Harlem Shake is lively house with sleazy bass, big synths and a bristling sense of party and atmosphere that really pumps any club. It has slick production values and a mad lead that is full of fun.


Flashback is a track that gets you ducking and diving with its turbo bass and great female vocals. The whole thing is a really characterful and explosive cut. This is a standout EP from this duo.

Release info: Round up part IV marks the end of year 4 of Heist Recordings and it might be our most varied release yet with some serious Afro funk from Switzerland, electronic soul from Italy, proper old school deep house from the UK and some Dutch guys adding a bit of swing to the package. For those unfamiliar with our annual concept release: The Round Up is a release where each artist that has released this year gets remixed by another Heist artist from that same year. We put all the names in a big hat, and draw straws. The result: 6 different remixes from 6 of the most intriguing original tracks of the year, in a deluxe 180 gram 2x12 pack. Fouk had the honor to rework one of the most euphoric tracks ever to come out on Heist and certainly one of Nachtbraker's most party-oriented tracks ever: Hamdi. They flipped the original into a rhodesy afro-tinged jam filled with lovely bleeps and fx and some great work on the keys. The DS remix of Parker Madicine's Heartbreaker is just as dreamy as it is driving, making full use of their synth-cave with an ever-evolving Moog bassline and some great pads on the Arp Odyssey. Alma Negra's Blacksoul remix of Nebraska's Big Plate Chicken takes the full B side and rightly so. The African drums, chants and looped sampling the original's bleeps give a great groove, but the track really comes alive when the bassline kicks in. The second 12 gives room for Nachtbraker's Swing mix of Can't Hold it, where he lets loose a trippy, sample heavy track with a dustier ambience than your grandmother's living room. Turn it over and you'll find Parker Madicine jazzing up Afrorleans and Nebraska throwing in a classic deep house touch on his remix for Fouk.

Roots Unit are - once again - on the cutting and splicing side of things, this time tackling 2 rockets with afro-centric house leanings.

First up is 'This Poem', an alternative house take on the tune made most famous by Bobby Konders via his initial sample source, way back when. Percussive house beats mixed with deep stringy chords intertwined by THAT poem. Simple, effective and one that will lift many a dance floor.

Secondly we have 'Trenchtown Double Down'. This is an altogether moodier dub-house affair that sees Jamaica go to a lost New York garage party circa 1993. "

Lumberjacks in Hell comes out with a milestone compilation to celebrate 10 years in business with an all star line up made of the likes of Detroit Swindle, Waajeed, PBR Streetgang and Lumberjacks founder Marcel Vogel himself, alongside Tim Jules and Javonntte. Soul Central responsible for the anthemic house version of 'Strings of Life' needs no introduction. Swedish producer HNNY (real name Johan Cederberg) releases his debut album 'Sunday' on Omena Records, a label set up by Tobias 'Tooli' Lidstrom.

The ten track debut album continues an ongoing partnership between HNNY and Omena Records that started in April 2014 when the 12" 'Always' was released which also marked the starting point of the label.

Sunday is released as a 180 g vinyl edition in gatefold sleeve.

Here comes the second Toy Tonics EP by Joel Holmes & Cody Currie.
The new Berlin based duo that works on a fresh musical style that combines Jazz, broken beats, Soul and NY House.
Joel, the American jazz pianist, is a former member of Roy Hargrove’s Grammy winning Jazz-Hop band and member of Carl Craig’s synthesizer ensemble. Joel is living in Berlin now, where he is involved in the new vibrant Neo-Jazz scene. (Yes! Berlin used to be a Techno city, but it’s becoming a Jazz town now!)
In Berlin Joel throws monthly jam sessions (the Urban Base Jam) where the creme de la creme of Berlins ex-pad jazz musicians meets up. Crazy things can happen here. Like when Erykah Badu played Berlin in 2019 and her complete band came to jam at Joel’s session after their gig.
Joel teamed up with Cody Currie: 24 year old London born talent, who already made waves in the house scene. Cody is known as a stylized producer, with a unique recognisable sound. Much of his craft was homed in studying a bachelors in music in London. His most known work by now might be a jazzy reinvention of ‘Devils Shoestring’ with over half a million plays on SC and YT. With his new works Cody is coming away from sampling, working only with live instrumentation.
Joel & Cody both live in Berlin now where they met Toy Tonics head honcho Mathias „Kapote“ Modica. And when they met there was a vibe instantly. All three have their roots in jazz music and share similar ideas about how dance-music should evolve in 2020

Label boss Nachtbraker is finally making his solo debut on Quartet Series after a successful EP last year on Heist Recordings. Widely known for exploring different sounds and angles with his productions, this record is the most club-orientated to date. Intricate ghetto house with a slight French touch to straight up 4x4 with a pinch of jacking flavour would be an accurate description of this release. The use of 90's hip hop samples within this auditory concoction successfully highlights Nachtbraker's excellent ear for detail and penchant for exciting, eclectic and downright weird changeovers. The main hitter taking over the full A side is the title track 'Small Towel People". An uplifting bass line accompanied by heated 909 percussion and a hypnotic thriving arp to seal the deal. On the flipside, you'll find 'Kippendijen' on the B1. A heavyweight in the house category, some glimpses of early days jacking house and a little French touch on the filter. Throw in a breakdown even Houdini wouldn't be able to handle and you'll find yourself putting this track on repeat. Then when the needle hits the B2 groove, 'Zomaar' kicks off with an energetic mpc style breakbeat before morphing into a deep jam of lush chords and a thrusting 4x4 beat. The track closes after switching back to the first part of the record and ends in a sublimely deep and dubby breakbeat.

Kalita are happy to announce the first ever 12” reissue of Henry Turner Jr.'s hugely sought-after 1980 disco single, "Music", backed by the first ever re-release of his 1984 boogie single "Forever Us".

Kodiak Bachine is a multidisciplinary artist and one of the truly pioneers of electronic music in Brazil. He first formed in 1980 the legendary band Agentss considered to be the very first Brazilian electronic group. In 1982 he composed and recorded 'Eletricidade' with the use of a Minimoog Model D, Moog Liberation, Crumar String Ensemble and Vocoder. This track could be considered as the first techno-pop in Brazil. It was also used on a video-art awarded by different festivals. 'Espirito Das Maquinas' is a re-version created the same year.

Albert’s Favourites co-founder Adam Scrimshire is set to release his fourth album 'Listeners'. Musically, 'Listeners' draws from Scrimshire's passion for jazz, soul and electronic music of all styles; from an energetic combination of Afrobeat and garage on 'Won't Get Better', to the lushly orchestrated neo-soul of 'Thru You', and the harmonious jazz experimentations of 'I Never'. The album features a host of esteemed guest vocalists and musicians telling their own personal stories, including Georgia Anne Muldrow, Emma-Jean Thackray, Joshua Idehen, Madison McFerrin, Chip Wickham, and James Alexander Bright.

"With this album I wanted to get a more focused sound after six years of relearning and development in the studio. But I also struggled to find my own words, to speak about where I/we are now. So I allowed my collaborators total freedom to tell their own story and as they came back to me, they were telling the same stories I wanted to. It's resulted in some deeply personal confessional pieces: mourning family, collapsing relationships, extremes of self doubt and analysis, trying to balance public and inner persona, and a reminder that life in all forms is important.

It’s called 'Listeners' as I am a listener here, I feel like I've been given these very personal experiences to care for. Listeners because, the travesty of the last few years is that we stopped listening to each other, everyone is shouting at each other and no one is learning. And Listeners because I hope I've made something that is for other people more than I have before. I've tried to craft something warmer and more enjoyable, made for those who give me their time in listening to my music."

Since joining the Wah Wah 45s label in 2007, Scrimshire has released three albums of experimental cinematic jazz, and electronic sounds. Following his 2009 debut ‘Along Came The Devil One Night’, his second album ‘The Hollow’ (2011) was a BBC 6 Music Album of the Week, with Gilles Peterson calling it “A late contender for album of the year”.

In the time since the release of his last album ‘Bight’ (“An eclectic range of influences ranging from disco to fusion to more contemporary electronic styles” XLR8R) in 2013, Adam has worked with long-time musical accomplice Dave Koor on new project Modified Man, and launched Albert’s Favourites releasing projects by The Expansions, Hector Plimmer and Jonny Drop. He has continued to gain radio and DJ support for his successful “Scrimshire Edits” series and has produced and mixed records for artist including Stac, Daudi Matsiko, Bastien Keb, Ronin Arkestra, Jonny Drop. He has also continued to develop the Wah Wah 45s label, where he is now a co-owner and director.

Preceded by singles 'Thru You' featuring Georgia Anne Muldrow and 'Life Is Valuable' featuring James Alexander Bright; 'Listeners' is set for release on LP and digital formats via Albert’s Favourites on 19th July 2019.

The ever-prolific Ed Upton aka DMX Krew is up next on Utter with 'Turn It On', a four-track EP of Level 42 cover versions. Yes, you read that right... as if 2020 couldn't get any stranger!

This is no exercise in irony though. This record is a true labour of love for Ed, a sincere tribute to a band he adored as a youngster. The original Level 42 tracks he has covered - 'Turn It On', 'Love Games' and '43' - all appeared on their acclaimed self-titled debut album way back in 1981, which also featured the talents of a young Wally Badarou and Atmosfear's Leroy Williams.

Ed has stayed faithful to the tracks' excellent arrangements, swapping out live instruments for drum machines and synths, vocals for vocoders.

The result is a record that retains the original material's brit-funk charm but with that unmistakable DMX Krew electro-funk and boogie flavour. It breathes new life into these classic tracks without deviating from what made them so catchy and fun in the first place. We hope they put a smile on your face too.

As part of the emerging alternative rock/post-punk movement, Proxies was formed around 1978-79 in Thessaloniki, Greece, by Dimitrios Bitzenis (guitar), Jiannis Nastas (bass), George Pavlidis (lead singer), Manolis Trihakis (keyboards), and Lazaros Pliampas (drums). This formation got very well known locally by playing covers of Roxy Music, Talking Heads, Magazine, Devo, Television, Stranglers and other New wave bands. When Pavlidis left Greece, Nastas also left Proxies to form his own band, thus leaving Bitzenis behind as the new lead singer, guitarist and synth player, Trihakis on synth and bass, and with Pliampas still on acoustic drums. That formation almost got an contract with EMI but Xristos Vatseris (RIP), owner of the independent Thessaloniki based record company CVR, took Proxies under his wings so that they could keep control over their work. Eventually - in 1983 - their debut album 'Groovin' over Beirut' was released, recorded at the CVR studio together with engineer Kostas Kosmatopoulos (RIP). Bitzenis and Trihakis then went to the UK to study and almost got signed to Virgin Records who loved their music. Unfortunately they had to return to Greece to do their military service and the dream was over. In 1984, Pliampas left the band and the second album 'Eastern Side of Love' was released. It featured a cover of the traditional Greek song 'Fishing Boat' which became a huge hit and made Proxies a well-known name all over Greece. Trihakis eventually left the group due to not agreeing to the musical direction Proxies was about to pursue. In 1991, Bitzenis released a new album together with his cousin Nikos Bitzenis (who later formed the band Mikro and co-founder of Undo Records), and a final album together with Marina Jele in 1994 before Proxies went quiet. This re-issue features a bonus LP with six previously unreleased tracks recorded between 1982 and 1985.

Attic Salt Discs proudly presents the official re-issue of the Belgian synth-pop evergreen ‘Love In Motion’ (1984) by 1000 Ohm. The band kicked-off in 1979 with their successful debut A.G.N.E.S. / Look Around and later on developed their style from New Wave to Italo-Disco influenced Synth-Pop (‘The Claim’) and a decade later even touches of New Beat (‘You’re The One’). ‘Love In Motion’ is a beautiful mixture of 1000 Ohm's repertoire. The release comes with remastered versions of the original 12″ version, instrumental and on top a DJ friendly ‘Vanzetti & Sacco’ edit.

Milan based Take It EasyAlabel and party is back. This third drop comes from label owners Dirty Channels, Bugsy and DJLMP with the addition of the historical italian dj and Paradise Pizza's label owner Memoryman aka Uovo. The B-side see’s Yusuke Yamamoto’s ‘Kick Ass’ combine an hypnotic pad, bumpy bass and punchy vocals with a wink to the old school, while Joss Moog ‘Oazar’ shows off his exquisite production skills with a grooving and bumping cut.

Owl’s hibernation is over. The apex master of original and nostalgic remakes is back to claim his territory at the peak of that credible disco vantage point. This cult labels seventh vinyl release displays The Owl’s diversity in production styles. From originally written bottom-heavy bombs to painstakingly well-crafted funk fuelled reworks. Opening with a masterful adaption of a usually rather disjointed sounding track from the godfather of funk. The Owl seamlessly builds and slices relevant parts, to make a dancefloor song as catchy as it is groovy. The infectious use of a seemingly pedestrian vocal gives the song its rhythmical edge, making it a must-have for any true fan of real funk. Track two relays a deeper edge, whilst still keeping the overall funk undertone. With arrangement and percussion cleverly laid out in a house music format, this track is a very cool crossover from deep nu-disco to deep house. The third and fourth tracks show The Owl’s ability to write original material whilst still adding enough familiarity to keep the release within the overall scope of a rework release.

‘Feel It’ is the stand-out release of the EP, combining a classic house/rave anthem vocal with The Owl’s cleverly crafted original nu-disco backbone. No euphoric hands in the air breakdowns, but enough nostalgia to make the dancefloor crack a smile when the classic vocal rides over a funky new percussion and a swinging bassline.

Galapagos Records graces us with a new EP from artist Ryan Brokenshire, Vilcabamba. The third release off the label, Ryan Brokenshire offers a unique take on what I would expect from this tropical EP. Helped by drum sessions from John Joseph and Mike Dreg, he takes you to the tropical climate the title evokes. Disco vibes felt throughout as well as jazz feels. Vilcabamba opens with the title track, which includes some nice tropical drums and a distorted bassline ready to make you groove. It continues this smooth yet driving feel throughout. As the instrumentation develops, the consistency of the drum groove allows you to travel with the synths. There is something about the melody that allows for it to really meander in-and-out of focus. It's a lovely mix of some well-placed drums and keyboards. It's simple, to the point, and a solid open to this EP.

'Isabela' teases you with these beautiful keys right from the start, slowly building the drums on top. I had to repeat the track several times just to catch all the intricacies of the keyboard movements in this track. The snare's timing across the EP is amazing, but this track in particular has me all over the snare. Several minutes into the track you'll think you've seen it all, but wait: Brokenshire breaks out a whole new batch of electronic synths that really push the tempo. Adding yet another synth with some ethereal pads brings all three electronic elements together to really change the dynamic of the track. It's remarkable how these sections mesh so well and offer a progressive build to the track's momentum from start to finish.

Starting off with some uptempo drums and building on that solid groove, 'Ayahausca' is quicker than the previous songs and offers an almost driving power while still remaining consistent to the EP. The drums push the tempo, offering clean fills and big cymbals. The synth offers lots of textures as the filter cutoff is modulated while the piano is pushing through the middle of the track with an almost erratic feel. The top end on the bassline is pure bliss. The drums are well produced. The outro reminds me of disco tracks of lore, almost begging to be sampled.

'Todo El Mundo' feels more somber than the previous tracks. Opening with the most beautiful piano and pushing into a wall of synths and drums. It doesn't lack in excitement or even in the drum section, but something about the incorporation of the piano lines really softens this track for me. It has the same big fills and lovely melodies. The use of the instruments across arrangement allows for a lot to be going without being overwhelmed. This track in particular seems to be more direct in its on and off periods, which I totally dig.

Another classic from the Paradise Garage era, containing a killer “Spaziale” version by Stefano Ritteri alongside the original remastered extended version on the flip side.

In addition to being a singer Anané is also DJ with residencies in New York, Ibiza and Naples. She knows how to move the dancefloor and how to elevate the mood of the room from first creating the vibe to getting the crowd into a groove; ultimately taking the dancefloor into full fledged party mode. Her strong and distinctive character can be traced to her experiences growing up in Cabo Verde’s capital city of Praia located on the island of Santiago during a time of extreme political strife, and to her many years of working hard to establish herself in the always competitive music industry. It takes a lot to tackle a classic and make it uniquely your own, but that’s exactly what Anané has accomplished with this fresh and vibrant new version of “Get On The Funk Train.”

With her wealth of talent as a performer, Anané is also highly accomplished as a record label owner. As befitting an artist so well respected and admired in the community, the producer and remixer team behind this project consists of several of the most legendary and successful producers in the industry. The recording was originally produced by Grammy Award winning producer / artist Louie Vega, one of the world’s premier producers who has the rare distinctive of attaining massive success in multiple genres including House, Freestyle, R&B and just recently he has been focusing on revitalizing the great musical genre known as Disco. The production includes live strings arranged by two of the most highly accomplished members of NYC’s storied musical history Patrick Adams & Leroy Burgess, and electric guitar by Carlos Alomar, formerly David Bowie’s music director. Remixes were supplied by Todd Terry, a man who is known as one of the original New York City based producers who help create the House Music genre that we know today, and by the recently formed production team of Michael Gray and Mark Knight, two of England’s most respected and successful producer / DJs. Max Essa completes a trio of terrific releases on Hell Yeah with The Great Adventure EP. It's packed with more grown up dance floor dynamite and later in the year will be collected together with the first two parts to make for a full album.

By now you will know that Essa is part of the UK's Balearic mafia. He's served up big tunes on Is It Balearic?, Aficionado, Music For Dreams, and his music always acts as a sonic raft that floats you out to sea and leaves you bobbing up and down in a state of pure bliss.

Opener 'Tombolo' starts as acoustic music and the sound of a muffled crowd but soon awakens into an uptempo affair littered with toms, guitar licks and claps that are driven by bumping drums. There are elements of old school, Italo and classic house but somehow it feels completely new and fresh as it takes you ever higher.

'The Great Adventure' is masterfully sun kissed disco with crisp 80s drums, love struck chords and a yacht rock feel that is pure joy, something like topless dancing with sand between your toes and umbrellas in your cocktails.

Closer 'Fool in the Pool' sinks into gentle tabla drums and unhurried chords. It's horizontal and thoughtful - the sound of a lazy afternoon somewhere on the Mediterranean coast, gazing at glistening seas through the romantic lens flare in your sunglasses.

Two new banging reworks by DJ DSK, these tracks have been reworked from the original stems for a big sound and absolute dance floor dynamite. As usual the DNA Edits get right to the heart of the music it reworks and adds an intro and outro for easy DJ use. In this volume DJ DSK has taken on the classic Donna Summer song creating a big funky-disco remix with beefed up sound and a funky extended outro break. On the flip DJ DSK has reworked the classic INXS hit into a break beat smash with a big sound and of course intro and outro for the DJ to utilise and still contains that great vibe contained in the original song.

Horse Meat Disco grace Glitterbox Recordings with their first-ever full-length album Love & Dancing, a joyous, 14-track collection of the nightlife titans’ exquisite productions. Milton Wright's perfect deep Soul classic "Keep It Up" has always been a top shelf record, everything about it is almost flawless! Whether it's Milton's silky vocal delivery, the incessant guitar driven back beat or the total space Funk vibe of his omnipresent ARP-2600 synthesizer this record has it all. Originally released on TK Disco's more Soul and Funk orientated Alston label which was home to many legendary artists and records, this 1975 sunshine classic never fails to make people move. A classic rare groove indeed. "The Silence That You Keep" takes up side-B, a jazzy, flute driven love song that again features Milton's perfect voice and some fantastic arrangement. A real gem of a record, with the original 45 changing hands for over £100 a time in used condition.

This is the first time "Keep It Up" has been re-issued in it's original 45 rpm format with the original Alston label artwork. It's been re-mastered, re-pressed and made available again with the permission of TK Disco / Alston Records, Miami Florida, USA.

Following the reissue of Model Citizen, here is another seminal cut, out of the stellar Interactive Test's catalogue, this time by the visionary mind of Franco Falsini with one of his artist names Open Spaces, as well as the owner and mentor behind the label. Dreamy and progressive house at its best, composed at the dawn of the 90s Open Spaces is definitely another much deserved reissue, not only for the expensive price of the original 12" but because its contemporaneity and the absolutely stunning sound and deep soul.

The eternally prolific duo PSYCHEMAGIK are back once again (already?!) with yet another mind blowing edits package.

This latest offering from the Cosmic Forest is their reworking of Chillys, Yardbirds classic, For Your Love think epic 10 minute cosmic dancefloor monster complete with guitars, violins and soaring vocals.

And then there’s more… the flip “Aldeia De Ogum”, a reworking of the Joyce original, has Ibiza sunset written all over it, transporting you immediately to the beach within the first few bars.

Latin percussion blends with beautiful guitars, flutes and horns to create a truly breathtaking sonic vista .

The time has come again: Another edition of the much-loved and highly praised by critics from all around the globe compilation «Paz E Futebol» will be released on Sonar Kollektiv. After 2006 and 2016 this is already the third sequel of this terrific series of light-footed Brazilian gems and other rarities transporting the Brazilian feel for
the ball musically.

Two times Jazzanova took care of the collection, now Junior Santos is responsible for digging up the tunes. The Brazilian drummer and producer is a true expert when it comes to Brazilian music. He already caught the attention of Jazzanova’s Jürgen von Knoblauch with the 2014 released compilation «Brazilian Disco Boogie Sounds (1978-1982)» on Favorite Recordings. Together the two diggers selected eight songs that fit simply perfectly. Due to licensing reasons, the digital compilation features 2 additional songs by Chico de Abreu & Celso Rubinstein chosen by Juergen von Knoblauch. Although the
contributions originate from three different decades (1979 - 1992) they all have the discoid and boogiesque vibe in common mainly to come alive in productions from Maranhão, Rio and Bahia.

Two giants of Brazilian music back-to-back!

Jorge Ben can do it all - vocalist,songwriter, musician, producer and to many their ‘all-round’ favourite Brazilian artist. Jorge has had an amazing career, involved in music from the early 60's through to the current day, writing countless classic songs for him and other artists.

This awesome samba-disco-funk joint 'Waimea 55.000’’ is a lesser-known production, taken off a 7” B-side released on Som Livre in 1978. This is a gem which needed to be dusted off and given the
wider audience it deserves.

Baby Consuelo with her distinctive voice is one of Mr Bongo’s favourite Brazilian singers. The only female founding member of the mythical group Os Novos Baianos, Baby is a real innovator andpioneer, changing her persona and musical styles over the years, but still staying unique.
Here we have Baby at the start in raw psychedelic hippy mode,
giving a powerful vocal delivery where she manages to sound simultaneously badass and lovable. This early song was released in 1970 on RGE records on a compacto 7” credited to Baby Consuelo and additionally featured on OsNovos Bahianos’s debut album 'É Ferro Na Boneca!’ in the same year (re-issued on Mr Bongo in 2019).

Purveyor of fine disco grooves and future funk, Ron Basejam, returns to Futureboogie with the bustling 5 track EP, After The Rain'.

Having already contributed some key releases and remixes to the label, from his 2016 collaboration with Neil Diablo, his first class remix of The White Lamp's It's You' to his stellar productions as part of Crazy P, Basejam gets right down to business across all five cuts.

Rhodes keys glide over soulful vocals and a frenetic percussive workout on After The Rain' as elegant soaring strings lift the atmosphere perfectly. A raw and stripped back bass and drum funkfest shapes The French Exit', whilst on Raise', a heavy synth riff breaks out over tom-laden beats and uplifting vox.

The quality never drops as further excursions into soulful street vibes are dished out across Jacob's Chair' and the positively energetic euphoria of After The Sun'. An EP packed with many different shades of Ron Basejam's continually on point productions, this is a must for lovers of the boogie!

With previous releases on Neil Diablo's To Rack & Ruin, Tsuba, Is It Balearic and Robsoul Recordings, Bratley's Futureboogie debut opens with the searing synths and chugging arped bass of '99.9%'. Wide-eyed melodies and punchy drums demand a mirror ball moment to this fabulous cut.
Family favourite, Andrew Weatherall, takes the chugging tempo to new depths, remolding '99.9%' into a tense, reverb soaked, dubbed out sci-fi encounter.Further explorations into space disco are to be found on 'Italo Love' with luscious waves of thick analogue sound and planetary FX, whilst on 'Take Me To

The varied and changing music of Noel Williams and his Konduko label are explored further with a second series of EPs, this time expanding out of the late 70s / early 80s disco sound to encompass funk and early electro, highlighting this ground breaking artist's influence from reggae roots to the following Miami Bass sound.

Here Williams steps out of his King Sporty moniker for a series of forward thinking and now highly sought after releases. With Konduko as his vehicle, he again teamed up Bobby Caldwell. Recorded at North Miami's Ovadradial Studios, the lowrider funk is underpinned by Caldwell's arrangement, KC & The Sunshine Band's Robert Johnson (drums) and Eugene Timmons' (sax) wonderful solo.

This is augmented by Moton Inc's Diesel & Jarvis subtle but on point Discomix for extended club play. The incessant looping lifts the song and places it firmly in the long line of edit history, from Gibbons to Terje. Synonymous with the "discoid" sound of 90s London and beyond, the cut and paste skills of Diesel (Ballistic Brothers / Yellow Sox) and Jarvis (Pamela / Love Vinyl) have continued at a higher standard since. Their delicate arrangement and deceptive dubbing act the perfect foil to this special Miami funk machine.

Fabrizio Esposito was born in Naples / Italy into a family of passionate musicians and vinyl collectors. He spent his early childhood immersed in his grandparnent's extensive vinyl collection which he has since inherited, this collection heavily influenced Fabrizio and made him a fan of Italian Wave, Italo Disco, Neapolitan Funk, Soul and Disco. After all these years working in clubs and with artists Fabrizio decided it was time to realise his other dream and become a DJ and producer himself fusing together his rich musical heritage combined with his clear vision for the future, creating his own unique sound. Fabrizio explains that since he was 14 he had always been behind the scenes of parties, from a PR to a promoter, always watching the djs and producers working to create the party around them. Since this time he has always been an obsessive vinyl collector, its in his blood, so now it's time for Fabrizio to share his own passion for music with the world.

Fast forward to summer 2019, Fabrizio made his Ibiza debut DJ'ing alongside DJ Harvey and Pete Gooding at La Torre and soon after Fabrizio finished his debut track 'This Way' which was premiered by Harvey at his now 'Mercury Rising' party at Pikes.

On this set of new remixes this fantastic production talent comes head to head with longstanding remixer extraordinaire and studio master Ray Mang.
The man called Mang opts to launch the original into the outer dub-sphere in his trippy and extended High Pressure Dub. This one puts out the disco fires with gasoline!

Meanwhile on the flip, JKriv himself launches a new and raw electronic interpretation that completely reignites the original vocal performance by Adeline into an ecstatic dance floor work out.

Last, but not least, old friends and disco compatriots Pete Herbert and Dicky Trisco deliver an Aperol-infused Balearic House rework of the original, which is the perfect soundtrack for those beach sunsets and summer nights that just refuse to end quietly.

World-renowned British producer, musician and DJ Will Holland aka Quantic is set to release epic new orchestral-disco track ‘Theme From Selva’. Drenched in lush strings, bright horns, wah wah guitar and an irresistibly solid rhythm section; ‘Theme From Selva’ is a show-stopping entrance worthy of any Soul Train line. The 12”s B-Side features Quantic’s heavy disco cover of Paul McCartney and Wings’ spectacular ‘Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five’ (from their 1973 album ‘Band on the Run’), putting centre stage on the song’s famous pounding piano riffs.

Called a "one man music factory" by Billboard, Will has released over 20 albums under various pseudonyms since 2001; bringing together a deep knowledge and heavy passion for soul, disco, Latin, African, dub, electronic and club based music. Selva was built and conceived by Will and his partner Aziza Ali. They conceptualized a recording space and studio with ample natural light, the wooden-furnished grandeur of yesteryear studios, and spacious enough to house Will’s vast collections of vintage recording equipment, instruments and records. Selva also operates as a production facility, where writing, recording, mixing and vinyl mastering takes place daily. Releasing records on Selva, all made in this unique analogue recording environment, was a natural evolution.

JB Edits the edit project of Sydney, Australia based house DJ & producer Jerk Boy. He's now turned his focus to vinyl only dance floor edits of all his favourite Boogie, Balearic, Funk, Soul & Disco tunes cut, sampled, tried and tested for lower lights, bright nights and the ultimate dance floor jiggathon.

Mordisco is a Spanish duo hailing from the southern parts of Spain (Granada). Their tracks will make many dance floors move with its raw resonating synths and beats. The scat vocal samples in Odissi and Ventura are right on the money and give the music that unexpected twist. The EP is produced with excellent technique and many synth layers / percussion. This is essential material for people that play between 116 and 121 beats per minute.
