic strut conveys equal amounts of energy and mystery, finesse and fine-tuning. Of course, the power-trio can kick into high gear when they want to, be it heroic gallop or even hypnotic blast, but their sense of movement from one moody segment to the next imparts a narrative flow that’s part and parcel of their lyrical imagery. DYING VICTIMS PRODUCTIONS is proud to present JORDSJØ’s highly anticipated new album, Pestkrønikene, on CD and vinyl LP formats. JORDSJØ released their first tape in 2015. With the fourth tape, 2017’s Jord, the band got a wider audience outside their native Norway and subsequently released full-lengths on such labels as Karisma, Pancromatic, and Apollon. The band works as a duo in the studio, but for the last eight years, they have played live as a quintet. JORDSJØ are led by multi-instrumentalist Håkon Oftung, who has been a part of Oslo’s psychedelic, progressive, and heavy rock undergrounds for many years, and has played in Black Magic, Tusmørke, The Chronicles of Father Robin, Wobbler, Zenon, and labelmates FLIGHT to mention but a few. He’s joined by longtime companion and childhood friend Kristian Frøland, who plays drums and percussion, and also produced and mixed Pestkrønikene. Pestkrønikene is a part of JORDSJØ’s 10-year anniversary, and their ninth release overall. The record started out as a compilation of studio outtakes from 2020-2025, but then took on a form of its own, with the songs linked together thematically. Lyrically, those themes reflect war, upheaval, the fall of kings and the rise of a new dawn, and cults and sects. Sonically, Pestkrønikene encapsulates the JORDSJØ experience as well as extends beyond it. Mythical and magickal, the album honors the band’s background in hard rock and heavy metal, and combines this with their own analog and organic blend of progressive / psychedelic folk rock.

D91LINKSERIES_01 inaugurates a new split record series by Distrito 91 focused on connecting artists, sonic identities and parallel visions through the classic 12” format.

For its first transmission, the series brings together two projects emerging from different areas of Spain’s underground electronic landscape: Geistform and Half Mute.

On Side A, Geistform, also known for his electro alias Univac, delivers three tracks driven by raw machine energy, analogue sequences and industrial pressure. His sound draws from rhythmic noise and minimal electronics, evoking the mechanical intensity of the European industrial tradition.

Side B features Half Mute, an alias of Madrid based artist Groof, one of the long standing figures connected to the Spanish underground techno scene. His tracks move through dark electro structures, hypnotic sequencing and minimalist techno, balancing tension and functionality within a distinctly nocturnal atmosphere.

Nach der Veröffentlichung von „idea 1“, kündigt Kelela ihr neues, drittes Album an, das am 10. Juli bei Warp Records erscheint – und veröffentlicht die zweite Single „linknb“, produziert von Oscar Scheller.

Der Track entstand in einer Phase der Schreibblockade und begann als Mantra, das Kelela schrieb, um sich wieder an die Arbeit zu bringen. Angeführt von einem labyrinthischen Gitarrenriff über treibenden Metal-Drums ist „linknb“ ein Song über Selbstvertrauen, das man sich durch Schwierigkeiten erarbeitet hat, darüber, sich nicht klein machen zu lassen. „Es ist nicht schwer, mutig zu sein / Es ist leichter, zu viel preiszugeben / Ich weiß nur, dass ich den Weg geebnet habe, unterbezahlt.“

Das von Mischa Notcutt inszenierte Video versetzt Kelela in die Mitte einer urbanen Traumlandschaft. Als enger Freund und Kelelas ehemaliger Kreativdirektor war Notcutt die naheliegende Wahl. Das Video lässt Realismus und Abstraktion ineinanderfließen und verwandelt eine einsame Reise in eine Meditation über Selbstfindung und Erneuerung.

Mit „new avatar“ rückt alles, worauf Kelela hingearbeitet hat, in den Fokus. Sie begann ihre ersten Songs in der Indie-Szene von Washington, D.C. zu schreiben, bevor die Clubmusik und die elektronische Produktion, die ihre frühe Karriere prägten, die Oberhand gewannen. Mit „new avatar“ schließt sie den Kreis: R&B, unterlegt mit verzerrten Gitarrenklängen, trifft auf neue Schnittstellen in der Tanzmusik und gipfelt in einem Sound, der aus all den musikalischen Einflüssen schöpft, die sie je geprägt haben. About Kelela: Throughout her globally revered, boundary-pushing career, Kelela has established a lane of her own in R&B and electronic music. On her long-awaited third album, new avatar, the singer/songwriter (through the versatility of the guitar) challenges perceptions of these genres, while weaving together fragments of lived experiences to shape a world of connection and resilience during times of unrest.

The songs journey through Black femme rage, joy as resistance, Gotham City-esque dystopia, misogynoir, romantic tension, and more. It’s anchored by production that demands a broader rethink about alternative, rock and indie music.

Kelela’s defiant nature has propelled her so far already — from her hometown of Washington, D.C to world stages. In 2013, she released her debut mixtape, Cut 4 Me. She continued solidifying her revolutionary R&B sound with 2015’s Hallucinogen EP, with The New York Times naming its single, “Rewind,” one of the “25 Songs That Tell Us Where Music Is Going”. By 2017, she released her electric debut album Take Me Apart (which was followed by 2018’s TAKE ME A_PART, THE REMIXES), building upon her intimate storytelling.

After a nearly five-year hiatus, she returned in 2023 with her groundbreaking second album, Raven, and its critically-acclaimed counterpart, RAVE:N, The Remixes in 2024. Raven has been hailed as one of the ‘Best Albums of 2023’ by Pitchfork, Billboard, Vulture, Variety, and more, while the remixes solidified her as a leader in the dance music space.

In 2025, Kelela showcased yet another innovative side of her artistry with her live album In The Blue Light, which hit #5 on the Contemporary Jazz chart and #20 on the Jazz Albums chart. Now, with new avatar, Kelela displays the masterful intention she puts into forming new sonic cityscapes. WRWTFWW Records continues its collaboration with Belgian jazzman Casimir Liberski with another Zelda-themed rendition, following his celebrated Z Suites album. This time it's a full-on live session - Casimir Libersk ReTRio's Zelda Suites (The Live Album) is a heroic Hyrule jazz adventure available in half speed mastered DLP in a heavyweight sleeve with obi.

Casimir Liberski reimagines the golden era of video game soundtracks with live jazz versions of Zelda favorites The Legend of Zelda (1986), A Link to the Past (1991), Link's Awakening (1993), and Oscarina of Time (1998) - and tons of Easter eggs! Dancing between nostalgia and avant-garde, the Brussels-born pianist and composer crafts a sonic world of pixelated folklore where melody and improvisation coexist in harmony.

Zelda Suites (The Live Album) is the origin story of Liberski's acclaimed Z Suites album. He explains:

The live recording of Zelda Suites (The Live Album) preceded the studio recording that later comprised ReTRio's first album, released on WRWTFWW entitled The Z Suites. This live recording was captured at the end of a tour in Germany and Belgium, in Osnabrück, in a small, intimate venue. This new album therefore contains only "hot first takes," imbued with all the emotion that permeated our playing that evening. In a way, it's perhaps more closely linked to my initial vision for the project: to "take the iconic themes from the Legend of Zelda games that shaped my childhood and perform them live through a jazz lens". For me, the conditions of live performance are the very essence of jazz. There's a frankness of being present, in the very moment the music is created and, one might say, listens to itself, that draws the musicians into a fervor and audacity that often transcends them. The magic of jazz comes at this price. Unapologetic, as they say in English. This album reveals a perhaps more authentic and unrestrained side of our playing. No excuses.

With releases on Rebellion, Neptune Discs, Sol Selectas, Akumandra and Buddha Bar, alongside an extensive international DJ presence, his output reflects a balance of cultural depth and dancefloor functionality.

His productions draw on a wide palette of influences, fusing African and Latin rhythmic structures with rolling, dub-informed low-end. Intricate drum programming and fluid groove design sit at the core, while his basslines—heavy, warm and propulsive—remain a defining signature. Federsen, known for releases on Echospace Detroit, Grayscale, Synchrophone, Lempuyang and Avant Roots, continues to refine a sound rooted in analogue process, spatial detail and textural precision. His work leans into restraint, allowing depth and subtle modulation to drive momentum.

Recorded at Devon Analogue Studios, the pair’s collaboration unfolds across four tracks built on dense sub frequencies, shifting percussion and evolving atmospheres. Each piece is carefully structured yet organic, moving between stripped-back dub frameworks and more rhythmically charged passages.

The result is a cohesive body of work that sits comfortably within the dub house tradition while introducing a broader, multicultural rhythmic language—equally suited to immersive listening and deep dancefloor moments.

Bristol-born, London-based DJ, producer, trailblazer and label head, Conducta announces his brand new EP, SOUNDBOY JOHNNY slated to drop on the 29th May via Up Ya Archives Records.

Since their inception at start of the 2000s, Stand High Patrol have rocked sound systems to their own riddim, assimilating and re-purposing the codes of the genre in their own unique style. From tiny bars in Brittany to huge festival stages, on independent radio or across national airwaves, the crew have quietly trod their own path, never compromising their core value of independence. Connoisseurs have long recognised Stand High’s credentials both as a dub group and a leading sound system, but they stand out from the crowd because of their ability to deliver the unexpected, whether live or on record. Their ability to draw such a diverse audience is testament to this atypical approach to making music.

In 2020, almost 20 years since their humble beginnings, the collective presents their fifth album, “Our Own Way”. As with their first two albums “Midnight Walkers” and “Matter Of Scale”, now considered as classics in their genre, this new opus asserts itself as the latest representation of the crew’s versatile approach to crafting sound. Their music, a blend of its own known as “Dubadub”, has always borrowed influences from multiple sources, and over the course of their career their roots in dub and reggae have intertwined with hip-hop, jazz, new wave, trip-hop and numerous other genres. The ‘Dubadub Musketeers’ have never ceased experimenting, forever seeking to increase the sonic territory they cover, day after day. Both live and recorded, they’ve made it a point of honour to never offer up the same thing twice. Any resemblance that “Our Own Way” might bear to those first two albums is a consequence of this obvious creative continuity, rather than of going “back to basics”.

In contrast to the last two Stand High Patrol records, the hip-hop inspired “The Shift”, or the Bristol indebted “Summer On Mars”, “Our Own Way” doesn’t have a unifying concept or theme. Rather than being limited to a single aesthetic, the LP pays respect to the entire canon of Jamaican music, all unified under Stand High’s inimitable production values. With the wealth of experience gained during the recording of their last two records, the collective decided to aim for a freer project, letting themselves be guided by their own music and their own instincts. The end result is a musical portrait of what Stand High Patrol is in the present moment.

The tracks that make up the new LP burst out of the studio, each born out of unbridled, impulsive creativity. Previously unheard compositions and specially re-tooled dub plates have been assembled into a tracklist that shifts and moves like a classic Dubadub Musketeer live set. Each step of the process has been refined by years of practice : composition, effects, and the final mix. Throughout “On Our Way”, the brutal dub stepper, though still a favourite for sound system sessions, is noticeable by its absence. Instead, it’s the full weight of the crew’s reggae heritage that’s expressed in the mix. It's not just the depth and weight of each tune that strikes the listener, but also the spaces heard between the notes that grab and hold their attention.. The sense of a trip, whether musical, internal or geographic, is omnipresent throughout the LP, linking each track to those before and after. “Our Own Way” finds Stand High Patrol exploring as usual, yet also narrating their journey as they’ve rarely done before.

Born Hovhannes Sargsyan, D.zúk (”dzook” = fish) is a Yerevan-based producer influenced by the delicate qualities of nature, juxtaposed against the concrete imprint of human existence. His debut, Ishkhan (“eesh-khan” = prince; also refers to an endemic trout found in Lake Sevan) is a pensive journey through ethereal, underwater landscapes. He calls his music “fishwave”; a swinging mélange of dub, house, bass and ambient sounds. “Ishkhan to me is at its strongest when it gets deepest into its reveries and abstractions... Forever Records presents an extensive reissue edition of the first 'fully released' Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia album. Originally released in 1992, this is the first time the full, previously CD-only, version of Ov Biospheres and Sacred Grooves will be pressed on vinyl. The original LP and CD artwork from the various editions released in the early 90s has been combined and designed by the band, and the audio has been remastered with their full approval. As well as a new LP edition of the album, there will also be a uniquely numbered, limited edition available housed in a gatefold sleeve that comes with a bonus 10" featuring two previously unreleased tracks.

An improvisational musician, composer and poet, Titi Robin has travelled extensively since the early 1980s – from Brittany to Catalonia, India to Morocco – crafting his own musical aesthetic. Throughout his journey, he has built bridges between his native Anjou, where he still resides, and the Gypsy cultures of many lands. Neither a compilation nor a mere summary, this selection offers a certain perspective on his body of work, which has earned him praises by luminaries like Peter Gabriel or Brian Eno.

Despite his many travels, it would be a mistake to view Titi Robin as an explorer of the "elsewhere". While he plays the guitar, the bouzouq, or the oud, he does not seek to imitate a Gypsy, Syrian, or Greek style; rather, he plays in a voice that is uniquely his own—a syncretism of his personal journey, from his teenage years playing at Moroccan community celebrations to his collaborations with Gypsy musicians from Southeast France and India. In Angers, in the Roseraie neighbourhood, he was immersed in the rhythms of Moroccan chaabi from an early age. Later, he frequented the gypsy neighbourhood of Saint-Jacques in Perpignan. These encounters nourished an aesthetic territory he likes to call ‘Titistan’, which includes Perpignan and Rajasthan. He views Mediterranean culture as "a bridge, a crossroads, a network of long-standing links woven between North and South, East and West." In this selection, you will hear the palmas marking the compas of the Catalan rumba; strings enveloping the melody of the bouzouq, answered at times by the clarinet or the kaval flute popular in the Balkans and Anatolia.

Produced between 1993 and 2011 these songs have been fully remastered and are presented here for the first time on vinyl, with extensive liner notes.

The debut album from brothers Aksel (sax) and Lyder Røed's (trumpet, flugelhorn) quartet! Already a well established band on the Norwegian jazz scene, featuring Swedish drummer Cornelia Nilsson (Aaron Parks) and double bass player Ola Høyer (Cortex). A modern and innovative jazz quartet with clear links to the golden age of the 60s, nodding to artists such as Ornette Coleman, Tom Harrell and Mark Turner.

Systematic Gent EP brings together four distinctive cuts from artists who each embody a different shade of the label’s sound. For this special various-artists release, Ghent-based Maxim Lany delivers the deep, driving, atmospheric and immersive “Noise”; Dimitri Andreas adds rhythmic drive and tribal energy with “Jungle Circus”; Robert Babicz contributes the hypnotic, progressive and emotive “Soul Traveler”; and Drumcomplex & Frank Sonic round out the EP with the powerful, forward-moving techno gem “Solar.”
Released on 12” vinyl, Systematic Gent EP arrives in perfect sync with the label’s showcase at Wintercircus in Gent on May 8, 2026, creating a direct link between the music on wax and the energy of the dancefloor. With a tracklist that balances atmosphere, groove and peak-time impact, the EP captures the essence of Systematic’s sonic identity while celebrating a special night in one of Belgium’s most exciting cultural spaces.

Peach’s Soak Vol. 1 is a cross-Canadian link-up with Mood Hut that moves through slower, deeper waters.

The mini-LP was written after a tour through Asia that opened up something new in how Peach approaches making music. The turning point, as she tells it, came during a visit to a neighbourhood sento in Tokyo, while surrounded by steam rising in suspended time, something clicked about the relationship between the body and the sounds she wanted to make.

She’d been learning about cycle synching and working out with the phases of her hormonal cycle, respecting energy fluctuations throughout the course of a month, and decided to apply the approach to writing music. She allowed shifts in energy to guide tempo, density, and emotional tone rather than strictly answering to the floor.

Soak came out of this exploration, sketched and layered with field recordings from her trips to Vietnam and the Philippines during a challenging time in her life. Fragments of heat, air, and shoreline are absorbed into the music itself. Vapourous pads, low-end weight, fractured percussion, and melodies hover at the edge of dissolution. Water runs structurally through the record in surges, in tidal pacing, in the slow accumulation of texture.

"For The Portcullis, I took a deep dive into the history of my family’s patrilineal side. Starting with my grandfather, an ironworker who built the Hartford Cathedral, to my great great great Grandmother, who was a galley cook on a Welsh sailing ship, to the enlightenment era celebrity portrait painter, Joshua Reynolds, and finally to twelfth century know Richard Reynell (before the Reynolds spelling was standardized). Reynell was the Sheriff of Devon and the custodian of Lauceston Castle. While King Richard I was away on the crusades, Reynell made his name defending the castle from the usurper Prince John. I started making sketches of the scenes and stories I imagined. The Portcullis follows Reynell from castle to castle, sequentially as they were built after the Norman invasion. On Reynell’s chest and shield is the symbol and crest of the Reynolds family: The Portcullis."

Known for his wide-ranging versatility, from film and television scores to classical ballet, Graham has scored over seventy films and TV episodes to date. His ongoing collaboration with Richard Linklater the most notable.

The EP starts with It’s Only Shadows Talking. A play on the Paralysis persona, the spectral dub house groove meets industrial overtures, encasing his own eerie and unsettling vocals to begin the narrative.

Don’t Forget The Ritual takes a direct link from British folk traditions. Sacred and ceremonial; the laid-back breakbeat, samples and delays are the transition to the evocative embrace of melancholia.

Come On Fleet, the hypnotic Latin (vocal) sample creates a lurking murmuration, rimshot percussion meets gothic sound design for the EPs’ most straight forward and direct club cut.

Keine Ahnung wieviel ungezählte Stunden die Jungs von FLEISCHWOLF seit ihrer Gründung vor 10 Jahren auf der Autobahn verbracht haben, aber bei über 300 Club- und Festivalshows kommt da ganz schön was zusammen. Genug jedenfalls für die "Letzte Platte vor der Autobahn", ihre brandneues, 4. Album zum Bandjubliäum. "Blinker links" und ab auf die Überholspur: Genug neues Material haben die Punk-Thrash-Hardcore-Rotz(Rock)-Löffel jedenfalls gut verstaut im Kofferraum und auf ihre neue Scheibe gepackt. Da ächzen die Stoßdämpfer und freut sich die Schallplatten-Nadel, wenn mit "Jetzt geht es los" die wilde Fahrt beginnt. Dabei lassen die Mettcore-Spezialisten sich erneut nicht ausbremsen: Mit ihrer charmant-prolligen Art verheizen Sie alles was ihnen so unter den Asphalt brennt mit rebellischer "I don't give a fuck" -Attitüde und jeder Menge Spass in wohlklingenden Krach ohne Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung. Fleischwolf kann weder ein "Punkrock-Polizist" stoppen und na klar - "Aufgeben ist keine Option"! Ein ganz besonderer Song zu dem die Band Vinnie van der Schnuut ("Fresse"/ "BPM") und Mr. Wheelchair ins Studio eingeladen hat, der seit seinem Unfall 2010 mit gebrochenem Genick nur noch den Kopf bewegen kann. Begleitet von Gitarrengewitter trifft hier Punkrock auf Metalcore, Gefühl auf Härte - Eine bewegende Kampfansage an das Leben! Das die Band jede Menge "Asi-Elixir" getankt hat, war schon mit der "Kleiner Vorgeschmack" Doppel-10nch Vinyl glasklar. Dritte Wahl ist eine deutschsprachige Punkrock-Band aus Rostock, die sich gegen Ende der 1980er-Jahre gründete. Die Band spielt Deutschpunk mit deutlichen Metal-Einflüssen und singt sehr direkte, politisch-kämpferische, linke Texte, für die es zu DDR-Zeiten die damals üblichen staatlichen Repressalien gab. 1996 veröffentlichte Dritte Wahl mit "Nimm drei" ihr drittes Album. Es wurde in Braunschweig im Whiteline Studio von Uwe Golz (auch Gitarrist bei Daily Terror) und Uwe Rust produziert. "Nimm drei" bedeutete für die Rostocker einen deutlichen Schritt Richtung mehr Professionalität. Das druckvolle Album hebt sich soundmäßig markant von den beiden früheren Werken "Fasching in Bonn" (1992) und "Auge um Auge" (1994) ab. Es wird durch sehr groovige und gitarrenbetonte Songs charakterisiert. Dazu gibt es einen steten Wechselgesang der beiden Frontmänner Marko "Busch"n" Busch (Gesang, Bass) und Gunnar Schroeder (Gesang, Gitarre). Komplettiert wird das Trio durch Krel (Drums), der die Songs mit seinen mitreißenden Beats stetig voran treibt. Auch heute stehen einige Tracks dieses Albums auf jeder Setliste der tourfreudigen Band.

Title track ‘Amor’ (feat. CERES) delivers a galloping beat starred with spacey FX, as a hoover siren builds tension and CERES begins her rhyming chant. A sprinkle of acid becomes a sulphuric tidal wave. Next, ‘Sem Ar’ (feat. CERES): ‘Airless’; frantic rattling percussion overlays the fast beat to breakbeat-adjacent. CERES’ resonant voice is showcased in an acapella breakdown before her soulful voice becomes an acid robot’s, sharp and penetrating. Finally, ‘O Movimento’ (feat. CERES); ‘Movement/motion’, speeding beat with hi-hat backbeat duels with CERES’ voice, now sounding almost breathless, before acid filters in as the track builds.
