Les Dunes is an alternative band from Haugesund, Norway. Consisting of members from bands like The Low Frequency in Stereo, Undergrünnen, Lumen Drones, Helldorado and Action & Tension & Space. The band consists of Per Andreas Haftorsen on guitar, Morten Jackman on drums and Per Steinar Lie on bass. The result reminds of the fantastic slow-core era bands of the 90ies, like Codeine who create their own version of Explosions In The Sky songs or like Per Steinar Lie claims "it feels like the vibe of the early days of The Low Frequency in Stereo". The music is rooted in a thought of a long freeway drive at night where time stops and the mind flows.

DESTRUCTION UNIT sind eine amerikanische Band, die in der Wüste Arizonas zusammenkam. Gegründet von Ryan Rousseau waren D. UNIT ursprünglich ein synthielastiges Trio, dessen andere Mitglieder Jay Reatard und Alicja Trout (LOST SOUNDS) waren - ebenso war Rousseau ein Mitglieder der REATARDS, bevor Jay auf Solopfaden wanderte. Geboren im Dunstkreis der Memphis Goner Records Szene und verpflanzt nach Tempe, Arizona, hat Rousseau des Band zu einem kompletten Soundangriff geformt, für den drei Gitarristen (er selbst, Nick Nappa und Jesco Aurelius), sein Bruder Rusty am Bass und ein 19-jähriger, klassisch ausgebildeter Schlagzeuger, Andrew Flores, verantwortlich sind. "Seminal Live" wurde ursprünglich 1989 veröffentlicht und ist ein ziemlich einzigartiges Album im reichhaltigen Katalog von The Fall. Es war gleichzeitig die letzte Veröffentlichung der Band bei Beggars Banquet und das letzte Album, auf dem Gitarristin Brix Smith zu hören ist. Die Neuauflage von "Seminal Live" erscheint auf gelbem Vinyl. Aufwändig remastered wurde "Seminal Live" von Kevin Vanbergen. Zudem enthält der Re-Release ein neu gestaltetes Artwork, sowie ausführliche Sleeve Notes und einen QR-Code, der auf geheimnisvollen digitalen Wegen zu exklusivem Bonusmaterial führt. Die Studioaufnahmen auf Seminal Live sind allesamt neue Songs und bilden die erste Seite des Albums. In the spring of 2020, Ben Cook _ a.k.a. Young Governor, Young Guv, or just Guv _ was holed up in the New Mexico high desert, his U.S. tour having been abruptly covid-cancelled during a southwest swing. He and his bandmates were living moment to moment in something called an Earthship, a solar-rigged adobe structure sustainably constructed with, among other things, recycled bottles and tires. And out there in the serene vastness, as a short ride-it-out stint turned into a nine-month sojourn, Ben was writing music, slowly, little by little, mostly at night while the others slept. By the New Year, almost in spite of himself, he had created a new album, two new albums actually, and through the ordeal he was forever changed. In a place he never expected to be, under circumstances no one could have predicted, and in the face of physical isolation, emotional desolation, and existential dread, Ben created GUV III & IV, a collection of songs dedicated and testifying to the eternal healing power of love _ how to find it in the world, in others, and most importantly, in himself.

It replaced the wave of cloyingly romantic song writing as fresh talents leant into richer and more complex styles: folk-rock, psychedelia, soul, hard blues, symphonic pop, Latin rock etc. Singer-songwriters, experimental electric guitars and jam sessions all appeared on the scene, creating music that became increasingly refined and free. The industry took a while to catch on to this new trend and leave behind the teen idols and dream lifestyles. By the late 60s, there was a long list of new bands in the capital city. Young people finally found their voice. Let's set off together to discover the magic of Caracas in the late '60s!

Blah Blah Blah is the 1996 debut album by Brooklyn-based hip hop duo Blahzay Blahzay, composed of DJ P.F. Cuttin' and rapper Outloud. Their big breakthrough was the single "Danger", which was issued as the lead single of their 1996 album Blah Blah Blah. The single contains many samples, including Beastie Boys and Q-Tip "Get It Together", Gwen McCrae "Rockin' Chair", and Jeru The Damaja "Come Clean". It reached #4 on the Billboard Hip Hop Chart and #46 on the Billboard Hot 100. The tracks "Pain I Feel", "Good Cop/Bad Cop" and "Danger, Pt. 2" also gained traction. The album featured guest performances by Dark Man, Smoothe Da Hustler and Trigga Tha Gambla.

In South London members Alan Lancaster (bass) and Francis Rossi (guitar) were the original members and founders of Status Quo. _x000d__x000a_Formerly known as The Spectres and later renamed to Traffic or Traffic Jam they settled for Status Quo as their band name in 1967. _x000d__x000a_The following years they were joined by John Coghlan (drums), Roy Lynes (keyboard) and Rick Parfitt (guitar)._x000d__x000a_Status Quo’s first hit record "Pictures of Matchstick Men" was released in 1968 .The single reached #7 in the UK, and remains the band's only major hit single in the US, where it reached #12. Their debut Picturesque Matchstickable Messages from the Status Quo soon followed. It features several covers, including "Green Tambourine" by The Lemon Pipers and "Spicks and Specks” by The Bee Gees. _x000d__x000a_Another highlight from the album is their second single, "Ice in the Sun." Big Thief will release their sixth studio album, Double Infinity, on 5 September 2025.

Double Infinity is the follow-up to 2022’s Grammy-nominated album, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You, recorded last winter at the Power Station, New York City. For three solid weeks, the trio would ride bicycles on frozen streets between Brooklyn and Manhattan, meeting in Power’s Station’s warm wood-panelled room. Together with a community of musicians (Alena Spanger, Caleb Michel, Hannah Cohen, Jon Nellen, Joshua Crumbly, June McDoom, Laraaji, Mikel Patrick Avery, Mikey Buishas) they would play for nine hours a day, tracking together – simultaneously – improvising arrangements and making collective discoveries. Double Infinity was produced, engineered and mixed by longtime Big Thief collaborator Dom Monks.

“How can beauty that is living be anything but true?” Adrianne asks as she drives nose against the future with childhood mementos on ‘Incomprehensible’. She understands, “everything I see from now on will be something new.” The silver hairs on her shoulders are new as well. Yet fear of aging is cracked by proof. If a life is shaped by living, “Let gravity be my sculptor, let the wind do my hair.” Being born, then staying a while, remains the greatest mystery. Love & Rage, the brilliant 2024 debut album from London Queercore trio Shooting Daggers turned many heads with its jaw dropping depth and melody as well as blinding energy, feminist fury and angst. It has to be said that the band are not just bashing it out here. The playing is knockout and the vocals in particular are a standout. Singer Sal proving that she can do hard and fast and cool and melodic with equal aplomb. Nicolás Ibarburu is a prominent figure in Uruguayan music. Renowned for his exceptional guitar skills since his teenage years, he has also established himself as a talented songwriter. In La Ruta de la Seda, he showcases a unique blend of personal songwriting, Latin fusion rhythms, pop sensibility, and deep-rooted Uruguayan musical influences. From his teenage years, Nicolás Ibarburu has become a prominent figure in Uruguayan music. Renowned for his exceptional guitar skills, he quickly gained recognition, performing alongside his brothers, Martín and Andrés, in various projects. Ibarburu's mastery of the guitar has led to collaborations with legendary figures from both Argentina and Uruguay, including the iconic Luis Alberto Spinetta, Jaime Roos, Fito Páez, and Rubén Rada. As his career evolved, Ibarburu expanded his influence beyond performance, establishing himself as a talented songwriter with a captivating solo career. Los Angeles trio Faetooth sophomore album Labyrinthine is a deeply felt exploration of emotional weight: grief, memory, uncertainty, and the quiet work of growing around your own wounds. Following the band's 2022 debut Remnants of the Vessel, which introduced the band’s signature blend of heaviness and mysticism, Labyrinthine pushes further inward. True to its name, the album winds through a maze of feeling and form, where meaning is never handed over easily. It’s rooted in self-discovery through disorientation, the idea that understanding comes not from escape, but from getting lost. Ari May (guitars and vocals), Jenna Garcia (bass and vocals), and Rah Kanan (drums) manage to stay grounded in the immediate in parallel with fantasy themes of the band's namesake. Posters announce a daily action: A professional marksman shoots daily at 12 o’clock from a distance of approximately 15 meters at a paper flower. The number of shots is limited to a maximum of three per day. Upon a hit, the flower is replaced by a new one, the action ends and is continued the next day with a new flower. The bullet holes in the wall are not removed. The flowers remain lying on the floor until the end of the exhibition or event and are then given away.
Posters are produced in color variants (yellow, orange, red, violet, light blue, green) to advertise the action:
Every day at noon a professional marksman will shot at a paper flower (place of action to be filled in).
This performance was first presented at The Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh in November and December 1999 and subsequently repeated (Aberystwyth, London, Nottingham, 2000 – 2002 and Langenhagen, 2007).
The action will be re-staged as part of the Klang Moor Schopfe Festival in Gais, September 4 –14, 2025.

In truth, singing is not all that different from acting. Performing a song is very similar to playing a role in a theatrical production. A singer's delivery — the way they interpret and emphasize certain parts of a song — is much like what an actor does with their character.

That's why we often find singers who go on to gain popularity as performers — some on stage, but more often on the silver screen (film).

These are called 'singing stars' — vocalists who are also featured actors, usually given roles specially created to suit their primary strength: singing.

Among them, a few have become even more famous for their acting talents, which sometimes surpass their singing ability. However, the number who manage to do this successfully is very small. Oslan Husein is lucky enough to be counted among that small number. As his fame as a singer began to rise sharply, he also began his film career as an actor. It's true that he had previously appeared in a film, but only as an extra, alongside the orchestra he performed with.

Following that, he appeared in several other films, including Detik-detik Berbahaya, 1000 Langkah, Kasih Tak Sampai, Hadiah 2.000.000,-, Maut Menjelang Magrib, and Antara Timur dan Barat. Six films over a span of just about 2.5 years — quite an impressive achievement.

Over time, a number of songs that Oslan had performed in his films began to accumulate. Together with a few additional songs — also from films — there were eventually enough to compile into one long-playing (LP) record.

And so, accompanied by Jack Lemmers — who, for this project, created special arrangements and musical treatments unlike the usual (for example, the use of four guitars at once) — Oslan carried out the recordings at Irama studios.

By releasing this LP of songs from the silver screen, Irama took an exciting step forward and opened many new possibilities in its history. Because the world of recorded music and the world of film, wherever they are in the world, are like siblings — and they work best when they collaborate, shoulder to shoulder, in harmony.

Russell Haswell and Florian Hecker have both a long history with Mego/Editions Mego. Individual releases have peppered the Mego catalogue since Haswell’s Live Salvage 1997->2000 cd release (MEGO 012) in 2001 and the debut Hecker release IT ISO161975 (MEGO 014) in 1998.

The individual exploration of sonic phenomena by these two practitioners has resulted in both being highly regarded for their uncompromising approach to sound as matter. Russell Haswell and Florian Hecker came together as a collaborative duo with the now-legendary record Blackest Ever Black, somewhat inexplicably, on the classical imprint of Warner Brothers.

In 2025, Hecker and Haswell return with a new album featuring the two-channel edit produced initially for their UPIC DIFFUSION SESSION #23, performed as a live diffusion across 8-channels at the X100 Festival, Berlin, 2023, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Xenakis' birth.

This record furthers the duo's exploration of Xenakis's UPIC system as the sole instrument. The UPIC is a computer music system that generates sound from visual input. The original intention of the system developed by Xenakis was to make a utopian tool for producing new sounds accessible to all, independent of formal training. One can locate footage of Xenakis and a group of children making drawings for the system in the 70's.

The duo set off experimenting with a diverse array of hand-drawn images to feed the UPIC system including news photographs of disasters and atrocities, "food porn" through to depictions of the natural world and microscopic images of molecular structures (including 'the blackest ever black'). The resulting eccentric audio from these images is claimed by the artists to heighten synaesthesia and is as mysterious as it is baffling.

Throughout UPIC DIFFUSION SESSION #23 frequency clusters move and morph in the most unusual manner, shifting and stretching into shapes that hint at some kind of magical process. What starts out deceptively simple soon unravels into a large array of sonic mayhem. Symbolic jet planes are shredded by a swarm of insects, a metal bowl howls into the void, a tiny tin toy crawls into a thicket with the resolute aura of a black hole. A burning geyser of laser forms liquid shrapnel. This is sound as an alchemical process, a constant chimerical flow into the netherworld and is the net result of the decades long radical investigations by the two artists involved. UPIC DIFFUSION SESSION #23 is a direct, rich and rewarding listen for those willing to invest time into the outer limits.

Editions Mego presents Bosko, landing exactly 30 years after the initial General Magic flights into the fantastic; the legendary first Mego release, a collaboration with Pita whereby all sounds were harnessed from the buzzing, drinking, humming sounds of fridges MEGO 001 General Magic & Pita and a 12” with Elin called Die Mondlandung (The Moon Landing) MEGO 002 which embarked on a minimal techno template so austere and strange it was one of the historic progenitors of austere and wonky rhythms alongside Sakho and other European explorers.

The initial return of the playful and mystical Austrian outfit General Magic came with the 20th year anniversary vinyl reissue of their classic debut Frantz eMEGO 010. A record so audacious and playful it still baffles as much as it entertains. At some point whilst working on this reissue GM’s Ramon Bauer and Andi Pieper were spurred on to rummage around with ideas and tools once more and after more than two decades of inactivity sonic sorcery was conjured once again. Live shows in honour of Peter Rehberg were performed in Vienna and London. Softbop, a limited risograph collaboration with Tina Frank came with the first new recordings as a digital download came out discreetly online. The first full length album following Rechenkönig in 2000 MEGO 032 “Nein Aber Ja” released in 2023 on Finlay Shakespeare’s GOTO Records on CD and cassette. An ongoing series of mix tapes online further highlights their interests encapsulating a new found angle on electronic mayhem. All of these elements retain the wildly eclectic and ecstatic glow that only they can harness and hand out to an unprepared world.

Now, we have General Magic’s second official full length comeback recording, Bosko. The new album is initially notable prior to the needle hitting the wax or the cursor identifying a track due to the artwork. Made by long term collaborator Tina Frank, this is Frank’s first analogue artwork, with a painting of a happy/nervous machine thing hovering in a landscape of no discernible identity. It’s quasi science fiction hovering amongst the potential for fun. Suited to the music? Natürlich.

Bosko sees Bauer and Pieper update and reframe their original investigations with a fresh supply of head scratching, heart racing tunes that hit the inexplicable with a wild mesh of drums, pianos, synthetic voices and all manner of immaterial sonic play. Startling sonics shock the ears on Club Duchamp which sounds like a conversation between synthetic adult ants in an environment still in development. Elfer features vocals supplied by a female-ish voice who, whilst grappling melody, has trouble executing a firm identity. Noorenhalt catapults along a mainframe of syncopation so unwieldy it feels like the voice, which is utterly alien, provides the only comfort. Seite 5 inhabits a fuzzy zone where a synthetic Horn of Jericho type ambience competes with rhythms never quite sure of who they are. Rise of the Ombré raises the spectral dread. Is this Science Fact? Absolutely nothing within Bosko is predictable.

The amount of change in the miasma of existence and the things we touch in order to make things has shifted so exponentially we are at the point where minds are starting to glaze over. All of this makes the return of the always original, always surprising, always fresh and exciting General Magic totally in tune with the artificial intelligent apocalyptic age we currently inhabit. The tools may have changed but the wonderfully warped gaze of Bosko offers a fresh new vision of perplexing funk and robotic punk.

Rivet’s new album for Editions Mego is an uplifting and joyous affair coming in the wake of tragedy and disenchantment. It is yet another rebirth from an artist willing to take a step back and reprise the current situation he is in. Mika Hallbäck has a long credible history in the Swedish underground. First recognised for his industrial techno works under the Grovskopa moniker he worked privately on more experimental works that eventually came out as On Feather and Wire, an album released on Editions Mego in 2020. After much acclaim for this bold new direction that blended electronic abstraction, pop and industrial forms into a heavy synthetic trip two tragedies struck. One was the passing of label boss Peter Rehberg and then the passing of his dog Lilo, who was as close as a companion one could have. These events led to the release of the more unsettling follow up L+P-2 (Lilo and Pita minus two) on Midnight Shift Records in 2023. Peck Glamour sees Rivet return to the reawakened Editions Mego with an album of optimism inspired by reconciliation with loss and further explorations of new mental/sonic realms.

Hallbäck defines his approach as not being married to any particular machine, instrument, process or genre. However he holds a particular affinity to sampling, of which, he says, provides the dirt and grit amongst what would otherwise be pristine, generic machine music. The contemporary crate digging method of scouring obscure download music bogs for unique sounds was his preferred research practice.

Peck Glamour is an album full of tracks brimming with the excitement of exploration. It's the results of a mind informed by punk, industrial, techno, dancefloor, disappointment, trauma and rebirth. Here the synthetic and authentic is viewed simply as the same means of human rationale and expression.

The opening, ‘Catch Up to Light’, sets the scene with ecstatic and odd fluorescent vocals sliding amongst crystalline likembe whilst synths swirl amongst the external festivities. ‘Orbiting Empty Cocoon’ is somewhat a homage to the alien sound worlds of The Orb, one which takes the listener deeper into a mind melting array of teased potential as visual elements are executed in a mask of audio wizardry and euphoric staccato rhythms, the later being a nod to Singeli music. ‘Patitur Butcher’ is more dance frontal utilising the Ghatam drum and a YouTube rip of a Chinese language lesson. ‘Plastic Bag Putain’ was made during the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and should be clear of its intent. ‘All that Heaven Allows’ is a marimba cover of an imaginary Love Parade anthem. 'Kyrie Geire’ potentially briefly fills the void left by the demise of Coil. The entire trip of Peck Glamour is sewn up with ‘We left before we came’ whereby extraneous recordings of double bass player Gregory Vartian-Foss (tuning/strumming/moving the bass) are superimposed with local field recordings to create a gorgeous bed of sounds acting as an exciting exit music to this sharp collection of cinematic ear excursions.

Founded by Karigan and Organiks (The Roots Makers), The Earliers consists of 5 musicians and two singers. Sebah's voice will not go unnoticed, since he is part of a family of singers for whom soul is no longer a secret: a real pleasure for the ears! He has been singing for more than ten years in the emblematic French ska/reggae group "100Gr de Têtes". Musician from father to son also, Congo Lion is bringing a very rich background from his Congolese origins and a very tribal universe in his musical style. A perfect blend between the soul and early reggae period which makes the show of "The Earliers" a true tribute to the roots of reggae.

Leeds Bleep-techno royalty Ability II aka David Duncan has been on the Wrecks radar for a few years now, the unison dating back to Luca Lozano's remix of his evergreen anthem 'Pressure' in 2017. Since the remix the communication has stayed open and talks of a collaboration started, linking generations old and new. That collaboration, recorded over a couple of years and a couple of studios, results in WRECKS057 'My Definition of Bass'. Four tracks split into two sides, the WRECKS side is taken care of by Lozano and long time collaborator and friend DJ Steve. The two producers live jammed sketches, recorded the sessions and then incorporated original vocals by Ability II, churning out acid wiggles and jacking drum tracks. Ability then took these versions and then dubbed them out in his crossover style for the I9M side, resulting in two steppers made for the strictly for the bassbins. Echoing vocal layers and new instrumentation takes them out of the usual 'wrecks wrealm' and into new, dubbier territories.

The year is 1989 and it's the peak of the Belgium New Beat craze. Not limited to records and clubs, the New Beat lifestyle was marketed to death with all sorts of fashion items, a plethora of accessories, and at least one erotic movie.

Fast forward a few decades. In the middle of nowhere, Switzerland, tucked inside a long-forgotten video store that closed its doors in 1999 and sat untouched for 20 years, we stumbled upon a strange treasure amongst tons of VHS hidden in the adult section. A mysterious VHS labeled "Erotiques New Beat."

What we found was pure 1989 Belgian erotica-low budget, fog-drenched, and neon-soaked. Minimalist sets. Girls in PVC. Flashing lights. Mirrors. Fog machines. Loud colors. It was erotic, sure-but also oddly sweet, almost innocent in its surreal, lo-fi dreaminess.

And then came the soundtrack.

That's what really floored us. A collection of New Beat gems, raw, simple, irresistible. Somehow, it captured the full spectrum of the genre: 100-110 bpm grooves with shades of EBM, sleazy coldwave rhythms, sensual synths, proto-Goa pulses, monk choirs, oriental melodies, and a healthy dose of movie samples. It felt alive. Timeless. Utterly perfect.

We had to know more. We dug, tracked down the source, and in 2020, reissued the soundtrack on vinyl. It sold out fast. Now, five years later, we thought about pressing one final batch. A special edition on picture disc, featuring the original smileys from the VHS.

we stumbled upon this material—music recorded in our home studio years ago.
We've decided to release it as a testament to the power of creativity and the ability to produce music even with
modest equipment, proving that a professional studio isn't always a necessity.

Live One ist der legendäre Mitschnitt des mit Spannung erwarteten Auftritts von COIL im April 2000 in der Londoner Royal Festival Hall (im Rahmen des ,Cornucopea"-Minifestivals von Julian Cope). Während es in den frühen 1980er Jahren bereits erfolglose Versuche von Live-Shows gegeben hatte, gilt dieses Konzert allgemein als das wahre COIL-Live-Debüt. In der Besetzung John Balance, Peter ,Sleazy" Christopherson, Thighpaulsandra und Ossian Brown betraten COIL die RFH-Bühne in ihren eigens entworfenen, flauschigen, polaren Teletubby-Anzügen und spielten ein äußerst hypnotisches Set, das ein wenig an ihr bahnbrechendes Album ,Time Machines" erinnerte, aber auch Variationen und Spannungen enthielt, die bei diesem dröhnenden Meisterwerk weitgehend fehlten. Balances Gesang bei "Queens of the Circulating Library" ist immer noch eine sehr kontrollierte, aber effektive Angelegenheit und unterscheidet sich deutlich von seinen späteren manischen Ausbrüchen. Sowohl die Show selbst als auch die lange vergriffene und jetzt sehr gesuchte CD-Veröffentlichung von 2003 wurden extrem gut aufgenommen und wurden zum Eckpfeiler einer schnellen Folge von COIL-Touren in den dazwischen liegenden vier kurzen Jahren bis zu Balances frühem Tod. Diese allererste Doppel-Vinyl-Version dieses fantastischen historischen Dokuments der COIL-Erfahrung wurde vollständig von dem überlebenden Mitglied Thighpaulsandra betreut und ist jetzt auf dem Retractor-Label erhältlich, präsentiert in klassischem Schwarz mit einer aufwendigen Gatefold-Hülle und gepresst auf 180g Vinyl. Auch als Einzel-CD wieder erhältlich.

Das neue Album "The Passionate Ones" von dem Singer-Songwriter und Produzent Nourished By Time aus Baltimore erscheint auf XL Recordings. "The Passionate Ones", das zwischen Baltimore, London und New York City entstand, beschreibt auf 12 Tracks auch die kaputten Seiten des American Dreams beschreibt. Nourished By Time entstand Ende 2019 in Los Angeles als eine Art Flucht aus dem Alltag. Marcus Brown drohte an der Monotonie seines Tagesjobs zu zerbrechen und suchte nach einem Ausweg. 200 Records marks its 50th release with a four-track EP showcasing both fresh faces and long-time contributors to the label. M.R.E. opens with a vibrant house cut, full of energy and warmth. Blauert follows with a deep, dub-tinged house track, subtle but with a steady, driving rhythm that keeps things moving. Serenda is a London-based DJ and producer of Guyanese and Greek heritage, known for her rich, eclectic sound rooted in house but never confined by it. Her sets fold between soulful depth and experimental edge, always delivered with a bold, contemporary vision.

Her sets are grounded in rhythm and instinct, built less around genre than sensation. She blends percussive house, warped club music, and raw, organic textures; crafting dancefloors that feel immersive and visceral and emotioanlly charged . There’s a physicality to her sound that edges toward the primal. For Serenda, DJing is a form of play - fluid, responsive, and deeply connected.

She deconstructs and distorts house music with intent, letting in pressure, dissonance, and emotional rupture. Her sets draw on the “timeless mindless states” of Mancuso’s The Loft, unfolding as rituals that don’t smooth over the chaos, they work with it.

Following the release of her debut EP The Prophecy on Josh Caffe’s Love Child label, she made her mark with a headline show in Fabric’s Room 2 and a Rinse FM residency. A regular in London’s queer underground, Serenda is also shaped by New York’s experimental club scene, where experimental sound and unfiltered expression mirror her own ethos.

Rick Wade on Norm Talley's Upstairs Asylum are words that will excite any true school house heads. Wade is a production machine who turns out always no-frills, trusty and tracky grooves of the sort that are always essential for building a vibe in a set, and Talley's a fellow Detroit head who has long been helping to shape the house sound. 'So Juicy' begins with a flourish, lavish strings and chunky drums that slide along nicely. 'Midnight Hustler' sinks into a slightly more steamy and deep sound with hints of 60s US soul and funky licks, 'Turn Out' is a more traditional deep house roller with a comic vibe and 'Lonely Symphony' brings some cinematic string drama to a breezy blend of house beats.
