The Chisa Years: 1965-1975 (Rare and Unreleased) is a compilation album by South African jazz trumpeter Hugh Masekela. The album consists of 14 rare or forgotten tracks recorded by Stewart Levine and Hugh Masekela from 1965 to 1975 when they ran their own Chisa Records label.Thom Jurek of Allmusic wrote 'In sum, there isn't a weak moment on this entire collection. It's appeal is wide and deep and one can only hope this is the first of many volumes of this material to appear. BBE Records has done a stellar job in making this slab available.' Dan Nishimoto of the Prefix Magazine stated 'The compilation focuses on Masekela's original idea of 'African American Music.' From the early experiments of the Zulus (a group featuring M'Bulu) in mixing doo-wop, rhythm & blues and South African gospel and the mbaqanga/'Grazing in the Grass'-style work of the generically named Johannesburg Street Band to the clearly Fela-influenced Ojah (Masekela's band in the mid-'70s, consisting of players from Ghana and Nigeria) and the readyfor-primetime belting of M'Bulu, each track reveals a multi-pronged effort to find and challenge the notion(s) of how African and American cultural forms could interact.'

Belgian based Phara makes a huge debut on Soma with The Great Attractor EP. With his fast, raw and energetic sound, Phara's ascent has been quick off the mark and this latest release has the young producer stretch himself farther with cleverly produced and exciting tracks. UK Techno don, Setaoc Mass backs up this already masterful EP, lending his own prowess to the title track.

Great Attractor leans on 90s, spaced out techno vibes as fast paced 909s fire against the backdrop of rapid, modulating synths. Setaoc Mass' remix comes up next, offering a deeper more restrained affair. However, as usual, the adept nature of his productions deal out devastating effect. On the flip, Mission 3,2,1 delves into dubbed out synth work whilst retaining drive and groove. Further dub explorations are found on closing track The Andromeda Manoeuvre. Spacial synth work and atmospherics ebb and flow as Phara's hard hitting and relentless percussive work deals the final blow.

After 15 years of shaping Hungary's electronic music events scene, Technokunst proudly unveils its record label. The inaugural 12" kicks off a series of collaborative releases, featuring some of the collective's favourite Artists. Each release in the 'Split Series' will consist of both original tracks and reworks.

The first EP brings together Rrose and Luigi Tozzi for a dive into very deep waters across four cuts of mental Deep Techno. These are functional, floor-focused workouts - built for keeping the floor moving through all phases of the night.

Mastered by Giovanni Conti at Artefacts Mastering. Lacquer cut by Simon at The Exchange. Limited pressing on 180gr heavyweight white vinyl in full color sleeve. Previous releases on aufnahme+wiedergabe, Fleisch Records, Minimal Wave Records imprint Cititrax and n-PLEX have been frequently played by acclaimed DJs (Phase Fatale, Randomer, VTSS, Amelie Lens, Regis, Helena Hauff, SPFDJ, Veronica Vasicka, Silent Servant to name a few).

Schwefelgelb is a Techno duo from Berlin, known for their raw but precise and cutting productions. Their reputation for a strikingly energetic live show brought them into clubs and festivals around the globe.

After launching their own label n-PLEX and releasing two original EPs on it, NPLX003 marks a re-release of their most successful record "Dahinter Das Gesicht" ("Behind It The Face"), which was released on aufnahme+wiedergabe in 2017 primarily. After 1500 sold out copies it still remains highly demanded as one of the most influential records for actual EBM-Industrial-influenced Techno. This re-issue comes in a special edition of remastered track versions and also includes an edit of its most notorious track "Es Zieht Mich" as addition to the four original tracks.

The Berlin-Hamburg duo, Session Victim bring their celebrated Sidequests trilogy to a close with Chapter Three on Delusions Of Grandeur,

wrapping up the series in signature style—full of warmth, groove and left-of-center touches that remind us why their music has remained so enduring over nearly two decades.

And a remix from Ian Pooley to boot!

A central figure in the contemporary scene, Setaoc Mass delivers five tracks of intimidatingly dystopian techno for Fuse's next release. Synth-heavy and melodically focused, the UK native brews moody tones over his signature percussion to provide a touch of improvisation for balance. In Static Rush, genres and influences collide under the persistence of concrete club music.

A haunting synth sequence opens FUSE10 with 'The Sky Above', showcasing Setaoc Mass's intentions for the rest of the release. Playing with decay and sifting through shakers, the seasoned producer fills the spectrum with constant tension throughout the entirety of the A1. In 'Shaded', whipping white noise over sixteenth synth notes, the pressure rises and falls with whistling accents on the transitions. Keeping the dancer on their toes with a lively arrangement, Setaoc Mass keeps his hands on all elements to maximise the record's progression. Moving to the B side, Feeling blends harmony and robust tone. Claps thunder through the track's warehouse acoustics, complemented by a sharp lead cutting through a heavy low end. The structure remains elusive and quick like the previous two, and it boasts a full, grinding sound destined for peak-time sets.

The end of Feeling then dips down into a two-track journey of ethereal sound designs and soft melodies. Keeping the rhythm swinging, Flutter By settles the atmosphere with an IDM-inspired iced synth and pads. This change of emotion pushes depth into the record, providing a welcome surprise in Static Rush. Setaoc Mass then signs off with the final contribution to the EP, Overload. Pushing further than ever into melody with hints of Detroit electro and a complete absence of a kick, the producer teases a slithering arrangement that ends his record with a bold conclusion.

With their forthcoming album, Dark Channel, they present a raw, club-focused record that stands as both a reflection of our turbulent times and a celebration of the dance floor's enduring power.

In 2025, the world feels fractured, dominated by division and extremism. Amidst this chaos, the dance floor remains a rare sanctuary-one of unity, self-expression, and collective escape. Dark Channel is an unapologetic tribute to this sacred space, where rhythm dissolves barriers and music serves as a universal language. Through relentless energy, deep textures, and hypnotic grooves, the album embodies the essence of club culture: a place where we reconnect with ourselves and each other.

Slam make no mistake when it comes to the sonic tone of the album as it opens with the tribalistic Use It, Lose It before the discordant sounds of title track Dark Channel hints at the relentless nature of things to come. The intensity continues with Parametric Factor & Glide - both pushing a pulsating, synth driven trip; the later leading on a more traditional Slam percussive workout. The dance floor warping Morganatic pursues dark territory while Infinit Spaces adds trippy FX to an already animated synth hook. The beautifully crafted Kuture Version delves into a more immersive sound as more direct, chord driven elements take the lead. The pace quickens yet again with Ghost Dancer highlighting sub tones whilst still crafting ominous intonations with its modulating FX. Approaching the conclusion, the ferocious Beat On The Drum delivers a lesson in rhythm and energy before the contorted Irregular Object completes proceedings in a suitably hypnotic fashion.

Up next on Brooklyn's Scissor & Thread is the latest EP from Snad, aka Shyam Anand (also known as Spandrel), the Berlin-based artist whose discography already spans labels like Smallville, Minibar, 20:20 Vision, Phonica AM, TerraFirm, Running Back, Cabinet, Kimochi and Dungeon Meat with remixes for names including Seafoam and Chez Damier.
A trusted selector and producer in the underground, Snad has steadily built a reputation for deeply considered productions that balance classic inspiration with his own forward-thinking edge.
The AM Yard EP opens with its title track, a warm, hazy cut rooted in the kind of bassline architecture that recalls Chez n Trent's Morning Factory but reshaped with Snad's signature dreamlike touch.
Anticip8 fanchors the release with a more direct energy, rolling, insistent and focused on the floor, balancing stripped-down drive of dusty samples wrung through his digitakt with just enough harmonic flourish to pull the listener inward.

Single release from the forthcoming album “Catharsis”, produced by Sven Va¨th & Gregor Tresher The second release before the upcoming mighty new Sven Va¨th album “Catharsis” gives you another hint at what´s coming at you! Let us tell you, we couldn´t be more excited for everyone to finally experience Sven´s new masterpiece! But before we unleash the beast, we decided to release a second single. This time containing two absolute highlight tracks. If you have heard Sven playing in the past months, you will recognize both, as they were pivotal moments in almost every set! First up we have “Mystic Voices“, a track that was created during the early stages of the album production with Sven gathering ideas and words to finally record the unmistakable vocals during a hectic tour through India, and Gregor spending days and nights on the other side of the planet in his studio to process the stream of inspiration. When the two finally sat down together in the studio, the track emerged quickly. Some would call the instant vibe that magic that every creative mind is longing to find. “Butoh” is a raw and dark force, influenced by Japanese dance, an art form that deeply touched Sven during his travels on Nippon Island. Flying into the new year with the return of The Southside Surgeons - the production team of WeeG & Si Cheeba on the “Echo-Labs” sub label (for collaborations in the Echo Chamber) - with another double header of clubwise 45 action

The A Side “Calling All Dancers” drops a Cosmic-Afro-Boogie sound laced with funky breaks - coming on like Dexter Wansel -vs- Manu Dibango - with a mid 1970s club feel and subtle up to date production.

It certainly lives up to its name, as a rallying call for people to hit the dancefloor, when it’s recently been aired on Test Press up and down the country !

The flipside “Follow Me…” takes you to a late 1970s Brasilian Block Party with a variation on a familiar bass line, cut up with brass stabs and old school rap vocals. It’s proving to be a great party starter with its head-nodding groove and funky chants.

“It 's curious… for over 20 years nobody was interested in these tracks. They were not played by DJs at all.” - Bloop Bloop is the short-lived techno project by Dirk Bittner and Dirk Jan Müller who are both part of the German psychedelic Krautrock band Electric Orange. Three decades later, Delirious Allusion sees the light of day on the new Brussels imprint Pinguin Society. The A-side features both the original and the mix ahead versions of Delirious Allusion (1997). The flip side offers ‘Robotic Operation’, a previously unreleased track by the duo from ‘98.

Welcoming the first Body Edits release! A label shrouded in mystery with rumours swirling that it's the work of one of the UK's most respected house music icons. This two-time Grammy-nominated producer adds his deft touch to four classic dancefloor heaters. Essential!

Stepping up for Punctuality number 8 is the dynamic duo of Ciel and Matthis Ruffing. Needing little introduction, both artists are prolific producers and collaborators across tempos and genres. Toronto-based Ciel has released music on labels like NAFF, Peach Discs, and !K7, while Berliner Matthis Ruffing’s work can be found on International Chrome, Infinite Drift, and Strictly Strictly, to name just a few.

Bonding over a shared love for the techno stylings of Claude Young and early 2000s tech/prog house from labels like Future Groove and Slide, the duo’s collaboration began with a spontaneous jam in Ruffing’s Berlin studio during the summer of 2022. With an organic studio chemistry, the pair continued to jam over the following years. Hot Squid is the result of these studio experiments: five tracks of sleek, muscular, contemporary tech house that fluidly distill the creative visions of both artists—slick, shimmering grooves, heavily weighted for the dancefloor.

The title track, Hot Squid, weaves dubbed-out waves of FX and low-end sonics around metallic, staccato drum bursts, sci-fi pads, stuttered vocals, and syncopated snares that flit and flicker around a rolling bassline reminiscent of golden-era UK tech house from the late ’90s. Roza Terenzi’s remix flips the original into a modern, low-stepping tek roller—a mind-bending re-fix that puts more focus on the snaking vocal groove and a sparser percussion arrangement, filled out with lustrous textures and razor-precise sound design.

On Little Voice, glossy synths and spiraling atmospherics cascade around a mesmeric vocal line, while tightly wound, minimal drum loops give way to a swaggering bassline that barely relents throughout the track. The result is a satisfyingly boshy, groove-driven roller, fit for the dancefloor at any time of day.
Late Summer maintains the EP’s high-grade production standard in the form of a dreamy, electro-leaning tech house number, resplendent with deep, pummeling kick drums, woozy low-end, and organic sonics. Its plucked melody and introspective pads nod to halcyon-era IDM and the Detroit techno that inspired the duo in creating Hot Squid.

The release culminates in Bong Bong—a meditative dancefloor tool suffused with ASMR-like nature documentary samples that lend the track a psychedelic intimacy. Careening percussion lines and swooning chord stabs anchor the rhythm, while the title’s “Bong Bong” mantra hums beneath the surface, carried along by barely perceptible sub fills and ultra-processed percussion. A cohesive, unique, and enduring take on seminal tech house and Detroit techno from Ciel and Matthis Ruffing.

At the crossroads of tradition and experimentation, Damiano von Erckert's sonic identity is forged in the fertile space between house and techno - a spectrum he navigates with instinct and intention. DJ’s Project was a collaboration between Italian vocalist Silvano Pulignano and German DJs/composers André Schmechta, Bernd Schöler, and Claus-Christian Pesch. In the 1980s, the group released three singles that garnered quite a success, with production by the legendary Mike Mareen and distribution through his Night’n Day Records label.

The standout track from their catalog remains the highly sought-after single “Vision Of Love.” This breezy, well-crafted euro disco gem captures everything that defined the genre in its heyday, with its light melody and polished production.

During the recent digitization of Night’n Day Records’ original master tapes, unreleased material was unearthed, including the previously unheard instrumental version of “Vision Of Love.” This fresh reissue not only includes that rare version but also features a special DJ Edit, making it an essential addition for collectors and DJs alike.

Dream Sonic Research kicks off its self-titled imprint with a debut release of four tracks crafted for forward-thinking dancefloors. Berlin-based Japanese DJ and producer Hisashi presents his debut EP on Snapout, The Snapout's Squad Day3 called The Place 2 B. A sonic snapshot of his unique world, the release blends deep grooves, playful textures, and emotive layers that reflect both the dance floor and the introspective moments beyond it. This EP marks Day 3 in the ongoing Snapout’s Squad series — each edition capturing a new chapter in the evolving narrative. Joining him is long-time friend and fellow artist Riku Sugimoto, who contributes a warm and trippy remix, adding his own perspective while staying true to the original spirit. A heartfelt first step, crafted between Berlin nights and nostalgic memories of home.

Justus Köhncke is a unique voice in the history of Kompakt – and far beyond. He has contributed so many unforgettable tracks to our catalogue that it was difficult for us to make a selection. His sound has often been copied, but remains incomparable. From his deep knowledge and understanding of the history of pop, schlager and disco, he distilled not only official club hits such as ‘2 After 909’ and “Timecode”, but also countless poetic gems. Both sides of Justus Köhncke’s work are united here on this record. Justus’ music knows no boundaries, only ‘​weiche Zäune (soft fences​)’.

Special attention should be paid to the included bonus 10‘. Here you will find two of his most enchanting, hard-to-find cover versions. His immortal version of Jürgen Paape’s evergreen ’So weit wie noch nie‘ and the monumental adaptation of Round One’s ’New Day”, originally released under the nom de guerre Kinky Justice.

Casabianca launches its vinyl imprint with “Irma’s Disko,” the debut EP from Zagreb-based DJ and producer MIMI.

Channeling the deeper corners of contemporary club music, the EP moves between hypnotic percussion, atmospheric tension and moody, slow-building grooves.

“Treshold Chant” opens with ritualistic rhythm and forward-driving momentum, while “S04E04” explores a darker, more introspective space.

The B-side centers on the title track “Irma’s Disko,” where MIMI combines tight, minimal drum work with unsettling synth motifs and a steadily expanding rhythmic architecture.

Closing the record, Düsseldorf’s Tolouse Low Trax reshapes the track into his signature off-kilter style — sparse, shadowy and unmistakably physical.

Man O To from the elusive producer NU is finally set to be released as a single on Crosstown Rebels, featuring remixes from Parisian producer Pépé Bradock who producers two amazing takes on the original. Since its inclusion on Acid Pauli's Get Lost Compilation in 2012, the track has gained huge support and become a modern-day electronic classic.
A nomad of modern times, NU has travelled the continents with his diverse music to unearth his imitable style. Represented heavily in Man O To, where instruments amalgamate with electronic production to become solid rhythms. An extra spark come from its lyrics, outtakes from an old Persian poem from the well known poet Rumi, who speaks of true happiness in love here performed by Ghazal Shakeri from an original recording made by renowned French composer Armand Amar.
Julien Auger aka Pépé Bradock is a widely respected producer best known for his ground breaking remixes and releases on labwes such a Avatisme, Classic and Versatile Recordings. As a DJ, he has spun in almost every major club in the world and is known for his versatile, and mesmerising style. Bradock conjures a trippy remix and dub version of Man O To and fitting ode to the original.

A drifting and minimalistic techno house by the Ukrainian artist and long-time friend O’FortyFour who's pulsating, floor-focused A-side meets the late-hours yet sharp precision of the closing track on the B-side.

The time has come to unveil Lumbago’s 16th release. Written and produced by P.O. (with an additional track co-crafted with U-Died under their alias Flash FM) this EP crystallizes the long-standing artistic connection between the artists and the label. Their influence on Lumbago’s sonic evolution made this moment inevitable. With PAWSA’s innovative production skills and Adventures of Stevie V’s timeless vocals, this release captivates both longtime devotees of the original and a new audience discovering its energetic essence.

With over 20 albums under his belt, John Beltran returns to his much-loved Placid Angles project with one of his strongest albums to date. Years of experience have brought a deep focus and awareness of textures, space and emotion that reveal a producer at the top of his game.

From the sound of slowly moving mountains that is the title track "Canada" to the breakbeat-laden "Hero BK" and collaborations with Sophia Stel, Tom VR, and Yussh, it's easy to hear why this album is special.

Beltran notes, "Everything from the scenery to the people just made sense, so I decided to dedicate this record to them and that beautiful country." He adds, "I think you'll hear a little bit of all of the Placid records in this one. I encapsulated what the project has always been and will continue to be moving forward."

Tripmastaz is back on his imprint with Tripmastaz 08 which features three large-scale dancefloor bangers ranging from freaky big-room smashers to dubby warehouse groovers. Part 3 of 3 opens with an absolute weapon of a track from Medlar, ‘Hardly Workin’ is a peak time track of the highest order fusing straight up House with a UK baseline to rattle any system. Next up is Texan Father Sheed (full EP from him coming very soon) with a jack track to get the body moving.

Over on the B-side Kenny Blacksmith takes us in a deeper direction with ‘Church’ full of lush pads and warming baselines. To close out the record Dim City takes it up a notch with an end of the night rave anthem.

Across seven tracks led by collaborator Layla Sibelle, we feel every facet of this universal human experience. Exploring the more vulnerable shades of 4am Kru’s proven dancefloor technique, each track on the Love On The Line EP shakes sound systems, while staying true to the record’s emotional core.

From the tingle of excitement depicted on 'Rush', to the disappointment of being let down on ‘Boy’, the relationship ending on ‘Hush Now’, alongside everything in between, Love On The Line EP keeps bodies moving, while pushing the sound and songwriting of 4am Kru in unexpected new directions.

Techno's most influential label hits 200 releases with two powerful Amelie Lens interpretations of an Adam Beyer classic.

Over the course of its lifespan, Drumcode's vision has remained resolute, crafting techno that's both functional and forward-thinking. It's a philosophy that extends to the stable of artists who release on the label and play its showcases, with Adam Beyer's eyes and ears always focused on the future.

One artist in his viewpoint in recent years is Amelie Lens. Supporting her early productions on Lyase and Second State, a kinship naturally developed between the two artists, with Beyer asking her to contribute to 2017's A-Sides Vol.6 compilation.

Her blistering acid cut 'In Silence' blew the collective techno world out of the water.

Eighteen months on and now a regular on Drumcode showcase line-ups, Beyer has sought the Lenske Records boss to apply her energetic take on techno and remix 'Teach Me', his deep, Detroit-influenced cut from 2014.

The Main Mix highlighted the Swede's Drumcode Halloween set in London and is an exhilarating peak-team weapon driven by a grinding bassline that undulates with intensity, while Lens has made smart work of the vocal, teasing out the sample to harmonic perfection.

The Acid Mix sees the Belgian deliver a stripped back 303-led affair, utilising the looped vocal to build energy in the first half of the track, before rapid-fire percussion and squelchy stabs take control and push the atmosphere into darker and more ominous realms

Kalita are proud to announce the first ever 7” single reissue of what is possibly the most coveted gospel disco record in existence, the Al-Dos Band’s soulful masterpiece ‘Doing Our Thing With Pride’. This iconic reissue is backed by the band’s previously unreleased recording ‘Love Jones Coming Down’. At long last, Kalita revives this South Carolinian grail single, housed in a limited-edition picture sleeve. Originally penned and produced in 1976 by husband-and-wife duo William and Elizabeth Robinson in Greenville, South Carolina – a city steeped in musical heritage – the record was released in a run of just 200 copies the following year on their own label, Warmer Productions. ‘Doing Our Thing With Pride’ epitomises the best in uplifting crossover gospel disco, equally suited to both peaceful listening and dancefloor action. Despite garnering some attention upon its original release, the single struggled to make headway against the prevailing music forces of the time. Coupled with mounting academic and familial obligations, the release faded into obscurity, eventually becoming a highly sought-after gem, commanding exorbitant prices whenever an original copy surfaced for sale—a rarity that occurred only once every decade. Now, following their successful unearthing of the band’s unreleased album in 2021, Kalita present this remarkable record in a limited-edition 7” picture sleeve single.

Classic west coast electro by Romanian dj and producer Andrew Red Hand who drops his final part of The Cemetery series on Rotterdam Electronix. The title track gets a stunning melodramatic remix by Electro overlord The Exaltics. Killer electro cuts for the dark & cold days that lie ahead.
